Narrator: Today, our heroes walk through a forest filled with different sounds and their new friends, David, Isies, and Karolina. Now that Ash has Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon, and Goh has found the baby Wooloo, they continue their journey. Right now, they are taking a break from strolling. And who knows what kind of surprises they'll have.
Goh: Gee, Scorbunny, I'm glad that we helped David find that lost Wooloo.
Scorbunny: Me too, bud.
Isies: I'm so glad you guys accepted me into your group.
Karolina: And I as well.
David: Me too.
Ash: Well, anyone who's named after one of my Biblical heroes is okay in my book.
Pikachu: Me too!
Serena: And having a fairy and a giant in the group will make our journey much more interesting.
Cilan: At least with a fairy around, we won't have to worry about feeding so much food to Isies.
Brock: I agree, especially after reading so many stories about what it was like for the folk hero Paul Bunyan growing up.
Chloe: I agree, but can we hurry up?
Misty: What's the big rush?
Chloe: We have to get out of this forest and head for the next town.
Eevee: No need to rush, Chloe. We have plenty of time.
Yamper: Eevee's right. Have patience.
Just then, it was time to eat.
David: O Lord, please bless this food that we are about to enjoy.
Isies: And thank you for letting us join Ash and his pals to go on their adventure. In your Name, we pray, amen.
Others: Amen!
With that, they started eating.
Froakie: Boy, this food sure tastes good.
Treecko: It sure does.
Charmander: We have Brock, Cilan, and Mallow to thank for it.
Pikachu: That's right!
Dawn: So, Isies, are you sure your parents said it was okay for you to join us?
Isies: Don't worry, Dawn. They said it would be good for me to see more of the region.
Plusle: She's right, she just needed some fresh air and to get out more.
Isies: Plus, my baby sister won't be born for a while. I have plenty of time to wait till she comes.
Dawn: Okay then.
David: And my Dad'll be fine. He'll have my brothers to help out on the farm.
Tabitha: Too bad we didn't get a chance to meet them before we left.
David: I'm sure you will, once we get to another town, and give them a call.
Tabitha: Alright. I can't wait to meet them.
Ash: How many brothers do you have, David?
David: Seven. And I'm the youngest.
Ash: Huh. Just like your namesake.
David: (chuckles) That's right, Ash.
Serena: At least some of us have brothers and sisters. Misty, Lana, and Kiawe have their sisters, May has Max, Mallow, Cilan, and Chloe have their brothers, Clemont has Bonnie, Mallow has her brother, Gary has Daisy, and Lillie and Gladion have each other.
Fennekin: That's true, Serena.
Tracey: But I think Brock has more brothers and sisters than any of us.
Marill: Absolutely, Tracey.
Venonat: How do he and his parents keep track of them all?
Brock: Well, it's not always easy, but we get by.
Venonat: I guess you're right, Brock.
Eevee noticed that Chloe was eating faster than normal.
Eevee: Chloe, slow down! You could cause yourself to choke.
Yamper: Yeah, remember, have patience.
Sonny: They're right, Chloe. Patience is the key.
At one point, Chloe nearly choked on her food. Karolina saw this and conjured up a glass of water for her.
Karolina: Here, Chloe. Drink this!
Chloe began to drink the water to wash the food down. After a moment, she sighed with relief.
Chloe: Thank you, Karolina.
Eevee: You see what we mean by slowing down?
Chloe: I guess you're right, Eevee.
Ash: My mom tells me to slow down when I get like that.
Chloe: Really?
Ash: Totally. And she said if you're too impatient for something, you're liable to make mistakes.
Daisy: Ash is right, Chloe. It's just like how Abraham and Sarah had to wait to have their own child.
Chloe: Abraham and Sarah?
Ash: Remember that story? God told Abraham he was going to have a son when he was 100 years old, and Sarah was 90.
Chloe: Whoa…
Voice: Did someone say my name?
Everyone turned to see who was talking.
May: Max, is that who I think it is?
Max: Huh?
May: It's the man from the Halloween Party. It's Abraham and his family.
They looked and sure enough, there he was. With his wife, Sarah, and his son, Isaac.
Sarah: (smiles) Hello again, young ones. (looks) Ah, I see you have some new faces among you.
May: That's right, Sarah.
One by one, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Gary, Lana, Kiawe, Mallow, Sophocles, Lillie, Gladion, Goh, Chloe, David, Isies, and Karolina introduced themselves.
Ash: (to Serena) We met Abraham and his family a while back before you guys joined us.
Serena: I see. Nice to meet you, sir.
Abraham: Likewise, young lady.
Serena: Who's that boy with you?
Sarah: Oh, that's our son, Isaac.
Isaac: Hello, there.
Serena: Hi, Isaac, my name is Serena.
Isaac: Nice to meet you guys.
Sophocles: Likewise.
Chloe: So, you're named after the three characters from the Bible, right?
Abraham: Why do you ask?
Chloe: Because Ash and Daisy told me that Abraham had a baby boy at the age of 100, and Sarah was 90.
Abraham: (chuckles) Well, you could say that. We had Isaac when I was 100.
Chloe: But, well, you don't look like you're 100 years old. Uh, if you'll forgive me for mentioning it.
Abraham: Of course.
Chespin: You must be in good health if that's the case.
Tabitha: He's right, sir.
Abraham and Sarah shared a laugh.
May: So, what're you doing out here?
Dawn: Yeah. We haven't seen you since Halloween.
Isaac: We are going on a hike.
Sarah: Ah yes. It's good for our health, y'know.
Abraham: So, what are you children talking about anyway?
Goh: For some reason, Chloe's been in a hurry to get out of the forest.
Scorbunny: Yeah. She nearly choked on her food before Karolina gave her some water.
Sarah: Really? (to Chloe) Is that true?
Chloe: Yes, ma'am.
Isaac: It's a good thing you didn't cough up a storm.
Sophocles: Why would she cough up a storm? I thought she'd cough up some of her food.
David: (chuckles) No, Sophocles, it's a figure of speech.
Suddenly, they heard a voice and some big footsteps.
Iris: It's not Isies. She's right here.
Mallow: Then who could it be?
Kiawe: It could be a Pokémon…
They looked to see where the voice and the footsteps were coming from.
Kiawe: It's coming from behind those trees.
Some of the Pokémon got ready in case whatever it was was hostile.
Ash: Whatever it was, it sounds huge.
Isies stood up to her full height to try and see what the thing was.
Serena: See anything, Isies?
Isies: Not yet. Wait! I see something! It has a shell with spikes.
Gary: A shell with spikes? Any Pokémon you know fit that description, Sis?
Daisy: (looks through her Rotom Phone) Well, let's see…
Before long, the creature in question stepped into view.
Daisy: It's a Turtonator.
Turtonator: Turton.
Kiawe: Whoa, that's awesome!
Rotom Phone: Turtonator, the Blast Turtle Pokémon. A Fire and Dragon-Type.
Gary: Whoa. Looks like a red version of a Blastoise without the water cannons.
Pikachu: Whew! Guess there's nothing to worry about.
Kiawe: Hey there, big guy.
Turtonator: (curiously) Tur?
Kiawe: My name is Kiawe.
Kiawe's Charmander: And I'm Charmander.
Turtonator: Turton-Nator.
Ash: Wow…
Pikachu: He sure is huge. (pause) Not that it's a bad thing, of course.
Kiawe and Turtonator looked at each other. Turtonator tilted his head inquisitively at the boy coming towards him.
Kiawe: You've been wandering in this forest for quite some time. How would you like to be my Pokémon?
Kiawe's Charmander: Yeah. You'd have plenty of friends if you did.
As Kiawe's Charmander said this, he touched his hand on one of Turtonator's legs. When Turtonator felt the Lizard Pokémon's hand, he felt his mouth begin to form sounds.
Turtonator: (Austrian accent) Hello. I ahm ze Tuhtonahtah. (pause) Is ziss my voice?
Kiawe's Charmander: It sure is!
Turtonator: Well… I hahve felt lonely foah a while. I will join you.
Kiawe: Great!
Sawyer: Here's a Poké Ball, Kiawe.
Kiawe: (takes it) Thanks, Sawyer. Ready, Turtonator?
Turtonator: (nods) Yes.
Kiawe: Okay. Go, Poké Ball!
Tossing the Poké Ball, it touched Turtonator who was sucked into it. The Poké Ball then jiggled a little before it gave the signal to let everyone know that Turtonator was successfully caught.
Kiawe: Yes! I've caught Turtonator! Come out!
With that, Turtonator came out again.
Turtonator: Hello again, little people ahnd Pokémon.
Kiawe: Welcome to the team, pal!
Kiawe's Charmander: Yeah, welcome, new friend.
Turtonator: Zank you, little friends.
Isaac: Well done, Kiawe!
Kiawe: (smirks) Thanks.
Sonny: See, Chloe? If we had left in a hurry, Kiawe may not have gained a new friend.
Chloe: Hmm… You're right, Sonny. I was being so selfish. I'm sorry, everyone.
Dawn: Aw, no need to worry, Chloe.
Piplup: That's alright, Chloe.
Chloe: From now on, I'm going to be more patient.
Eevee: That's the spirit, girl!
Chloe smiled as she hugged her starter Pokémon.
Daisy: Well, it looks like we've finished lunch.
Sonny: I guess this means we can continue on our journey.
Goh: That's right, Sonny!
Abraham: So, where are you kids headed?
Ash: Praise Town. Some family friends of my Mom's are supposed to be there.
Abraham: I see…
Chloe: Why do you ask?
Abraham: Because we're going to see the view of the Town.
Sarah: Mind if we tag along with you kids for a while?
Ash: Of course, Sarah!
Serena: It'll give us a chance to get to know you three more.
Chloe: Yeah.
And so, as Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac joined the group, Serena and some of the others told them how they met up with Ash and company, including the adventure to Mount Treble. Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac were amazed by what they heard.
Sarah: My goodness. That was nice of you to help your Charmander on Christmas, Ash.
Ash: I know. Otherwise, he would've been done for sure.
Abraham: And David, that was really brave of you to help out against Isies's uncle.
David: Well, I had my friends and the Lord on my side.
Ash: That's right, Dave. Way to use that slingshot, by the way.
David: Comes from years of practice. Much like my namesake.
Isaac: What are your feelings about it, Isies? I mean, since your uncle's now gone.
Isies: Well, I feel conflicted. I mean, part of me feels glad to not have to deal with his God-hating ways. But on the other hand, he was still family, and part of me wishes he would've seen since. That humans and giants can live in harmony.
Isaac: Is that true?
David: Well, why not? Despite the size difference, humans and giants are pretty much the same.
Isaac: That's true, God did create all His children.
Isies: (smiles, sings) What makes someone special? I suppose it all depends
It's what's unique in each of us that we all share as friends
The difference is our differences, maybe small or great
Variety adds spices to life, so we should celebrate
In harmony… Harmony…
You're you, I'm me
Together we can live in harmony
If there was only one note how boring life would be
I'm glad there are so many notes in many different keys (giggles)
I hear each voice singing with a special quality
And when we sing together, we bring music to all we see!
In harmony…
Others: (singing) Harmony…
Isies: (singing) You're you, I'm me
Together we can live in harmony
In harmony…
Others: (singing) Harmony…
Isies: (singing) You're you, I'm me
Together we can live in harmony
Plusle, Minun, and some of the other Pokémon could be seen playing with sticks and things like instruments.
Isies and others: (singing) Ooh, in harmony… Harmony…
Isies: (singing) You're you, I'm me!
Together, we can live in harmony
With others: (singing) You're you, I'm me
Together, we can live in harmony
Isaac: Hmm. Mom, Dad, what do you think?
Sarah: Well, I think Isies is right, sweetie.
Abraham: Yeah. She and her kind may be bigger than we are, but we're more or less the same. God made us all in His image.
Suddenly, Goh saw something in the trees nearby.
Goh: Hey, I think I see something!
Scorbunny: What is it?
Sobble: Yeah, what?
Goh: It's something small, green and it has a tail.
Ash: Small?
Pikachu: Green?
Ash's Charmander: With a tail?
Goh: Yeah, and it seems to like music.
Isies: Really?
Goh: Yes, really.
Serena: Hmm… Maybe if you started singing again, Isies, maybe we can see the thing better.
David: It might work. Try it, Isies.
Isies: Um, okay… (sings) In harmony… Harmony…
You're you, I'm me
Together we can live in harmony
As Isies sang, everyone kept a lookout for the thing Goh thought he saw up in the trees.
Goh: It looks like a…
Scorbunny: Look!
Sobble: Over there!
Sonny: I don't believe it! It's a Grookey!
Sure enough, up in the trees, there was a Grookey banging a stick against a branch to Isies's song.
Pikachu: It is a Grookey!
Daisy: (with her Rotom Phone) Here, have a look.
Rotom Phone: Grookey, the Chimp Pokémon. A Grass-Type. Grookey attacks by beating with a stick. As the speed of its beats increases, Grookey's excitement does too.
Daisy: According to the Pokédex, Grookey, along with Scorbunny and Sobble are the three Starter Pokémon people in Galar can get when they first start out.
Ash: Wow!
David: Looks like Grookey likes your singing, Isies.
Isies: You really think so, David?
David: Why else would he be drumming to your song?
Goh: I think he likes the rhythm.
Scorbunny: You're probably right, Goh.
Goh went over to say hello.
Goh: Hey there, little guy.
Grookey: (curiously) Groo?
Goh: My name is Goh. And this is Scorbunny and Sobble.
Scorbunny: Hiya.
Sobble: Hello.
Goh: I love the way you bang on your stick.
Grookey: (interested) Grookey?
Scorbunny: Grookey, do you like music as much as we do?
Grookey: (nods) Grookey, Grookey.
Goh: That's good. Hey, how would you like to come along with me, Grookey?
Sobble: Yeah, there'd be plenty of opportunities to lend your musical talents, right, Scorbunny?
Scorbunny: Totally.
Goh: Come and join our family.
Grookey scratched his chin in thought.
Goh: We're on our way to Praise Town.
Grookey: (smiles) Grookey.
Goh: Is that a yes?
Grookey: (nods) Groo.
Scorbunny: He says "yes".
Sonny: Here's a Poké Ball, Goh.
Scorbunny: First things first.
Scorbunny placed a hand on Grookey's. And before long, words began forming in the Chimp Pokémon's mouth.
Grookey: You trying to shake hands with m… Hey, what's happened to my voice?
Scorbunny: You've been blessed by the Power of Jesus Christ.
Sobble: Now you're one of us.
Grookey: Wow!
Goh: (takes the Poké Ball) Alright, Poké Ball, go!
As Goh threw the Poké Ball, Grookey jumped right in as it pulled him right in.
Scorbunny: Good throw, Goh.
The Poké Ball dinged to let them know the capture was successful.
Goh: Yes, I did it! I caught Grookey! C'mon out!
Grookey then emerged from his Poké Ball.
Grookey: Yippee!
Scorbunny: Welcome to the team, Grookey!
Before long, Goh found his head occupied by the Chimp Pokémon as he climbed up on top. This caused the boy to laugh.
Chloe: Look! We're almost out of the forest.
Sarah: (looks) So we are.
Isaac: Time sure flies, huh, Dad?
Abraham: That's right, son. And look, there's the view of Praise Town.
Serena: Which means we'll hopefully meet Professor and Mrs. Hale. And their baby.
Ash: Yeah. But I dunno where in Town we're supposed to meet them.
Pikachu: Maybe we could give your Mom a call, and she can give them a call.
Daisy: That's actually a good idea, Pikachu.
Isies: Can we at least enjoy the view of the Town with Abraham and his family?
David: If it's okay with them.
Abraham: Of course, you can.
Sarah: The more the merrier. (smiles)
Isies: Thank you, you two.
Before long, they found a suitable spot to enjoy the view of Praise Town.
Ash: Wow… Look at that, Pikachu.
Pikachu: Whoa… I can see why Isaac and his folks wanted to see this view.
Isaac: That's right, Pikachu.
Isies: Say, David, do you wanna see the view from my height?
David: (pause) Eh, why not?
Isies carefully picked him up and brought him up to her height.
David: Wow, it's beautiful from up here!
Karolina: It sure is.
Just then, a bright light shone around them and the kids sure knew who that light belonged to. It was the Son of the Living God, Jesus!
Turtonator: Kiawe, is zat who I zink it is?
Kiawe: (smiles) You bet it is.
Jesus: (smiles) Hello, my young friends. And hello to you, Abraham.
Abraham: Hello, Lord.
Serena: You have a scripture for one of us?
Jesus: Indeed I do, Serena.
Goh: Who are you gonna read it to?
Jesus: Why, Chloe, of course.
Chloe: Me?
Jesus: Yes, indeed. And the scripture comes from the Book of Hebrews.
Chloe: Okay then, that's perfect!
Jesus: In the scripture, it says, "And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised."
Chloe: That's Hebrews 6:15, right?
Jesus: Correct.
Chloe: Is it because I've learned how to be patient?
Jesus: That's also correct. Like your friend Ash said, if you always rush into things, you will often find yourself in trouble.
Chloe: I never thought of it that way. Anyhow, thanks for coming to see us. And thank you for telling me that verse.
Jesus: You are welcome, my young friend. Goodbye. (waves goodbye and disappears)
Chloe and the others waved goodbye as well.
Eevee: Boy, Jesus sure is one excellent teacher. Isn't He, Chloe?
Chloe: He sure is.
David: Isaac, I'm glad that you and your family came to walk with us.
Karolina: Yes, indeed.
Isies: Where will you go now?
Isaac: Oh, we'll be heading back home to Humble Valley.
Sarah: Yes. But it was lovely to see you all again. And to meet some of you newcomers as well.
Karolina: The pleasure was ours, ma'am.
Ash: Hang on, Hale Family, here we come!
Narrator: Patience is the key that comes first. Chloe learns that if you rush into things, you'll end up in disaster. And Kiawe and Goh have two new Pokémon in their family, Turtonator and Grookey. Now, our heroes start to head for Praise Town. As the journey continues.
To Be Continued…
