A FEW DAYS LATER, AT AUNT CAROL'S HOUSE…

The ill-intentioned party shimmered near the shade of a tree which worked as the perfect cover from the moonlight, making them almost invisible in plain sight; Vizkaroth in the lead, a Kracht demon, one of the cause's eager demonic participants and, annoyingly close, Teresa, who wouldn't stay behind no matter what Vizkaroth had told her. In the end, he had no choice but to keep her close and see she didn't get herself in the way of his plans or accidentally killed before she served his purposes.

Up in the house, not too far from where the evil doers patiently waited, there was poor Lucas, who had gone through enough in his life and had been living in pure bliss for the last few weeks. He shared a room with one of his foster brothers, Pete, who lied in bed at an odd angle, one leg up the wall, the other on his pillow, while his head hung just a little beyond the edge of the bed.

Lucas…Lucas wake up… we got work to do…

Lucas woke with a start having heard those words one too many times before. At first, he had a hard time figuring out if it had been actual words or just his memories coming yet again to torment him. A moment later though, he got the unpleasant confirmation. The Kracht demon and his ghastly friend shimmered in a moment later. Lucas gulped and started breathing heavily.

"What do you want?"

"We need your help, boy" said the Kracht demon.

"I won't help you anymore… I'll… I'll call my mother" he said bravely, still not louder than a whisper.

"You do that. It would be a shame though... that she ended up like the last one" there was a delighted smile after those words as Lucas' resurfaced immediately.

"You need to come with us"

"Alright, just don't hurt them"

"Him too" the Kracht demon nodded in Pete's direction.

"No. Leave him alone. I said I'll go with you"

"Maybe we could take care of him right now" the other demon edged the ritual athame very close to the boy's ear.

"Ok, ok" Lucas panicked and walked towards his brother. "Pete, Pete, wake up" he shook him till he came around.

"What is it, Lu…?" Lucas covered his mouth before he could make out the situation in the room.

"It's gonna be alright, but you have to trust me" Lucas gulped hard, feeling he'd swallowed a rock. His brother, still confused, finally turned around and saw the unwanted party.

"Lucas, we should call mom"

"Wait. If I do what they ask me, they'll leave us alone. They always do"

"That's a good boy" said the Kracht demon delighted.

"Let's go" They shimmered to the yard, back to the patch where the moonlight couldn't get through.

"Evening, Lucas" said Vizkaroth. He nodded nervously. Pete eyeing everyone around him and throwing glances back at the house. "You're doing very well for yourself. I wonder… how much would you be willing to do to keep them safe"

"Please, not again" he pleaded.

"We won't do anything we don't have to, but… just to show you how serious we are…" he eyed the demon with the athame, who stabbed Pete in the back, covering his mouth muffling his screams. As he fell to the ground, Lucas dropped on his knees by his side. The Kracht demon tried to pull him back up unceremoniously but Lucas used his power and his hand went right through him.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry…" he kept telling his foster brother.

"Tsk tsk tsk. It'd be a shame if you lost your mother again too. I don't think I could bare it" he mocked him, bringing evil grins all around; particularly Teresa who savored how her sister would be devastated about losing two of her children in a single night, convinced that after having made use of Lucas he would be as good as dead as well.

"Please, leave them alone" Lucas pleaded in tears now.

"Very well. If you do as you're told, we shall leave the rest of them unharmed. You got my word" he offered his hand for a shake, which Lucas took, bitterly so, and was helped to get back up.

"What do you need me to do?" his tears still flowing down his cheeks.

AT P3…

"Make sure to mark down the stock we're using from the back on the list, so we can order enough on the next restock" Sam was telling P3's manager, Cody.

"You got it, babe" he said looking at the clipboard.

"Having fun?" Wyatt caught up with her, bringing her drink. "Cody" he said going for a handshake.

"How you doing Wyatt?" he asked in a melodious voice, unnecessarily straightening any rogue hairs off his excited little head.

"I would be doing a lot better if my wife didn't have to work tonight"

"Gotcha" he took the clipboard from her with two fingers. "Sorry, baby girl. Doctor's orders" he winked, waved and walked away with a smile.

"It's going well, right?"

"The place is packed. People keep coming in. I would say is going more than well" he smiled and kissed her.

"I sure hope so, cause the Foundation is coming to collect after we close. Hope it's worth their while"

"You're amazing for doing this amongst everything we got going on in our lives" he placed his hands on her hips. "It was a great idea"

"What can I say, I'm biased" she shook her diabetic bracelet in front of her. Her smile faded nervously as she saw Piper, Phoebe and Paige along with their respective husbands walking down the entrance. Wyatt turned around at once and his own smile faded just as fast. Before they were seated, the party walked up to the bar where they sat.

"This is great. Congratulations" said Piper going for a hug. Smiles filled the moment, some harder to hold than others, but still all there.

"Thank you" as they parted, the uncomfortable silence grew in the midst of loud music.

"What Foundation is it again?" Phoebe said in an attempt to break it.

"Sheltering arms. They provide medical care for those who can't afford it"

"Wow, how did you get in touch?" asked Paige hoping the casual conversation would keep cutting though their issues.

"They helped me a bunch of times, when I was living on the streets"

"Great that you decided to give back" smiled Phoebe.

"It's the least I can do" there was that unbreakable silence again as everybody kept trying to ignore the elephant in the room.

"Well, we'll go to our table" said Piper a little saddened by the fact they had to stay clear of them, if any of them were going to enjoy the night at all.

"Have fun" said Wyatt with a sincere smile to his family, holding on to Sam.

"I'll tell Cody to come and say hi, in case you wanna ask him anything. After all…" Sam turned to Wyatt as she paused.

"We own this place together" Piper almost broke down and cried.

"Thank you" were her only words as they walked away. "You're still there. I'll get whoever's trying to get you, I promise" was on her mind though, as she tried not to look back, grabbing Leo's hand on her shoulder in search of strength.

"You alright?" Sam asked as Wyatt's eyes were still on his mother.

"Yeah, I'm fine" he tried to smile, but failed. Sam held on to him tight, pressing her head to his. Both longing things were back to their usual family bliss. Wyatt missed his mother so very much and Sam couldn't help but wish he didn't have to feel like he didn't have a family, however temporarily, like she did all her life before she met him. She knew that emptiness all too well and by no means wished her beloved had to feel it even for a second.

Once the dagger had successfully collected all the soul's it needed, they were ready to make the first move for the creation of the new world. Vizkaroth sent the demonic party, including Lucas, to the Underworld, while he himself shimmered to P3 in search of Wyatt and his queen. He stood near the storage room Wyatt and Sam were so familiar with and began calling them.

Your majesties… let your eyes find me…

They turned in his direction like clockwork, thinking their eyes had just coincidentally found him, and walked up to him, going into the storage room which had been locked a second before. "What is it? Are we ready?"

"We are, but… I'm afraid we have a situation that must be dealt with, my liege" Viz lied through his teeth.

"Speak up" Sam said impatiently. "Is it our kids?" she rummaged inside her purse ready to call cousin Bianca.

"No, my queen. They're safe as promised. I've made sure any demonic activity stays well away from them"

"Speak up then" she added impatiently.

"Your mother has kidnapped one of your innocents in an attempt to stop you from getting to the Nexus"

"How did she know about our plans to begin with?" asked Wyatt.

"I do not know. My guess is she followed my steps in preparing for it. I underestimated her knowledge on ancient rituals. Coming from such a powerful lineage I should have been prepared better to cover my tracks from her, knowing she was the only one from the line in the Underworld. My apologies. I have failed you" he vowed as if ashamed of himself, with no trace of shame in his body however.

"It's alright. We'll deal with her. Take us there" he shimmered pleased beyond reason, closely followed by an orbing Wyatt and Sam.

"Took you long enough" said Teresa as they orbed before her. Viz was nowhere to be seen, but once they laid eyes on the hostage, they didn't care much about him.

"Lucas" said Sam. "Get away from him, you bitch"

"Now, now, that's no way to talk to your mother, is it?" she had a firm grip on Lucas' shoulder. He looked utterly terrified. They both knew her stinger could easily infect him and there would be nothing the could do to fix it is she did.

"Everything's gonna be alright. We'll take care of her" she said in a firm voice nonetheless.

"Will you now?" Teresa smiled evilly.

"You better believe it" Wyatt remained silent, deciding it was Sam who needed to call the shots during this particular battle.

"I have to admit. I'm having the hardest time trying to figure you out, girl"

"Glad to never be what you expected"

"Au contraire. First, you said you didn't want anything to do with power and for a moment I have to say you had me going" she laughed and then clapped. "Bravo, but… now I can see that thirst for it. The very thirst that runs deep into our bloodline. You can't deny it any longer, feels good to be this powerful, isn't it?"

"Whatever I'm doing, I'm doing for my children. I don't expect you to understand any of my reasons, considering we were nothing but a nuisance to you"

"I won't deny you and your brother were quite an inconvenience in my plans and when you received the powers I was denied, you became the enemy" she stared at her daughter with nothing but hatred in her eyes and heart. "But I'll be damned, if I let you steal away what should have been mine once again. I couldn't care less about your reasons however noble you fool yourself into believing they are"

"Back down, Teresa. Walk away and we might just spare you" Sam had bitter tears in her eyes.

"You're just as pathetic as your brother was. But then, rumor has it, that your own daughter took care of that little nuisance for me, didn't she?" she laughed. "I wonder if you realize you got no better chance to save her than you had saving him" she had finally said too much and set them off. They held hands as they prepared to attack; his shield growing all around them as water coursed through Sam's arm and an energy ball formed in Wyatt's palm. The walls closer to them started to crack and the cold wind coming from Sam pushed away heavier and heavier stones every minute.

"Last warning" he finally said.

"Alright…" Teresa put her hands up, flinching as the ground beneath her started to crack. "Why don't we all just… calm down for a second?"

"Let Lucas go" said Sam not backing down one bit.

"OK. Don't do anything you'll regret" she let Lucas run to their side. "Maybe… it's not the worst idea to… call it a day…" she eyed them as their display of power slowly died down. His shield still safely in position. A frightened Lucas held on to Wyatt's arm, his eyes on the ground.

"Are you alright?" Sam hurried to his side a moment later.

"They killed my brother Pete. I was so scared they were gonna hurt them all, like they did my mom. I'm so sorry"

"Shhh, shhh, it's OK" Sam hugged him lovingly. "You're safe now"

"But you're not" Teresa's smile was well on as she threw her stinger at Wyatt. He made no attempt to move out of the way, certain the shield would neutralize it, but a moment later, he could feel his insides burning as blood started to soak into his shirt. Lucas let go of his hand as he collapsed. She threw a second stinger, but the shield took care of it.

"What the…?"

"Not her" Lucas cried. "Leave her alone"

"Lucas, what have you done?" Sam cried as she knelt beside Wyatt. The shield flickering in place.

"Get out of here. Not sure how long I can…. keep the shield up"

"I'm taking you home"

"Good luck with that. That stinger will eventually kill him no matter what you do" she reassured her proudly. "Plus, as a party favor, I infused mine with dark lighter venom, which should take care of him in half the time" Sam cried in despair. She wasn't gonna lose him. That was a simple fact.

"Get that thing out of him, now!" she demanded.

"Never. If I can't kill you, I will see you suffer his death"

"Damn you" Sam got back up, facing her mother, starting to chant a spell.

Blood of my blood

I won't bow down to thee

Blood of my blood

You shall no more flee

I claim my birthright

My legacy

Your very existence can no longer be

Vanish in flames

So shall it be! (she shouted)

Teresa burst into flames, screaming in agony until she finally vanished from existence. Sam turned to Wyatt and then to Lucas. Without a word, she aeroported all of them to the manor.
