Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Pokemon Kids! Last time, some new kids joined the group, as seen by a new character I added in the description. And the Pokemon Kids Family will continue to grow today in another holiday special. (And yes, I know it is long before the holiday AGAIN, but this is NOAH'S story). It will be a longy, but a goodie, I promise. Now let's go!

Narrator: It's been a month since the kids celebrated the Shlomlite Harvest Festival. Cilan was happy to be thankful for having great friends and having Dwebble be his second partner. Right now, our little heroes are going to have a beautiful and silent night.

Iris: (realizes she felt a cold breeze) Brr… Is it just me or did it just cold out here?

Axew: Yeah, I feel it too.

Ash: And look at those trees. (pointing to the pine trees covered in decorations) They're covered in ornaments and lights.

Serena: That must mean winter is coming.

Clemont: And you know what those decorated trees mean.

Misty: Yeah, Christmas is on the way.

Pikachu: Christmas? What's that?

Ash: Mom says that it's the celebration of Jesus's birth.

Pikachu: On this special holiday?

Tabitha: Absolutely, Pikachu.

Pikachu: That sounds wonderful.

Ash: Yeah. It's one of my mom's favorite holidays throughout the year.

Daisy: It looks like today is Christmas Eve.

Ash: Y'know, maybe we should give our families a call and wish them a Merry Christmas.

Serena: And say that we met some new friends along the way.

Ash: Totally.

As the group continued walking, they saw a big wooden cabin.

Tracey: Hey guys, look over there. (points to the cabin) This looks like a place for spending Christmas Eve together.

Marill: You might be right, Tracey.

Marina: Maybe. But what if someone lives here?

Dawn: We'll just have to find out.

Piplup: Agreed.

Pikachu: Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!

Daisy went to the door, followed by Ash, Pikachu, Serena, and Fennekin. When Daisy opened the door, she was surprised to see none other than her grandfather, Professor Oak, and her little brother, Gary.

Daisy: Grandpa? Gary?

Professor Oak: (smiles) Hello, kids.

Ash: Professor Oak! What are you doing here?

Professor Oak: We're here for Christmas Eve. Right, Gary?

Gary: That's right.

Ash: What are you doing here, Gary? I hope you're not here to make any more trouble.

Daisy: Especially because of the holiday.

Gary: Oh, don't worry. I'm done making trouble. Anyway, you guys are right. The Shlomlite Region is so cool.

Daisy: Hey, guys, c'mon in! There's someone you should meet.

One by one, the other members of the group came into the cabin. When he saw Professor Oak, Tracey was immediately awestruck.

Tracey: Professor Oak. It's so nice to meet you.

Professor Oak: (smiles) Well, hello to you, too, young man.

Tracey: Professor, this is my Pokémon, Marill.

Marill: Hello there. Tracey's been a fan of yours for a long time.

Professor Oak: Ah. Looks like you received the blessing that Pikachu has.

Marill: That's right, but it's not just me.

The other Pokémon spoke up.

Vulpix: Hi!

Chespin: Hiya!

Pansage: Hello there.

Axew: I'm Axew.

Torchic: Hello, there.

Skitty: Nice to meet you.

Dwebble: So am I.

Dawn: Wow. You're the poetry guy I heard about.

Professor Oak: (chuckles) Well, I don't think I've been called that before.

One by one, the kids all introduced themselves.

Professor Oak: It's so nice to meet you all.

Ash: Too bad my Mom isn't here.

Pikachu: Yeah. I miss Kangaskhan, my adopted mother, too.

Professor Oak: I think you should come with me, you two.

Professor Oak led the boy and Mouse Pokémon to another part of the cabin.

Ash: What's going on, Professor Oak? Where are you taking us?

Professor Oak: You'll see, lad.

Unknown to either of them, Serena and Fennekin were following close behind.

Fennekin: (whispers) I wonder where the Professor is taking those two.

Serena: (whispers) Guess we'll see, Fennekin.

As the Professor made it to the door, he told Ash and Pikachu to close their eyes.

Professor Oak: It's a surprise. (winks)

So Ash and Pikachu closed their eyes just as the Professor instructed them to do.

Ash: I love surprises.

Pikachu: Oh boy. (giggles)

When the Professor opened the door, it revealed Delia Ketchum, Mimey, and Kangaskhan.

Delia: (smiles) Hello, Ash and Pikachu.

Ash: Hey, I recognize that voice. (opens his eyes) Mom!

Pikachu: (opens his eyes) Mama Kangaskhan!

Mama Kangaskhan: (smiles) Hello, my boy.

Baby Kangaskhan: Hi, big brother!

Mimey: Nice to see you again.

Ash: What are you doing here?

Delia: Well, I wasn't going to let my baby spend Christmas alone.

Mimey: So, we asked Professor Oak to bring us along.

Ash: (embraces Delia) I missed you, Mom.

Delia: (embraces Ash back) As did I, honey.

Pikachu: Mama Kangaskhan, did you receive Jesus's blessing? When did this happen?

Mama Kangaskhan: Well, it's quite a story. After you left, my baby and I became worried when you left. So we decided to search for you.

Baby Kangaskhan: I was especially worried for you, big brother.

Pikachu: Aww…

Mama Kangaskhan: Eventually, we came to your house in Pallet Town.

Mimey: You can imagine the surprise we got when Kangaskhan showed up.

Pikachu: I guess so.

Mama Kangaskhan: Anyway, I tried to ask Delia if she had seen a Pichu, but of course, she couldn't understand us.

Baby Kangaskhan: Until Mimey touched us, and we were suddenly able to talk like humans can.

Delia: When Mama Kangaskhan asked us again if we had seen a Pichu, part of me couldn't help but feel that maybe she was talking about Pikachu here.

Pikachu: Is that why you were searching for me?

Mama Kangaskhan: Yes. You had disappeared without telling me where you were.

Pikachu realized that she was right. He had left Kangaskhan without saying goodbye.

Pikachu: I'm sorry about that, Mama Kangaskhan. You too, little sis. It's just seeing you carrying me as well as you when you were an egg was slowing Mama down. And I thought I was doing her a favor by leaving.

Baby Kangaskhan: Really? Is that why you left us?

Pikachu: That's right.

Mama Kangaskhan: You're growing up so fast, Pikachu.

She then picked up the Mouse Pokémon and gave him a gentle hug.

Pikachu: Thanks, Mama Kangaskhan. By the way, Mrs. Ketchum, why did Mama Kangaskhan tag along with you?

Delia: (smiles) Well, when she and Baby told me about you, and I told them that you might be the Pichu she was talking about, I suggested that she and Baby Kangaskhan stay with me and Mimey. And I'm glad I did. I don't know why, but something told me that you and the Pichu she mentioned were one and the same.

Pikachu: Is that why you chose Kangaskhan to be your new Pokémon?

Delia: Well, that and we immediately hit it off the moment she received the same blessing that you and Mimey received.

Ash: That's so sweet. And I'm glad to have gotten to meet your mother, Pikachu.

Voice: I'm glad, too. That was such a sweet story.

When Ash and Pikachu heard the voice, they turned around to see Serena and Fennekin.

Ash: Serena!

Pikachu: Fennekin!

Ash: How long have you been there?

Serena: Long enough. Fennekin and I were curious as to where Professor Oak was taking you, and I guess we kinda heard the whole thing. I know it's not polite to eavesdrop, but I just couldn't help myself. Please, don't be mad at me.

Fennekin: And me.

Ash: Why would I be mad? You're my friend. Oh, Mom, this is one of the friends I made while on my journey. Serena, and her partner, Fennekin. Serena, Fennekin, this is my Mom.

Serena: (walks up) H-H-Hello, Mrs. Ketchum.

Delia: (smiles) It's nice to meet you, dear.

Fennekin: H-Hi.

Mama Kangaskhan: Well, any friend of my boy, Pikachu, is a friend of mine.

Baby Kangaskhan: Me too.

Delia: Anyway, I think it's time to make Christmas Dinner and I brought some help.

Ash: Yeah? What kinda help?

Delia: You'll see.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Delia: Come in!

Just then, the door opened, revealing three boys and three girls, along with the following Pokémon - Popplio, Charmander, Bounsweet, Togedemaru, Alolan Vulpix, and Lillipup.

Serena: Wow. Some more kids?

Fennekin: And more Pokémon?

Tanned girl: Alola!

Ash & Serena: Alola?

Professor Oak: That's both the name of a region and a greeting from the people of the Alola region.

Delia: Kids, this is my boy, Ash Ketchum, his partner Pikachu, and their friends, Serena and Fennekin.

Ash: Hiya.

Serena: Hello.

Tanned Girl: Nice to meet ya. I'm Mallow.

Bounsweet: I'm Bounsweet.

Blue-Haired Girl: I'm Lana, and this is Popplio.

Popplio: Hello, there.

Chubby Boy: I'm Sophocles, and this is my partner, Togedemaru.

Togedemaru: Hiya.

Tanned Boy: I'm Kiawe, and this is Charmander.

Charmander: Nice to meet you.

Blond Boy: My name is Gladion. This is my friend, Lillipup, and my little sister, Lillie.

Lillie: Hello.

Lillipup: Greetings.

Lillie: This is Snowy, my Vulpix.

Snowy: Hello there.

Serena: Whoa! They can talk?

Delia: Yep. They received Mimey's blessing sometime after we met.

Ash: Mom, how'd you come to meet them all?

Delia: (giggles) By saying "Merry Christmas", of course.

Serena: Are they here with anybody?

Female Voice: As a matter of fact, there is, young lady.

The kids from Alola are with their babysitters. Mallow's babysitter is a 15-year-old girl with antique brass hair with ringlets, fern green shoes, an Italian chef's outfit, a pair of parrot pink pants, light rose skin, and slate-colored eyes.

Female Babysitter: My name is Pepper. I'm Mallow's babysitter.

Next was Gladion and Lillie's babysitter, and she has lemon glacier hair with pigtails, winter sky eyes, medium golden skin, melon-colored boots, a sky blue blouse with white polka dots, and a pair of pale rose 6-pocket jeans, and she is 14 years old.

Female Babysitter: The name is Nancy, and I am Lillie and Gladion's babysitter.

Kiawe's babysitter was next. He has medium deep rose skin, a cerulean flannel shirt, a straw hat, cocoa eyes, light brown boots, orange hair in bowl-cut, a pair of cowboy cut jeans, he is 16 years old, and has a purple bandana.

Male Babysitter: Howdy folks, I'm Sawyer.

Next was Lana's babysitter. He has long dark blue hair, is 13 years old, has medium deep almond skin, a pair of ocean blue beach shoes, a sea-green fishing shirt, a pair of gray yoga pants, and has a surfboard medallion.

Male Babysitter: My name's Zuma. I'm also her fishing teacher.

Finally, Sophocles's babysitter was last. She was a very light almond-skinned teenager who is 15 years old, with a pair of light brown overall shorts, mango-colored converse shoes, has raspberry hair in a heart-shaped hairstyle, and lilac eyes.

Female Babysitter: Nice to meet you, kids. My name is Kia.

Pikachu: Whoa. So many babysitters.

Ash: Tell me about it. And they're all here to help you, Mom?

Delia: It's not just them. Cascade is here to help too.

As Ash was catching up with his mom, Misty was about to receive a surprise of her own.

Cascade: Ta-da!

Misty: (gasps) Mom!

In her excitement, Misty tackled her mom into a nearby chair, embracing her in a hug.

Misty: Oh, Mom, I missed you.

Cascade: (hugs back) I missed you, too, baby.

Voice: Serena, your mommy's here!

Coming out of the room where Ash and his mom were, Serena then saw her mother, Grace.

Serena: Mommy!

Grace: Hello, sweetie!

Mother and daughter began embracing each other. Ash and Delia came out to see this.

Serena: Mommy, this is my new friend, Ash Ketchum, and his mom.

Ash: Nice to meet you, ma'am.

Grace: Nice to meet you too, young man.

As Professor Oak came back in, he then heard another voice.

Voice: Ah, there are you, Sam. Nice to see you and your grandkids again.

It was a man who looked similar to Professor Oak, only he had dark skin and long gray hair.

Professor Oak: Well, if it isn't our Alolan cousin, Samson.

Daisy: Uncle Samson!

Gary: What're you doin' here?

Samson: Well, your gramps invited me to come along. After all, it's not every day I get to visit my cousins from the Kanto region.

Pikachu: Whoa. The resemblance between him and Professor Oak is uncanny.

Fennekin: You said it.

Serena: You almost look like twins.

Both Oaks chuckled at Serena's comment.

Tracey: Wow. I heard that Professor Samuel Oak had a cousin in Alola, but never thought I'd get to meet them both at the same time! This is astonishing! (brings out sketchbook) I've gotta sketch this.

Ash: Shouldn't we give the other families a call and wish them a Merry Christmas?

Serena: Oh yeah. That's an idea.

Lana: Let's do it.

Brock went to call his family in Pewter City first. His parents Flint and Lola appeared on the screen.

Brock: Hi Mom, hi Dad.

Flint: Hello son.

Lola: How've you been, honey?

Brock: I've been great. It's Christmas Eve. And I wanted to wish you and my brothers and sisters a Merry Christmas.

Flint: Aw, thanks, Brock.

Brock: You're welcome.

Lola: Kids, Brock's on the phone. C'mon over and say hello!

One by one, Brock's siblings appeared on the screen - Forrest, Salvadore, Yolanda, Tommy, and Cindy. Each one says "hi" to their eldest brother and wishes him a "Merry Christmas".

Brock: Aw, thanks, guys. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Then it was May and Max's turn. Their mother, Caroline, appeared on the screen.

May: Merry Christmas, Mom.

Caroline: Aw, thanks, kids. Hold on. Norman! May and Max are on the phone!

Voice: Coming!

After a moment, their dad, Norman, appeared on the screen.

Norman: Hey, May, and Max! Are you behaving yourselves?

Max: Uh-huh.

May: Just wanted to wish you and Mom a Merry Christmas, Dad.

Norman: Thanks, May. Hope you're taking good care of your brother.

May: Don't worry, Dad. He's in good hands. (winks)

Next in line is Dawn. Her mother, Johanna, appeared on the screen.

Johanna: Why, Dawn! (smiles) I was hoping you'd call.

Dawn: Yes, I am, Mommy. I wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas.

Johanna: Oh, thank you, honey. (blows a kiss)

Dawn: (blows a kiss right back) You're welcome.

Next was Iris, who called her adopted grandfather, Drayden.

Iris: H-Hi, Grandpa.

Drayden: Well, Iris. How are you this Christmas Eve?

Iris: I-I feel great. Axew and I have been having lots of fun. And we wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas as well.

Drayden: (chuckles) Well, thank you, Iris.

Cilan's call was up next. His brothers Chili and Cress appeared on the screen.

Chili: Hey, Cilan!

Cress: It's certainly been a while.

Cilan: Yes, it has, Pansage and I are having an amazing time.

Pansage: We sure are!

Chili: Hey! Your Pansage just talked!

Cress: How did that happen?

Pansage: Ash's Pikachu just gave me the blessing of Jesus. That's how it made me speak like you guys.

Cress: Hey Cilan, when you get back from your journey, can your Pansage pass the blessing onto Panpour and Pansear as well?

Cilan: Hmm. I don't see why not.

Chili: Great! Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Cilan: You too, guys.

Next was Clemont and Bonnie's dad, Meyer.

Clemont: Hey Dad, Merry Christmas.

Meyer: Well, thanks, Clemont! Hope you're taking good care of your sister, son.

Clemont: I sure am and I've made lots of new friends as well.

Bonnie: Uh-huh.

Meyer: That's swell. Well, stay safe. And Merry Christmas to you both.

Up next are the Alola Kids and each of the parents was on six screens.

Lana: Hi, Mom and Dad. Merry Christmas!

Lana's mother: Oh, thank you, honey.

Lana's father: Say hi to your sister, Harper, and Sarah.

Harper and Sarah cooed upon seeing their big sister.

Lana: Guess what, Mom and Dad. I've made some new friends.

Lana's mother: (smiles) Oh that's wonderful, honey.

Meanwhile, Kiawe spoke with his family - his father Rango, his mother Sima, and baby sister Mimo.

Sima: Mimo, say hello to your big brother.

Mimo: (coos happily)

Rango: Glad you took the time to call us on Christmas, son.

Kiawe: I sure did, Dad.

Sima: I see that you've made new friends.

Kiawe: Sure have. And some of them are from our home region as well.

Mallow meanwhile spoke with her father, Abe, and older brother, Ulu.

Mallow: Daddy! Ulu! Merry Christmas!

Abe: (smiles) Merry Christmas, dear.

Ulu: Are you behaving yourself?

Mallow: I sure have!

Abe: Well, I hope you'll have a wonderful time here in the Shlomlite Region.

Mallow: Thanks, Daddy. Hope you and Ulu are doing okay without me.

Ulu: Hey, don't worry about us, little sis.

Abe: Well, stay safe out there.

Mallow: (smiles) I will, Daddy.

Next, Sophocles could be seen talking with his mom and dad.

Sophocles: Hi Mommy and Daddy. Merry Christmas.

Sophocles's mother: (smiles) Oh, honey, thank you.

Sophocles's father: (smiles) Merry Christmas to you as well, son.

Sophocles: I made new friends here, too.

Sophocles's mother: Oh, that's lovely, dear.

Sophocles's father: I hope you'll have fun in the Shlomlite Region.

Sophocles: I know I will.

Finally, it was Gladion and Lillie's turn. They called their mother, Lusamine.

Lillie: Hello, Mother.

Gladion: How are things back home?

Lusamine: (smiles) Oh, Lillie, and Gladion. I'm so happy you found the time to call. Everything's going smoothly. And guess what.

Lillie: What, Mother?

Lusamine: I found the location of your father. Isn't that great?

Gladion: Wow. That's wonderful, Mother.

Lillie: Oh yes! Where is he?

Lusamine: He's in a castle in the Kalos Region.

Lillie: Does that mean you'll be going to see him soon?

Lusamine: Of course, sweetie.

Lillie: Oh I wish you and Father were here right now. (sighs sadly)

Lusamine: Aww… Don't worry, honey. Maybe Santa will pick us up. (winks)

Lillie: That'd be nice.

Gladion: Well, we hope you have a good Christmas, Mother.

Lusamine: I will, Gladion. Merry Christmas.

Lillie and Gladion: Merry Christmas!

Delia: Alright, who wants to help me cook some dinner?

Brock, Tracey, Cilan, and Mallow: (all together) I do!

Delia: Wonderful, come on then.

With that, Delia and Mimey led the four and their respective Pokémon into the kitchen. While Pikachu spent some time with Mama and Baby Kangaskhan, Ash and Serena could be seen standing out on the front porch of the cabin. Luckily they are wearing heavy coats.

Serena: Gosh, it's kinda pretty out here.

Ash: Yeah, it sure is. I wonder if it's gonna snow soon. What do you think?

Serena: It might. Anything's possible, right?

Ash: Right. (looks at the sky) Look at that star. Is it what I think it is?

Serena: What're you thinking?

Ash: I'm thinking this could be the Star of Bethlehem!

Serena looked up at the star Ash was pointing at.

Serena: You know, you could be right, Ash.

Suddenly, they heard a voice.

Voice: Char… Man… Der…

Serena: You hear that?

Ash: Yeah. I did.

They looked and saw a Charmander. Only this one looked smaller than Kiawe's Charmander.

Ash: Hey, this Charmander looks a lot like Kiawe's, only smaller.

Not only was he smaller, but this Charmander looked pretty weak and on the verge of collapse.

Serena: Oh no! I got you!

She and Ash ran and caught the Lizard Pokémon before he fell to the ground. Ash then saw the flame on Charmander's tail.

Ash: Uh oh, Charmander is gonna die soon. We've gotta get him inside, now!

Serena: Good thing we have a fireplace.

Picking up the small Lizard Pokémon, they brought Charmander inside. Gary and Daisy saw them coming in.

Gary: Ash? Serena?

Daisy: What's going on?

Ash: It's this Charmander. It's really weak!

These words drew Professor Oak's attention right away.

Professor Oak: A Charmander you say?

Serena: Yeah. Can you take a look, Professor?

Professor Oak: (comes over) Let me see.

Both kids handed over Charmander to the professor.

Ash: Can you help him?

Professor Oak: This Charmander needs to get warmed up at once.

Voice: A Charmander you say?

They looked and saw Kiawe and his Charmander.

Kiawe's Charmander: Hey, little guy. You okay?

Charmander: (weakly) Char…

Ash: We need to get him warmed up.

They then took Charmander over to the fireplace, while Professor Oak went to make something to build up the Lizard Pokémon's strength.

Tabitha: He needs an electric blanket.

Chespin: I'll go find one. (runs off)

While they waited, Ash sat with Charmander in his lap, close to the fire.

Ash: Don't die on me, Charmander.

Serena: Come on, keep your heart ablaze.

Before long, Chespin came back with an electric blanket for their new friend.

Chespin: Here it is.

Tabitha: Good work, Chespin.

She went to plug it in, and Chespin placed it on Charmander, with only his head and tail exposed.

Tabitha: There you go, Charmander.

Charmander: (smiling weakly) Char… Man…

Kiawe's Charmander looked at the newcomer with worry. Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Serena: I'll get it.

Ash: I'll come with you.

Daisy: Why don't you stay with Charmander, Ash? I'll go with her.

Ash: (looks at the weak Pokémon) Alright.

Daisy: Good.

Daisy and Serena then opened the door and saw a tan-colored boy with a Scorbunny, a girl with a female Eevee, and their babysitter.

Serena: Hello there. Who are you both?

Girl: (shyly) Um, hi. My name's Chloe. And this is my friend, Eevee.

Eevee: Eev.

Chloe: And this is Goh.

Goh: Hi, and this is my pal, Scorbunny.

Scorbunny: Scor!

Chloe: And this is our babysitter, Sonny.

Sonny: Hello, there. Got room for five more?

Daisy: Of course, come on in.

When the two kids, their Pokémon, and Sonny got inside, Serena closed the door behind them. Professor Oak meanwhile was feeding Charmander some medicine so the Lizard Pokémon could get his strength back.

Professor Oak: I know it doesn't taste very good, but it'll help you get better.

When Sonny took off his heavy coat, he was wearing a yellow-orange shirt, a pair of blue jeans, brown and albino hair, blue-violet eyes, and a pair of red converse shoes.

Sonny: Ahh… It's so good to get yourself warm by the fire, doesn't it, children?

Goh and Chloe took off their own heavy coats.

Goh: Oh yeah.

They then saw Ash with Charmander, as well as Professor Oak tending to the Lizard Pokémon.

Chloe: (gasps) What happened to Charmander?

Ash explained the story to the newcomers. It was then that Chloe realized something…

Chloe: Um, excuse me, sir. Are you Professor Oak?

Professor Oak: Well, yes, child. Why do you ask?

Chloe: I think my dad said he was a student of yours? His name is Professor Cerise.

Professor Oak: (smiles) That's correct, young lady. (pause) We'll talk later. Right now, we must get this Charmander back to full health.

Pikachu came over to Charmander.

Pikachu: (to Ash) Maybe if I give this Charmander Jesus's blessing, he can tell us why we found him like this.

Ash: Good idea, Pikachu.

Goh and Chloe gasped in surprise.

Chloe: Did you hear what I hear, Goh?

Goh: I must be hearing things. Pokémon can't talk.

Gary: (comes up) Well, Pikachu can. And he's not the only one, either.

Ash: That's right, Gary.

They then watched as Pikachu touched Charmander on the forehead.

Pikachu: (after a moment) Okay, Charmander. Can you try to speak now?

Charmander: (coughs) I-I think I-I c-can.

Pikachu: Easy now. Have some more of Professor Oak's medicine.

Charmander opened his mouth and allowed the Professor to feed him. Afterward, Charmander explained that he was abandoned by a Trainer who called him weak, saying that weak Pokémon don't deserve any sympathy.

Chloe: Why that's terrible!

Goh: Who would do such a thing?!

Charmander: I wandered the region for so long… I nearly gave up trying to find someone… Then I saw this place…

Serena: Oh my…

Lillie: Oh you poor dear. (sniffles)

Ash: Luckily, me and Serena found you.

Serena: And to think we wouldn't have if we didn't see that star.

Delia, on the other hand, heard what Ash and Serena had said.

Delia: Oh my goodness. What star?

Ash: The Star of Bethlehem, Mom. Just look outside.

Delia looked at the sky through a nearby window and she was amazed!

Delia: Oh my word! It's here already?

Grace joined her in looking out the window.

Grace: Ooh… It's so beautiful.

Professor Oak: Well, Charmander, perhaps your coming here was a blessing in disguise. Especially as it's Christmas Eve.

Charmander: T-Thanks, sir.

Samson: Don't try to talk now. You rest up.

Professor Oak: Samson's right. You've been through enough already.

Ash: If you need anything, just let me and Pikachu know, 'kay?

Pikachu: Yeah. You're in good hands.

Serena smiled as she saw this going on. Just then, Goh and Chloe thought of something. The two went over to Ash and Pikachu.

Ash: Hey, what's up?

Goh: Ash, we were wondering if our Pokémon can have Pikachu's blessing.

Chloe: Yes, please?

Scorbunny and Eevee nodded in agreement.

Ash: That's not a bad idea. Pikachu?

Pikachu: You two, step forward.

Scorbunny and Eevee did as the Electric Mouse Pokémon had instructed them to do. Then he touched them both on the foreheads.

Pikachu: I bless you in the Name of Jesus Christ. Now speak.

Scorbunny: Goh, can you understand what I'm saying?

Eevee: Chloe, can you?

Goh and Chloe were amazed!

Chloe: Yes! I understand you, Eevee!

Chloe gave Eevee a big hug.

Goh: Yeah! So can I, Scorbunny!

Goh and Scorbunny gave each other a high five. Ash smirks a little upon seeing this.

Ash: This blessing just keeps getting better and better.

Delia: I agree, honey. Especially for those who believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Pikachu: That's right! By the way, how's dinner coming along?

Ash: Oh, yeah. I forgot to ask, Mom.

Delia: (smiles) It'll be ready soon.

Ash: Okay, by the way, what can we do to pass the time?

Serena: Yeah, we should do something until dinner's ready.

Grace: How about you decorate the tree?

They looked and saw the tree still wasn't decorated.

Serena: Mommy's right. We should decorate the tree. Without it, it just doesn't feel like Christmas yet.

Ash: I think you're right.

Pikachu: Well, I'm all for helping out.

Fennekin: Me too.

Serena: Me three.

Ash: Who else wants to help out?

Goh: I do!

Chloe: So do I!

Lillie: And me! Is that okay, Gladion?

Gladion: Of course.

Lana: I'll help too.

Kiawe: Count me in.

Kiawe's Charmander: Go ahead, Kiawe. I'll watch over our friend here.

Kiawe's Charmander then sits next to Charmander.

Ash: Thanks.

Kiawe's Charmander: Hey, anything to help out a fellow Fire-type.

Pikachu: Alright, everyone. Let's get decorating!

With that, the kids and their Pokémon began decorating the tree.

Serena: Those ornaments looked very pretty.

Lillie: Let's start with them first.

Snowy: Good plan.

Pikachu: After that, we can put up the lights.

Scorbunny: Sounds good to me.

They began putting the ornaments on the tree.

Eevee: The tree is starting to look beautiful. (putting up a pink ornament) Isn't it, Chloe?

Chloe: (smiles) It sure is, Eevee.

Goh: Scorbunny, can you hand me that red one?

Scorbunny: Got it, Goh. (picks up a red ornament) Here ya go! (realizes, giggles) I just unintentionally made a rhyme.

Goh: (laughs) Good one, buddy.

Ash: So how did you and Scorbunny meet anyway?

Serena: Yeah, I thought Scorbunny lived in the Galar region.

Goh: Well, it's a long story.

Goh explained how he and Scorbunny met as they continued putting on ornaments.

Serena: Wow… What an incredible story, Goh.

Chloe also explained how she and Eevee met.

Chloe: I first met Eevee at my school back in Kanto. Her original owners said that she was unable to evolve no matter what they tried.

Ash: Whoa… An Eevee who couldn't evolve.

Serena: That's unusual.

Sure enough, the ornaments were hung.

Snowy: Now we can move on to the lights. Right, Lillie?

Lillie: Right!

They began putting the lights around the tree. When that was done, the only thing left to do was to put the star on top of the tree.

Ash: So, who wants to put the star on top?

May: I do. But I may need some help to reach the top.

Jasper: I'll help you.

May: Oh thank you, Jasper.

With that, Jasper picked up May with the Christmas star.

May: And… Done!

Dawn: Alright!

The lights were soon turned on.

Serena: Now it really feels like Christmas.

Ash: You said it, Serena!

Delia: Wow, the tree looks terrific, kids. Nice work.

Grace: Delia's right. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Ash: Thanks, Mom.

Serena: You too, Mommy.

Delia: You're welcome. Anyway, dinner's almost ready!

Sophocles: Alright! I'm starving. (rubs his belly)

Togedemaru: Ah, you're always hungry, Soffy.

Ash: I can't wait to start praying and eating.

Kiawe looked to see his Charmander still looking after the younger Charmander.

Kiawe: How's he doing?

Kiawe's Charmander: He's doing fine, Kiawe. Just a few more hours and he'll be back to normal.

Ash inspected the flame on the young Charmander's tail.

Serena: How's his flame going, Ash?

Ash: It's starting to burn brighter.

Samson: Looks like the medicine you're giving him is doing its work, Sam.

Professor Oak: Yes, indeed.

Kiawe's Charmander: You guys go on ahead. I'll stay and watch over our friend here.

Kiawe: Okay, Charmander. I'll be sure to bring some food over to you. (winks)

Kiawe's Charmander: Thanks, Kiawe.

At the dinner table, the food was all set up for everyone to enjoy. They each took a seat around the table.

Ash: Allow me, Serena.

Serena: (smiles) Thanks, Ash.

Kiawe: (grunts) There we go.

Soon everyone had taken a seat.

Daisy: So, who wants to lead the prayer?

Ash: I do.

They each held hands around the table.

Ash: Lord, we like to thank you for being with us today on Christmas Eve. Also, thank you for bringing some new friends to this cabin, and please help Gary Oak believe in your Word. Please bless the food to our bodies, and in Your Name, we pray, amen.

Others: Amen.

Delia: That was very good, honey.

Ash: Thank you, Mom.

With that, they each started eating.

Donzelle: How does it taste, Serena?

Serena: Mmm. Lovely.

Mallow: The food I just cooked is delicious.

Bounsweet: Guess helping your dad in the restaurant paid off.

Mallow: It sure did.

As they ate, the kids each expressed what they wanted to do while in the Shlomite Region.

Ash: So Mallow, what are you gonna do in the Shlomlite Region?

Mallow: Me and Pepper are going to do food ministries.

Cilan: Sounds like a plan.

Serena: What about you, Sophocles?

Sophocles: (gulps down some food) Well, Togedemaru and I are gonna do light shows for everyone.

Clemont: That sounds amazing. If you'd like, I can help with your light shows.

Sophocles: That'd be great!

Misty: How bout you, Lana?

Lana: Well… (takes a sip from her drink) I'm gonna baptize people.

Popplio: And I'm helping.

Misty: Well how about that. I'm doing the same thing. And hey, we both have similar tastes in Pokémon - we both prefer Water-types.

Lana: Hey, you're right.

Both girls laughed.

Misty: Hey, let's baptize people together, as honorary sisters of the sea. (offers a handshake)

Lana: Alright then. (gives her one)

Cascade smiled as Misty and Lana seemed to be getting along well.

Brock: So, Kiawe, what are you gonna do?

Kiawe: Well, I plan to teach people how to serve the One True Living God.

Brock: (smiles) Sounds like a plan to me.

Ash: Lillie, Gladion, what are your plans in this region?

Gladion: (smiles a little) Well, we're doing a medical ministry.

Serena: Really?

Lillie: (nods) Mm-hmm. And Nancy's helping us.

Nancy: That's correct.

Then Ash turned to Goh and Chloe.

Ash: What about you and Chloe, Goh? What're you two planning to do?

Chloe: Well, Goh and I are gonna sing praises to the Lord and spread His Word.

Goh: Yep, and see as many Pokémon as we can.

Ash realized he was doing the same thing with Pikachu.

Ash: Well, what do you know? Me and Pikachu are gonna do the same thing.

Pikachu: Totally.

Soon, the kids went back to eating dinner. At one point, Kiawe brought some food to both his Charmander and the young Charmander who was still sitting near the fireplace.

Kiawe: Here you guys.

Kiawe's Charmander: Thanks, Kiawe. (to Charmander) Here ya go, little buddy.

Charmander gladly accepted the food.

Charmander: Thanks.

Soon, dinner was finished. And everyone made their way to the living room, where the tree was still lit up.

Serena: It's so beautiful when it's all lit up like that.

Ash: Yeah, it sure is.

Pikachu and Fennekin nodded in agreement. Ash then noticed there were stockings hung by the fireplace.

Ash: Hey, guys, look!

Pikachu: What is it, Ash?

Ash: I see stockings by the fireplace. You do know what that means?

Everyone looked and saw the stockings.

Serena: Oh my gosh! That means Santa Claus is coming! (squeals)

May: Hear that, Max?

Max and Bonnie cooed happily.

Clemont: (amazed) So even Santa is real? Unbelievable.

Bonnie: Santa coming!

Max: Yay!

May: (chuckles) It looks like someone's excited for someone special.

Mama Kangaskhan: It seems that way.

Baby Kangaskhan was confused at first.

Baby Kangaskhan: What's she mean, Mama?

Mama Kangaskhan: She means Santa is coming to bring the kids some presents, sweetie.

Baby Kangaskhan: Big brother, who's Santa Claus?

Pikachu: Uh…

Ash: Let me take care of this, Pikachu.

Pikachu: Thanks, Ash.

Ash: Santa Claus is a special person who delivers toys to the children of the world at Christmas time. He checks his list to see who's naughty or nice. The only way you can get presents from him is you have to be good all year.

Serena: But if you're naughty, all he gives you is a big lump of coal.

Baby Kangaskhan: Oh my! Well, I hope I'm nice.

Pikachu smiled at his younger adopted sister.

Pikachu: Don't worry, little sis, I'm sure Santa knows you're nice.

Ash: He's right.

Gary: Well, you guys are likely to get presents. With what I've done, I doubt I'll get any.

Ash remembered the day at the beach. He started to feel sorry for his rival.

Ash: Mom, does this place have a hot tub?

Delia: Why do you ask, honey?

Ash: Well, I think Gary needs to be baptized in the Name of Jesus. Whaddya say, girls?

Delia then realized what Ash was talking about.

Delia: Oh, I get it. You're talking about the hot tub about the size of a swimming pool.

Ash nodded. Then he turned to look at Gary.

Ash: Gary… I believe I know a way you could receive presents.

Gary was confused, until sometime later they found themselves in the hot tub area.

Ash: Misty, Horsea, Lana, and Popplio, are you ready?

Misty: Yep.

Lana: As we'll ever be.

Horsea: Yes!

Popplio: Yes, sir.

Misty: Horsea…

Lana: Popplio…

Misty and Lana: Water Gun. But gently.

Horsea and Popplio: Got it. (both used Water Guns on Gary's head)

Misty: Gary, we baptize you…

Lana: In the Name of Jesus Christ.

Gary: Thanks, girls. And thank you, Ash.

Ash: Anything to help.

Gary: Now, let me get dried.

Daisy: You got it, little bro.

With that, Gary got himself dry and got back with the other kids. He was glad that he started believing in Jesus.

Max and Bonnie could be seen yawning.

May: It looks like someone's getting sleepy. (giggles)

Clemont: (chuckles) Same here.

Delia soon realized it was time for the kids to go to bed.

Delia: Come along, children. It's time for bed. You all want Santa to come, don't you?

Ash: (yawns) Mom's right, guys.

Goh: But me and Chloe haven't said Merry Christmas to our parents. Can we make this quick?

Chloe: Oh yes, please?

Professor Oak: Well, I suppose it would be alright. Besides, it'd be nice to talk with Cerise again.

Scorbunny: Great! Let's call them.

Goh called his parents, Camille and Walker, and his maternal grandmother, Halta.'

Goh: Hi Mom and Dad, hi Grandma. Merry Christmas.

Scorbunny: Yeah, Merry Christmas!

Walker, Halta, and Camille were surprised to see Goh's Scorbunny talking like a person.

Halta: How on earth did that happen?

Goh: It's simple. My new friend, Ash Ketchum, and his Pikachu performed a miracle on Scorbunny.

Camille: A miracle?

Goh: It was a blessing from Jesus Christ.

Halta: (interested) Really, now?

Scorbunny: That's right.

Walker: Well, congratulations to you, Scorbunny.

Scorbunny: Thank you, Mr. Walker.

Walker chuckles.

Camille: Well, we hope you and Chloe are having a good time.

Goh: Of course, Mom, we're having a grand time here.

Halta: (smiles) Oh that's wonderful.

Goh: I sure hope we talk again tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas.

Goh's family: Merry Christmas, Goh!

Then it was Chloe's turn to talk to her family - her father, Professor Cerise; her mother, Talia; and her baby brother, Parker.

Chloe: Hi, Mommy and Daddy, Merry Christmas.

Eevee: Yes, Merry Christmas.

Talia: (surprised) My goodness. Is your Eevee talking?

Chloe: That's right, Mommy.

Professor Cerise: This is extraordinary!

Chloe: It was my new friend's Pikachu that made her talk because of a blessing from Jesus.

Talia: As in Jesus Christ?

Chloe: (nods) Yep. Anyway, how's my little brother?

Talia: (smiles, picks up Parker) See for yourself, dear.

Chloe: Hello, Parker, how are you tonight?

Parker coos and babbles happily upon seeing Chloe on the screen.

Chloe: (giggles) He sure looks excited, doesn't he?

Professor Cerise: (chuckles) He sure does.

Chloe: (yawns) Well, it's time for me to get ready for bed. Goodnight, Mommy, and Daddy. Goodnight, Parker.

Talia: Goodnight, dear. (high voice as Parker) Goodnight, Chloe.

Professor Cerise: Have a Merry Christmas, honey.

Chloe: I will. You too. (winks)

As Chloe left, Professor Oak came to the screen just as Talia was putting Parker to bed.

Professor Oak: It's nice to see you and your family are doing well, Cerise.

Professor Cerise: (smiles) Thanks, Professor.

As Chloe left so her father could talk with Professor Oak, she, Goh, and their Pokémon joined the others in getting ready for bed. As Ash and his friends got into their pajamas, they went to the bathroom in a single file line to take turns brushing their teeth.

Ash: Are you excited as I am, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Oh yeah. I'm especially glad to spend it with our families, humans or Pokémon.

Ash smiled, as he knew that Pikachu meant him, his mother Delia, and Mama and Baby Kangaskhan.

Ash: I hope Mom can read us the First Christmas Story.

As soon as everyone was ready, Delia could be seen in her nightgown with a book.

Delia: (smiles and sits down) Alright kids, are you ready to hear the very first Christmas?

Kids and Pokémon: Yes, please!

Delia: (smiles) Okay, here we go. (opens the book) A long time ago, in a country called Israel, in the town of Nazareth, there was a young woman named Mary.

She showed the kids pictures that went with the book as she read it to them.

Delia: One day, she was doing her family chores in her house with her mother and father, Anne and Joachim. When suddenly…

She showed a picture of an angel named Gabriel appearing before Mary.

Delia: An angel named Gabriel came to visit Mary. Mary was afraid because she was seeing an angel for the first time. But Gabriel said to the woman, "Don't be afraid, Mary. I am Gabriel, the Herald Archangel and I have amazing news for you." Mary was confused. "News? For me?"

"That's right, God has chosen from all the women of the whole world to be the mother of his Son," Gabriel replied. "You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and you will name the baby Jesus. God will give him the throne of his ancestor David and he will rule over the descendants of Jacob forever."

Serena: Ooh…

Delia smiled as she continued.

Delia: Mary said to the angel, "How can this happen? I am not married yet." But Gabriel replied, "With God, anything is possible. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and you will be overshadowed by the power of the Highest God. For nothing is impossible with God." Mary smiled and she said faithfully, "I am the Lord's servant, and may it be done to me as you have said." Then Gabriel left and disappeared.

Clemont: Wow, an angel of the Lord.

Delia nodded before continuing the story.

Delia: Mary loved a man named Joseph, who was a carpenter and a descendant of King David. One night, Gabriel came to Joseph in a dream.

She showed them the picture of Joseph and Gabriel.

Delia: Gabriel said to Joseph, "Joseph, God has great and wonderful plans for you and Mary. The Holy Spirit has made her pregnant and she will give birth to a son and you name the baby king, Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." When Joseph woke up, he obeyed Gabriel's command and took Mary as his wife.

Lillie: Aww….

Snowy: Young love.

Delia smiled before continuing.

Delia: Now, it was right about this time that Caesar Augustus, an emperor of the Roman Empire, wanted to count the people and tell them to go back to their hometowns. So Joseph had to take Mary to Bethlehem, the Town of David. When they arrived in Bethlehem the streets were crowded with people. Joseph tried to look for a place for his wife and the baby to sleep, but all the inns were full. Finally, an innkeeper was able to help them. He said, "I do not have any rooms left, but there's a stable for you to keep warm." He sent his wife and son to lead them the way. In the stable, there were lots of animals. Cows, goats, chickens, mice, and doves. The donkey also found a place to sleep in the stable.

She showed them the pictures of the animals in the stable.

Tabitha: That's a lot of animals. Right Chespin?

Chespin: Right, Tabitha. Hard to believe there was a time before Pokémon even came along.

Delia could be heard clearing her throat.

Chespin: (sheepishly) Sorry.

Delia merely smiled before continuing.

Delia: While Mary and Joseph were in the stable, Little Baby Jesus was born!

Then she showed the picture of Baby Jesus in the manger.

Iris: Aww…

Serena: He's adorable.

Fennekin: He sure is.

Delia: (smiles) Mary and Joseph wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a stone manger. On that same night, some shepherds were watching their sheep outside of the Town of Bethlehem. Suddenly, a bright light shone all around them. It was Gabriel and a whole choir of angels. When they saw the angels, they were petrified. But Gabriel said to them, "Don't be afraid, shepherds. I have brought the good news that will bring great joy to all people."

She showed the picture of the angels appearing before the shepherds before continuing.

Delia: The shepherds were confused about what the angel was talking about. Gabriel explained, "Tonight in the Town of Bethlehem, the Son of God is born. He is Christ the Lord. The king that comes from God. His name is Jesus, and he is wrapped snugly in a manger." Then the angel choir began to sing, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Then Gabriel and the choir went back to Heaven. The shepherds said to each other, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see what the angel was talking about." So they did.

She showed them the picture of the shepherds going to Bethlehem.

Delia: When the shepherds found Mary, Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger, they worshiped him and told the young couple about what the angel told them. Then they went into the streets and told everyone that Jesus was born. When everyone heard the news from the shepherds, they went to the stable and worshiped him too.

Then she showed the picture of the nativity.

Dawn: That was beautiful.

Delia: (smiles) From the East came three Magi, who followed a star that was brighter than the others. This means that the Savior has been born and that star is a sign from God.

Serena: The Star of Bethlehem?

Ash realized it was the same star that night on Christmas Eve. And that the same star helped him and Serena see Charmander.

Ash: Serena, it was the same star that helped us see Charmander and his health.

Serena: (realizes) Oh my gosh. You're right.

Delia smiled before she continued.

Delia: Their names were Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar. When they finally reached Bethlehem, they brought gifts for Baby Jesus. Melchior gave him Gold, a gift for a king, Gaspar gave him Frankincense, a gift for a priest, and Balthazar gave him Myrrh, a gift for a savior. Then they worshiped him gladly. Everyone in Bethlehem rejoiced and thanked God for sending them his one and only son. The new king of the world. The end.

The kids and Pokémon all clapped.

Serena: Ash, your mom's a great storyteller.

Ash: She sure is, Serena. (to Delia) Mom, thank you for telling us about the First Christmas.

Delia: (smiles) It was my pleasure, my dears. Right now, it's time to go to sleep, and don't worry, I've left some cookies and milk for Santa, and some carrots for his eight Wyrdeer and Rudolph.

Pikachu: Wyrdeer? Rudolph?

Mama Kangaskhan: They're the evolved form of the Big Horn Pokémon, Stantler. And Rudolph is a red-nosed Stantler.

Delia: I'll tell you the story about him another day. (winks) Goodnight, Ash. (kisses him on the forehead)

Ash: (returns the kiss) G'night, Mom. Love you. (yawns)

Delia: (smiles) I love you, too.

Grace: Goodnight, Serena. (kisses her) Have nice dreams tonight.

Serena: I will, Mommy. (yawns) Goodnight. Love you.

Grace: (smiles) Love you, too, sweetie.

Fennekin made herself comfortable next to Serena as they both closed their eyes, while Pikachu slept next to Ash.

Baby Kangskhan was already asleep in Mama Kangaskhan's pouch.

Mama Kangaskhan: Goodnight, baby. (pets her on the head) Merry Christmas.

Sure enough, the kids were fast asleep in their sleeping bags. Delia and Grace smiled before leaving the living room. They were also tired and went to their bedrooms.

As Delia slept, she had no way of knowing an unexpected guest entered her room through the window. It was a girl Litten, a Fire Cat Pokémon. Shivering a bit, she saw Mimey and Mama Kangaskhan sleeping close by. Then she saw Delia sound asleep in bed. Seeing no other option, the Fire Cat Pokémon jumped up at the foot of the bed, making sure the human didn't wake up herself. Then Litten made herself comfortable before going to sleep as well.

Litten: (sighs happily)

To Litten, this was the best thing that could've happened to her. She had been out on the streets for a while and wanted more than anything to sleep in a warm place. And tonight, it seemed her wish was granted.

Outside in the starry silent night sky, sleigh bells can be heard from out of nowhere. Before long, a red light could be seen. It was none other than Rudolph the Red-Nosed Stantler. He was leading the way with the Wyrdeer - Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. They were pulling the sleigh that belongs to Jolly old St. Nick.

Before long, the sleigh landed on the roof. As Santa got off, he grabbed his magic bag and went down the chimney. As he made it down, Santa looked at all the kids and their Pokémon sleeping peacefully. He chuckled quietly before he went to work. First, he ate the cookies and drank the milk. Next, he went to his bag and grabbed each present for the kids and their Pokémon and placed them under the tree. Finally, he filled each stocking with goodies.

When that was done, he petted the sleeping Charmander on the head before he grabbed his bag and went up the chimney. As soon as he got back to his flying Big Horn Pokémon, he fed them the carrots, placed his bag back in the sleigh, and hopped back in.

Santa Claus: Onward, my friends!

As the Wyrdeer and Rudolph took flight, Santa's jolly laughter could be heard in the night sky.

Santa Claus: Ho-ho-ho! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Goodnight!

As Santa left, snowflakes started to fall. It looked like it was going to be a White Christmas. As the sun slowly started to rise on Christmas, the kids and their Pokémon were still asleep.

In Delia's room, the sun shone through the window, waking Litten up.

Litten: (yawns) Lit-ten.

The Fire Cat Pokémon stretched out her body and looked to see the woman in the bed was still asleep. She decided to go over and lick the woman's cheek to see if she would wake up.

Delia was still asleep, but not for long. Litten's tongue was tickly and she began to giggle a bit.

Delia: Hey, that tickles, stop it.

As Litten stopped licking her cheek, Delia slowly began to open her eyes. When she woke up she was surprised to see Litten in her bedroom.

Delia: Why, hello, there. You must have snuck in here to get out of the cold, didn't you?

Litten: (nods) Lit.

When she looked out of the window, Delia soon realized it was Christmas!

Delia: (yawns and stretches) Well, it's time to get up.

Mimey and Mama Kangaskhan were just waking up as well.

Delia: (turns around) Well, good morning, you two.

Mimey: (yawns) Morning.

Mama Kangaskhan: (yawns) Well, I had a good sleep. (looks down to Baby Kangaskhan) Time to wake up, little one. (gently nudging her baby)

Meanwhile, Ash and Pikachu were still asleep when the sunlight reached them and woke them up. As he stretched himself, Ash saw that Charmander was standing next to them.

Ash: (smiles) Well, you made it through the night, didn't ya, Charmander?

Charmander: (nods) Uh-huh. Sure did.

Ash: (pets Charmander) Well, guess that means you're gonna be okay, now.

Pikachu: (stretches) Morning, you two.

Ash: Good morning, Pikachu.

Charmander: Ash, I did some thinking last night as I went to sleep.

Ash: Yeah?

Charmander: Well…. Would you let me join you and Pikachu? Please? After you've been so kind to me, I'd like to be able to help sing the praises of the Son of God.

Ash: Of course, you can.

Pikachu: We'd be glad to have you join us.

The Lizard Pokémon smiled as it looked like he finally found a Trainer who really cared for him. Just then, Serena and Fennekin could be seen waking up.

Ash: Good morning, Serena.

Pikachu: Good morning, Fennekin.

Ash, Pikachu, and Charmander: Merry Christmas.

Serena and Fennekin: Merry Christmas.

Serena: Why, Charmander, you're okay.

Charmander: (smiles) Sure am. Ash is letting me join him and Pikachu, too.

Voice: That's great, kiddo.

They looked and saw Kiawe's Charmander stretching as he woke up himself.

Charmander: Oh, yeah. Thanks for looking out for me.

Kiawe's Charmander: No problem.

As Ash was feeling glad that Charmander was back to normal, he saw the presents underneath the tree.

Ash: Look, guys! Santa came.

Serena: And he left us goodies in our stockings.

Ash: And he ate the cookies and drank the milk!

Fennekin: And took the carrots for Rudolph and the Wyrdeer, too.

Pikachu: Ash, let's wake everybody up and tell them Santa came.

Ash: Yes, let's. Come on, Serena.

Serena: Right behind ya, Ash.

Fennekin: Wait up, guys.

So Ash, Pikachu, Serena, Fennekin, and two Charmanders went to wake up the other kids and Pokémon.

Ash went up to Brock and shook him gently.

Ash: Brock, wake up. It's Christmas Morning!

Brock: (snorts, drowsily) Huh? It's morning?

Ash: That's right! Santa came!

Kiawe's Charmander: Wake up, Kiawe!

Kiawe: A few more minutes, Mom.

Kiawe's Charmander: Kiawe, it's Christmas!

Suddenly, Kiawe shot straight up.

Kiawe: Christmas?!

Kiawe's Charmander: That's right, amigo.

Kiawe: Oh boy, I can't wait to open my present.

One by one, the other kids and Pokémon woke up.

Lillie: Gladion, can you believe this? Santa brought us presents.

Gladion: (smiles) He sure did, little sister.

May: Are you ready to start opening your present, Max?

Max: (coos excitedly)

Misty: I can't wait to see what Santa brought me this year.

Grace came into the living room and could see how excited the children seemed to be.

Grace: Well, well, it looks like you kids are ready to start Christmas morning, aren't you? (chuckles)

Serena: Mommy, what did Santa bring me?

Grace: (smirks) Guess you'll have to find out, dear.

Just then, Delia came downstairs, followed by Litten, Mimey, and the Kangaskhan mother and baby.

Delia: Good morning, everyone. Who is ready for breakfast?

Ash: (smiles) Morning, Mom.

Pikachu: Good morning, Mrs. Ketchum. Mama. Baby. And Mimey.

Then they noticed Litten standing next to Delia's bare legs.

Grace: Well, where'd you come from?

Mimey: She came into Delia's room last night.

Litten: (nods) Lit-ten.

Professor Oak: (comes up) Well, looks like we have another friend for Christmas.

Samson: Yeah. And it's a Litten.

Ash: A Litten?

Kiawe: It's a Pokémon from the Alola Region.

Samson: Yes, and one of the three Starter Pokemon in Alola, along with Popplio here. (points to Lana's Popplio)

Professor Oak: And Rowlet is the last starter. (shows them pictures on his Rotom Phone)

Ash: Wow! That's so cool. Guess you have a new friend, Mom.

Delia looked down at Litten who was snuggling up against her bare ankle and seemed to think about what her son had said.

Delia: (smiles) I think you're right, honey. (looks down, pauses) I think I'll call you "Littie".

The newly named Littie purred happily as she continued rubbing herself against Delia's bare legs.

Ash: I think she loves it, Mom.

Delia: I think you're right, dear. (clears her throat) So, who wants breakfast?

Kids and Pokémon: We do!

And with that, Delia, Cascade, and Grace started to make breakfast for everyone. When they were done, they sat at the table and said a prayer.

Delia: Jesus, we would like to thank You as we celebrate this special birthday on Christmas Day. We would also like to thank everyone who came to spend time together. Please bless this food to our bodies, in your Name we pray, amen.

Others: Amen.

Ash: I'd also like to thank You, Lord, for bringing Charmander back to full health. I promise to love him as much as I love Pikachu, my friends, and my family.

Delia: Aww… That was beautiful, Ash.

Ash: Thanks, Mom. Guess we both got some nice new Pokémon friends, didn't we? Me with Pikachu and Charmander, and you with Mama and Baby Kangaskhan, and even Littie.

Delia: (nods) We certainly have. And you got other new friends, too. And I couldn't be happier.

Professor Oak: Well, they say God works in mysterious ways.

Delia: That's right, Professor.

Samson: And they say Christmas is a time for miracles and faith.

Pikachu: That's true. If we hadn't been here last night, who knows what might've happened to Charmander.

Charmander: (scratches back of his head) Yeah. And I'm thankful for that.

Ash: You sure are, Charmander. (chuckles) Now, let's eat.

Sophocles: I'm all for that. I'm starving!

Everyone chuckled and began eating their Christmas breakfast. After they had their meal, they went over to the tree to open some presents that Santa left.

Ash: I'm ready to open my present, how about you, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Oh yeah! And it's only my first Christmas, too.

Ash: That's great, buddy!

Soon, the kids sat down on top of their sleeping bags and got ready to open their presents. Ash went first.

Ash: I wonder what Santa left me? (opens his present) Oh my gosh! It's a Charizard figurine and a whole set of Psalty CDs! Awesome!

Charmander: Nice! I'd like to be a Charizard myself someday.

Pikachu: One day, you will, Charmander. Now it's my turn. (opens his present) Whoa, It's a collection of Psalty books and a Psalty hat. Sweet!

Charmander: (opens his present) Holy Miltank! It's a headband. (tries it on) A perfect fit. Whatcha think, guys?

Pikachu: It looks great on you, buddy.

The two Pokémon gave each other a high-five.

Kiawe: Well, at least we can tell which Charmander is which. Right, buddy?

Kiawe's Charmander: Right.

Misty: Time to open my gift. (opens her present) Wow, it's a dancing ribbon! Let's see. (begins to twirl around) Did I dance well, Mom?

Cascade: (smiles) That was wonderful, honey.

Misty: Thanks, Mom. Now it's your turn, Horsea!

Horsea: Okay. (opens her present) Aww, how cute! It's a tutu.

Misty: Here, I'll help ya put it on.

Misty put the tutu around Horsea's midsection.

Misty: There!

Horsea: Thanks. Whaddaya think?

Misty: I think you look cute!

Horsea: (blushing) Aw, thanks.

Misty: You're welcome.

Then it was Brock's turn to open his present.

Brock: I can't wait to see what it is. (opens his present) Aye caramba! It's a sombrero and a pair of maracas! (shakes them a bit) Ole!

Tabitha: (giggles) You look incredible, Brock.

Brock blushes a bit.

Brock: Thank you, Tabitha!

Vulpix: Ahem. Isn't it time for my present, next?

Onix: (peeks into window) Mine too.

Brock: Oh right. (chuckles) Vulpix, you go first.

Vulpix: (smiles) Thank you, Brock. (opens her present) Oh my goodness. It's a scarf! I love it. Brock, would you help me put this on?

Brock: Sure thing. (helps put it on)

Vulpix: How do I look?

Brock: Very cute.

Tabitha: Oh I agree. Now it's your turn, Onix.

Brock: Right. (hands out the present) Here ya go, old friend.

Onix: Thanks, old friend. (uses his mouth to open the present) Wow! It's a hula hoop! Let me give it a try. (begins to twirl it with his tail) Oh yeah!

Then it was Tracey's turn.

Tracey: (opens his present) Wow! A new box of colored pencils!

Marill: It's my turn now. (opens her present) Whoa, it's a sunhat. Let me try it on. (puts it on her head) Do I look wonderful, Tracey?

Tracey: (smiles) You certainly do, Marill.

Marill: Thank you, Tracey.

Next, it was May and Max's turn.

Skitty: Thanks!

May: Now, Max, let's see what Santa gave you. (gives Max his present) Go ahead, Max.

Max opened his gift. It was a pair of Ralts slippers just right for his cute little feet! Max cooed and giggled happily.

Dawn: They sure do, May. It's my turn to open mine now. (opens her present) Oh my gosh! It's a purse, I love it!

Piplup: That's great, Dawn.

Dawn: Thank you, Piplup. Time to open yours.

Piplup: Okay, (opens his present) Whoa! It's a jump rope! Hey Dawn, let's try it!

Dawn: May, feel like helping out?

May: Gladly.

Both girls took both ends of the jump rope.

Dawn: Ready, Piplup?

Piplup: Ready!

Dawn: May, are you ready?

May: Totally!

Dawn: Ready, set, jump!

The girls began skipping the rope as Piplup began jumping.

Dawn: Great jumping, Piplup!

Piplup: Thanks!

Buneary: May I join in?

Piplup: Go ahead, Buneary.

With that, Buneary began jumping with Piplup. After all that jumping, it was Buneary's turn.

Pansage: That's great, Cilan!

Cilan: Thank you, Pansage. Now let's see what Santa brings you.

Dwebble: Not bad, guys. Time to open mine. (opens his present) It's a chef's hat! Only smaller. Amazing! Let me try it on. (puts it on his head) How do I look?

Cilan: You look stylish.

Pansage: I agree.

Up next are the Kalos Kids. Serena was the first.

Serena: I wonder what Santa brought me? (opens her gift) It's a princess outfit! (squeals) I've gotta try this on. I'll be right back!

Serena went to the bathroom to put on that princess outfit. After looking at herself in the mirror, she came back out to show everyone, even though her nightgown is under the princess outfit.

Serena: (models her outfit) Well, what do you guys think?

Ash was awestruck by Serena's outfit.

Ash: Serena, you look beautiful and lovely.

Serena: (smiles and blushes) You really think so?

Ash: I know so!

Fennekin: Absolutely.

Serena: Oh thank you.

Serena embraced both Ash and Fennekin in a hug.

Ash: You're welcome.

Fennekin: Now, time to open my present. (opens her present) It's a tiara. How cute! (puts it on) Serena, do you think I look cute?

Clemont helps his little sister in opening her present.

Clemont: Aww… It's a pair of Jigglypuff slippers.

Bonnie: Yay! (giggles)

Clemont: Here, let me help you put these on. (helps Bonnie put on her slippers) There, you look so cute.

Bonnie: (coos happily)

The kids from Alola are up next. First was Lana.

Lana: Wow, my present sure is long. Let's see what it is. (opens it) It's a fishing pole!

Popplio: That's great, Lana.

Lana: Thanks, Popplio. Your present looks quite round.

Popplio: Yeah. Wonder what it is? (opens her gift) Wow, it's a ball and it's perfect for balancing.

With that, Popplio began balancing her new ball on the end of her nose.

Lana: (claps) Wow, great job, Popplio.

Popplio: (giggles) Thanks.

Next was Kiawe and his Charmander.

Kiawe: I wonder what it could be? (opens his present) Cool, it's a Turtonator figure.

Kiawe's Charmander: Nice, Kiawe. Now it's my turn. (opens his present) Whoa! It's a pair of gloves with a flame symbol. (tries them on) Don't they look great, Kiawe?

Kiawe: They sure do, Charmander. Now we'll really be able to tell you and Ash's Charmander apart.

Kiawe's Charmander: Totally. (giggles)

Next was Mallow.

Mallow: It looks kinda wide for a present. (opens her present, gasps) It's a salad bowl!

Bounsweet: Nice! Now for mine. Uh, Mallow? Could you help me?

Mallow then realized Bounsweet had no hands or feet to open her present with.

Mallow: Oh sure, Bounsweet. (opens Bounsweet's present)

Bounsweet: Oh my goodness. It's a hairband!

Mallow helps put it on.

Mallow: There.

Bounsweet: Thanks, Mallow. Do you like it?

Mallow: I love it!

Bounsweet: (smiles) Aw, thanks.

Next, it was Sophocles's turn.

Sophocles: Oh boy, I can't wait to find out what it is! (opens his gift) Wow! It's a computer.

Togedemaru: Aw, that's great, Soffy.

Sophocles: Thanks, Togedemaru.

Togedemaru: Now it's my turn! (opens her present) Wow. It's a spinning wheel. I gotta try it out! (gets on)

She began running inside the spinning wheel.

Sophocles: Wow, Togedemaru! (giggles) Look at you run!

Togedemaru: (giggles) This is so much fun! (realizes she unintentionally made a rhyme, giggles)

Sophocles: Good one!

Next was Lillie.

Lillie: Gladion, what did Santa bring me?

Gladion: Only way to find out is to open it.

Lillie: Alright. (opens her present) Wow! It's a book on Alola's heroes! (she shows it to Gladion, Snowy, and Lillipup)

Snowy: It looks great!

Lillie: Thanks, Snowy. Your turn, now.

Snowy: Okay. (opens her present) Aww… It's a cute toboggan.

Lillie: You can try it out later on with the other Pokémon if you'd like.

Snowy: Y'know, I think I will.

Lillie: Now it's your turn, big brother.

Gladion: Indeed it is. (opens his present) Whoa! It's a hoodie with a cross on it. (tries it on over his PJs) What do you think?

Lillie: You look astounding, Gladion.

Lillipup: I concur, my friend.

Gladion: Thank you. Now it's your turn, Lillipup.

Lillipup: Okay. (opens his present) Awesome! It's a doggie rope! (begins playing with it) Isn't this great?

Gladion and Lillie giggle at the Puppy Pokémon. Next, it was Tabitha's turn.

Tabitha: I wonder what it could be. (opens her gift) Oh, my word! It's a first aid kit and a nurse's hat! (tries on the hat) I can really begin training to be a nurse with this.

Chespin: I'm sure you will, Tabitha. Now it's my turn. (opens his gift) Cool! It's a stethoscope.

Chespin put it on and began listening to Tabitha's heartbeat.

Tabitha: (laughs) Is my heartbeat healthy, Dr. Chespin?

Chespin: Yes, it is, indeed, Nurse Tabitha.

Both Trainer and Pokémon giggled. Up next are Goh and Chloe.

Goh: (opens his present) Cool, it's a cross necklace. (puts it on) Scorbunny, do I look wonderful?

Scorbunny: It looks good on ya.

Goh: Thanks, pal.

Scorbunny: (opens his gift) Cool, it's a soccer ball! Hey Goh, heads up! (kicks it to his partner)

Goh: Got it!

Delia: Hey, you two. If you're going to play with that ball, do it outside.

Goh and Scorbunny: Sorry about that.

Chloe: (giggles) My turn now. (opens her present) Oh my gosh! It's a cross bracelet. (tries it on) What do you think, Eevee?

Eevee: Oooh, I like it! My turn! (opens her present) How lovely, It's a red ribbon.

Chloe: Here, I'll help put it on. (ties the ribbon up) There! You look magnificent.

Eevee: (smiles) Thanks, Chloe.

Finally, it was Gary's turn as he opened his present.

Gary: A Poké Ball? (opens it) An Umbreon!

Umbreon: Umbre!

Gary: So Santa did give me a present after all.

Daisy: Sure looks that way, little bro.

Gary: Ash, I want to say thank you for helping me believe in Jesus.

Ash: (smiles) You're welcome, Gary.

Suddenly, a bright light shined all around them. It was Jesus Christ!

Jesus: Did someone mention me?

The Alola Kids, Goh, Chloe, and Gary were surprised to see the Son of God, as were the babysitters, and adults in the room.

Delia: (in awe) My goodness…

Cascade: I don't believe it…

Grace: And yet, here He is.

Professor Oak and Samson: Remarkable…

Lillie: Oh my word!

Chloe: Oh my gosh…

Goh: What in the world?!

Gladion: Whoa…

Kiawe: Wow…

Sophocles: Cool.

Lana and Mallow: Amazing!

Gary: Is it really You?

Jesus: What do you think, my boy?

Gary touched His hands with his own.

Gary: (gasps) It is You!

Jesus: That's right, Gary and I'm proud of you for believing in Me on my birthday.

Gary: You are?

Jesus: (nods) Indeed I am. You decided to believe, to follow Me on Christmas and learn about my birth on the very first Christmas. It's a scripture found in the Book of Luke.

Gary: For me? To learn?

Jesus: That is correct.

Gary: Alright, what's the scripture then?

Jesus: In the Book of Luke, it says, "and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."

Gary: Are you talking about Mary?

Just then another light shines around them, a young woman who has dark hair, and brown eyes, wearing a dark sky blue sash, and has a light over her head.

Woman: That's right, Gary.

Serena: Whoa…

Ash: Mary? Is that you?

Woman: (smiles) That's correct, young man. I am Mary, the Earthly Mother of Jesus.

Jesus: Hello, Mother.

Both Jesus and Mary embraced each other in a hug.

Serena: What are you doing here, Mary? I mean, not that we're not happy to see you… (blushes with embarrassment)

Mary: (smiles, pats Serena's head) It's alright, child.

Ash: Mary, I can't believe you're here for Christmas.

Mary: Of course, Ash.

Pikachu: Mary, are you the mother of Jesus?

Mary smiled down at the Electric Mouse Pokémon, giving him a scratch under the chin.

Mary: Yes I am, Pikachu. I also see that my son has blessed you since the beginning of your ministry.

Pikachu: You've been watching your son?

Mary: Of course.

Pikachu: Wow…

The Alola Kids, Goh, and Chloe went to Jesus.

Chloe: Wow! I'm seeing Jesus, the Son of the True Living God!

Goh: Me too.

Mallow: Whoa, you are Mr. Miracle.

Jesus chuckled at this.

Kiawe: I can see your nail scars.

Gladion: Me too.

Lillie: You look just like a king.

Jesus smiled at Lillie's compliment.

Sophocles: You seem very nice, Jesus.

Jesus: Thank you, Sophocles.

Lana: You sure have a lot of faith in your Heavenly Father, don't you?

Jesus: Actually, my Father is faithful to Me.

Mallow: Wow…

Ash: Jesus, we just wanted to say Happy Birthday.

Jesus: Thank you, Ash. And a good job in bringing Charmander back to health.

Ash: Thanks and you're welcome.

Mary then went over to Ash and Serena.

Mary: Ash, Serena?

Ash and Serena: Yes, Mary?

Mary: Please, take good care of each other.

Ash and Serena looked at each other, and then back at Mary.

Ash: Mary, you can count on me.

Serena: And me, too.

Mary: (smiles) I'm proud of you two. (embraces them in a hug)

Ash and Serena: (hugging her back) Thank you, Mary.

Jesus: Come, Mother, we must go now.

Mary: Yes, my dear.

Jesus: Goodbye, my young friends.

Gary: Will I see You again someday?

Jesus: Of course, you will. Be sure to go with Ash.

Gary: Go? With Ash?

Jesus: That's correct. And remember, have faith. Always. (waves goodbye and He and Mary disappeared)

Gary and others: Whoa…

As soon as Jesus and Mary were gone, Pikachu saw something outside the window.

Pikachu: Hey, guys, look! (points) It's snowing.

One by one, the kids looked out the window.

Ash: Hey, you're right, Pikachu.

Iris: Oh boy. (shudders a little)

Snowy: What's wrong with her?

Axew: Iris doesn't like the cold very much.

Snowy: Oh, I see.

Delia: It's alright, Iris. You don't have to do anything you don't want to.

Iris: The cold gives me the shivers. (shudders)

Charmander: Ash, if it's alright with you, if you guys wanna go out and play, I think I'd rather stay in and keep Iris and Axew company. I mean, I know Dragon-types are weak to the cold, and I'm still recovering from my cold ordeal…

Ash: It's okay, Charmander.

And so, the kids and their Pokémon went to get their winter clothes, ready to play in the snow. While Iris and Axew stayed close to the fire with Charmander. After quite some time, everyone was ready to continue on their journey through Shlomlite.

Gary: So, Daisy, are you okay with me coming along?

Daisy: Aw, sure. I was actually starting to kinda miss you, anyway. (noogies Gary)

Gary: (laughs) Hey!

The Oak siblings laughed as Professor Oak and Samson watched them.

Samson: (chuckles) You got good kids, Samuel.

Professor Oak: I sure do, cousin.

Ash: Goodbye Mom. I'll see you when I get home. (hugs her)

Delia: (hugs back) I'm sure we'll see each other again soon, honey.

Baby Kangaskhan: I wish you didn't have to go, big brother. (hugs Pikachu, sniffling a little)

Pikachu: Don't worry, little sis, I'll be back. I promise.

Mama Kangaskhan: I know we will. (hugs both her child and Pikachu)

Littie: See you later, Charmander.

Charmander: You too, Littie.

Delia: Oh, I almost forgot. Ash, I have a friend named Spencer Hale.

Ash: Oh?

Professor Oak: Ah yes, he was a classmate of your mother's.

Ash: Really? Is there anything special about him that I should know?

Delia: Actually, there is. His wife Eliza just had a baby a few months ago.

Ash: Really? Well, that's great, but why tell me all this now?

Delia: Because Spencer and his wife are going on vacation in Praise Town in the Shlomlite Region.

Ash: In Praise Town? Hey, Brock, any idea where it is on the map?

Brock: Well, let's see. (brings up the Town Map) Well, according to the map, we should be there in about 14 days.

Ash: Did Mr. and Mrs. Hale say when they'd come, Mom? I wanna know in case we happen to run into them there. Especially if they're friends of yours.

Delia: (smiles) In three weeks.

Daisy: In other words, we'll be there before they even arrive. If there aren't any delays, of course. Right, Grandpa?

Professor Oak: That's right, dear. And actually Ash, Spencer goes by Professor Hale. He's a Pokémon Professor in his own right.

Ash: Oh, gotcha, Professor. (winks)

Pikachu: Uh, is the baby a boy or a girl?

Delia: (giggles) You'll just have to wait and see, Pikachu.

Pikachu: Oh, okay.

Grace: Bye-bye, Serena. Take care on your journey.

Serena: I will, Mommy.

Misty: See you later, Mom.

Cascade: Have fun, honey.

Narrator: Miracles always happen on Christmas, especially with your family and friends. With Gary now believing in Jesus, the Alola Kids, Goh, and Chloe joining them, our little heroes' journey in Shlomlite begins again. As the Journey Continues.
