Serenity only had just enough time it seemed to change her dress into a new one when there was a knock on the door. Hesitant she walked to the door asking who it was as she placed her shaking hand on the golden knob.

"Queen Irene dear, just wanted to see how you settled? Maybe talk some?" The queens voice said softly through the door reminding her of her own mother.

Serenity opened the door and was greeted with a soft smile.

"Please, come in." She whispered as she moved to walk into the room the Queen following.

"Have you been on your balcony yet? You'll enjoy the view much more in your next room, however there is a small part of the garden you can see from here."

Queen Irene walked to the doors of the balcony Serenity following timidly as they both stepped out. The balcony looked over mostly field, if you looked to the right however you could see the hedges that began what Serenity assumed would be a beautiful garden. There was a small table with two chairs which the Queen sat at gesturing for her to sit in the opposite chair.

"What is it you wished to talk about your Highness?" Serenity whispered shyly staring at her folded hands in her lap. A habit she has yet to break.

"Please, Serenity you out rank me even if your title says otherwise. Just like I told your Sensei, just Irene." She reaches over taking one of the smaller girls hands gently.

"I just wanted you to know whenever you need someone to speak with, I will gladly listen. I was once where you sat, and trust me the King I was marrying is nothing like my son." She said gently causing Serenity to look up at her and give a smile.

The queen smiled back and let out a sigh.

"I will warn you, this marriage will happen fast, and everything after even faster." Letting out another breath she squeezed the princesses hand. "I am not sure if your mother told you, but this marriage isn't the only thing needed for this union between our planets to be completed. There needs to be a heir, created of the Moon and the Earth."

Serenity gasped and pulled her hand away placing it on her chest. Her mind was running a million miles a minute thinking about how her mother could do this to her so young.

Marriage was one thing but a child?

"N-no, my mother did not say anything about an heir." She whispered her voice thick with the tears she was trying to hold back.

Queen Irene frowned knowing exactly what this poor girl was feeling. Unlike her parents who just used her as a pawn to get more money and higher status she knew that Queen Serenity was bound by law, and duty to do this to her daughter.

"Your mother when she spoke to me about all this was heart broken to send you here without her. The wedding will be held here, then you and Endymion can chose when you would like to live where. Of course you will have to split time equally between the two planets but I do believe you both will be okay."

After a few moments of silence and just looking out to the field serenity finally spoke.

"How did you cope with all this? I have only been gone from home for a few hours and already I miss it. And everyone there."

Laughing slightly the queen took the girls hand again.

"To this day I still miss my old home, which has been gone for years now. Even though my husband was a man born and raised for just duty and not love, nine months after I met him, he gave me my only son and to this day that is still who I live for." She sighed her eyes glazing over with the memory of holding her newborn child. "Of course it was hard, but I made friends and found ways to pass my time, and when Endy was born I spent my time raising him."

"Endy?" Serenity asked "is it common to be so informal here?"

The laugh the queen let out was loud and cheerful "oh sweet Serenity, everyone in this palace is family to me. Of course we still have certain moments like public outings and Balls where we need to bring out the 'your majesty and your highness' but on every normal day being so formal is stuffy. Don't you think?" She laughed again smiling wide at the princesses shocked face before she too let out a small smile.

"I guess you are right" she paused before whispering "your son is very kind, I ran into him on the way here. He helped me when a guard got a little to close." She shuddered and remembered the small spots of blood of her dress she arrived in.

"Yes, Endy told me. Don't worry we have your Senshi on alert as well as our most trusted guard. Endy also told me from now on he plans to escort you whenever he can to wherever it may be you need to go."

Serenity blushed at the thought of seeing Endymion so much. His deep blue eyes flashed in her mind and she smiled her heart pounding once more.

"Now I shall go and get ready for Supper, I have a few things I must tend to before then."

They both stood Serenity walking the older woman to the door.

"Thank you, I am feeling a little better. I hope we can do this again sometime? It is nice to get to know the woman who will be my second mother." Serenity whispered as the queen stepped out the door.

"Yes, we will make this a tradition, we can even have your Senshi join in as well."

She gave the younger girl a small hug before she smiled and left.
