Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Pokemon Kids! It appears that not many people enjoyed the first chapter, but I promise you that the story will get good. Also, please do not direct your anger at me, as I only edit this story and post it to this website for Noah, so please direct your nasty comments at him. Or better yet, keep them to yourslef. Anyways, let's see what Ash will get into now in chapter 2!

Narrator: Last time, Ash, a little five-year-old boy went to Seafoam Island with his mother, Delia to learn how to swim. Then he met a little girl who was the same age as him named Misty and encountered an angry Cloyster after a huge fight with Gary Oak. Then a talking Pikachu comes along to save the kids and decides to help them to calm down Cloyster. It looks like the battle is just getting started.

Ash: Pikachu, I choose you!

Pikachu: Aw, yeah!

Ash: Cloyster, please calm down! We're trying to help you!

Cloyster didn't seem to be listening.

Pikachu: Yes, I saw that other boy throwing sand at those nice kids and he was the one who threw sand right into your eyes!

Misty: It's true, Cloyster!

Cloyster: Cloyster! (uses Ice Beam)

Seeing that Cloyster wasn't going to listen, Ash had to think fast.

Ash: Cloyster still doesn't believe us in what we're saying, but there's gotta be… I know! Pikachu, use your tail to splash onto Cloyster's eyes to wash the sand off!

Pikachu: You got it!

Pikachu uses his tail to propel the water right onto Cloyster's eyes to wash off the sand.

Misty: Did it work?

Cloyster: Cloy? (gaining its sight back) Cloyster! (hops happily)

Ash: Alright! It worked!

Misty: Yippy! I'm so glad that Cloyster's okay!

Pikachu: Phew! That was close!

Just then, the two kids heard their mothers calling them.

Misty: That's my mommy.

Ash: Mine too.

Delia: Ash!

Cascade: Misty!

Delia and Cascade ran over to their kids to see if they were okay.

Cascade: (to Misty) Baby, are you okay?

Misty: Yes, I'm okay.

Ash: I'm fine, too, Mom.

Delia: Phew, that's a relief. What happened?

Ash: It was Gary. He was throwing sand at us and was about to do it again but we dodged it and the sand hit Cloyster's eyes.

Cascade: Is that so? (walks over to Cloyster) Cloyster? Are you okay now?

Cloyster: (nods in agreement) Cloy!

Cascade: (smiles) Well, I'm glad to hear it. (rubs Cloyster's shell)

Delia: (to Ash) Where's Gary now? I'd like a few words with that boy.

Ash: He's with the Professor and Daisy right now.

Cascade: Daisy? I have a daughter named Daisy.

Delia: Well, the Daisy Ash is referring to is Professor Oak's granddaughter. And she's my boy's babysitter.

Cascade: (giggles) Well, that makes a difference.

Ash and Misty started to laugh.

Delia: Ash, we'll be right back. Cascade and I are going to have a stern conversation with Gary.

Ash: Okay, Mom.

When the two mothers left the kids, Pikachu heard the little boy's name that Jesus told him about last night.

Pikachu: Your name is Ash? As in Ash Ketchum?

Ash: (to Pikachu) Yes, how did you know my name?

Pikachu: Phew! Finally, I found you.

Ash: (confused) Found me? For what?

Pikachu: It's, uh, kind of a long story.

So Pikachu told the kids about his encounter with Jesus and his journey. Ash was amazed by this, and so was Misty.

Ash: Did you say the name Jesus?

Pikachu: (nods) Sure did.

Misty: Who's Jesus?

Ash: You don't know about Jesus?

Misty: No, I guess not. Should I?

Ash: Well, Jesus is the Son of God who saves people from their sins.

Misty: Really?

Ash: Really.

Pikachu: And it's because of him that I can talk like you.

Ash: Really, Pikachu? Did Jesus make you be able to speak like a human?

Pikachu: Sure did. He just performed a miracle on me.

Ash: Wow!

Misty: Incredible.

Ash: And He really sent you to find me? But why?

Pikachu: (grins) Because He wanted me to share the Good News of His Heavenly Father's Word. Also, He wanted me to sing praises to Him.

Ash: No kiddin'.

Misty: Jesus sure is one great teacher. He is such a great man.

Ash: I thought you said you didn't know Jesus.

Misty: (smiles) But I do now! Thanks for telling me.

Just then, Delia and Cascade came back to the kids and Pikachu.

Ash: Hey, Mom.

Misty: Guess what we talked about, Mommy.

Cascade: What, dear?

Misty: Ash and Pikachu told me all about Jesus.

Cascade: Jesus? As in Jesus Christ?

Misty: Yes, and thanks to those two, I now believe in God's Son.

Cascade smiled and hugged her youngest daughter.

Delia: (to Ash) Ash, honey, I also see that you've made friends with a Pikachu.

Ash: Well, he's no ordinary Pikachu, Mom.

Pikachu: He's right, Mrs. Ketchum.

Delia gasped in surprise. And so did Cascade.

Delia: D-D-Did that P-Pikachu just talk?

Cascade: I-I can't believe it!

Pikachu: What? You never heard a Pokémon talk before?

Delia: No, I'm afraid not.

Cascade: How did you start talking in the first place?

Pikachu: Jesus blessed me by performing a miracle on me. That's how I was able to talk.

Delia: My goodness.

Cascade: What an interesting story.

Pikachu: Well, it's true, ma'am.

Cascade: (smiles) Anyway, thanks for saving our children.

Pikachu: My pleasure. (to Ash) I'm glad I found you, Ash. I think we're going to be great friends from now on.

Ash smiled at the mouse Pokémon.

Ash: Really, Pikachu? (to Delia) Mom, can I keep Pikachu, please?

Pikachu: (joins in) Please? I'll take good care of your son.

Delia looked at both her little boy and at the mouse Pokémon.

Delia: Hmm… (smiles) Alright, Ash, you can keep Pikachu. (to Pikachu) Pikachu, I'm sure you and Ash are going to get along just fine.

Ash and Pikachu: Yes! Thank you!

Delia: But, we should make it official, first. By catching you in a Poké Ball.

Pikachu: Catch me?

Cascade: Well, yes. That's what most Trainers do.

Pikachu: I don't know if I can. Getting inside a Poké Ball makes me uncomfortable.

Ash quickly thought of an idea.

Ash: Say, Mom, why don't we catch Pikachu in a Poké Ball, and when he's officially caught, we let him out afterward? I mean, you prefer keeping Mimey outside his Poké Ball at home, don't you?

Delia: Well, Ash, you do have a point there. Does that sound okay with you, Pikachu?

Pikachu thought about it for a moment.

Pikachu: Well… Okay, I'll give it a try.

Delia: Oh good. I happen to have a spare Poké Ball in my bag. And Ash, once we do this, I'll hand Pikachu's Poké Ball over to you. You may not be old enough to be a Trainer now, but you can still care for him until you turn 10. Is that okay, honey?

Ash: Oh yes, please, Mom.

Delia smiled as she led her boy and his new Pokémon friend out of the water, with Cascade and Misty following close behind. Then with Ash holding the Poké Ball and Pikachu standing close to him, they were ready.

Ash: Ready, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Ready, Ash!

Ash: Okay. Poké Ball, go! (throws it)

The Poké Ball touched Pikachu, and he went inside in a beam of red light. Then the Poké Ball closed uptight and started wobbling. After a moment, it let out a ding, signifying that Pikachu had been caught.

Ash: (gasps with excitement) Yes! I did it! (picks up the Poké Ball) Okay, c'mon out, Pikachu!

Ash then opened Pikachu's Poké Ball, allowing the mouse Pokémon to come out.

Pikachu: (shakes his body) Whoa, that was wild! I kind of like it a little. Alright, I'll get inside the Poké Ball on one condition.

Ash: What's that?

Pikachu: You have to save me from danger if anything goes wrong.

Ash: (pause) I guess that's reasonable. Okay, it's a deal!

Delia smiled as it seemed Ash had his Pokémon partner. Just like she did with Mimey.

Delia: Ash, since you did a good job calming Cloyster down, how about we go for some ice cream as a reward?

Ash: (gasps with joy) Ice cream?! Yes please, Mom!

Pikachu: That sounds yummy!

Cascade: I'll get some for both of us too, Misty.

Misty: (squeals excitedly) Oh boy, I love ice cream!

Both mothers giggled at the enthusiasm of their respective children.

Delia: Alrighty, let's go get some to cool ourselves down.

The mothers, their kids, and Pikachu then went to the ice cream stand to get some ice cream.

Delia: I think I'll get some strawberry-flavored ice cream. What flavor would you like, Ash?

Ash: I want some chocolate ice cream, please. Pikachu, what kind of flavor do you want?

Pikachu: I want red apple ice cream. I do love apples.

Delia: That sounds fair.

Cascade: Now it's our turn. I'll have blueberry ice cream. Misty, what ice cream flavor would you want?

Misty: Pistachio, please. (smiles)

Cascade smiled at her youngest daughter as their ice cream was getting ready. As the ice cream was almost done, Misty spotted something.

Misty: Mommy, look!

Cascade: What is it, sweetie?

Misty: It's a Horsea!

Cascade looked to where her daughter was pointing to.

Cascade: (squints her eyes and sees the dragon Pokémon) Why, so it is.

Ice Cream Seller: (hands out the ice cream) Here you go, five ice cream cones, ready to be eaten! (notices Cascade and Misty looking at something) Say, what are you two looking at?

Cascade: Oh! Sorry. (takes the ice cream meant for her and Misty) We were just looking at that Horsea. See? (points to the ocean)

The ice cream seller looks in the direction Cascade was pointing towards.

Ice Cream Seller: Oh, that Horsea. I know that little one. (hands Delia hers, Ash and Pikachu's ice creams)

Misty: You do, mister?

Ice Cream Seller: Sure do. It gets excited to see new people getting ice cream. It also loves my ice cream, too.

Misty: It does?

Ice Cream Seller: Mmhmm… That little Pokémon loves to make people happy by blowing bubbles and there's one flavor it likes the most.

Cascade: Do tell.

Ice Cream Seller: Pistachio-flavored.

This gave Misty an idea.

Misty: Mommy, I just thought of something.

Cascade: What is it, sweetie?

Misty: Do you think it's a good idea for me and Horsea to share my ice cream?

Cascade: (smiles) I suppose it'd be alright. Go ahead, baby.

Misty: Thanks, Mommy! (walks over to Horsea) Hello, Horsea, I'm Misty. Do you like pistachio-flavored ice cream?

Horsea: (nods) Horsea.

Misty: Here, you can have some.

Horsea hopped up and down in excitement. Cascade, Delia, Ash, and Pikachu saw the whole thing. The dragon Pokémon started taking a lick out of Misty's ice cream. Then Misty started licking too.

Cascade: (smiles) That's nice, they're liking the same thing.

Pikachu: (chuckles) They sure do, Cascade.

Delia: Enjoying your ice cream, honey?

Ash: Yeah, it's really delicious. By the way, what happened with Gary? Did Professor Oak and Daisy punish him?

Delia: Yes, they had to make him put on a swim diaper.

Ash: (chuckles) Really?

Delia: Really, so you won't worry about him bothering you again.

Ash: Thanks, Mom. You're the best.

Delia smiled.

Ash: By the way, how's your ice cream, Pikachu?

Pikachu: DEEEE-licious!

Cascade: Well, I should go check on Misty. We'll have plenty of time to play again later.

Delia: Okay, Cascade. We'll see you later.

Cascade nodded and went toward her daughter and Horsea. Ash, Delia, and Pikachu went back to the Oak Family to see how they're doing.

Ash: Hi, Professor Oak! Hi, Daisy!

Professor Oak: Hello there, my boy!

Daisy: Hey there, Ash! I see you got some ice cream. And don't worry about Gary. He's already been punished.

Ash: Mom already told me. (chuckles) Oh, there's someone I like you to meet. Daisy, Professor, this is Pikachu.

Pikachu: Hi, Professor. Hi, Daisy.

Daisy and Professor Oak jumped in surprise.

Professor Oak: Oh my goodness!

Daisy: Is it my imagination, or is that Pikachu actually talking?

Ash: That's right, Jesus performed a miracle on him.

Then Pikachu told Daisy and the Professor what he already told Ash and Misty.

Daisy: What an entertaining story, Pikachu.

Ash: Mom allowed me to catch him, too.

Professor Oak: That's wonderful!

Daisy: Guess you have your own Pokémon partner at last. (winks)

Ash: (winks back) I sure did!

When Gary looked at Ash having his very first Pokémon, he was really upset.

Gary: Ash got his first Pokémon before me?! This isn't fair!

Daisy: Gary, be quiet. Not another word.

Gary just pouted in anger.

Daisy: Don't mind my baby brother, Ash. (snickers)

Ash and Pikachu joined in the snickering.

Delia: Hey Ash, how about we play a game of This Little Tepig?

Ash: Sure. Can we start with your toes, Mom?

Delia: Of course, honey.

Pikachu: This Little Tepig? How do you play?

Ash: Watch me, and you'll see.

With that, Delia sat herself on the sand, with her legs and feet stretched out in front of her.

Ash: This Little Tepig went to market. This Little Tepig stayed home. This Little Tepig had berries. This Little Tepig had none. And This Little Tepig went "Wee! Wee! Wee!" all the way home!

Ash tickled the bare soles of his mother's feet as he said it.

Delia: (laughs out loud) Hey, that tickles!

She scrunched up her toes as Ash tickled them.

Pikachu: (chuckles) Say, that looks like fun!

Pikachu decided to use the tip of his tail to tickle Delia's toes.

Pikachu: Get ready for my tail, Mrs. Ketchum!

The mouse Pokémon then moved the tip of his tail from side to side and up and down, tickling Delia's soles, heels and toes as he did so.

Pikachu: How do you feel, Mrs. Ketchum?

Ash: Yeah, whatcha think, Mom?

Delia: (laughs out loud) Two against one! No fair!

Meanwhile… Up in the sky, a Meowth head-shaped balloon was floating silently over the beach. Three mysterious figures were looking at the ice cream stand and laughed mischievously. The first one was a female figure with magenta hair tied into two pigtails. The second one was a male figure with shoulder-length periwinkle hair. And the third figure was a cat scratch Pokémon called Meowth. They looked at the people enjoying themselves and started to talk.

Female Figure: Ice cream on a beach day. How wonderful.

Male Figure: Wonderful? It'll just make us even cooler.

Female Figure: Then you should be happy that the ice cream man gave a two-scoop.

Male Figure: Exactly.

Female Figure: We'll show these beach bozos.

Male Figure: The people of Seafoam Island will be sorry they ever lost some frozen treats.

Meowth: Den what are we waitin' for?

Female Figure: Absolutely.

Male Figure: But of course.

Meowth: And just remember, I'm da top cat.

Male Figure: You got it.

Meowth: Meowth.

Meanwhile… Back at the beach, Cascade was watching Misty sharing her pistachio ice cream with the Horsea. Misty was starting to take a liking to that little Pokémon.

Misty: (giggles) You're such a cute Pokémon, Horsea.

Horsea: (trills happily) Horsea! Horsea!

Cascade: (laughs) She sure is, Misty. She sure is.

Misty: (to Horsea) Makes me wish you were part of our family.

The Ice Cream Seller looked at the mother, daughter, and Pokémon spending time happily together eating ice cream. Suddenly, there was a big explosion in the sand!

Ice Cream Seller: (shocked) What was that?!

Female Figure: Don't be alarmed, ice cream maker.

Male Figure: Allow us to introduce ourselves.

Female Figure: To protect the world from devastation.

Male Figure: To unite all peoples within our nation.

Female Figure: To denounce the evils of truth and love.

Male Figure: To extend our reach to the stars above.

Female Figure: Jessie.

Male Figure: James.

Jessie: Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light.

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight.

Meowth: Meowth, dat's right!

Ice Cream Seller: What do you want from me?! (covering his frozen treats)

Jessie: You don't get it, do you?

James: We just want your merchandise.

Ice Cream Seller: You're not taking the ice cream! It's for everyone here on this beach!

Meowth: Too bad, bub.

Jessie & James: Ekans, Koffing, attack!

Jessie's Ekans and James's Koffing emerged from their respective Poké Balls.

Ekans: Ekansssss!

Koffing: Koffinnnnng!

James: Koffing, Smog Attack, now!

Koffing unleashed smog.

Jessie: Ekans, go underground and grab the frozen treats!

Ekans began digging underground.

Ice Cream Seller: (coughing) Somebody, stop these crooks!

James: Excellent!

Just then, Team Rocket heard a little girl's voice shouting.

Voice: Stop what you're doing, right now!

Jessie: Who dares interrupt our plan?!

They looked and saw the owner of the voice. It was Misty.

Misty: Why are you trying to grab all the ice cream for yourselves? Stealing is wrong!

Jessie: You should stay out of our business, little girl before you get hurt!

Misty: You won't be so confident when my mommy's done with you, old lady!

Jessie: W-wh-what… Did you just call me?!

Misty: I called you an old lady, old lady!

Jessie growled in anger, showing her teeth. If there was one of many things she couldn't stand, it was someone calling her "old".

Jessie: I'm not that old! I'm over 20 years old!

Voice: I don't care if you're over 100 years old. You won't get away with it.

Team Rocket then saw that Cascade came up alongside her daughter, with a Poké Ball at the ready.

Voice: What's going on?

James: Who said that?

Voice: I did!

Team Rocket looked and saw a little boy and a Pikachu with him.

Pikachu: Looks like some creeps looking for trouble.

Meowth: (shocked) Dat Pikachu can talk?!

Pikachu: That's right, buddy!

Ash: That Meowth can talk, too?

James: What a rare Pokémon you have there, little boy!

Jessie: (regaining her composure) Hand him over!

Ash: Forget it, old lady!

Pikachu: There's no way I'm leaving my boy!

Jessie: (growls) I'm not an old lady, you little brat!

Meowth: Just wait, Pikachu. You're mine. (reveals his claws)

Ash: Pikachu, look out!

Meowth went in to attack with Fury Swipes when suddenly some black ink was shot right into his face.

Meowth: Ah! I've been sprayed! I can't see! Help!

Pikachu: Who sprayed that?

Voice: Horsea!

They looked and saw it was Horsea that sprayed ink at Meowth.

Ash & Pikachu: Horsea!

Misty: Way to go, Horsea!

Horsea: (happily) Horsea!

Jessie: Why that little squirt!

James: We'll get you for that!

Ekans and Koffing go to attack when Cascade throws her Poké Ball.

Cascade: Milotic, go!

From her Poké Ball emerged a large serpentine Pokémon.

Milotic: Milotic!

Jessie, James, and their Pokémon were surprised.

Cascade: Milotic, use Hydro Pump!

Milotic uses Hydro Pump to spray on Team Rocket and they are completely soaked!

Meowth: Ugh! And I don't even like water! Unless it's in a glass!

Ash: Let's finish it up, Pikachu. Use Thunderbolt now!

Pikachu: Thunderbolt!

Pikachu unleashed his Thunderbolt attack, and because Team Rocket and their Pokémon were already soaking wet, the attack was especially effective. Team Rocket got electrocuted and the explosion sent them flying!

James: All we wanted was all those delicious frozen treats!

Jessie: Is that so much to ask?!

Meowth: I dunno how dat Pikachu managed to talk like me, but he's no ordinary Pikachu.

James: It's certainly very rare, a perfect prize.

Jessie: Let's catch it.

Meowth: Perhaps we will.

Team Rocket: WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!

With that, they disappeared into the sky.

Ash: We did it, Pikachu! We won!

Pikachu: Aw yeah!

Misty: Great job, Ash, Pikachu! You too, Horsea and Milotic.

Cascade: (chuckles, to Milotic) Great work as always, old friend.

Milotic: (smiles) Milo.

Ice Cream Seller: What about my ice cream? Is it okay?

They looked at his cart and stood.

Misty: Yes, they're all okay, sir!

Ice Cream Seller: Phew! Thank Heavens!

Ash: I'm glad you're also okay, mister.

Ice Cream Seller: Thanks, young man.

Just then, Ash heard his mother calling.

Delia: Ash!

Ash: We'd better go, Pikachu.

Pikachu: Yeah. We've got the whole day for some beach fun. (to Misty and Horsea) Are you girls coming?

Misty: Yeah, come on, Horsea!

Horsea: (trills) Horsea!

Cascade, meanwhile, returned Milotic to her Poke Ball.

So for the rest of the day, the kids and Pokémon played all day at the beach. They were having a wonderful time! Then it was time to go home, Ash and Misty said goodbye to each other. As Pikachu was hugging Horsea, something strange happened.

Pikachu: Horsea, it was nice having fun with you. I'm glad you decided to be Misty's first Pokémon.

Horsea: Thank you, Pika-... Did… I… just talk?!

Pikachu was surprised!

Pikachu: Whoa! This is amazing! The blessing Jesus gave me must have passed on to you.

Horsea: Oh boy!

Pikachu: We gotta tell Ash and Misty!

Horsea: Misty is gonna be so surprised!

Both Pokémon ran up to their respective Trainers-to-be.

Pikachu: Ash, Misty! You're not gonna believe this!

Ash: What is it, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Show 'em, Horsea.

Horsea: I just started to talk! Isn't it great?

Misty: (gasps) Horsea, you talked! Mommy, did you hear that? Horsea can talk!

Cascade: Yes, baby, I hear her.

Delia: How did this happen?

Pikachu: I think I passed the blessing Jesus gave me to Horsea. It happened when I hugged her.

Horsea: It's true. Isn't it wonderful, Misty? Now we can talk together for as long as we want!

Professor Oak: That's amazing!

Daisy: (whistles) First Pikachu and now Horsea. What's next?

Delia: I don't know, but we'll find out sooner or later. Come on, Ash. Let's go home.

Ash: Okay, Mom. See ya later, Daisy and Professor.

Pikachu: See you later, guys!

Professor Oak: Take care of yourselves, now.

Daisy: See ya later, Ash and Mrs. Ketchum. You too, Pikachu.

Gary just grunted, not bothering to say anything.

Daisy: (to Gary) When we get back, Gary, you're going to be sleeping on the couch tonight with a diaper on.

Gary: (groans) Aw…

Just then, the professor had an idea!

Professor Oak: Daisy?

Daisy: Yes, Grandpa?

Professor Oak: Remember what I said about the Shlomlite Region that we showed to Ash and Delia?

Daisy: Yeah. Why?

Professor Oak: (smiles) Well, why don't you go with Ash and Pikachu on a Pokémon journey? That young man always wanted to go on an adventure.

Daisy: Maybe we should ask Mrs. Ketchum and see how she feels about it, Grandpa. I think Misty should come along too.

Professor Oak: Good idea, honey.

At the Ketchums' House, Ash, Delia, and Pikachu went inside and the mother and child changed back to their regular clothing. They met Mimey in the kitchen. Delia's barrier Pokémon could be seen sweeping the floor.

Ash: Hi, Mimey, we're back!

Delia: And we have a new friend of Ash's who's staying with us now.

Pikachu: Hello Mimey! (smiles)

Mimey: (shocked) Mime!

Delia: Whoa! Whoa! Calm down, Mimey. There's no need to be alarmed.

Mimey: (to Pikachu) Mime, Mime, Mime, Mime?

Pikachu: "How am I able to talk," you say?

Mimey: (nods) Mime.

Pikachu: I'm glad you asked.

So once more, Pikachu told Delia's partner Pokémon what he already told Ash and the others.

Ash: (to Delia, while Pikachu was explaining to Mimey) I guess Pikachu's gift also allows him to translate what other Pokémon are saying, huh?

Delia: (smiles) It sure looks that way, honey.

Mimey looked interested in what Pikachu had to say.

Delia: Now, how about we get dinner ready?

Ash: Sounds good to me.

Delia: Ash, why don't you show Pikachu to your room while I get started with dinner?

Ash: Sure thing. Hey, Pikachu, how 'bout I show you to my room?

Pikachu: Okay, I'm right behind you.

With that, the mouse Pokémon followed Ash upstairs, while Delia went right to work.

Delia: (smiles) Isn't it wonderful, Mimey? My boy now has his own partner. Almost reminds me of us. (giggles)

Mimey: (smiles, nods) Mime-Mime.

Up in Ash's room, Ash was showing Pikachu around.

Ash: So, like what ya see?

Pikachu: Yes, I love it! (climbs up onto Ash's bed) This is certainly different from how I used to live.

Ash: What do you mean?

Pikachu: When I was a Pichu, I mostly lived with a family of Kangaskhan who took me in.

Ash: You mean, they adopted you?

Pikachu: Yeah. Mama Kangaskhan treated me like I was one of her own children.

Ash: Aww… That's sweet. So, why did you leave her?

Pikachu: Well… It eventually got to a point where her pouch got crowded. Especially when Mama Kangaskhan had a new egg alongside her own baby.

Ash: Wow, what a beautiful story.

Pikachu: Yeah. (pause) Still, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

Ash: I'm sure you will, Pikachu. Your mama is saying goodbye from her heart.

Pikachu: Yeah. Might be nice to see her again though. Someday.

The two friends smiled as they heard Delia calling them.

Delia's voice: Ash! Pikachu! Dinner!

Ash: Okay, Mom! Let's wash our hands first before we eat, Pikachu.

Pikachu: (smiles) Right behind ya, buddy.

After their hand washing, Ash and Pikachu went to the kitchen table to sit down. After all four sat at their places, they each held hands for a prayer.

Ash: Lord, we thank you today for a wonderful day at Seafoam Island. Also, thank you for bringing Pikachu into our family tonight. We like to bless the food to our bodies, in your Name we pray, Amen.

Delia and Pikachu: Amen.

Mimey: Mime-Mime.

As Ash and his family were eating, Ash thought of something.

Ash: Mom, aren't you glad we decided to invite Pikachu into our family?

Delia: (smiles) Of course, dear. I always prayed that you would find the right Pokémon to be your partner. Just as I found my partner in Mimey when I was a little girl.

Ash: (smiles) I'm glad, too.

Delia: After dinner, I want you to take a bath, brush your teeth, play with your friend, and get ready for bed.

Ash: 'Kay.

Ash was so excited to play with his Pokémon pal once more after he was done with his bath. He also didn't forget to brush his teeth. After that, he went back to his bedroom with Pikachu. The mouse Pokémon was excited to be able to play with his new human partner.

Pikachu: I can't wait to start playing with you, Ash!

Ash: Me too, buddy.

The two friends played together until it was time to go to bed. Ash changed into his pajamas and waited for his mother to come and tuck him and Pikachu in.

Pikachu: Nice bed you got here, Ash.

Ash: Thanks. I like it, too.

Just then, Delia entered the room, wearing her nightgown.

Delia: Come on, Ash, Pikachu. It's time for bed.

Pikachu: Okay, Mrs. Ketchum. (yawns) I'm so sleepy. C'mon, Ash.

Ash: (yawns) Yeah. Okay.

As Delia tucked Ash and Pikachu in, she decided to pray with them.

Delia: Boys, let's say our prayers before we go to sleep.

Ash: Okay, Mom.

With that, they brought their hands together.

Ash: Jesus, thank you for giving us a wonderful day at Seafoam Island. I had a wonderful time with Mom.

Pikachu: And Lord, thank you for leading me on my journey to find this boy. In your Name, we pray, Amen.

Delia: (smiles) Very good, boys. Goodnight, you two. (kisses Ash on the forehead)

Ash: Goodnight, Mom.

Pikachu: Goodnight, Mrs. Ketchum.

As Ash and Pikachu went to sleep, Delia closed the door quietly. As she was getting ready to go to bed, she heard a ringing sound.

Delia: Who could that be, I wonder? (went to answer the videophone) Oh, Professor Oak and Daisy, hello.

Professor Oak: Hello, Delia. Is this a good time to talk?

Delia: (smiles) Yes, it is. What is it you wanna talk about?

Daisy: Well, Grandpa had an idea that involves Ash. And Pikachu, too.

Delia: (confused) What about Ash?

Professor Oak then explained his idea.

Delia: A Pokémon Journey in the Shlomlite Region? Are you sure?

Professor Oak: Daisy would be right with them the whole time. We already talked to Cascade and she said it's okay for Misty.

Daisy: I promise, Mrs. K. I won't let 'em outta my sight.

Delia: Well… Okay, he can go. I have to get Ash's backpack ready for him. And I'll be sure to tell him about it tomorrow morning.

Daisy: Great! Thanks, Mrs. Ketchum. I'll have to bring him a Bible so he can learn about God's Word.

Delia: Actually, Daisy, I already bought one for him for his next birthday. But I guess I can give it to him early. It's in the New International Version and it's called "Psalty's Kids Bible". How's that sound?

Daisy: Sounds great! See you tomorrow!

Delia: Alright, then. You take care as well, Professor. (winks)

Professor Oak: (chuckles) Oh, I will, Delia. No need to worry for me.

Delia: Goodnight. (hangs up the phone) Well, time to get started on working on Ash's backpack.

So Delia went to the attic to get started working on Ash's new backpack. She hummed a little tune as she set to work. It took a long time for her to get the backpack made, but at last, it was ready!

Delia: (smiles) Ash'll be so surprised. (yawns) I guess it's time I went to sleep.

And with that, Delia turned off the attic lamp and headed back downstairs to her bedroom to get some sleep.

The next morning, Delia woke up at the crack of dawn. She got herself dressed, started making breakfast, and she called her little boy and Pikachu to come down.

Delia: Ash! Pikachu! Breakfast!

Ash and Pikachu woke up to hear Delia's voice calling their names. Both the boy and Pokémon yawned as they woke up.

Pikachu: (stretches) Guess it's time to get up. (sniffs) Besides, I smell something good.

Ash: (rubs his eyes) I smell it too, Pikachu! C'mon!

With that, Ash and Pikachu got up and climbed down from the bed. They went downstairs and went to the kitchen to have their seats.

Mimey: Mr. Mime-Mime.

Pikachu: Good mornin', Mimey.

Ash: Good morning, Mom!

Delia: (smiles) Good morning, honey.

Ash: What are we having for breakfast?

Pikachu: Yeah, what're we having?

Delia: We're having apple cinnamon pancakes. How's that sound?

Pikachu: Hmm. Sounds interesting.

Ash: Yummy, sounds great to me.

Delia: Now before we eat, let's pray.

With that, they each sat at the table and held hands. This time, Pikachu held onto Ash's hand, and one of Mimey's hands. Unknown to them, the same thing that happened between Pikachu and Horsea happened again.

Delia: Ready?

Ash: I'm ready.

Pikachu: Me too.

Mimey: Ready! (gasps) Hey, I can talk! Delia, can you believe it? I'm talking!

Delia giggled at her barrier Pokémon.

Delia: Anyway, let's pray.

With that, Delia led the prayer this time.

Delia: Dear God, thank you for giving us a goodnight's sleep last night, and thank you for the breakfast we're going to have. In your Name, we pray, Amen.

Ash, Pikachu, and Mimey: Amen.

Delia: Ash, Pikachu, after breakfast, I have a surprise for both of you.

Ash: Okay, Mom.

Pikachu: What is it?

Delia: Wait and see, Pikachu. Wait and see.

After breakfast, Delia told her son to get dressed and get ready. After a while, Ash got dressed in his regular attire and came back downstairs with Pikachu following close behind.

Ash: So, Mom, what's the surprise you're talking about?

Delia: (brought out the green backpack to show Ash and Pikachu) Ta-da!

Ash: A new backpack?

Delia: That's right, Ash.

Ash: What do I need a backpack for?

Delia was about to say something when there's a knock at the door.

Mimey: I'll get it! (opens the door)

As Mimey opened the front door, there was Daisy Oak!

Daisy: Hi there!

Ash: Daisy, what are you doing here?

Daisy: Have you told them yet, Mrs. Ketchum?

Delia: I was just about to talk to them right now. (to Ash and Pikachu) Ash, Pikachu, you're going to Shlomlite Region with Daisy!

Ash: (gasps) Wait, what? I'm going to the Shlomlite Region with Pikachu and Daisy!?

Daisy: And a couple of others as well. (winks)

Ash: Oh boy, I can't wait to get there! Let's go, Pikachu!

Pikachu: Alright!

Narrator: It looks like our little hero and his new friend are going on a Pokémon journey after all. Who are the other people Daisy was talking about? We'll find out as Ash's journey to the Shlomlite Region begins.

To Be Continued…

And that just about does it for chapter 2. I am sorry Noah for not making much changes, it is just that chaging it was a lot harder work than I originally thought it was. I still hope you and the others like it! I will see you next Sunday for another chapter!
