Chapter 540: Bobbi-Lee's Cottage

Thursday, February 23rd, Evening

Part of her loft office was set up so she could roll out a yoga mat and practice. Since she returned from her extended vacation in the southwest, she has practiced yoga, along with rock climbing trips and mountain biking. The exercise helped her with stress and some life-work balance issues.

She heard the front door open and close. Bobbi-Lee kept at her yoga pose, knowing her niece would come upstairs. Bobbi-Lee also knew that Brett would be hopped up on endorphins from the basketball game. It would be a natural high, but the crash was all too real. It was a good game, and that's why Bobbi-Lee was doing yoga to relax. Especially when Brett realizes and/or comes to terms, she probably played her last home game at Tree Hill High School.

As predicted, Bobbi-Lee heard steps on the stairs coming up to the loft. Bobbi-Lee held her pose as Brett reached the loft. Bobbi-Lee released her pose and looked at her niece as she got into another one.

"I'll be with you in a moment; just have to finish," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Okay," Brett said.

Bobbi-Lee finished and shook out her limbs. She rolled up her mat and tucked it into a corner with careful practice hand. Bobbi-Lee looked at Brett and smiled.

"Since when did you do yoga?" Brett asked.

"Since you were six," Bobbi-Lee said as she patted herself down with a towel.

"I didn't know that," Brett said.

"Oh, Brett Angela, the things you don't know about your Aunt Bobbi would fill volumes," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Oh," Brett said.

"Exactly," Bobbi-Lee said and headed towards her desk chair.

"Did you see me play tonight?" Brett asked.

"Yes, another hard-fought victory," Bobbi-Lee said as she sat at her desk.

"Why did it look so easy for Momma and Auntie Tall?" Brett asked.

Bobbi-Lee shrugged, "I don't know, I'm not a basketball expert, but I would like the way the team is built," she said.

"I guess," Brett said.

"If I remember correctly, you were supposed to have Sawyer Scott come off the bench as a catch and shoot three-point sniper," Bobbi-Lee said.

"That was Poppy Nate's plan when he had Sawyer, me, Baylee, and Avril working out together," Brett said.

"Brett, just remember to be humble, and not everyone has been taught basketball by such people," Bobbi-Lee said.

"I know," Brett said.

"You know, but do you understand?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"I'm not sure what you mean?" Brett asked.

"You've had a virtual rogues gallery of good to outstanding players teach you the game," Bobbi-Lee said.

"I guess," Brett said, found a seat in a chair, and rested her chin on her hands, with her elbows on her thighs.

"Be happy, and remember this is just a waypoint on your journey in life," Bobbi-Lee said and accidentally bumped her computer desk. The computer came to life, and the screens woke up and showed several designs Bobbi-Lee was working on.

Brett picked her head up and looked at the monitors. One of the designs caught her attention.

"Aunt Bobbi," Brett said.

"Yes," Bobbi-Lee said.

"What is that design over your right shoulder?" Brett asked.

Bobbi-Lee turned around and looked at it. She nodded, "It's me working out a design for a Volto Larva," she said.

"A what?" Brett asked.

"It can be called either Volto or Larva. Volto means face, and Larva means ghost. I have a feeling it's going to be a common design," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Why?" Brett asked.

"It's an iconic design and mostly worn by women," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Rather flamboyant," Brett said.

"It can be," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Is that my body model you're using?" Brett asked.

Bobbi-Lee nodded, "Yes, the default one wasn't working out for me; it came alive when I changed it to your body model," she said.

"Oh," Brett said and nodded.

"Yeah," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Well, since it's my body you're using, I should have some input in the design," Brett said.

"Huh?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"My body, my choice," Brett said.

"Okay," Bobbi-Lee said, "I can't argue with that."

Brett leaned forward at the design. "Well, one thing I would change would be the color scheme," she said.

"Okay," Bobbi-Lee said and turned around to face the screen, "What scheme would you use?"

"Black, blue, and white," Brett said.

"The school colors?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"Yes, have to represent," Brett said.

'Okay," Bobbi-Lee said and started to change the colors.

"Keep the dress silver; make the accessories and accents blue and black," Brett said.

"Okay," Bobbi-Lee said and worked on the changes.

"The mask does it have to be gold?" Brett asked.

"It usually is, but I don't know for sure," Bobbi-Lee said.

"But you're not positive?" Brett asked.

"No, I'm not," Bobbi-Lee said.

"So, we could put our twist on things?" Brett asked.

"From my understanding, that's the whole point," Bobbi-Lee said.

"You said this type of mask is called a ghost?" Brett asked.

"Larva, yes, means ghost," Bobbi-Lee said.

"Okay, good, make the gold black," Brett said.

"Black, trying to go for creepy?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

Brett nodded, "Yes, creepy, this whole mask thing is creepy; why not lean into it," she said.

"Good point," Bobbi-Lee said, laughed, and did the changes.

The aunt and niece laughed and had fun working on the design and chatting.
