Moving On
"It's over" He said it...he really did it. 'it'll be better this way' he tells himself and tries to avoid her piercing eyes. She blinks some but doesn't say anything. She wants to ask why, but doesn't, because she knows him just as well as he knows her, and when he says its over, its over. Seeing as she wasn't going to question him, he walks out of the training grounds, out her life. And as he goes that night, he left behind a broken angel that, hopefully, with time. will heal.
He sits in the first row, third seat, eyes never leaving her as she starts her trek towards the altar. Her gaze shifts from guest to guest but never on him. Her strides fluid and graceful, her kimono flowing slightly behind her. He watches as she arrives, smiling at the man before her. He listens as she says those two words 'I Do' that will bind her and the other man forever. He is tempted to stand up and protest when the priest asks if anyone wants to stop the wedding, only the little hand of his son stops him. And as he watches her tip-toe up to kiss the man, he slilently wonders if this was how she felt at his wedding.
And as her lips meet with his and the crowd applauses, he knows that when she needs a needs to cry, it wont be his she's doing it on, and it won't be him she's coming home after every mission to either. But he just keeps telling himself 'it's better this way' and while she has moved on and found another, he lives in the past where all was well and nothing stood between them.
Sometimes it's best to let go, she moved on so maybe, he can too.
Told you it wasn't good...someone want to tell me what i can do to make it better? R&R please
