All through the day, that message was invading their every thought without the need of Vizkaroth's abilities. By now, he had exacerbated their fear of the world devouring their children to such extent that the sole idea of doing something that could once and for all protect them from evil was too good to just let slip. The cost would never seem greater than having to lose any one of their children, to evil or untimely death.

"Good night, my sweet" Sam told her eldest daughter as he tucked her in. Julian waited patiently for mommy's kiss goodnight, examining his little fingers which Sam kissed repeatedly once she reached his bed. "Good night, my darling boy"

"Sweet dreams, Angie" Wyatt was telling their baby daughter in the next room. He turned to check on Kai's diaper, but he was blissfully dry. "Good night, buddy" he kissed his little head before turning to leave the room. He stared at them on his way out, thinking he would give them the world if he could… and maybe he could.

"Switch" said Sam kissing him on her way to the other room to say goodnight to the babies. Wyatt went into Julian and Meghan's room to do the same.

"Daddy hug" said little Meghan and Wyatt skipped a beat at the sound of her voice.

"Of course, princess" he went to give her a hug first. "Sweet dreams, Meg" he caressed her little head as she lied back against her pillow. He went over to Julian who showed him his stuffed pirate. "What you got there? Mr. Pirate? He must be exhausted, aren't you?" he made the pirate nod. "See?" he hugged his son tight. "Good night, little man" Julian picked the pirate up again. "Oh, an apology, Mr. Pirate. Have a good night yourself" he kissed the doll and Julian smiled, pleased, before hugging the doll.

Once in their own bedroom, Sam brushed her hair in front of the bathroom mirror, while Wyatt brushed his teeth.

"You look hot foaming at the mouth" Sam joked. Wyatt growled before rinsing. "Wet kisses, my favorite" she giggled as he kissed her cheek with traces of water still on his face.

"You ready for bed?" he pressed his cheek against hers.

"Almost" she tilted her head backwards to kiss his lips.

"Don't be too long" he told her, spanking her on his way out the bathroom. He lied down on the bed, in search of some rest for the night, but he knew perfectly well there was no way he was gonna be able to do that. He rubbed his face in mild despair and took his shirt off to make himself more comfortable. He rested his head against the headboard and stared into space with a would-be calm sigh.

He always told himself and his beloved that he would turn the world upside down if need be, if that's what it took to save their children. Now he was actually presented with the opportunity to do just that.

"May I join you?" Sam teased standing by the side of the bed, running a finger up his leg.

"Always" he said stretching his arms, welcoming her. She climbed on top of him with his help, where they held each other tight. She slid down enough to set her head on his chest and sighed just as heavily as he was.

They held each other tight in silence, even the crickets outside seemed to know important things were going through their heads and decided to remain silent.

"How long are we gonna pretend we're not doing this?" Sam whispered, kissing Wyatt's chest a couple times before resting her head on him again. Wyatt didn't have to reply to that, not in words anyway. He pressed her back, pulling her closer to him and kissed the top of her head. They both firmly believed by now that if the world were different, their daughter and the rest of their children would see it as a safe place to just be themselves, even if they had to be the ones to change it for them. They were also convinced they might just be the only ones who would be able to actually do it. They understood they would be virtually breaking any kind of standard set by the Halliwell bloodline, but also knew their ways had become insufficient.

"How can we be absolutely sure it's the right thing to do?" Wyatt asked, to himself and her alike, his eyes still firmly on the ceiling.

"Right for whom?" Sam completed their thought.

In their minds, it had finally come down to that one choice: the world… or their children. Would their children need to adapt to a world that would force them to become the worst version of themselves? Or would the world have to adjust so everybody, specially them, could have an equal chance to be themselves?

"I'll follow you… from here to eternity…" Wyatt caressed her face lovingly. "and…" she looked up at him. "I don't think I could ever not choose you or our children… no matter the cost… no matter if it isn't the right to do" he sighed.

"We'll always be the bad guys in someone's story. No matter what we choose" he caressed her hair gently. "Maybe it's time for a game change. A fresh perspective"

"Can't be called evil for the right reasons, right?" she held him tighter.

"I guess we'll find out"

Next day, while cleaning after breakfast time, Wyatt and Sam kept staring at their children between tasks. Both felt, with every glance, they were worth everything and anything. Even the world itself from where they stood. What chance did the world have anyway, if they became the darkest versions of themselves? As they washed their hands clean, hanging the last kitchen towel, they called upon Vizkaroth.

"How can I be of service, my liege?" he said with a smile on his face, appearing before them without the need for his name to be called twice; pleased beyond words it had taken them less a day to call him back. They were right where he needed them to be. Wyatt turned to Sam one last time before addressing him and held his hand out to her. She looked deep into his eyes as she placed her hand in his without hesitation. A painful smile between them, fleeting, like a ghostly reminder of everything they would leave behind and what the cost may be for a brighter future.

"Do it" Wyatt gave the order, looking straight at Vizkaroth, standing somehow taller than usual, firmly holding his wife's hand in his.

"Bring back the Nexus" Sam added, feeling her throat tightening as she spoke, just as loud and firm, not because it needed to be any clearer, but because she wanted her beloved to hear she was right behind him every step of the way.

"Very well. I'll get started and shall let you know what I need to do in order to…"

"No" Sam cut him off.

"We better not know the details until it's done" Wyatt completed their thought.

"Very well" Viz tried hard to conceal his smile. "I shall let you know when the time is ready for the taking then"

"You will stay away from our family, is that clear?" Wyatt spoke in the same ominous voice.

"Of course"

"No member of our bloodline must come to harm, is that understood?"

"Yes, my queen"

"If you dare double cross us, you and your kind will wish we never existed"

"I understand, but I assure you my allegiance is completely and unquestionably to you and to you alone, powerful ones. You may dispose of any of my kind as you see fit. My devotion isn't to them" Wyatt and Sam remained expressionless. They understood the stakes were high, as well as the fact that a demon, any demon, was not to be trusted in full, even when there was something in it for them, like Viz claimed there was. "May I ask something, if I'm not being too bold?" he said after a minute.

"Go ahead"

"Last time we met, we were far from your children. I couldn't fail to notice that. Now, they're standing right behind me, what changed?" Viz wanted to believe for a moment this was purely an act of trust, just the thought of it made him stand there in delight, but he had to confess to himself that it would be a tad disappointing. It couldn't be just that, not from such wonderfully powerful beings.

"If we're going to do this, if we're setting a new order in our worlds, we need to be able to trust each other… to some extent" Wyatt wanted to be perfectly clear about it. "But mainly, we need you to see who's in charge, remind you why you came to us… we could dispose of you easily at any moment, if we feel at any point that your proposal doesn't suit our needs any longer…"

"Or if you so much as look at our children the wrong way, is that clear?"

"Absolutely" Viz bowed yet again, feeling himself proud of him work, of them and yet… exposed all of a sudden, which was strangely exhilarating. Wyatt had successfully managed to intimidate him and to be perfectly honest, it did nothing but motivate him to carry on with his plan. They were turning more and more perfect by the minute.

"Even now, our children themselves could take you out all on their own if we let them. They might not be the most powerful beings in the room, but they are not to be underestimated" Sam added proudly.

"I'm aware of that" Viz couldn't help eyeing the younglings from the corner of his eye after her comment, forcing a much more pleasant smile at the queen.

"You asked us if we were ready for the next step. Are you?" Wyatt threatened him once again, making Viz feel in actual danger while in their presence for the very first time. They would never know, but he himself dreaded he would become no longer useful at some point, however prepared he was to die for the cause if need be. He thought of them as magnificent creatures worthy of the upmost respect. He bowed to them and their children before shimmering away.

It was done. Things were set into motion. The time for them to become what they were always meant to be was upon them. They tightened their grip, not letting go of each other, staring at their children, bracing themselves for whatever needed to be done now.

After their last peek into the future, the sisters were having meetings almost daily trying to figure out what to do to avoid that horrible future already set in motion.

"First of all, no casting spells without letting each other know. We don't want to cast one on top of the other unintentionally" was clarified in one of them.

"Agreed" said Phoebe, Paige and Chris. Only them, Piper and Leo were at these meetings. They thought unwise to let the whole clan know what Wyatt and Sam would become, if they didn't find an answer, soon. They wouldn't want some desperate behavior to try and stop them causing irreparable damage of any kind to them or their family. Coop was allowed to participate but didn't know how much help he could be, so he stayed home for most of these and let Phoebe fill him in. Paige decided not to give Henry any more motives to go after Wyatt and Sam, since he was already convinced, they had something to do with Theo's sudden disappearance, so he was left out completely. She thought Piper didn't need him trying to put her son in jail as they tried so desperately to save him from himself yet again. She knew this would definitely put some strain in her relationship, but he wouldn't do that to Piper, not if she could help it.

"I could go back to movie nights at their place just to keep an eye on them" suggested Chris.

"You need to apologize first for throwing a potion at them. You have been putting it off and I don't think that's just gonna go away, honey" Piper told her son.

"She's right. You definitely should cause we do wanna stay on their good side as much as possible" added Phoebe perusing through the Book of Shadows.

"Maybe you should go with him. Patch things up" Piper stared at her younger sister.

"She'll do it" said Phoebe a moment later without even looking at her. "The guilt will eat you alive, if you don't… ugh and you'll drive me crazy all at the same time" she added rubbing her temples and chest, trying to shake feelings that weren't hers right off, mouthing as if she couldn't swallow something going down her throat.

"We do need someone monitoring the Underworld" Piper wrote down. "Would Bianca manage to do that for us?"

"I don't know, mom. She doesn't even know about this" said Chris sulking he couldn't include Bianca. "Besides, I don't wanna be the one to send her down there in the first place… she's…" the sisters stared, hanging to his every word. "She's trying to keep her hands clean"

"I see. Well, be that as it may. We could use her help" Chris gulped at her mother's pleading eyes.

"We could start interrogating a few demons too, see if there's any prospect for leadership any time soon" suggested Phoebe back on the book, letting Chris to his concern for his beloved.

"OK. We'll start doing that right away. We'll need some potion restocking before we get on that" Piper made another note. "Maybe you should drop by Brightest Blessings and get some stuff"

"Good idea. They've been spending more and more time there lately" Paige agreed.

"You two have to go apologize like today, missy" Piper reprimanded both her and Chris, handing him the piece of paper.

"I know…" was Chris' response. As much as he had deemed it necessary to try and stun his brother, he still felt terrible about having to confront him at all.
