POV Garp
Finally, Home. For all that Garp spent most of his life at Sea or Marineford Foosha will always be home.
On setting foot on the island Garp used his Observation Haki and immediately pinged Luffy, Makino, Dadan and Woop Slap. Luffy is in the forest fighting some oversized cat, Makino is at the bar, Dadan in her shack with other bandits and Woop Slap is coming toward the docks now to greet Garp, Garp usually leaves his men at Loguetown for shore leave whenever Garp goes home. Mayor Woop Slap for all that he is a civilian, hence weak always comes to receive anyone who comes to Foosha whether they be traders, pirates or Marines to lay down ground rules for their stay at Foosha, guy has balls, Garp gives him that.
" Garp! You heard what Ace did? The brat set sail as a pirate and even gotten a bounty, he will drag good name of Foosha Village through mud I tell you! ", Woop Slap exclaimed, even though the tone is angry, it is hard to miss fondness in the man's eye at Aces name.
" Bwahahahaha, don't worry, don't worry, I will have a talk with that grandson mine when I hunt him down. So how are things around here? ", Garp replied.
" Things are fine Garp, only troublemaker around is your other Grandson and even he isn't around that much anymore, spends all his time in the jungle, says he is training to get stronger to become Pirate King, the stubborn boy", Woop Slap replied, with a fond smile at the thought of Luffy.
Ah Luffy always did that to anyone who knew him. Garp knows all D s have that strange charisma going for them, but even among them Luffy is special, brat has that uncanny ability to make friends outta anyone.
" No worries, no worries, I will straighten the brat out too. I am going to find the brat now, I will come around later for a drink", Garp called out and went to Luffy in a straight line.
While walking Garp thought on what he should train Luffy in next. While the way Garp trained his Grandsons may seem non sensical, downright ridiculous and perhaps even sadistic and abusive to others, there is a perfectly good reason for it, in his long life filled with battles, Garp came across many D's and he has observed something weird, D's are on average Stronger both physically and mentally compared to everyone else, of course everyone can become strong if they work for it in this world, those born gifted or even those born with disadvantages can reach pinnacle of strength if they apply themselves, if they have the Will, yet it is undeniable that D's have an advantage, from the age of seven, while other children of his age were playing in the streets, Garp had hunted for his own food in the very jungle he was walking through, got into fights with grown men, even won some of them, Dragon did the same at that age, so had Ace and Luffy and Ace got into more fights than even Garp had, ah good times, those were the days. Anyways, the point being that D's have that advantage, some more some less yet they have it all the same. Sabo was a veritable freak of nature, one in a million, for being able to keep up with Ace and Luffy, if only those Celestial Cunts hadn't killed the sweet boy, he would've been among the strongest in the World, what a waste.
So, Garp decided to train his grandsons so that they can exploit the fullest potential of their innate gifts and to lay a strong foundation for learning Six Powers and Haki later on. Ace and Luffy are physically stronger, faster and more agile with greater reflexes and better instincts than any other in their age group by a wide margin, and Garp will eat his favorite dog mask if Luffy and Ace didn't have basics of Armament and Observation Haki down pat in six months and be adepts at Haki in two years and downright masters in four once taught, and Garp will wager a cargo hold worth of his favorite rice crackers that both his living grandsons and dead grandson have Conquerors Haki. And they will learn at least two of Six Powers inside a month if taught.
While Garp can't teach Ace Six Powers and Haki anymore, what with the brat running off and raising the jolly roger, Garp will at least arrange something so that the brat could learn, that leaves Luffy, What to teach the brat first? Garp has maybe three months to report back at Marineford, perhaps he could stretch it by another month before Sengoku starts breathing down his neck. So four months, what to teach? Hmmm, got it. Atleast Geppo (Moonwalk) and Soru (Shave) for greater mobility and bare bones of Armament and Observation, I don't have enough time to teach the brat every step but leaving Luffy with some exercises for practice after I am gone will have to be enough for now. Ha, seems I am getting nearer and the brat is fighting the Tiger Lord of the jungle, at least the brat is training, lets see how much he improved.
