Rain On Me
-x-
Laughter filled the air, something strange as of lately. After Kagome left for good, Inuyasha didn't want to be happy, didn't want to smile. It wasn't like he smiled much before, anyway. Now, though, he couldn't help it.
Miroku fell to the ground, and rolled down the hill, dragging Shippou with him. It was a funny site really. Inuyasha watched with a smile plastered on his face, from a tree not to far away from the two playing.
"Inuyasha!" He looked down. When had gotten down there? Where was Shippou?
"Eh?"
"Come down here." Miroku chirped.
"Why are you all wet?"
"It's raining, stupid!" And indeed, it was. The heavy drops fell to the ground in a steady pattern. It was music to the hanyou's ears. Inuyasha leaped out of the tree, after a moment, and landed beside Miroku. The monk grabbed Inuyasha's clawed hand and drug him through the rain, laughing the whole time and soon Inuyasha joined in the laughter.
(A/N: Let's give them modern clothes! Why? Because I want to! -Sob-)
Miroku's white shirt clung to his pale skin and his hair, now let out of the little ponytail, was plastered to his face. Where they were running, neither knew nor did they care. Both, now panting heavily, stills clung to the other's hand.
They both slid to a stop as they came to a large lake. Miroku finally let go of Inuyasha's hand and slid his shirt and shoes off, then motioned for Inuyasha to do the same. After a moment of thought, Inuyasha did the same.
Grabbing Inuyasha's hand again, Miroku abandoned their shirts and continued to run. They didn't make it far this time, because Miroku tripped and Inuyasha tripped over Miroku, so finally they just both ended up on the ground, Inuyasha straddling Miroku.
Each panted, trying to catch their breaths, and Miroku gazed up into Inuyasha's golden hues. Inuyasha leaned closer, and closer, and-"Inuyasha, kiss me, please, just kiss me." Miroku cried, and Inuyasha obeyed, pressing his mouth firmly against the monk's.
"I love you Miroku." He whispered against the older boys lips.
"I love you too…"
Inuyasha would only smile for one person. He would only smile for Miroku.
