Chapter 471: Upper East Side

Tuesday, February 14th, Evening

After finishing up at the venue, Trin changed for her date. Trin's long-suffering assistant Jacinth brought Trin's clothes back to the office before returning home.

Trin looked at her outfit, just enough balance between slutty and respectable. Something that neither Sabrina nor her mom would approve of. Trin liked that. Trin smiled, quickly adjusted her hair, and ordered herself an Uber.

Once she got into the Uber and headed towards a destination. Trin leaned back in the backseat and watched the city drive by. Trin drummed her fingers on the door, her nails making noise.

At their destination, Trin got out and headed into the bar. She was looking around the place she found Zav sitting in one of the booths. Trin walked over to the booth and slid in across from Zav.

"Trin, how are you?" Zav asked.

"Busy," Trin said.

"Want to talk about it?" Zav asked.

"No," Trin said.

"So, what do you want to do?" Zav asked.

"Eat, drink, and be merry," Trin said.

"Well then, let's start with the drinks," Zav said.

"I'm all in on that," Trin said.

Zav smiled as the waiter walked over. They ordered their drinks and looked across the table at each other.

"So, why are you so busy?" Zav asked.

"I have a big thing for work tomorrow," Trin said.

"Oh well, how big?" Zav asked.

"I rather not talk about it," Trin said.

"What do you want to talk about?" Zav asked.

"Anything but work," Trin said.

"What was your life like?" Zav asked.

"Responsibility," Trin said.

"I'd figure t was sex, drug, and rock and roll," Zav said, laughing.

"At one time, maybe," Trin said.

"Oh, really, I'd got to hear that story," Zav said.

"Not much to hear about, so why even tell," Trin said.

"Why not?" Zav asked.

"Not much to it," Trin said.

"Awe, come on," Zav said.

"Okay," Trin said.

"So, tell me," Zav said.

"Patience," Trin said.

"Okay," Zav said.

'Every hour of the band Mental Lapse?" Trin asked.

"Yeah," Zav said, with a bright smile on his face, "They were great."

"I sort of followed them around for a while," Trin said.

"You were a groupie?" Zav asked.

Trin nodded slightly, "You could say that," she said.

"Was it true that they had wild backstage parties?" Zav asked.

"No, no, they didn't," Trin said.

"They didn't?" Zav asked.

"The parties were at the hotel," Trin said.

"No shit," Zav said.

"Yeah, some real Led Zeppelin shit," Trin said.

"That's crazy," Zav said.

"It was fun," Trin said, matter-of-factly.

"Was it true that Brian Scott was a hedonist?" Zav asked.

Trin nodded, "Yes, he was, not a first, but he was," she said.

"Wow," Zav said.

'Brian was very young when he became famous," Trin said.

"Too much too soon?" Zav asked.

"Yeah, the flame that burns the brightest burns half as long," Trin said and looked at Zav. The two looked at each other and nodded.

The waiter brought over their drinks. They ordered the pub food and went back to looking at each other.

"So, did you get to know the band?" Zav asked.

Trin looked off in the distance. Of course, that was a difficult question; of course, she knew Brian, Kat, Lucan, but she wasn't sure about the others. Also, she didn't want Zav to know all about her past with Brian. Her being a groupie was a bit of a stretch, maybe only a little. Trin never followed the band like Gabi.

"I did a few of them," Trin said casually.

"Was Kat Hartmann one of them?" Zav asked.

"I knew Kat," Trin said.

Zav nodded, "She always seemed the most aloof," Zav said.

"Kat had her ways. She was always focused on the music," Trin said.

"So, she wasn't a stone-cold bitch," Zav said.

"No, Kat is very conservative; also, she's a bit of an introvert," Trin said.

"Oh, I still don't know why she left the band," Zav said.

Trin shrugged, "She left when they weren't on tour, so there wasn't anything I saw," she said.

"Oh, wow, so they were in the studio when it happened," Zav said.

Trin shrugged, "I guess you could say that" she said.

"I heard that Brian really did a number on Kat, hence why it seems a lot of her songs are about him," Zav said.

"I wouldn't know about that," Trin said, but it was close to the truth; Brian and Kat were a force when they were together musically.

"Wow," Zav said.

"Aren't you bored with this subject?" Trin asked; he was drifting to territory she didn't want to tread.

"One more question," Zav said.

"Fine," Trin said.

"Was it true that Brian was a triple with two fans?" Zav asked.

Trin looked at Zav. That question was a little too close to home for her. Trin would consider what happened between her, Brian, and Gabi as a thruple. Trin was never intimate with Gabi. In fact, to say she was friends with Gabi at the end would even be a stretch. Brian wanted a harem and possibly would push for a thruple.

"I didn't see anything like that," Trin said.

"Oh," Zav said.

"Sorry to disappoint you," Trin said.

"Oh, it's okay," Zav said.

Trin smiled as their food arrived, ending the conversation.
