"What does he mean by that, Sam?" Edward asked his sister.

"Aren't you supposed to be all enlightened?" she mocked him.

"What? Cause I'm dead I know all the secrets of the universe now?"

"Don't you?"

"Doesn't work that way. You should know that by now" Wyatt and his wife exchanged looks and then he nodded, giving her the green light.

"We might be taking the less traveled road to make sure our kids are safe"

"Meaning…"

"Meaning the family won't agree with our choices at first, but in time…"

"They'll come to see there was no better option for everybody… magical and non"

"What? Now you're king of the world? That it?" Edward disapproved.

"No, but I was meant to have a greater part in the grand design. We're simply stepping up"

"But then…"

"But then if we had done something earlier, you yourself might not have died the way you did" Sam's heart sank as she dwelled in the memory of her brother being killed by whom, now they knew, had been her daughter.

"You don't know that. There's no way we could have known what Meghan…"

"By creating a different world for them to grow in. One where they won't feel like they need to become what they did in order to survive"

"A dictatorship. Sounds like fun. Glad I won't be around for it though" Wyatt and Sam stared at Danny. They hated the fact he wasn't that far from the truth. In order to make such a big shift in the normal order, they would have to take the rein of things first.

"Sam, Wyatt, I know you fear for them… I do… but whatever it is you're getting yourselves into does not seem to be the right thing to do at all"

"We're open to suggestions" there was silence after her words. "Anything?" Edward stared.

"How about raising them best you can, love them no matter what comes"

"We do every single day" Wyatt spoke from the heart.

"And still I had to stab my child!" Sam shouted, things around them started to freeze as her anger kept rising.

"I like this. Why weren't you this cool when we were dating?" Danny touched the icy kitchen counter and rubbed the tips of his fingers together unable to feel the cold. "We could have had so much fun"

"I very much doubt that" Wyatt came to her rescue.

"Relax. You got to marry the mighty version of the pathetic mess I was with" he instinctively tried bursting him to pieces but one of the stools took the hit and shattered into oblivion.

"Ignore him" Sam told him through gritted teeth.

"I still don't understand why would they summon you… either of you" said Wyatt his own temper rising.

"Clearly, they thought somebody needed to get through to you" her brother snapped back.

"We're doing fine, thank you" Sam snapped right back at him.

"Clearly not" Edward said, tracing the shards of wood scattered all over the parlor. "Why would we have been allowed to be here at all if they thought you were?" Silence again.

"You do understand there's nothing Sam… or myself wouldn't do to bring you back?"

"Yes, but that cannot be done"

"Right. But saving our children from ever becoming the very reason the world descends into chaos can" Sam told him flatly.

"Whoever summoned us…" Edward started again.

"Let's just stop pretending we don't know who it was" said Wyatt firmly.

"Alright. They're only trying to stop you from doing the wrong thing"

"So, doing the wrong thing is only allowed when it conveniences them?" Sam asked rhetorically. How dare they bring her brother back to haunt her like this? To dismiss everything they were trying to do for their children, for them all, like nothing?

"They've saved me more times that I can even count, not always doing what was right, not always acting for the greater good, but bending the world over backwards when it needed to be done" Wyatt retold his story.

"We're simply doing the same for our children. Can they really expect any less?" Sam's words complemented his thoughts perfectly as ever. He held her hand tight in his own.

"Yes, they might have done the wrong thing for the right reasons too at one point or another, but that doesn't give you a free pass to do the same and claim they did it first" Edward pleaded her sister's good heart wasn't completely lost over fear of losing her children. "Whatever you're planning to…"

"Whatever it takes!" Wyatt slammed his fist on the counter, things started to be pushed away from them. Julian finally picked up something was wrong and he immediately shielded himself and his siblings.

"Take it easy" said Edward as the cupboards creaked as they were being pushed away from their fixed spot.

"Yeah, it's not like your own family is trying to get in your way" added Danny, betting the cupboard wouldn't stay attached to the wall for more than a minute longer or that the unit itself was going to implode somehow. He couldn't decide which one would be more fun to watch.

"Shut up!" Edward eyed the creaking, trembling wood panels.

"I mean, pretty soon you'll have to choose who will be spared… them or your little rascals" he kept twisting the knife for his own personal enjoyment.

"Shut up, you snake. Don't listen to him" Danny chuckled as anger overtook Wyatt and Sam, electrical charges starting to grow all around them, having lost any kind of grip on themselves.

"Whoa, what's going on?" asked Chris as he orbed in, a rogue bolt shot his way hitting the top of his shoulder, grazing him. He yelped in pain and Julian pulled him into his shield, where he healed him. Seeing his eldest boy react, made the couple snap out of it.

"We're so sorry, Chris" Sam went to help him up, closely followed by Wyatt who picked Julian up.

"Good job, little man" he kissed his son.

"I was coming to… that Ed?" they nodded, as Edward waved awkwardly. "You" he said spotting Danny. "What the…?"

"Wouldn't we wanna know" said Sam hugging Wyatt.

"OK. One thing at a time" said Chris walking closer to where they had stood a moment ago. "What's with the warm welcome?"

"We got a little carried away, that's all" Wyatt said as he put Julian back down with his siblings.

"A little? Had your aim been any better I'd be dead… No offense" he told Edward.

"Non-taken"

"Discussion got a little heated. We apologize" Wyatt was being honest. They had no idea how their powers got out of control so easily, so fast.

"O…k… which brings me to…" he made a hand gesture towards the spirit guests.

"Why don't you ask, mom? Clearly, she thought it was a good idea to call them" Chris imagined he already knew the answer to that, so he tried to stay on their good side.

"But why him? No offense" he told Danny in turn.

"Totally taken" grunted Danny, arms crossed.

"We don't know, but the result was pretty much what you walked into" his brother's wife elaborated.

"Someone managed to push all the right buttons" Wyatt excused himself, blaming it on the unwanted guest.

"Guilty" Danny said mockingly putting his hands up.

"OK…listen. Imma try and talk like nothing weird's going on… no offense" Edward smiled. "Since we… haven't been hanging out as much… for whatever reason" he explained before they could allow themselves to get upset over not seeing eye to eye lately. "Bianca and I thought it would be nice to go out for lunch"

"Lunch?" sounded so otherworldly at the moment. It just might be a good idea.

"Yeah, you know. Go out, eat" Wyatt and Sam were actually considering it. They couldn't remember the last time they had gotten together like they used to and just be. "Bianca said she could take care of the kids. I asked mom, but she said she might be busy… now I know on what… dad's in magic school"

"I thought the Bianca person was going to lunch with you" Danny meddled.

"My cousin, not my girlfriend" Chris automatically started explaining. It hadn't been the first time he had to. "Seriously though, dead or alive, just… don't… talk to me"

"Excuse me" he mocked him.

"Anyway, since you've got… whatever this is going on… I guess we'll try again some other time"

"Who said we weren't interested?" Sam said to Wyatt's agreement. "By the looks of it, the family will just keep throwing spells at us, so might as well get on with our lives"

"Seriously? You do realize you might have some tag-alongs with you, right? I mean… for whatever reason they were conjured they won't go away till they've done what they came here to do" Chris eyed Sam's ex again. "Whatever that was"

"The more the merrier" Sam said determined to have a break from reality, rain or shine.

"I still think we need to talk" Edward appealed to their common sense.

"And I think we're done talking" Sam cut her brother off.

"By the looks of it, I have to agree with you guys" Chris saw some of the ice created by Sam still melting down and the randomly pushed items and furniture around, by the time he caught a glimpse of wooden shards he knew for sure there wouldn't be any more talking done for the time being.

"Kids are ready, babe" said Sam after wiping one last little nose clean a couple hours after their little mishap.

"I'll orb them to Bianca's. Be right back" Wyatt kissed Sam's cheek pressing the side of his head against hers, whispering in her ear. "Are you gonna be alright?" Sam's eyes shot in the spirit guests' direction.

"Yes, don't worry. Just hurry back. Chris'll meet us there at two" he orbed out with the kids.

"You're really going to lunch while we're here?" said Edward displeased.

"Why not? Trying to go about our lives seems like the wiser choice" Danny rolled his eyes, but didn't say a word. Apparently, Sam putting some herbs in a jar and Wyatt starting to chant a spell to put him in there too, effectively shut him up for the time being.

"So you'll just ignore the fact this is happening for a reason"

"Yeah, I am" she said just as casually, further annoying her brother.

Wyatt came back a moment later.

"Ready to go?"

"Yep" she grabbed her bag, still every bit as decided to ignore they had two spirit carry-ons on them. Next thing, they were orbing close to a little place near the park, among the trees.

"You're not even driving now?" asked Edward disapproving.

"Wish we didn't have to hide anymore" said Sam brushing some leaves off her clothes, ignoring her brother.

"I promise soon we won't have to" he kissed her before leading her to the flowery arch that was the doorway to an al fresco type of restaurant, dragging a very concerned Edward and a couldn't-care-less Danny behind them. He saw Chris waving from a table at the far end of the place and headed over. Bianca sitting by his side.

"Remember what we talked about. If you want them to open up to you, you need to not be defensive"

"A little hard to do when you know they'll eventually destroy the world and to top it off are dragging two spirits along with them here today because my mother is also trying to stop them from bringing chaos onto the world, Hi!" he welcomed them with the last bit of breath he had after his rant as they reached the table.

"Glad you could make it" Bianca said in a much more casual salutation.

"We'd been cooped up at home for so long, we jumped on the opportunity for getting out of there for a while" Sam explained while Wyatt pulled out a chair for her, opposite Bianca's, sitting next to her. Afterwards, an uncomfortable silence followed as Bianca eyed the spirits that stood not far behind the couple. "Right" Sam laughed. "Almost forgot"

"That you're trying to ignore me doesn't mean you forgot"

"Shut up. This is my late brother, Edward"

"Nice to meet you?" Bianca said hesitantly. Edward waved awkwardly yet again.

"Ahem…" Danny refused to be ignored.

"You be quiet" Wyatt threatened him, smiling at the couple at the next table.

'I'm her dead ex-boyfriend" Danny introduced himself. "He killed me, but let's not make this meal about me"

"You what?" Chris asked his brother, hoping it was just another cruel joke from the unwelcome spirit, but also knowing it most likely wasn't.
