Oriana was tired of waiting for Luffy and Ace to come back. She wasn't the most patient person and was wondering what was taking them so long. She found the brothers by the place they made their vow.

Luffy was no longer laying flat on his stomach, he was instead sitting up with his knees close to himself. Ace was standing next to him listening, "-and even stronger than that. Then I'll be able to protect anything. I won't lose anyone ever again. Please Ace… don't die" his broken voice hurt her.

The youngest was suddenly punched by his older brother, "Don't be ridiculous! You should be more worried about yourself. You're way weaker than I am! Listen up and remember this, Luffy! I won't die" Ace declared while Oriana was watching from behind a tree.

Luffy held on to his hat and nodded while both his eyes and nose were running. "Sabo made that request too. I promise I won't die! There's no way I'd die and leave behind a weakling of a brother like you" he continued, and her little sunshine nodded twice agreeing with whatever Ace was saying.

Oriana felt her heart melt at this scene. She knew Ace meant every word and it was hard to believe he could be that vulnerable.

"Listen Luffy, we'll definitely live our lives without regret!" the older encouraged, and Luffy nodded again. Oriana felt like it included her too and went over to them. "Someday, we'll set out to sea and live our lives the way we want to. With more freedom than anyone else!" he encouraged.

His speech to his brother was so amazing.

Ace would for sure make a great captain.

"I'm sure that we'll make lots of enemies. Gramps will become our enemy too. We'll risk our lives and set sail when we turn seventeen" he finished.

"Seventeen? I can't wait that long," Oriana started, "We'll all go when we are seventeen to be pirates, Oria," Luffy said as if it somehow was obvious. "Sorry, sunshine but I've been here too long. I think of leaving when I'm about fifteen".

She would have left by now if she thought that she could find her way back home at such a young age.

"That's cheating," Luffy said childishly, "I have been missing for over thirteen years. My crew probably think I died or something. I won't let them believe that for much longer," she answered firmly and left no room for arguments.

Ace didn't say anything during their conversation and Oriana was sure he understood.

'Just wait a couple of more years, daddy, everyone'. The true daughter of Whitebeard would soon be back.

"That means we only have a little over three years left with you" the brothers looked so sad, "We'll just have to make it the best three years of our lives then" she smirked at them and theirs easily matched hers.

Oriana used her time to get stronger along with Ace and Luffy. She had perfected all her elements and even got full control over her firepower. Three years has already passed, and she decided to set sail tomorrow. They had used their limited time to the fullest.

Tonight, they had thrown her a small farewell party. Makino and the mayor had come and would see her off the next day as well. She had prepared everything and was excited to finally be back at sea to be free as a pirate.

She was going to miss these weirdos, especially her brothers, but it was a great comfort to know that she was definitely going to meet them out at sea. When that time comes they would be with their own crews and as enemy pirates. It was going to be so great!

As the party was calming down, she took each of her brothers' arms and drag them outside. She lay down with her brother on each side of her. They were enjoying looking at the stars, "I want to thank you for staying with me, Oria" Luffy suddenly said

"What do you mean, Luffy?" Ace asked, this was the first time he had heard about it. "After I came here, I was offered a ride home, but Luffy begged me to stay," she looked at her little sunshine. "If he didn't, I might not have met you" Ace realized.

"I'm glad he did" Oriana smiled warmly at him, "But if you want to be at the top you'll have to go through my crew. We most certainly would have met but as strangers," she said as she faced him. He looked bothered by that.

"There's no reason for you to look like that. You are both my family and I'm really going to miss you!" she said a bit emotionally. Oriana sat up as tears gather in her eyes. Luffy and Ace held a hand on her back as comfort, "Don't be sad. We'll for sure meet again" Luffy put his head on her shoulder.

"I know we will" Oriana hugged them both tightly. "Alright, you can let us go now," Ace said after a short moment and he tried to pull away, "No, not till I leave tomorrow!" she said firmly. "Don't worry, Oria, I don't mind. I love your warm hugs" Luffy smiled.

Oriana's heart skipped a beat. She let go of Ace and wrapped both her hands around Luffy as she kissed his temple and rubbed her cheek against him, "I shouldn't have bothered with Ace. You deserve all of this sunshine," Luffy giggled cutely.

"Oi!" Ace protested but it fell on deaf ears.

The next day quickly came. She was ready to finally be out at sea again. Her brothers, the bandits, and Makino was there to see her off. She started hugging everyone, "I'm going to miss you guys! I want to say thank you for taking me in" she looked at Makino and Dadan.

"You're welcome, Oriana-chan" the barmaid smiled. The bandit leader looked like she was about to cry, "Don't say such stupid things, brat!" she scolded. Oriana shook her head smiling, "Well, then" she said before jumping onto her small boat.

"Luffy, Ace! Look at me. It's been fun but I'm setting sail now!" Oriana waved her arms as the ship sailed forward. "Right, see you out there!" Luffy smiled, "Next time we meet I'll beat you!" Ace said confidently.

Oriana laughed, "Good luck!"

Once, the island faded into the distance she turned to look ahead, "It's just me now" she whispered.

The young girl had been sailing for a couple of days now slowly running out of food with no islands in sight. She had a map in front of her, but it was really hard to read especially since she didn't know where she was.

It wasn't supposed to be that hard since she still was in East Blue. The girl sighed deeply; she was off to a bad start already. She was starting to second guess her decision for not taking Shanks up on his offer to get her back all those years ago now.

While deep in her thoughts she didn't see a big ship approaching her, "Do you need help young lady?" an officer asked, "Yeah, I'm looking for an island called Logue Town" she remembered that name from before.

"There is still a long way, but we are heading that way as well. How about we give you a ride?" another officer said kindly. "Thank you. I would love that!" she smiled as innocently as she could. Her plan was originally to go to that island, steal another ship to the Grand Line, or maybe climb up the Red Line.

Whatever she was in the mood for at that time.

It almost took a week for Oriana to reach Logue town with the marines. Even though she was on an enemy ship and had to be on guard she enjoyed the free food offered to her. But as soon as she saw the island in the distance she jumped down and stole one of their emergency boats to get over there.

Without the marines' knowledge of course

This was her first stop on her grant journey back to her family. She looked out for any sudden storms, rain, or snow because that was one thing she certainly remembered from her time back before she went missing.

The city was nice and there was this amazing smell. There was a market with a man selling something delicious by the street. Oriana went over to get something to eat, "What can I get you, miss" the man smiled.

"Whatever is the most selling," she said excitedly.

The man gave her a big plate of food and she gulped it up like it was soup. After a few minutes, "I want more," Oriana smiled while giving him the plate back so that he could refill it. "It's this your first time on this island?" The man asked as he kept refilling her food.

"Yeah, is there something worth seeing?" Oriana asked between bites, "You can go see the execution platform" he said, "Anyone famous or infamous that died there?" she looked interested. "So, you don't know that this is the island the Pirate King Gold Roger died on?" he was very surprised.

Oriana completely stopped, "R-Roger died here?" she stuttered but before the man could say anything she ran off in the direction he was pointed to. "Hey! You didn't pay for the food!" she ignored the voice.

She ran around for some time and arrived at the platform. Oriana went closer to it and climbed up when some guard tried to stop her, "Get down from there, miss!" he yelled. "I'm just going to see the view from up there!" she yelled back.

The guard continued to scold her, but she choose to ignore it. Oriana soon reached the top and sat by the end enjoying the view from there, "So, this is the place you died, Roger. This was the last thing you saw." She felt an unnatural wind hit her and almost felt his spirit there.

Oriana smiled and started to relax, "I been through a lot since last I saw you. I know I look really young but there's a long story to that. I met your son, Roger. He is strong, a hardhead, with a temper but besides that he's really kind" she half-joked.

"But I really wish you were a father to him, Roger, then maybe he wouldn't doubt his existence or have this darkness in his heart" she looked at the bracelet still around her ankle. 'I'm glad he had you' she heard in the wind, "I'm the lucky one, Roger"

Oriana noticed people gathering around her, "I think it's time to go now" she muttered to herself. She jumped down to the ground and looked back at the platform, "I never got to say this but, goodbye Pirate King" she ran toward the docks.

A wind hit her once more, 'Goodbye Oriana' she almost saw his bright smile.

The docks were very quiet, and the young woman chose what seemed like a good ship. It was much bigger than her last ship and she used her powers to manipulate the seawater to move forward. Not long after the sky was getting darker and colder when a lighthouse appeared.

"Why is that there?" she wondered

Oriana followed the light to a small space between the Red Line. She noticed the stream was moving her forward. It's been such a long time since she last saw it and if it were for her powers, she would have crashed into it.

Oriana steered the ship toward the opening of the Grand Line and the rest was nature's work. She enjoyed how the strong stream pulled her and the wind in her hair. Soon she reached the clouds, and she really loved the ride.

It wasn't long till Oriana reached the top with all the routes from each blues meeting in the middle. The boat flew up a little up as it landed on a different route to slide down again. The way down was so much more fun than anything.

That was until Oriana heard a loud sound, "What is that?" she looked in front of her and saw a huge black wall. "That wasn't on the map!" she slowly panicked but as she got closer, she realized that it wasn't a wall but a giant whale.

She was about to crash into it but used the seawater to make a way away from the huge animal. Oriana barely missed the thing and the tip of the ship was no longer there. She saw it flowing close to the Red Line.

Oriana got it out of the water and just looked at it. No idea what to do with it, "It's of no use girl" she heard a voice above her. An old man who somehow looked familiar, "Who are you, old man?" she asked curiously.

"I'm the keeper of this lighthouse, Crocus," he said, "Alright, I'm Oriana" she replied and jumped onto the water standing on its surface while trying to get the tip to attach back to the ship. "It's impressive you entered the Grand Line in such a small boat" the old man grinned.

"Thank you" she smiled, somehow getting it to sit for five whole seconds. Oriana stared at it before jumping up next to the old man. "I might have some extra clothes that fit you. Let's go inside" he offered. "No need old man" she held her hands in front of her body and removed the water from her wet clothes.

"I remember seeing someone with those exact powers" Crocus suddenly said which got her on guard. "And who was that? Oriana prepared herself for anything. "Relax girl. We already met once. I was onboard Roger's ship when he fought Whitebeard seventeen years ago"

Oriana sighed, "Don't look so suspicious then, old man!"

The former pirate let her stay for the next couple of days. It was nice for her to relax before continuing her journey, "Did you remember your Log pose?" Crocus asked, "A what?" she was confused by his question.

He showed her what he meant, "What am I going to use that for?" she asked, "The needle is pointing towards an island's magnetic field and at some point, it will reset itself and point to the next. There are seven routes you can take and will eventually reach the New World. That's where you are going, right?" he asked.

The girl nodded; she didn't realize how far it really was. She had finally started her journey back home but had no idea how long it was going to take. It had already been a couple of weeks just to enter the Grand Line and who knows how much time it was going to take.

The sun was about to set, and she sat on the red wall drawing on a small piece of paper she got from the former pirate, 'Dad, I'll be there as soon as I can. Nothing can keep me from coming back to you" she had a sad smile on her face, but her eyes were burning with determination...

She set sail the next morning. Crocus had given her his Log pose because she couldn't leave without it. She soon encountered a huge familiar ship and secretly sneaked onboard it carefully hiding in some storage room.

It had been months since entering the Grand Line. Oriana had been listening to their conversations and switching between ships going to the Marine headquarters which was right next to the Red Line. There were a few times she wore their uniform to better blend in and not be confined in a small room.

Oriana was often mistaken for a new recruit which wouldn't have been that bad except for the fact that they were often on cleanup duties and ordered around by everyone. She quickly got tired of it and got into hiding again.

The ship was getting closer to Marineford, and the girl didn't like the fact that she was so close to enemy territory all alone. Her biggest concern was if someone recognized her, but it wasn't going to be easy since her bounty picture was in her other form.

But the worries didn't completely leave her cause that would be stupid.

Every soldier was standing in two lines waiting for orders to continue into the island. "That's him! The hero, vice admiral Garp!" the soldiers got excited. Oriana on the other hand felt fear. She stepped out of the line, letting the others go in front of her.

Once the last one past her, she jumped into the water to swim away from there. Oriana resurfaced somewhere else where no one was. She had time to scold herself for forgetting that Luffy's grandpa was a marine stationed in Marineford. If he caught her, he might imprison her.

The thought pissed her off.

Oriana had to figure out a way to avoid Garp. It shouldn't be too hard considering the place was huge. She sneaked into a room, "What are you standing there for?" a voice almost scared her, "Hurry up and take your position" he hissed.

She stood next to another officer looking at a group of people sitting around a table. Oriana felt something coming towards her and she moved to the side to dodge it when two soldiers started fighting and a tall blond man started to laugh.

Her gaze went to his fingers, he moved them as if he were controlling them which made sense. "Cool powers" she muttered but quickly got captivated by the food on the table. Oriana went over and started eating without hesitation, "Your manners are quite bad, girl" the blond man said.

"I don't want to hear that from a pirate" she replied. "You're interesting, marine girl" the man known as Doflamingo smiled like a madman. Oriana looked around before stepping closer to him, "I'm actually a pirate, too. These marines are just too stupid to realize that I'm not one of them" she whispered.

He grinned like the devil, "I knew it. You are interesting". Oriana ignored him and kept eating it when she saw something shining in the corner of her eye. She want closer to the black blade, "What a beautiful sword" she said without realizing it.

Oriana felt eyes staring at her and she looked to see golden eyes, "Keep your hands off it, girl" he said dangerously. "You have beautifully intimidating eyes," she said admiring. The man just closed his eyes ignoring her presence.

"Hey! What are you doing over there?" a man entered the room, "I was told to report the number of pirates that had arrived," she quickly lied. "And who gave you that order?" Oriana had trouble coming up with a marine with a rank high enough for them not to question her anymore.

"I did," a familiar voice said. Oriana turned to see the very man she tried so hard to avoid, "I see, you did vice-admiral Garp" the man said as he moved aside. Garp looked at her emotionlessly, "Well, since you're here now I'll just go back to work" she replied and slowly backed away.

The girl couldn't just walk out of the door and looked around to see a big window at the back of the room. Oriana took her chance and ran towards it ready to jump but the marine hero grabbed her by the back of her uniform, "Where do you think you're going, brat?"

"I want to test my skills by jumping out of the window" she smiled sweetly as she started getting nervous. Garp wasn't buying any of it and just carried her out of the room, "No! Let me go, old man! I just want to get out of here as soon as possible!" she protested but was ignored.

She grabbed onto the door but with his strength, he just pulled the entire thing along with some of the wall. Everyone stared at them as if they were crazy which was probably true.

Garp carried her to his office and let her go before closing the door, "What are you doing here, Oriana?" the man finally asked, "That's how you greet me after so long, gramps?" she acted cutely but the man looked unimpressed.

"Fine, I'm going back to the New World by sneaking onto different ships," she answered. "You're going back to Whitebeard" it wasn't a question. "I am" she simply answered. It didn't seem to surprise him, and he probably expected this one day.

"It's not too late to become a marine!" Garp exclaimed. "You do know I have a bounty, right?" she raised an eyebrow with her arms crossed. "Anyways sorry gramps but I can't. Being a pirate is literally in my blood!"

"Then you leave me no choice. As a marine, I can't let you go" Garp suddenly got this dark aura and Oriana started to sweat as her senses were telling her to run. The old man raised his fist as if he was ready to punch her.

She dodge before running out of the door, "Wait up brat!" he yelled behind her, "As if old man!" she screamed back. At that moment, there was an announcement through the speakers, "All available soldier report for duty in dock 4. We need all available soldiers to prepare for entering the New World"

Just like that, she found a way away from here.

There were only two things she needed now. One was to find dock four and two was to get rid of Garp. Oriana turned around at shot fireballs at him, but he easily punched them away. She had a feeling that whatever she did, it wasn't going to work.

That was until she got an idea to do something else. Oriana made sure that there was no one around before turning into her other form. She faced him and shot a powerful wind combined with fire at him. She hit Garp and he flew back through the walls.

She knew it wasn't going to hold him for long and quickly ran away.

She wasn't sure which way to go, "Hey, how do I get to dock four?" she asked the first person she saw. "You have to go straight, through the eating hall and continue on the other side of the room. Then there are signs you can follow" an older male soldier explained.

"Thanks!" she smiled.

Oriana soon entered the eating hall as her stomach growled. She knew she didn't have much time, but it would surely take time to prepare a warship, right? The girl joined the food line, and more people were getting behind her.

She grabbed a bowl for whatever smelled so good. Everyone's eyes were on her and she had a hard time understanding why that was. She looked at herself and realized that she was still in her other form.

Oriana went out of the hall and once the door closed behind her; she turned back.

A little later, she found the dock as the ship was about to leave. Oriana jumped onto it hiding in the storage room for now. How were they going to get to the other side of the Red Line, through Fishman island? The last she heard, that island was under her father's control.

They wouldn't dare, right?

It wasn't long till they arrived at the great wall once more. Everyone left the ship, and they took a lift to the Holy land of Mariejoa where the Celestial Dragons lived. They were the people responsible for Sabo's death.

Oriana looked around and saw it was heavily guarded. She had finally gotten close to the people who killed her brother, but if she made her move now, she couldn't expect to just walk out of there alive. Sadly, logic won over her this time.

The girl never expected an entire city up here with a castle and everything. Everything was just so beautiful, and she would have to remember it to draw it later. She was still disguised as a marine but even that had to be rare for other pirates.

She was probably the only girl to be brave or stupid enough to come here. As she got closer and closer, the girl started to feel uneasy like there was something the World Government didn't want people to know. Misery and corruption were definitely hunting this place.

"This is the holy land. This is the place the 20 kings that founded the World Government were invited to live. Now even after 800 years, their descendants are still living here, and they are called the celestial dragons. Remember it's our duty as marines to protect them with our lives!" Their leading officer said.

The group went over to the other end of the Red Line ready to descend but one of the knights told them there were some difficulties with the lifts and that it would take some time to fix it. Oriana refused to stay here any longer.

They had prepared a place for them to stay in the meantime. Everyone followed except Oriana who was looking down to calculate how far up she was. Well, it didn't matter now because she had the power to get herself down.

Oriana took the chance and took the free fall down the Red Line. Oriana used her wind to slow herself down and then used the great wall to make a pathway down.

After a while, she finally arrived at a harbor similar to the one on the other side. There were a lot of marines, and she hid from them. Oriana got her eyes on a small fisher ship in the distance. It was dangerous to set sail all alone in such a small ship, but she had to try.

No one noticed her sail away in the direction of 'as far away as possible'.

Now, that she was in the New World, how was she going to find her crew? Would her crew even recognize her, would they even accept her back? Oriana shook her head, 'No need to stress myself over it'

But seriously how was she going to find them?

They were famous pirates, and someone had to know something about them. Oriana's only option was to go from island to island and if she was lucky, she find them. Hopefully very, very soon. Yet, there was no island in sight.

Old man Crocus said something about Log pose and how they catch an island's magnetic field. Then she only needed her Log pose, and everything would be alright. She opened her back and took it out to look at it.

It was pointing toward the direction of the sun. The morning two days later she found land. She didn't even have the energy to find a place to sleep and just crashed onto the sand after disembarking the ship.
