Magical Miracle

Unbeknownst to the children, Rowena and Godric travelled to the future to hold a small discussion with Bellatrix and Arthur late the same evening. After animatedly talking and drinking wine for an hour, they returned to their time, arriving five minutes after they had left, while Harry, Hermione and Ceridwen were peacefully asleep.

"They're right," Bella whispered to her husband, as she contentedly snuggled into his side readying herself to sleep. "Tomorrow morning, I'll arrange everything."
"You do that. You're the best, my clever wife," Arthur replied and gently kissed her. "Good night, love."

When Harry, Hermione and Ceridwen returned five minutes after they had left to make their wands, their father informed them that their mother was at the Unspeakables' office. When he offered to practise using their wands with them, they happily agreed and spent the rest of the morning in the Transfiguration classroom practising all kinds of Transfiguration spells.
If Harry wondered why his father had taken them to the classroom to practise, he should soon realise that it had been a wise decision, when Ceridwen cast a simple spell to change five wooden mice into five plush cats in different colours too powerfully, causing five very much alive kittens of different colours to run around the classroom, closely followed by Inu and Luna.
While Ceridwen began to apologize, Harry and Hermione laughed aloud seeing how the canines chased the kittens, before Arthur banished them with a flick of his wand.
"That was a little too much magic." He smirked at Ceridwen, who nodded and once again apologized.
After practising with Rowena the previous evening and training with Arthur for about three hours, they finally felt somehow confident, especially knowing that the other first-years would not be proficient at casting spells yet either.
'At least, we can do all the spells wandlessly if necessary,' he thought in relief.

When they returned home, their mother looked incredibly smug. 'What did she do now?' Harry wondered, knowing that his mother loved to meddle with things; however, before he could voice his question, she motioned for them to get ready for lunch in the Great Hall.
When they arrived in the Great Hall, which was still decorated for his birthday, Harry noticed in surprise that Amelia Bones and a very old wizard with a long white beard were visiting.
'What are they doing here?' he wondered, as he happily greeted Amelia, who was one of his mother's best friends and had been his and Hermione's unofficial aunt ever since they had been very small.
Before he could further ponder the matter, the old wizard spoke up, as soon as the six of them had taken her seats with little Lily sitting between his parents.
"The youngsters here might not know me. I am Albus Dumbledore, former headmaster of Hogwarts," the old wizard introduced himself, before he continued, "The Unspeakables have informed everyone of the disaster, which you have prevented from occurring yesterday morning. Therefore, Cornelius Fudge retired as of last night, and I was elected as the new Minister of Magic in a Wizengamot meeting this morning."
"Congratulations, Albus." Minerva smiled.
'Granny Minerva probably knew, considering that she's on the Wizengamot,' Harry realised.
"Thank you, Headmistress. Anyway, I have come to award Harry Potter-Black-Weasley and his sister Hermione Black-Weasley as well as Bellatrix Black, Amelia Bones and Rowena Ravenclaw the Order of Merlin first class for saving the magical world."
"Excuse me, sir," Harry interrupted the old wizard. "Would you mind waiting two minutes? Please let me fetch Professor Ravenclaw."
The old wizard nodded, pleasantly. "Of course, my boy. Of course. Take your time."

"Harry, please fetch all four founders," Bella whispered to her son, who nodded in agreement.
'Grandfather, would you mind coming to the Great Hall at Hogwarts please? And please bring Croaker,' Bella thought to her team colleague and head of her family.
'We shall be there in two minutes.'
Two minutes later, Harry returned with the four senior founders of Hogwarts in tow, just when Ra and Croaker entered the Great Hall.
Bella watched proudly how Dumbledore awarded the Order of Merlin first class to her children, before she accepted hers as well together with Amelia and Rowena.
"Congratulations everyone," Dumbledore said, pleasantly, before he turned to the second reason for his presence at Hogwarts. "Now, Professor Black-Weasley informed me that Harry, Hermione and their friend Ceridwen Hufflepuff," he nodded at the three, "have already finished their OWLs and NEWTs and have even taken masteries in the time of the founders of Hogwarts. She showed me their results and asked me to recognise them in this time."
When the children stared at the old wizard in apparent disbelief, causing Bella to inwardly chuckle, Dumbledore produced a few parchments from his robe pocket.
"Your OWLs, NEWTs and masteries, valid in our time." He grinned, pleasantly, as he handed the documents to the seemingly stunned eleven-year-olds. "I trust that you make yourselves acquainted with your mastery subjects in this time. Now, I give word to Professor Black-Weasley."
"Thank you, Minister." Bella smiled. Turning to the three children, she explained her recent thoughts. "I know that you have always intended to become first-years again; however, I believe that it would be an enormous waste of time. Even if you might need to live in this time, because according to that prophecy Harry has to finish off Voldemort sometime in the future, you would be more efficiently able to do such a thing as an Unspeakable than as a first-year.
"Bellatrix, if I may?"
"Of course." Bella nodded at Croaker, smiling.
"I am Head Unspeakable Croaker. I already invited Harry to work with the Unspeakables the day before yesterday, when he together with the other recipients of the Order of Merlin saved a great deal of people of our world. I now extend the invitation to Hermione and Ceridwen. I believe that your expertise is invaluable and it would indeed be a waste of time for you to become first-years once again. You will be much more efficiently able to work as Unspeakables. I would like to add Harry and Hermione to Team 5, where Ra here is the head. For Ceridwen, I offer a position in the team of our Healers. They told me that they are very interested in an exchange of knowledge between you and them."
Bella observed in amusement how the three children exchanged a glance and nodded, barely noticeably.
"Head Unspeakable Croaker, we are only eleven though." Her daughter was the first to verbally react.
"That is not a problem." Salazar held out three small phials.
"Excuse me, sir." Hermione sounded bewildered. "Is that the antidote? Have you been carrying that around for years?"
Andromeda chuckled. "Your mother has been working for the Unspeakables for decades. If anyone is able to cause a magical miracle, it is her."
"Salazar, not here." Helga rose from her chair and ushered her husband and the three still eleven-year-olds into the antechamber, while the remaining professors eagerly discussed the matter.
"I was looking forward to having them as students." Minerva seemed sad at the idea that they might leave Hogwarts.
Rowena grinned. "They will intensely train with the Unspeakables for a few years, but they will still reside with their family at Hogwarts anyway, before they will become professors here. Ceridwen is going to be the professor for Healing, Hermione for Ancient Magic and Harry for Computer Studies, while Harry will replace you as the headmaster with you as his deputy and possibly granny to his and Ceridwen's children."
"Really? Are they going to marry?" Godric spoke up in obvious excitement. "Helga will be delighted."
"If no one changes the future." Rowena shrugged, grinning.
Just then, Helga and Salazar emerged with three young adults in tow. Hermione was walking ahead, while Harry and Ceridwen stopped, smiling and holding hands, when Inu and Luna jumped up at them in apparent delight.
"Today is Harry's seventeenth birthday," Helga announced, pleasantly. "Hermione and Ceridwen are already seventeen."
"A magical miracle indeed." Bella chuckled, while Dumbledore offered everyone a lemon drop.
The End
Due to the lack of resonance, I have decided to end this story here. Thanks to the very few regular reviewers for their kind support!
