A/N: Hey guys, I'm probably not going to be able to get Chapter 92 out this week. It's been a busy, hard week for me and I just don't have the energy at the moment. But I hate missing my weekly upload, so here's a small snippet to tide everyone over. I'll try not to make a habit of half-chapters like this, but I thank you for your understanding and patience.
I hope you appreciate my terrible romantic sensibilities and my shitty, meme-y sense of humor.
Chapter 91.5: Bulma vs Vegeta
At Capsule Corp, in Bulma's workshop...
Vegeta and Krillin both stood outside of Bulma's workshop. Krillin looked quite nervous. "S-So how are we going to tell her...?"
Vegeta snapped at Krillin. "Stop it with all that damned hand-wringing! This isn't the first time I've broken the Gravity Chamber, won't be the last time. I can get Bulma to fix it, you just have to know how to speak her language..."
Krillin's shoulders slumped. "I've known her a lot longer than you have, Vegeta. Her language changes with her mood..."
Vegeta gently grabbed the handle, cringing in pain. "Just keep your mouth shut and let me do my thing."
The door opened and the two warriors walked in. On the other side of the room, Bulma looked like she had just woken up. As she sat there, sipping a cup of coffee, Future Bulma worked on Android 16. Wires were stuck into the breach on 16's cranium and attached at the other end to a large, black box. 16's eyes were half-lidded and blank.
Bulma sipped her coffee, but then focused her attention towards her husband. Her glare was so fierce it immediately knocked Krillin off of his feet. Vegeta flinched at the force of Bulma's gaze, but soldiered forward regardless. Bulma spoke in a menacing tone. "Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of fleeing Capsule Corp with your tail between your legs, you're coming right at me? Even though I told you that you would face my wrath if you broke that damned Gravity Chamber yet again?"
Vegeta sneered, steeling his nerve, as he marched forward. "I can't order you to fix it without getting closer!"
Bulma sipped her coffee. "Oh ho! Then come as close as you like."
Vegeta stood over Bulma and the very atmosphere seemed to rumble. She glared up at him, he glared down at her. And then, Vegeta spoke. "Woman. The chamber is broken. Fix it."
Bulma sipped her coffee. "Kiss my ass."
Vegeta recoiled back, as if he had been struck by lightning. His entire body jittered. He spoke through gritted teeth, his voice pained. "D-Damn you..."
Bulma sat there, looking unfettered. Krillin spoke from his spot on the floor. "What now, Vegeta?! Sh-She won't budge..."
Vegeta turned back to Krillin and snapped. "SHUT!"
Krillin immediately quieted down. Vegeta gripped his fists and felt a warm, sticky wetness gathered under the bandages on his palms. "I suppose I'll have to try that method..."
Bulma opened one eye. "Hmm...?"
Vegeta reached into his pocket. Bulma watched him with curiosity. Future Bulma watched him out of the corner of her eye, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of her face. Vegeta glared at his wife. "If you fix the Gravity Chamber..."
Bulma nodded. "Go on."
Vegeta pulled a can out of his pocket, a New South City Cola flavored Hetap. "...I'll give you this new, limited edition Hetap."
Bulma nodded. "I see."
Vegeta looked up. "So, do we have a-"
A wrench came flying and hit Vegeta in the face, knocking him onto his back. Bulma sighed, shaking her wrench-throwing hand and making her wrist pop. "What you don't seem to understand, Vegeta, is that I am quite rich. I got to try that flavor of Hetap months before it came out~"
Vegeta sat up. "NANI?!"
Bulma wickedly smirked. Vegeta shook his head and thought to himself. 'No, no. You're letting her distract you, you fool...'
He sneered. 'Asking her didn't work. Ordering her didn't work. And bribing her didn't work. That means...we only have one strategy left..."
Vegeta stood and wiped the trickle of blood from his busted lip. "...we'll have to appeal to her carnal desires..."
Bulma sat there, a menacing aura radiating off of her. Vegeta walked up to her again. Bulma started to speak, but then Vegeta slammed his hand against the wall behind her. The Prince loomed over his wife, ignoring the pain in his palm to focus directly on her. Bulma was speechless, her face glowing bright red and the hair standing up on the back of her neck. She gripped her coffee cup tight. "Ve-"
Vegeta spoke in a deep, slow voice. "Be quiet."
Bulma's words hitched in her throat. She set her coffee down and gave her full attention to Vegeta. The Prince looked a bit uncomfortable, but he spoke once more. "You will fix the Gravity Chamber. And, once you do, you will receive a reward in private...My Bulma..."
Bulma shuddered, her entire body immediately aching. She bit her lower lip. "O-Oh..."
But then, Bulma immediately snapped back into focus. She shook her head and thought to herself. 'Dammit. You can't let him just push your buttons like that. You have to play hard to get or he'll think he has permission to run rampant...'
Bulma stood. Even after his year in the Time Chamber, she was still a bit taller than Vegeta. The two of them glared at one another and the lights started to flicker. There was fire in both their eyes, fires of anger and of passion. Bulma spoke in her own, low tone. "And just what are you offering me, in private? I'm not going through the trouble of fixing that room you've destroyed for something as bland and flavorless as vanilla...so what flavor are you bringing me?"
Vegeta sneered. "What flavor do you want, woman?"
Bulma glared down at her husband. And then, she raised her hand and snapped her fingers directly at the still floored Krillin. "Krillin. Cover your ears."
Krillin flinched. "Wh-Wha-?"
Bulma glared at him. "Now."
Krillin immediately obeyed, covering his ears so tightly that his eardrums made a popping noise. He watched, shaking with fear, as Vegeta and Bulma began to talk to one another. He couldn't hear what they were saying, and he couldn't read lips like Bardock could, but he watched as the two spoke back and forth.
Bulma raised her hand, putting up two fingers. A sign that she was demanding two things. She quickly spoke the first, pointing directly at Vegeta.
Vegeta flinched, his face burning bright red.
Bulma stood there, looking quite expectant.
Vegeta, with some difficulty, nodded his head in agreement. But he didn't look happy about it.
Bulma smirked. She held up the two fingers again and then, she adopted a sultry smile. Bulma stepped up to Vegeta and traced her finger under his chin, making him look her in the eye. She appeared to whisper something to him and he shuddered. Slowly, Bulma brought her hands behind her back, keeping her mouth right next to Vegeta's ear as she spoke. The scientist's wrists touched behind her back and she smiled.
And then, in a move that made both Vegeta and Future Bulma flinch, Bulma raised up her left hand and smacked herself hard on the rear. She reached up and grabbed one of Vegeta's hands, pulling it behind and placing it on her butt, and then she asked him a question.
The red on Vegeta's face faded and he looked uncomfortable, raising his free hand and motioning uncomfortably to his bandage up palm.
For a moment, the sensual smirk on Bulma's face faded and she looked like she felt bad, seemingly having forgotten about Vegeta's injured hands. But then, in a showing of true love, she gently grabbed her husband's free hand and pressed her lips to his palm. She pulled back and quietly said something to him, winking and smiling.
Vegeta took a deep breath and sighed, and then he nodded. For the first time in the conversation, he said something that Krillin could make out. "Fine. We can do that..."
Bulma said something back and Vegeta nodded. And then, after receiving a quick kiss on the lips from his wife, Vegeta turned and marched over to Krillin. He grabbed Krillin by the collar of his shirt and hauled him off the ground. Krillin seemed very confused. "What's going on?! What happened?!"
Vegeta snapped back. "Shut up! We're going to the Time Chamber while Bulma fixes the Gravity Chamber!"
As Krillin was dragged away, he looked back to Bulma and saw her sitting with a happy, loving smile on her face. She went back to drinking her coffee and looked utterly serene. And then, he looked over to Future Bulma and saw that the older woman was redder than a beet, steam rising off of her head.
And then Vegeta and Krillin departed from Capsule Corp without another word.
