Chapter 359: West Range
Thursday, February 2nd, Afternoon (Eastern Standard Time)
On the Main Floor of Beaulieu Manor's West Range is the so call fitting room. This room is where Brooke and her on-staff tailors would work with exclusive clients. This room was where Brooke would get most of her models fitted for shows around the world; of course, final tweaks are done at the show.
Currently, Brooke was taking advantage and had three women on platforms being fitted. Brooke would walk from platform to platform, Sam Walker right behind her with a tablet, taking notes. Brooke would check each woman, ask a few questions and give quick directives to the tailor.
Elizabeth "Ellie" Scott looked over to the other platforms and saw Angela and Brett also getting fitted. Brooke looked up at Ellie.
"Ellie," Brooke said, to no response, "Ellie," she repeated louder, to more silence, "Elizabeth!" Brooke finally said, loud.
"What?" Ellie asked.
"Try and pay attention," Brooke said.
"I'm just a mannequin right now; I'm bored," Ellie said.
"You're throwing her fitting off; do you want to be here longer?" Brooke asked.
"No, I'm surprised you don't have Kay up here being fitted," Ellie said.
"Your older sister, well, being the dutiful daughter she is, already had all her outfits fitted," Brooke said.
"For both shows?" Ellie asked.
"Yes, for both shows," Brooke said.
"Kay isn't booked for either show," Sam whispered into Brooke's ear.
"She doesn't know that," Brooke said, and Sam nodded.
"There are two shows?" Brett asked.
"You're only in one; then you'll be heading home," Brooke said.
"Oh, good," Brett said.
Brooke shrugged and walked over to Angela. "I'm surprised you don't have Jess in here watching," Brooke said.
"Yeah, where is Jess?" Ellie asked.
"She's off with Wyatt, Nomi, and Ellis," Angela said.
"It's good they get along," Ellie said, "Wyatt is around these two French Girls all the time."
"Well, I hope Nomi is good to him," Brooke said.
"What does that mean?" Ellie asked.
"Gee, the granddaughter of Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis, what is there to worry about?" Angela asked and chuckled.
"Let's not forget she's also a Scott," Brooke said, pointedly to Angela and Ellie.
"True," Angela said.
"I think Nomi likes Wyatt, so she's not rough on him," Angela said.
"Nomi is Nomi," Brooke said and moved over to Brett. Brooke looked over the tall ginger and nodded. "So, far, so good," Brooke said.
Brett nodded.
"Why are you so quiet, Brett? You're usually all mouth," Brooke said.
"Just thinking about practice and how someone backstabbed me there, Nana Brooke," Brett said.
"Backstabbing at practice, I got to hear this," Ellie said.
"I've told you already, Lucas invited me to practice, and I brought Jess," Angela said.
"Right, you didn't know Candi would be waiting there in a mask?" Brett asked.
"What? Wait! Was Candi at your practice? In a mask? Please tell me it was a gimp mask. It has to be a gimp mask. I knew she had some dark secrets," Ellie said.
Angela shook her head. "You like Candi," she said.
"That's true, I've always been close to my oldest sister, but I've always wondered if she had a dark side," Ellie said.
"God, I'd never want to know that about my sisters," Brett said.
"No bother," Angela said.
"So, was it a gimp mask?" Ellie asked.
"No, a balaclava," Brett said.
Brooke stood there laughing at them. Brett looked at Brooke. "What's so funny, Nana Brooke?" she asked.
"Well, you're pissed at Angela because you think she's in on it when she's clearly a decoy. Angela is protesting her innocence, even though she knows that she was used as a decoy. Finally, Ellie is more concerned if her sister was wearing an S&M mask," Brooke said.
"Thank God I left Jess with Wyatt, Nomi, and Jess," Angela said.
Brooke shook her head, "Yeah, she's a bit young for S&M knowledge," she said.
"Well, that was disappointing," Ellie said.
"So, Nana Brooke, you mean to tell me Angela wasn't involved," Brett said.
"If she was, she was a pawn," Brooke said.
"What's this about?" Brett asked.
"It's called a Tom Beckett; basically, they bring in a ringer to teach you a lesson," Brooke said.
"I've heard he's done this before," Angela said.
"Who's Tom Beckett?" Brett asked.
"A character on a TV show," Brooke said.
Ellie laughed, "This is good," she said.
"Look here, Missy," Brooke said to the laughing blonde.
"What?" Ellie asked.
"I had to bail you out of your drama in New York," Brooke said.
"You helped," Ellie said.
"Ghosting someone isn't the answer," Brooke said.
"Yeah, well, you know she didn't give me the distance I wanted," Ellie said.
"Speaking of which, have you talked to your other friends up there?" Brooke asked.
"I've exchanged a few texts with them," Ellie said.
"Texts, Ellie, really? You flee New York, and you don't have the courtesy to at least talk them on the phone," Brooke said.
"People don't talk on the phone anymore, Aunt Brooke," Ellie said.
"That's no excuse, Elizabeth," Brooke said.
"OOO… she used your full name," Brett said.
"Brett, stay out of this," Ellie and Brooke said at the same time.
"It's best to stay out of it," Angela said.
"What's going on?" Brett asked.
"A test of wills," Angela said.
"Who usually wins?" Brett asked.
"Brooke," Angela said.
"Nana Brooke? Always?" Brett asked.
"Always," Angela said.
Brooke looked at Ellie, "You need to be a good friend," she said.
"You also said I needed to discover who Ellie is, and Ellie didn't have friends in New York City," Ellie said.
"Of course, you took it literally," Brooke said, "That's one of the few things your twin have in common."
"I'm offended by that," Ellie said.
"What? The truth?" Brooke asked.
"Aunt Brooke," Ellie said.
"Don't Aunt Brooke me, just talk to your friends," Brooke said.
Ellie sighed and nodded, "Yes, Aunt Brooke," she said.
Brooke nodded, "Now, Ladies, go change into the next outfit; please don't ruin the markings," Brooke said.
"Yes, Brooke," the three women said and headed off to the changing rooms. Brooke smiled and nodded.
