What Jesus Sees
Jesus sees us as a beautiful thing,
Though we are shameful and unrefined.
A piece of fine pottery,
Though we are broken in to many shards.
A woven fabric of beautiful colors,
Though we are just a dangling thread.
Jesus sees us as a fully bloomed rose in the
midst of a meadow,
Though we are only a tiny seedling overgrown
by weeds.
He sees us as a nation come together, worshiping
His name as one body and one spirit,
Though we are scattered apart by various lusts,
hatred, and greed.
He sees us as a mighty wave of the ocean,
Though we are just a tiny drop of rain in the desert.
Yes, my friends, what Jesus sees in us is not
what we see of ourselves.
The reason for mercy is that He sees what we will become,
and not who we are at the moment.
THINK ABOUT THAT!
