Chapter 563: Beaulieu Manor

Tuesday, February 28th, Afternoon

Looking across her desk, she studied the potential client sitting in the chair. That young woman was that, young, very young woman. The woman behind the desk nodded, looking at the younger woman; she couldn't be older than twenty-five, making her two years younger than her son.

Brooke rested her hands on the desk. With a glance, Brooke then turned back to the young woman.

"Welcome to the House of Davis, Anwen," Brooke said.

"Thank you, Ms. Davis, please call me Anya; only my mother calls me Anwen, and only when she yells for me," Anwen "Anya," Wolfle said.

"Okay, Anya, so I was told you requested this meeting," Brooke said.

"Yes, I did; I'd like to wear one of your designs to the Met Gala," Anya said.

Brooke nodded, "Why me? I've looked you up and noticed you could have anyone," she said.

"But I want a Brooke Davis design," Anya said.

"You want me to design you an outfit?" Brooke asked.

"I've always liked your clothes and would shop at your stores. When I saw you were on the lists of co-chairs, and your company was sponsoring the event, I had to see if you'll do my outfit," Anya said.

Brooke nodded, "Well, how would you like a tour of the facilities?" Brooke asked.

"I'm staying at the bed and breakfast," Anya said.

"That's one thing, but this is another," Brooke said.

"Okay, Ms. Davis," Anya said.

Brooke stood up and looked at Anya, "Please follow me," she said.

They went through the office and showed Anya the various positions. After the offices, they went down to the design department. Brooke noticed Anya looking at one of the offices.

"Is that Roberta Leigh Burke's office?" Anya asked.

Brooke nodded, "Yes, she mostly works from home nowadays, but that's her office," she said.

"I was at the Banríon show a few weeks back," Anya said.

"It was a good show," Brooke said.

"It was; who was that model that walked with Ms. Burke at the end?" Anya asked.

"Which one? There were two," Brooke said.

"The blonde," Anya said.

"Oh, that was Ellie," Brooke said.

"You've booked her before," Anya said.

"Yes, several times," Brooke said, pulling out a stack of sketches, "Here are some of the design concepts I've worked on for the gala."

Anya walked over to the table. They went through the various sketches. Anya would ask a question, and Brooke would answer. Once they were done, Brooke put the sketches away.

"None of those seem to fit me and my style," Anya said.

"We can work on something for you," Brooke said.

Anya nodded, "I hope so," she said.

"Let's continue the tour, and we can talk style ideas," Brooke said.

"Let's," Anya said.

After leaving the design area, they headed down to the fitting room. Brooke sighed; Anya was all over her place with ideas, so she centered herself before opening the door to the fitting area. They walked down the hallway and turned the corner.

Brooke looked over at Brett standing, and the seamstress was pulling tight the dress. Over to the side stood Bobbi-Lee Burke looking over her niece and her fitting of Bobbi-Lee's design.

Looking over at Anya, Brooke noticed her eyes were wide. The Colombina looked well on Brett's tall, athletic frame. The colors of the dress offset perfectly with Brett's hair and skin tone. The only thing missing was the mask.

"Whoa! Where have you been hiding this?" Anya asked.

"This one?" Brooke asked.

"Yes, hello beautiful, where have you been my whole life. What mask goes with it?" Anya asked.

Brooke looked at Brett and signaled her to remain calm. "The Colombina, I believe," Brooke said.

"Nice! I can so! see me in it," Anya said, "So, why didn't you show me this upstairs?"

"It's not my design," Brooke said.

"Who's design is it?" Anya asked.

"Roberta Leigh," Brooke said.

"Oh wow!" Anya said.

"Roberta," Brooke said.

Bobbi-Lee looked over and nodded; she put down her papers and walked over. Bobbi-Lee looked over at Anya. Bobbi-Lee was a good head, maybe a head and a half taller than Anya.

"Robert Leigh Burke," Brooke said, "Anya Wolfle."

Brooke glanced over to Brett, who was trying to keep her composure. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Wolfle," Bobbi-Lee said.

"The pleasure is all mine," Anya said, "I saw your show."

"Thanks; I hope you enjoyed it," Bobbi-Lee said.

"I did," Anya said and looked at Brett and the dress, "So, is this dress spoken for?"

Bobbi-Lee shook her head, "No, this one isn't; it's being made to show potential clients," she said.

"I'm impressed; I want it," Anya said, "Just maybe in a different color."

"We can make that happen," Brooke said.

Anya nodded, "I can't wait to see it," she said.

"One moment," Bobbi-Lee said, "Brett."

Brett stepped down and was introduced to Anya. While Brett fangirled over Anya, Bobbi-Lee walked over to Brooke.

"I knew that dress would go far," Brooke said.

"But Brett is like almost a foot taller and more muscular," Bobbi-Lee said.

"That's why we'll scan her and go from there," Brooke said, "Juno."

"Yes, Mrs. Davis?" Juno, one of the women in the room, said.

"Please take Ms. Wolfle o the scan room," Brooke said, "Please, have her scanned."

"Yes, Ms. Davis," Juno said and went to do her boss's will.

Brett was led back onto the platform. Bobbi-Lee sat down and observed the fitting, and Brooke took a seat next to Bobbi-Lee with a tablet. After about ten minus Brooke's fingers started to fly over the screen.

"Did you get the model yet?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"Yes," Brooke said.

"And?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"She's not anywhere near Brett's size," Brooke said.

"Is there any in the database close?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"Let me look," Brooke said, running her fingers over the screen, "Model KVS."

"KVS?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"Keni," Brooke said.

"Keni has a model?" Bobbi-Lee asked.

"Yeah, tested it on her and Sawyer so I could do their bathing suits this year," Brooke said.

"What?" Bobbi-Lee asked a bit surprised.

"According to the search Kendall Stafford has roughly the same measurements," Brooke said.

Bobbi-Lee laughed, "I guess I'm going to be working with Keni," she said.

"I guess so," Brooke said and laughed.

"May God have mercy on my soul," Bobbi-Lee said.
