AN: This is just a heads up, some chapters that will have a Pokemon battle might take me longer than normal. It's because I don't want to write them so the protagonist/main character(s) win easily or fast. I want them to be more then "protagonist uses move and win the match". Most likely these will be gym battles, might be other battles but it depends on how I'm feeling. Just wanted to let people know.

Chapter 5

[Pewter City]

The group of Royal Woods trainers had finally made it to the place of their first gym battle. They were at the pokecenter reserving beds for that night and getting their Pokemon checked up. Ronnie Anne and Clyde were waiting for their Pokemon in the lobby, while Lynn was at the public video phones. The 2 teens tried talking to a couple of trainers that were there, but most ignored them or insulted them. Only 1 trainer acted friendly with them and had a good conversation. Right now they were watching a rerun of Lincoln's gym match in Vermilion on one of the TVs.

"Wow, Lincoln and Lynn are on a different level than us," Clyde commented while watching the match.

"We'll catch up to him soon enough" Ronnie Anne commented with a look of determination. "We now know the Pewter Gym is a rock gym and know we'll most likely have to defeat two Pokemon to earn our first badge."

"You'll have a harder time," her companion commented, looking at her. "My Oddish will have a type advantage, but your Nidoran doesn't."

"Just remember that anything can happen in a battle" Lynn spoke up from behind, startling them. "I've finished everything I needed to do, are you two ready to head to the gym?" Both nodded with smiles. "Then let's go," Lynn said with a nod and led them to the gym.

[Pewter Gym]

The building itself was fairly large and easy to Identify. Beside the front doors was a sign that had "Pewter City Gym", as well as a huge Rock Type symbol above the doors. The inside was impressive and something the two young trainers weren't expecting. It looked like an arena where people go to watch live events. In the center of the room was a large professional battlefield, with stands with seating on both sides of it. At the opposite sides of the battlefield were areas where the trainer and Gym Leader would stand.

As Ronnie Anne and Clyde looked around, a young man with tan skin and spiky brown hair. He wore a green collared shirt, an orange vest with brown trim, khaki pants with knee stitching, and blue high-top sneakers. "Welcome to the Pewter City Gym" he greeted the group with a smile. "I'm Brock the Gym Leader, are any of you here to compete for the gym badge?"

"All three of us actually" Lynn replied with a smile of her own, before pointing a thumb at the 2 behind her. "This is their first Gym Challenge, I have already competed in three different ones. If you need proof, you can scan my trainer license."

Lynn handed her license to him, which he scanned with his poketch. It brought up her trainer profile. It showed what Leagues she entered in the past and how far she made it in those Leagues. He nodded and gave her license back. "So you have, this means I could use stronger Pokemon in our battle if you like."

"I would actually" Lynn confirmed with a grin. "I would also like to go first out of the three of us, to show these two a gym battle in person."

"That's fine with me, are you two okay with that?" Brock asked the younger trainers. Both nodded in agreement. "Very well then, you two go take a seat in the stands. As for you Lynn, I'm sure you know where to go right." All 3 went where they were supposed to go, while Brock went to retrieve the proper Pokemon from the back. Upon returning he was followed by another man wearing an outfit resembling a referee. Once the dark skinned gym leader took his place, the referee began to speak.

"This is an official match between Brock of the Pewter City Gym and Lynn Loud Junior from Royal Woods." His voice was loud, clear, and echoed throughout the building. "Both trainers will be able to use two Pokemon, with only the challenger being able to switch out Pokemon. The battle is over when both of someone's Pokemon is unable to battle or one forfeits. The match begins now."

"Come out Gigalith" Brock shouted as he threw his pokeball.

"Let's do this, Medicham" Lynn called out, throwing out her own pokeball.

Both Ronnie Anne and Clyde had seen all 6 of Lynn's Pokemon during their travels. However this was one they haven't seen before when feeding her Pokemon, so they wonder where she got it. As both Pokemon stared at each other while waiting for their trainers commands. "Medicham, start things off with a Low Kick!" The meditating Pokemon listened and went to sweep the legs of its opponent. Unfortunately the Gigalith jumped over and away from the kick.

"Gigalith, use Gem Power" the scarlet rocks on its body glowed before firing a beam of light at Medicham.

"Dodge those Medicham and use High Jump Kick" Lynn shouted from her position. Medicham was able to avoid the strike, only to see another coming towards her. She then leapt into the air, dodging the attacks while positioning her for her own attack. Once ready she soared downwards towards Gigalith, but Gigalith was faster and jumped out of the way at the last second. This caused Medicham to smash into the ground, causing her damage and stunning her.

"Now's your chance, Gigalith, use Stone Edge!" Said Pokemon let out a roar as a sharpened stone rips through the ground Medicham and stabs her. The pain forces her to break out of her stunned state and move. However as she moves, Gigalith has a Stone Edge ready for her. This forced her to constantly have to dodge attacks.

"This is getting us nowhere, Medicham uses Psychic on Gigalith!" Medicham stood in place and took the Stone Edge so she could focus on Gigalith. She winced in pain, but was able to catch Gigalith in her Psychic attack. She then started to lift it in the air and slam it into the ground repeatedly. Brock shouted attacks for Gigalith to use, but it couldn't focus on what was going on. "Good now bring it towards you and use Focus Punch!" Medicham nodded in understatement before making so Gigalith is falling towards without its Psychic attack. She then focused her mind as her hands started to glow with energy.

"Quick Gigalith use Giga Impact on it before its attack is ready!" Gigalith's body started to glow as it picked up speed towards the Meditating Pokemon. Just before it could impact, Medicham used its Focus Punch and both moves collided. This caused an explosion that threw both Pokemon backwards. Both were damaged from the explosion, but only Medicham was able to get back up afterwards.

"Gigalith is unable to battle," the referee announced after seeing both Pokemon. "The winner is Medicham." Ronnie Anne and Clyde cheered from the stands, while Lynn and Medicham just did a fist pump.

Brock recalled his Gigalith and thanked it before looking back at his opponent. "You trained your Pokemon well Lynn, though I'm not surprised seeing I'm going against the Fighting American."

Both younger trainers looked at the Gym Leader confused, while Lynn just smirked. "Did they add that title to my profile?" She asked playfully.

"I'm afraid not," Brock answered with a chuckle. "It's kinda hard for Gym Leaders of any region to not hear of the brother and sister trainers from the other world. Lincoln Loud the Other Worldly Trainer and his sister Lynnsanity the Fighting American. You're just as famous here as you are in your home world." The teen trainers in the stands were shocked by this. Sure they knew Lincoln and Lynn were famous back home, but didn't know they were famous here with titles of their own. "Now that's enough pleasantries, it's time for the next battle, come out Golem."

Once Lynn saw the Pokemon her smirk turned into a smile. "I see you're using an Alolan Golem," she said, eyeing the Rock/Electric Pokemon. "Medicham take a rest" she said as she returned the Pokemon to her pokeball before throwing a different one. "Time to show them what you got, Lucario." The Aura Pokemon let out a battle cry then got ready for the battle.

"Alright Golem, use Earth Power!" the ground underneath Lucario started to crack.

"Use Quick Attack to dodge and use Power-Up Punch on Golem!" Lucario wasn't able to dodge the Earth Power that erupted under him. It did tumble from the hit, but got back up to charge at the Megaton Pokemon to attack.

"Use Earthquake to stop it from getting closer!" Brock shouted to see the Fighting/Steel Pokemon coming towards his Pokemon with a Power-Up Punch. Golem started stomping the ground, creating an earthquake on the battlefield.

"Lucario, dodge this attack by using High Jump Kick!" The Aura Pokemon suddenly leapt into the air before speeding towards the Rock Pokemon.

"Golem quickly uses Dig to avoid the attack!" Golem stopped its stomping and started to dig, but wasn't fast enough and took the kick. The rock Pokemon stopped digging due to the pain from the kick.

"Now use Power-Up Punch on it!" Lucario nodded in acknowledgement and started punching the Megaton Pokemon. With each punch, Lucario fists harder and does more damage each time.

"Use Thundershock to try Lucario back!" Hearing its trainer's order it released electricity at the Aura Pokemon. Unfortunately Lucario didn't even flinch being hit with the attack and continued to punch it. Golem eventually had enough and fainted, causing both electricity and punches to stop.

"Golem is unable to battle" the referee announced while holding his hand on Lynn's side up in the air. "Lucario is the winner and Lynn Loud has won the match." Both teens in the stands cheered, while Lynn herself let out a loud cheer for her victory.

Brock recalled his Golem giving it his thanks for its hard work. He then walked over to the red wearing teen, who was congratulating and thanking her Lucario. "That certainly was a good match, you and your Pokemon have a strong bond. You also trained them well, so it is my pleasure to present you with the Boulder Badge." He pulled a badge that looked like a rock from his pocket and held it out to her.

"Thanks and it was an awesome match" Lynn replied with a smile as she took the badge from him. She looked at it for a few seconds before putting it in her badge case and walking to the stands.

"Now which one of you two will I face next?" Brock asked, looking towards the 2 trainers in the stands.
