Chapter 2, A Modern Day Atlantis

As I heard the train's wheels continue to turn and the whistling of the wind against the exposed windows of the train, memories of the past started to fill my head quickly. I spent 19 years in Vault 101 and I was able to have a somewhat simple life you could say. I was born on February 21, 2259 and though I lost my mother due to childbirth, my Dad did his best to raise me without her. I remember my 10th birthday party and how it was such a big moment for me. I got my Pip Boy which was a monumental thing when living in the vault as it marked a transition from being a kid to being more adult. I remember how hard a girl around my age, Amata Almodovar had worked with everyone else in the vault to make the celebration a thing and I expressed how grateful I was for it when I saw her. I remember her hazel eyes and brown hair that was similar to mine. She was always a good friend to me and I even had a bit of a crush on her as we were growing up. Though, I never got the chance to ask her out. I was too nervous and didn't know what to say. Later on that day, I received some Sweet Rolls from Old Lady Palmer. I don't know what her hair was like before she got old, but her brown eyes and white hair was always noticeable from afar. She was always such a nice old lady and always made me food whenever she could. Her green bean casserole was always a treat whenever she made it. I remembered one of the Mister Handy Robots tried to cut the cake, but made such a giant mess that the cake was ruined. Then, Butch DeLoria, a childhood bully of mine, started to whine he had nothing to eat. He had black hair and grey eyes that always had the expression of 'I want that and you give it to me or else' mentality. Once he saw the rolls I had, he demanded that I give them to him. I said no and that it was given to me by Old Lady Palmer. So, he tried to start a fight with me over it. Really was pathetic. Thankfully, Office Gomez stopped him before he could throw a punch at me as he was put in the corner. Another highlight was, after the party settled, my Dad had a surprise for me in that being a BB gun for me to practice and test out aiming with. I even took out a Radroach after getting familiar with it. Once it was all done, we took a picture together that I still have. It's the only one I have him.

Another memory uncovered in me as I remembered when I was 16, I had to take the G.O.A.T to find out where I would go and work in the vault. I tried to talk my Dad out of doing it even going so far as to say I was sick. My old man, as always, knew I was lying and tried to coax me to still take it. I reluctantly agreed and made my way to the testing room. As I was on my way, I heard Butch harassing Amata and I told him to properly piss off. Once again, the smug prick didn't listen and wanted to fight. So, we fought again and I was surprised that my first ever fight ended with me hitting him in the nose so hard that he ran off with his cronies. Amata was grateful I had intervened, though she said she wished it hadn't come to a fight and I agreed. I'm not really someone that likes starting fights, but Butch had started this and I wanted to finish it. I went into the room to take the G.O.A.T and after we were done and turned it in, Butch was ahead of me and got the job of hairdresser and I almost laughed out loud. Considering the guy put so much product in his hair, it didn't surprise me. His hair always looked like bed hair but he argues its part of the style. Yeah, sure it was Butch. Or its you being lazy to comb it. Then I was up next and I recalled that my result was such bullshit. Waste manager, what a fucking joke and I had answered it to the best of my ability too. Mr. Brotch, the guy who gave out the exam, said he could make out whatever I wanted it to be since he even agreed that it was all a ruse anyway. So, I chose out of the options, Vault chaplain, which was much better. Such simple memories compared to what I have now and honestly, I partially miss the life I had in the vault. We didn't have to worry about surviving. We expected to live in the vault and die in the vault. And my Dad and I expected that for both of us.

But then it changed in August of 2277, when I woke up to find out my Dad had left the vault and Amata was telling me the Overseer, her dad, wanted me dead for causing a disruption in the vault and security was after me. I had no idea why my father left at the time and was so confused as to what was going on. She also told me they killed Jonas, one of my father's friends and I was shocked to learn that given how much he had helped both my father and myself throughout our time in the vault. He was one of the people that helped orchestrate and set up my 10th birthday party. Amata gave me her father's pistol and though she hoped I did not have to use it, I had no choice as Officer Kimball and others tried to kill me, so I returned fire. I wasn't much of the physical fighter and the kick of the 10mm pistol was incredibly strong compared to the BB gun I was used to using. As I was making my way to escape, I found the Overseer harassing Amata, and I stepped in before Officer Mack was going to hurt her. Amata ran off and I had to kill Officer Mack before he tried to kill me and her. Once I approached the Overseer, he refused to just let me leave and after going back and forth with him, I finally told him I would get out my own damn way. I found his password to open the door that led to the exit in one of the drawers of the desk and entered it in the terminal in his main office. Once the door was officially open, I started to make my way back to the vault door. As I started to make my way to the door, I had to take down two more guards who came at me with nightsticks. Thankfully, I still had some rounds left in the pistol and was able to dispatch them quickly. Once that was done, I saw that Amata was right behind me. She wished me luck and said she would convince her father to not attack me or come after me. I tried to convince her to come with me out of the vault, but she wouldn't have it. In hind sight, that might have been the best moment to tell her how I felt about her. She may have left with me that day. Regardless, she also promised that she would try to find a way for things to die down in the vault so I could return one day. I was reluctant to leave her there, but given the situation I had no choice. I grabbed her hand and told her I would be back. I remember her nodding in agreement and I pushed the button to open the vault door. As it opened, I made my way forward and to a boarded up door. I pulled the door open, hearing the screeching of the metal hinges, and experienced the blinding flash of how the world was outside. Once it settled, I looked over the horizon and saw the wasteland for the first time. I'll never forget the amount of shock that filled my body once I saw it. I knew it was bad, but I never thought it would be this bad. I saw destroyed homes, tree stumps, craters, and just about everything else destroyed on some level. Everything was just so different to what I thought it left me shocked for a bit. I almost wanted to go back into the vault as a level of anxiety washed over me. I didn't even think I was going to find my Dad. But I knew I had to use my wits and gut to find him. My Dad always said I was special on some level. He was definitely not wrong at all about that, looking back. But I don't even think he even knew what I was in for.

Before I could continue to reminisce every detail, I heard the train begin to stop and I got ready to jump off. As I made my way out of the train station, I walked through the train tunnel and made my way to a door. I opened it and looked outside to see a new mess of a city. A destroyed train bridge, buildings destroyed with nothing, but rubble left, and the familiar air definitely felt like D.C. Where, I could not tell you, but it sure felt like it. I pressed on further and a Ghoul took notice of me. He charged, flailing his hand around at me and rightfully put him down quickly with my Service Rifle. I kept going on further when I noticed an old destroyed gift shop and an old supermarket boarded up with no option to enter. The real shock was the giant crater right in front of the store that, upon inspection, had a pipe sticking out creating a puddle of water. I can only imagine the size of the bomb that dropped right there. As I walked around the crater, I noticed a pitstop boarded up as well, however the sign was so horribly faded, I could not tell who it used to belong to nor the name of the pitstop. I tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge being either locked or something preventing it from opening. I turned around and I saw at the end of the road, a makeshift complex with sheet metal boarding up the fences. I made my way towards it and a knight of the Brotherhood of Steel greeted me outside of his booth. His armor was made out of pure metal and had a retro look that always gave me memories of not only the ones I saw in D.C, but the kinds of armor that military people wore in old Sci Fi movies.

"What do you want," he asked, with an accent I think is Russian.

"Let me through, I need to speak with your superior." I asked.

"Why, what business do you have?"

"Well, I have some information you might want to hear that can help you acquire some lost Old World technology. "

He paused for a moment, "Very well, you will find him at the complex at the end there. Do not try anything or we will use force."

I nodded and continued forward. I know the Brotherhood of Steel all too well. Compared to D.C, the ones in New Vegas are a bunch of technology fanatics that refuse to share with the rest of the world and have been known to cause issues across the Mojave. They don't have much compared to D.C. and honestly they are not as friendly as them. And already, they gave off that vibe alone with how they have greeted me.

As I entered their Naval Base and walked down the hill, I noticed a smaller complex to my left with a destroyed, military truck in front of it and down further was a tent and two, bigger concrete complexes. The one at the far end must be where a submarine would be given it was at the end closest to the water and the other one close to it must be a stronghold of some kind. As for the tent in front of me, it was big in size and I was curious to know what was in it. I took a peak in the tent and I was met with seeing just one doctor checking out a few patients. The doctor was wearing a red robe with leather stitched in it, had brown, slicked back hair, and was inspecting a wound on a Brotherhood member. Clearly these guys have seen better days or were not given much resources to check this out. Regardless, I walked away from the tent and made my way to the other complex. I opened the door and when I entered, I saw that it looked more sophisticated with lockers, computer terminals, and office style space cubicles. I then caught the eye of another Brotherhood of Steel member. He had a thin layer of light brown hair and green eyes, with a chin that was noticeably pointy. He noticed I entered and approached me, with a confused look on his face as to why I was there.

"What are you doing here? Who are you," he asked with a thick Russian accent like the knight at the gate.

"Greetings. Do you happen to have a submarine here by any chance," I asked.

"Why, what are you trying to do," he asked, with his arms crossed.

"Well, let's just say I know of a place that has some very good Pre-War Tech," I replied.

"So, you expect me to give you the submarine? How am I supposed to trust you or your information?"

I took the letter out of my bag and showed him it, presenting the evidence I had of Rapture's existence. He took it out of my hand and started to read it. As he read it, his look of puzzlement went to curiosity, and intrigue.

He gave the letter back to me, "That is an interesting read. However, I cannot organize an entire expedition there right now. I am on an important mission right now and I cannot spare the men," he said as he crossed his arms again.

He continued, "I've lost one when we were fighting our way through the ruins, And the other two are still recovering from their wounds. So, I cannot send anymore and holding this base and recovering pre-war data is our priority for now. Not to mention our submarine suffered damage."

"Well how about you send me instead and I will return with anything I am able to recover." I suggested.

"And why am I supposed to trust you with our submarine?"

"The possible reward can be huge and you are not risking anything but the sub that is useless for you right now. I can figure out a way to repair it."

"Very well, I will take that risk, but you are on your own to figure everything out. There is a supply room in the back of the base with some spare parts you can use. Here is the Submarine docks key," He finishes, handing me the key.

"Do not disappoint me." He refutes, with a cold tone in his voice.

I nodded in response as I put the key in my pocket and walked out the door.

I inserted the key into the door and opened it. Once it fully opened, I could hear the faint echo of the door opening fill the entire submarine room. I walked down a couple of steps and I could see the submarine ready for inspection. The space around it was huge and moving around, I could notice my boots echoing throughout the base as well. I could see a staircase leading up to an observation deck of some sort and looking down further to my left, I could see a path most likely leading to where the spare parts would be. I brought my attention back to the submarine and walked towards it to inspect it. It didn't look like much and clearly it had seen better days given the rust and wear it had on the side of it, but it will suffice for now.

I opened the top hatch and climbed down the ladder. Once I had climbed down, I was met with the cramped, stuffy space of the submarine. The front of the submarine had the terminal and computers to where I could put the coordinates in and right next to the ladder was a bunk bed with two beds. I looked to my left and saw what was left of the engine and it was quite a mess. I walked up to it to get a better look and looking at it, it's going to need some scrap metal, a new conductor, some wonder glue, some electronic scrap, and two fission batteries. With that in mind, I climbed back up the ladder and exited the submarine.

I made my way all the way back there to gather the supplies. Paladin Kovalsky didn't make this easy for me as I had to walk quite a bit until I was met with a room filled with miles of shelves of supplies. From weapons, food, to spare parts, there clearly was no shortage here of supplies of any kind. Nonetheless, I walked around the shelves to find what I was looking for. I had no trouble finding some scrap metal, a new conductor, wonder glue, electronic scrap, and two fission batteries. I wrestled around with them in my hands and had to settle putting some of them in my bag and carrying the rest back to the submarine. Setting my bag on the ground, I was able to fit the wonder glue, the fission batteries, and the electronic scrap, but the rest I had to carry in my hands. I zipped the bag up, put it back on, and gathered the remaining parts in my hand. I then started to make my way back and noticed just how heavy everything was together. Regardless, I kept going forward, back to the submarine. Once I arrived, I dropped the scrap metal and the conductor, with the thud they made echoing in the base around me. I then climbed down, gathered them back up, and brought them all to the engine to get to work. It took me at least two hours to finally get it all together and figure it out. I then turned on the engine and the noise it made showed it started up just fine. I then made my way to the computer and noticed the autopilot was in need of correction. It wasn't damaged physically, but it clearly needed to be rebooted and restructured. Once the software had rebooted, the green light indicated to me that the autopilot was ready to go and I punched in the coordinates into the computer. I heard the submarine start up, indicating it was ready to go. Despite these steps and hurdles, I'm genuinely surprised how easy it was to fix up since Kovalksy made it seem like it had more than just an engine problem. I mean the submarine wasn't going to win any awards, but it's going to get its job done by taking me to Rapture.

Knowing how long this was going to take, I decided to rest a bit since it would be a few hours till we reached our destination, but as I was lying in bed, I began to pondered the idea of what could be there. Pre-war weapons were not easy to come by, but finding them can not only be valuable, but useful in my arsenal as I always would love to own something that is so rare and hard to find these days. I have a bit of a collector side to me. There also could be technological advances that we forgot we had at Rapture or even new ideas we had not thought of. Who knows, we could even have a cure for radiation that can save the thousands of lives that are still left in the world or have technology that can obliterate anything that moves in front of it. Man, I am starting to sound like the Brotherhood at this point. I shut my eyes and decided to catch some sleep before heading into Rapture.

I was woken up with a startle to the noise of the submarine hitting the side of something. I quickly got out of bed and made my way to the haul, opened the hatch, and got out of the submarine. The air was cool, and ever so slightly musty, but not the same kind of musty that you would expect in the wasteland. This was more like the smell of moss drying out. Aside from that, it was completely pitch black and I couldn't see anything except faint letters and make out a few silhouettes. I quickly turned on my Pip Boy Light to illuminate the area from my wrist and was shocked by what I was seeing. To my left I saw this weird spherical object and to my front I saw a counter with words I couldn't fully understand and some sort of sealed door behind the counter. To my left was a dark hallway that just only added to the creepy atmosphere I was feeling. I looked down at my feet and saw a faded red carpet that led into the hallway further like it was inviting me to go down it.

I turned on my Radio as the silence of Rapture was only giving me anxiety that something was going to pop out at me. The radio station immediately started to play Jingle Jangle Jingle as I made my way down the hallway. I think the darkness was exaggerating how long this hallway was, but it still gave me the creeps of what could be lying in the shadows after all this time. I turned left up a staircase and was greeted by a giant machine in the center of the room and to my right were some pods that looked like they housed something in them. I examined the table that had a bunch of lab equipment as well as a terminal in the middle there. There were some containers that were air tight, sealed, and hooked up to a device and that I could not open at all.

I decided to go up to the machine in the center of the room to examine it further and it was nothing like I had ever seen. It looked like it had this place where you could stand in with light bulbs of some sort surrounding the top of it. I looked to my left and saw what looked like a kitchen that almost looked like it was still being used even if it was hundreds of years old. Strangely enough, the place did not look as faded or decrypted as I was thinking it would be given how long this place was standing. Maybe the water and how deep we were underwater prevented it from decaying as fast as something on the surface. I found a terminal in the center of the kitchen and upon opening it, it looked like there were some logs. I read the first one as Big Iron started to play from my radio.

Day 1 (Sep 30,77)

When we arrived at the city, most of it was flooded, so we decided to set our base of operation in that lab. Had to destroy the lower walls of the submarine bay in order to dock.

I can't believe that I'm actually walking through this place!

Day 3 (Oct 2,77)

Learned about the individual who ran this place and what he was working on. His name was Y. Suchong and he were working in this lab. We've looked through some documents and they cover lots of things that we don't understand. Imprinting, bouncers, vita-chamber, mind control etc. A lot of work ahead.

The lower levels of Artemis suites are flooded, the higher are inaccessible, the metro system is flooded as well.

We believe we have found the remains of that Suchong and his last recording. He was killed apparently when one of his experiments went wrong.

Went through the equipment in the lab that is still intact. Stored some of it, including the DNA sample which we believe is imprinting related.

Seems like we are alone at the moment though we recovered some bodies.

Must learn more soon. So much more to uncover!

Day 4 (Oct 3,77)

Equipment for working underwater has arrived. So, we are going to launch some "scout teams" to the flooded areas of the city.

We were able to launch the local reserve generator. Even after all these years it was operational. Unfortunately, most of the power lines are destroyed beyond recovery. We were able to bring some lights online though.

Well this is interesting. It at least explains how much technology from my time they were able to bring here and seeing the data attached to this terminal, they had uncovered quite the amount of information. I'll keep reading, see what else there is.

Day 5 (Oct 4,77)

The Vita-Chamber appears to be a "Resurrection" device. We have no idea about the principles on which it works yet, but it seems to be able to "resurrect" a dead individual based on his DNA. (Was the sample we recovered intended to be used for resurrection testing?)

Vita-Chamber is in working condition, from what I can understand, however the requirements for power should be astronomical. I'm not even sure how they managed to maintain such projects without the modern level of nuclear power technologies.

Ordered an additional generator to be delivered. If it does what the documents claim it's an unbelievable tech that could change everything. We found some more of the chambers throughout the city but none of them could possibly be restored. The one in the lab appears to be a prototype.

Wait hold on what the fuck? How is that possible? Bringing someone back from the dead with their DNA? Who could this person be and if they did bring them back, are they among us right now? I got to keep going to find out what else is here.

Day 6 (Oct 5, 77)

Learned about plasmids and ADAM. We've researched the recovered human remains. Or not so human. They were altered in very unnatural and weird ways.

It's beyond anything our biologist can imagine. Imagine what we could achieve if we could understand and use that kind of tech?

What happened to this place after all?

Day 8 (Oct 7, 77)

One of the scout teams found some strange device in a flooded "Housewares" building. We were also lucky enough to uncover some of the documentation regarding it. It has to be a teleport of some sort. What else will we find here?

Day 12 (Oct 11, 77)

We've recovered all parts of the device and we'll try to rebuild it in the hall. We will connect it to the reserve generator for now.

There are documents indicating that the device was used to establish a link into the past, year 1912 to be exact.

A TIME MACHINE? For real?

I'll say this again, What the fuck? What was in 1912? I mean is this place even older than I think? Are we talking close to 400 years? I mean if this time machine still works, maybe I could go back in time to prevent the bombs from being dropped or warn my Dad of the Enclave showing up once we turned on the water purifier. I could save him from dying from radiation poisoning in that chamber. I shook my head to get a grip on myself. I need to keep reading to find out more about this. It could all just be speculation.

Day 13 (Oct 12, 77)

Collected a strange creature from the sea bottom. We believe it is referred to as a "Sea slug" in Suchong's documents. Researching the biomass properties.

Day 15 (Oct 14, 77)

The rear parts of the lab collapsed today. This place is highly unstable. A. Leroy and B. Jenkins are dead. Locked the whole area down in case it gets flooded. Hope we have enough time to salvage some more data from here.

Day 17 (Oct 16, 77)

The nuclear generator finally arrived. Had to place it in the docking area in the proximity of water. It will provide enough power for any tests. We've paired it to the local generator so that it would start at the same time.

Day 18 (Oct 17, 77)

Still researching the ADAM samples and it could be VERY big. We are finally starting to get an idea about what was going on here and this idea is amazing.

Day 19 (Oct 18, 77)

The generator is installed. We believe we found a way to key a vita chamber to a DNA sample. Need to run more tests and simulations but looks like we are finally getting to making it work and, what's more important, understanding the principles of its work.

Still no progress with the teleportation device though, our simulations indicate that the device activation would cause a massive CO2 ejection. Looks like there was a part of the device responsible for absorbing CO2, however we weren't able to recover it. It would take some time to find a proper solution for this issue. This will be our priority right after the "Vita-Chamber" device test.

If only we had all the technical documentation.

Day 22 (Oct 21, 77)

The Vita-Chamber initial test is set to be held in three days. Everything is in place now. We're going to use the DNA sample we found earlier in the lab. This DNA is definitely human and bears no signs of artificial alteration. We should be extremely careful with the power calibrations though. One wrong step and the power loop will cause the total overload. We have the alarm system but still have to keep men monitoring the reactor readings all the time when we finally get to the test.

Day 24 (Oct 23, 77)

Just got an automated emergency message on an encrypted military channel. Says that we must leave everything and return to base immediately on a submarine. All normal communications are down, and no one responds, including our home base and the ship waiting for us at the surface.

What's going on?

I collected myself and sat back in the chair after reading everything. Holy fucking shit. Time travel devices and bringing people back to life. This is just incredible. This is something that my comics from when I was a kid only talked about and would give me dreams of wanting to bring back people like my mother. Not only that, whatever these ADAM and Plasmids are, these could be the Pre War weapons I could maybe add to my arsenal provided I find them. Sadly there is not much info on them, just on the Time Travel and this Vita Chamber. Makes sense. These would change the course of human history and our capabilities on what we could do. Sadly, I don't think I could bring my mother back as her remains, wherever they are, would not be well preserved. But whoever this is, their remains could be used to bring them. It looks like they never got the chance to act on it, but I could. I just need to find a way to turn the power back on.

I looked over the kitchen counter and could make out power lines going into a room right next to the lab equipment area I had examined earlier. I figured that was where the power room was so I made my way down the stairs and was met with a giant generator that once again aligned it from my time with its design. So, it shouldn't be too difficult to fix up provided there are parts left over to fix it. I've got some experience when it comes to fixing things up like generators and what not. I can thank my Dad for that. I examined the generator and upon examination, I think it just needs some scrap metal, some new conductors, some wonder glue, a new sensor module, and a fission battery. I thankfully had some parts left over from repairing the sub that I could use so I used them to fix up the generator. Once I wiped the grease off my hands, I turned on the generator and the entire place lit up very nicely. It did not feel as spooky as it did before with all the lights on so I decided to turn off the Pip Boy light and my radio off but had my 44 on standby just in case.

I made my way back up the stairs and figured I could open up that container I mentioned earlier since the failsafe was turned off with the power going back on. I opened the container and was met with a few things as a wisp of cool air hit me as well as the containers lid sounding like opening a large can of Nuka Cola. I noticed there was a tube with a wad of black hair in it that had the label "E. Comstock" on it. There was also a brain submerged in a kind of liquid in a jar that had the same label on it. The brain looked mostly clean, but I saw that the top looked a bit smashed and the brain was more gray than I thought a brain looked. I also saw a note attached to an air bag sealed off what looked like some clothes and the only thing I could see was just a white shirt with a red ribbon around the collar and a pendant that had a bird on it in the middle. I started to read the note.

Though the subject's brain is partially damaged due to a form of blunt trauma and may have rotted over some time, according to our research of the Vita Chamber, it appears it can easily repair the damage so long as the brain is kept in the best conditions. The hair sample can also help repair further damage and the clothes are a precaution in case the subject appears without any clothes.

The note wasn't signed but I could tell it came from the scientists. There is still one question on my mind. If this person's body was hundreds of years old, how is their brain still preserved so well after all this time? I'm not sure how it's possible, but who knows what people had before the bombs dropped. For all I know, this liquid could have been the key to keeping any human organ preserved as best as possible for hundreds of years. I also noticed in the box there was a large rolled up paper, and when I unraveled it, it revealed itself to be a larger version of the painting I had received earlier. I rolled up the painting again and put it back in my bag. I also gathered everything else and got it ready to take to the Vita Chamber, which according to the notes, was behind the counter I had seen behind that sealed door. When I made my way back to the counter, the sealed door was open and I walked down it to be greeted by pipes along both sides of the wall. I could hear my boots echoing against the metal grate lining the hallway. As I entered the lab area, I noticed this strange robot like thing on the floor. It had a tank on the back of it and its right hand had a drill for a hand. Not only that, it looked like a human could fit in this thing. Maybe it could have been power armor for people back then or something else entirely.

I walked around it and continued to observe the place. It looked like what you would expect from a science lab. Black and white checkered tiles on the floor to standard office chairs with more terminals from my time accompanying. There were even light brown counters and cabinets with empty flasks and vials. I noticed a light illuminating another one of those armor suits on a table which only showed to me that these scientists were studying these armor pieces and how it could be implemented for people today. However, I noticed a chalkboard to the left that said " Imprinting solution NOT found in genetics!"

Ok, that's weird. I don't know what that could mean, but regardless I looked to my right and saw the bright green, luminated sign that said "Vita Chamber '' There it is. Though it's not what I was fully expecting. It's not as big or complex as I thought it was as I was expecting something a bit more. I approached the device and It was just sitting there in the middle of the room. It was just in the shape of a wide, brown tube that had some electoral components sticking out to maybe disperse the electricity. I looked to my left and saw a terminal as well as a chalk board above it that said "Vita -Chamber Project Ryan Industries" with a drawing of the Vita Chamber and had a few notes on it that read,

A combination of Plasmids reconstructed within a field of quantum entanglement results in fantastical restoration properties.

I have fast-tracked this project for immediate mass production and distribution throughout Rapture

This completes Stage One

NOTE - Though originally the chamber had to be tuned to the specific genetic frequency of an Andrew Ryan in order to proceed with distribution, we were successful in reverse engineered to allow the subjects to be used as a substitute.

Maybe that was the name of the group of the scientists that came here and that note proved they made a good amount of progress. On that note, I looked down and saw compartments that looked like they housed each of the pieces that were in the sealed container. There was a tub leading into the machine that looked like it fit the hair sample. I opened the top of the hair and slid the tube into the part. There was another compartment that clearly could house the brain as not only was it in the shape of the brain, but it had a device that looked like it fit around the jar. With that in mind, I took the top of the jar off and put it under that device. Finally, there was a slot skinny enough to take the clothes I had picked up earlier, so I put that in its right compartment. Once everything was in its place, I examined the terminal and pressed the button to power it on. Then, I noticed the green light on the processor next to the computer indicating it was waiting to be turned in.

"Well, here goes nothing. Please don't blow up," I said to myself and then pushed the button.

If this thing blows up, it could cause so many issues and maybe even cause the place to cave in on itself. If that happens, I don't know how I am going to get out of here. I'd hate to have an early grave. Immediately, the Vita Chamber began to kick and whirl with electricity and smoke started coming out of it. Noise of electrical discharge started to fill the room and I covered my ears with how loud it was getting. When the Vita Chamber stopped spitting out electricity and the smoke cleared, I noticed a figure collapse out of the chamber to the ground. It looked like it worked so far. I focused my eyes, trying to get a good look at who this was. Once I got a clear look, I noticed that it was a woman that looked around my age and looked familiar. Then a realization hit me, it was the woman from the painting I had received back in Freeside.
