AN: Okay here's a short chapter. Now to the guest who reviewed about Brock joining the group, it's not a bad idea. However it doesn't quite fit with this story. The reason is because I made the Pokemon World have actions slightly closer to our real world. This includes rules and laws similar to our world. Meaning Brock wouldn't be able to suddenly stop being a Gym Leader to go traveling with random trainers, at least not without a valid reason and someone to replace him that the League approves of. As for having his father come in and take over for him, I'm not a fan of this. I didn't think about it when I was younger, but now Brock leaving his siblings to travel was a pretty dumb move. He was leaving them with their father, but due to some of the siblings' ages he might've well been a random stranger. To some of them Brock was the only parent any of them knew, then one day he just left them with a stranger to go traveling the world. Am I overanalyzing and overthinking a children's show? Yes I am. Anyways that's the reason and a small rant, hope you enjoy and if then all I can say is sorry.

Chapter 10
[Route 3]
The 3 Royal Woods Trainers were currently taking a break on their way to Cerulean City. Ronnie Anne was attempting to train Poochyena with little success, Clyde was cooking as it was his turn, and Lynn with her Lycanroc were watching over both of them ready to help them if they needed it.
"Come on Poochyena, can't you just listen to me once?" Ronnie Anne pleaded with frustration. The Bite Pokemon simply barked at and growled at her. "What do I need to do to get you to trust me?" She only received the same response, reaching her limit she pulled out Poochyena pokeball and returned her to it. The young girl let out a sigh of frustration before sitting on the ground with a frown on her face. Lynn seeing this went over her to talk with her. "What am I doing wrong?" She asked the older girl who sat beside her. "I feel like I tried everything and nothing gets Poochyena to listen to me."
"Getting Poochyena's trust isn't going to be easy" the athletic girl started saying. "Poochyenas' offend are in packs and and will show aggression to anything. However yours most likely was abandoned by a human, giving her more reason to show aggression and not trust humans. All you can do is keep showing reasons why to trust you, or release her, which I don't think you want to do." Ronnie Anne nodded in understanding and agreement. "It's hard work, but when you manage to get their trust, you'll get a great member to your team. Both me and Linc had to do it and now we got a strong member to our teams."
"Wait! Both you and Lincoln had to deal with the same thing I do?" Ronnie Anne asked, bewildered at hearing such a thing. Clyde, while still cooking, listened in on the conversation as he was curious about this as well.
"Yeah, for Linc it was Diablo and for me it was my Kommo-o" Lynn replied with a smile at the younger girl's expression. "I got my Kommo-o when it was a Jango-o from an unofficial breeder. The breeder was trying to breed a shiny Jango-o, so I bought one of the rejects. He was doing the same things your Poochyena is doing, it took a lot of time and effort. Things didn't get easier when he evolved into a Hakamo-o, but after months to a year of time I finally earned Hakamo-o trust and he listened and worked with me." Ronnie Anne ponders what she just heard, while Clyde silently continues to listen. "So don't get to frustrated, earning trust of Pokemon who's been hurt by people is a long process."
"How long did it take for Lincoln with Diablo?" Clyde asked, startling the 2 girls. Neither of them realized he was listening as well.
"Well Linc caught Diablo when he was a Salamence" Lynn started to reply. "From what Linc told me, Diablo was also rejected by a trainer trying to hatch a perfect Bagon. Since he wasn't, the trainer released him into the wild not too long after hatching. Diablo went his whole life not trusting humans, then he and Lincoln met. I don't know how Linc caught him, he said it was personal and left it at that, but that was the start of Diablo starting to trust people again. Diablo only started to completely trust and listen to Linc about a year and a half ago. So it took Lincoln around two year or so to get Diablo's trust." Both younger trainers looked at her with shocked and disbelieving expressions at her. "Remember Diablo is much older than your Poochyena, so I doubt it will take that long. Plus Diablo was fully evolved which didn't make things easier, just keep trying and eventually Poochyena will trust you."
Both younger teens looked at each other, not sure if they should believe her words. "Well anyways, lunch is ready," Clyde said. All 3 of them released their Pokemon so they all could eat together.
[Saffron Gym, Saffron City]
Lincoln, with Wolfsbane at his side, had just finished his Pokemon battle with Saffron Gym Leader. The Gym Leader was Sabrina, Master of Psychic Pokémon. She has long black hair with shorter layers around her face and a fringe and small purple eyes. She wore a red and black dress with yellow cuffs over black tights/leggings, white gloves, and red and yellow knee-high boots. Her Alakzam was knocked out on the battlefield, with Lincoln's Mismagius, named Enchantress, looking tired and battered but still standing.
Sabrina recalled her Alakzam and pulled out a Marsh Badge. Her face was serious and yet cold, just like it had been through the whole match. She then used her own psychic powers to levitate it over to him. "Congratulations, you earned the Marsh Badge" she said to him in an emotionless voice. She then turned and walked away.
Lincoln recalled Enchantress and simply shrugged his shoulders at the gym leader's attitude. "A bit cold and serious, but not the worst attitude I have seen from a gym leader" he said to himself nonchalantly. He then made his way out of the gym. Upon leaving he looked to the sky to see how much daylight he had left. 'I wonder how Lynn, Clyde, and Ronnie Anne are doing?'
