Jakob was busy spear fighting with Thalia in the arena, him using his Leviathan Axe while she used her regular spear. This had been one of the few common sights to see in the past few days since Jakob arrived at camp, had his spar with Thalia then offered to train her, Bianca, Annabeth and Nico. Silena had even joined in on the training as she needed someone skilled to spar with due to her best friend, a girl named Clarisse, being away from camp to do something for Chiron, Of course, Jakob wasn't lying when he said his training wasn't going to be easy, because he did not go easy on them at all.
Although, during the training, he did get to know more about Thalia, Silena and Annabeth. For Thalia, she likes eating burgers. Specifically cheeseburgers. That was nothing really surprising, since Jakob loved pizza himself and had tried Cheeseburgers out of a McDonalds at one point. Though they did get into arguments as to which food was better. Which led to spars, to shouting matches, though they had no ill intent. Two, she was deathly afraid of heights. At this, Jakob admitted that he broke down in laughter and teased her about this. This caused her to launch a bolt of lightning at him in anger. He survived, obviously, He was so confused as to why the daughter of Zeus, the sky god, was afraid of heights. He found this out when he questioned why she never flew, being the daughter of Zeus. She trusted to reveal it to him in secret.
He had no plausible, logical reason why she was afraid of heights, but Thalia was deathly afraid of them. And having a fear was reasonable, even though hers wasn't. So he respected her fear and never told anyone about it, to which she was thankful. Though he did plan to help her overcome her fear.
She inquired about if Thor can fly like in the comics. Jakob replied saying that the Marvel Comics Thor had to spin his hammer and then throw it while hanging on in order to fly. But Jakob told her that that was not true as Thor can fly without having to do that.
As both fought in the arena, they were caked in sweat. Jakob didn't mind, though he was extremely thankful for this. He could see Thalia's sweaty form as her T-shirt clung to her frame as she breathed in deeply, and absolutely loved the form of her breasts. The son of Thor shook his head, now wasn't the time.
He frosted up his axe and threw it with a grunt, causing Thalia to raise her shield and block it but Jakob had thrown with enough force that the impact made Thalia slide back on her feet before the axe was recalled. Thalia lowered her shield only for her eyes to widen as she was shoulder-bashed by Jakob, who then judo flipped her and slammed her into the ground. Thalia rolled around and delivered a spinning kick right into the side of Jakob's head, causing him to back off.
"Good. You're improving." Jakob complimented.
"I have a good teacher." Thalia smirked at him.
"Flattery won't make me ease up on you." Jakob chuckled.
"Wasn't planning that." Thalia replied.
Jakob had told Thalia, Bianca, Annabeth and Silena that they'll have to train in hand-to-hand combat, instead of just using weapons all the time. There will always come a situation where they will be without a weapon, and so they must resort to the ones they were born with... their fists and feet.
Jakob hooked the axe to his belt loop and Thalia stabbed her spear into the ground and tossed her shield aside, giving him the 'bring it' gesture which made him smirk before he replicated it, making her eyes narrow before she charged and threw a punch but Jakob ducked and landed a blow into her stomach but Thalia gritted her teeth through it and elbowed him in the side of the head, only for Jakob to tackle her down and pin her to the floor.
"Give up?" Jakob asked with a smirk as he held her hands down. "I quite enjoy the sight of you under me like this."
Thalia blushed but couldn't help but smirk back as adrenaline coursed through her. "Bet you wouldn't mind it more if I was naked."
"Well..." Jakob trailed off with a shrug and a smirk. He then got off her, much to her silent disappointment but she did it as he offered her a hand up which she took. "You're getting better, Thalia. You and the others."
Thalia nodded. "So, will you start training me on my lightning powers?"
Jakob nodded. "Yes. Now, for this you'll have to clear your mind and focus it. Remove all distraction and focus on the lightning inside you. Your powers are tied to your emotions. Anger can be a weapon, if you control it, use it. When we first started, you got upset that you lost focus."
"I know, and I'm sorry about that." Thalia sighed.
"Do not be sorry. Be better." Jakob advised her, getting a nod as she took that to heart. "You ready?"
"Yeah." Thalia gave him a determined look. "Let's do this."
As the two continued to work on making Thalia's lightning powers stronger, Bianca, Annabeth, Silena and Nico watched from the sidelines, having been through their own training sessions with Jakob since very early morning and it was not coming up for lunchtime. Bianca had her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed at Thalia, jealous at when the girl would purposefully press her body against Jakob's and flirt with him. Silena also did it, as Jakob wanted to resist her Charmspeak through strong will, which he managed to do so during one of his spars with her, but Silena used her body and good looks to catch Jakob off guard before tripping him up and straddling him, claiming victory.
The daughter of Aphrodite had made no move to get off him quickly.
'Curse his good looks.' Bianca thought. In the first few months she had known Jakob, she had grown a crush on him. And why wouldn't she? He was handsome, smart, confident, helped her and Nico, helped her learn to relax and not have to worry or watch over Nico all the time. If it wasn't for him being in her life, she might've actually joined the Hunters of Artemis just to get away from the idea of responsibility, but she's glad that didn't happen. She didn't want to leave her brother, regardless of if he'd be looked after by everyone here.
Though considering when everyone found out who their father was, nobody had made any move to be their friend and always looked scared of them. Bianca didn't want to imagine that if Jakob wasn't in their lives, and Bianca had joined the Hunters, then Nico would've probably been bullied just because of him being the son of Hades.
So of course, Bianca's crush grew stronger into genuine feelings... she was in love with him. She, the daughter of Hades, was in love with the son of Thor.
And he also had other girls pining for him since she's seen the looks the girls in camp, including Thalia, Silena and Annabeth, gave him, Thalia made no move to hide it as she flirted with Jakob a lot, using sexual innuendos to which Jakob would reply with his own. He'd do the same with Annabeth and Silena, clearly enjoying when the daughter of Athena would blush while Silena just grinned at it.
With Bianca though, his expression was soft, and he merely flirted instead of trying to make her pass out from blushing, so maybe he replicated the same feelings she had for him.
'If he does, what to do about the competition?' Bianca thought, glancing at each of her rivals for Jakob's affection and love. She didn't know the extent of the other girls' feelings for Jakob, it could just be attraction from his good looks but... it could be more.
She shook her head, clearing her mind, why did love have to be so complicated?
"Mind some company?" Bianca came out of her thoughts and looked to see Silena sitting beside her with a smile on her face.
"No, just... watching the spar." Bianca said, wincing as Thalia blasted Jakob with lightning though he brushed it off as course due to who he was.
"You're jealous." Silena stated, causing Bianca to whip her head around to look at the daughter of Aphrodite. "You're jealous of the attention other girls give Jaob, including me, Annabeth and Thalia. I can sense it within you, being the child of the love goddess."
"I-" Bianca started but Silena held a hand up, her expression soft and understanding.
"I understand, Bianca. You've known him longer than us, and I felt the love you had for him." She said. "Just as I can feel the love for you in him, and it's romantic, not that of a sibling or anything, he does love you... but he is also having mixed feelings for others. he may flirt, but his conflicting feelings is what prevents him from making a move. He loves you, but due to his mixed feelings he is afraid of making a move and hurting someone, even if it won't admit it so he chooses to flirt with those he's attracted to."
"But... but isn't that wrong?" Bianca asked. "To have feelings for different girls?"
Silena chuckled. "Bianca, the world we live in, the world of gods, is not so normal as the mortals. Yes, the sound of a boy loving multiple girls sounds like something out of one of those Japanese anime shows, but gods have been known to take on multiple lovers at the same time. I'm not telling you this to hurt your chances with him, but to try and help put your mind at ease. You can't stand seeing him hurt, right?"
"Yeah." Bianca nodded.
"Then think on that. Because you love you, will you accept his feelings for other girls?" Silena asked, causing Bianca to remain silent as she looked at the ground. "I'll also admit, this may be more of my mother in me that's talking, suggesting the idea of a harem. But I'll tell you something nobody, save for a small few that I trust, know... I'm bisexual."
"Wait, what?" Bianca blinked as Silena smiled.
"I'm attracted to guys and girls, part of my genes since my mother has taken on lovers of both genders. And I'll admit that you are an incredibly attractive girl." Silena said with a smirk, causing Bianca to blush at being told that by a girl. "And Annabeth and Thalia are knockouts themselves, same with Andromeda but... she's joined the Hunters after what happened with Luke. Anyway, take a few days to think on what I've said. If we leave this issue alone, it's going to hurt all of us."
With that, Silena got to her feet and walked away while Bianca was lot in thought about what she had been told by the daughter of Aphrodite.
"What the Hades?!" Thalia shouted, causing Bianca to look and see Jakob had created a sword made entirely of lighting. "How did you do that?!"
"Help to watch anime and get some ideas." Jakob shrugged. "You jealous?"
"Damn right I am!"
Jakob was walking towards the Hades' cabin, needing a shower since he smelled like sweat from the sparring he did with the girls and Nico, who were all coming along great in their training. The Di Angelos were learning more about their abilities as children of Hades, being able to travel through the shadows and camouflage themselves in the shadows Annabeth's fighting skills were developing greatly. Jakob had told her that though she didn't have powers like others do, he told her that her fighting skills, her invisible cap, and her intelligence inherited from her mother is what she needs to be a formidable warrior. Jakob had told her that you don't always need to have superpowers to be a skilled warrior.
As Jakob was walking past the large hearth in the middle of the cabins, he suddenly heard a voice in his head. "Why don't you join me, Thorsson?"
Jakob blinked before he looked around for the voice that spoke in his head, but the only person he saw was the little girl sitting at the hearth. She was giving him a soft smile and a knowing look, so Jakob quickly came to the realization of who had spoken to him.
"Hestia." Jakob said, getting a nod from the girl.
"Come, sit." Hestia gestured to the spot next to her. "Unlike my brother, I don't fear your nor am I wary of you."
Jakob walked over and sat down beside the Goddess of the Hearth. "Gotta admit... it's weird speaking to a goddess in the form of a eight-year-old child."
"Hmm... let me fix that." Hestia said before she glowed in a flash of light. Jakob's eyes widened as Hestia 's figure grew and enlarged as her bust inflated and her waist widened. Soon the goddess of the hearth went from a mere child to an impossibly alluring lady that appeared to be in her late twenties. Fitting for the goddess of family as Hestia appeared to take on a form that screamed big sister or mommy energy. If she ever had a kid, Hestia could be called a MILF.
The Goddess of the Hearth suddenly giggled. "You gaze is flattering, but I'd appreciate it if you look into my eyes."
"Oh!" Jakob snapped his gaze to her eyes and winced, remembering that Hestia is one of the Three Virgin Goddesses, and one of the nicest and respected of the Greek gods, heck he respected her for having to put up with all the shit her family has done. "Sorry."
"It's okay. You are a boy with developing hormones." Hestia said with a soft, understanding smile. "Though it's nice to see someone finds me beautiful to stare at."
"And they say Aphrodite or Hera are the most beautiful." Jakob said, causing Hestia to laugh.
"Don't let them hear you say that." Hestia said with a wink. "But it's nice to finally meet the one who everyone's talking about."
"Let me guess, everybody on Olympus is either scared or me or wary I'm like my father?" Jakob asked a little bitterly.
"Well, Hera did reference to you as 'another butchering bastard.' She's never liked the Aesir, and Thor even less." Hestia said.
"Judging me before they even know me, why am I not surprised?" Jakob rolled his eyes. "To her, it's probably like dealing with one of Zeus' kids outside their marriage. Though to be fair. she is the Goddess of Marriage and I was born outside of marriage, plus I'm a demigod and Hera does 't like most demigods. So, what about the other gods?"
"Well, when Ares learned of an Aesir in these lands, he wanted to go fight you, even more so when he learned you are the son of Thor." Hestia said, getting a not from Jakob. He wasn't surprised the Olympian God of War wanted to fight him.
"He could learn a thing or two from Týr." Jakob said.
"Indeed." Hestia smiled, since Týr was the most respected and well-liked god of the Aesir, even some of the Olympians had to respect him since he was a God of War who fights for peace, using his power and wisdom to stop wars rather than start them. "Anyway, Demeter merely has a low opinion, seeing your kind as nothing but trouble, always drinking, fighting and eating nothing but meat."
"Well she's not wrong there." Jakob said, since his kind did love drinking and fighting.
Hestia then giggled. "She said that they'd be dignified if they put some cereal in their diet."
Jakob snorted. His father or Odin eating cereal? Yeah, that'll happen when Ragnarök begins.
"Hephaestus was more curious and interested about your weapon." Hestia said, gesturing to the Levithan Axe hooked onto Jakob's belt. "He's always respected the Dwarves for their craftsmanship."
"Well, it was a pair of Dwarves who made this." Jakob said as he picked up the axe and looked at it. "Though I'm not it's original owner. This was given to me by Loki, who inherited it from his father, who had it after Loki's mother died. Out of all the gods, Loki is one I get along with quite well."
"And he's not the trickster that we all know?" Hestia asked.
Jakob snorted. "Oh, he can be quite the trickster and pranker, that's true. But he's not like what the mortals depict him as. So, what about the other gods?"
"Aphrodite wants to bed you." Hestia said bluntly. "If she hasn't put her daughters up to it, she may come looking for you herself."
"I'm not even surprised to hear that." Jakob said with a sigh. "She's not the first Goddess of Love that's had their attention on me, nor do I doubt she'll be the last."
Hestia giggled, which was a pleasant sound to Jakob's ears if he was being honest, before she continued. "Athena is intrigued by you. I believe she wants to see how different Norse demigods are compared to our own."
"Well... not sure how to feel about that one." Jakob said with a blink. "So, Apoll's scared of Aesir in general because of what happened when he flirted with Sol, and Artemis... yeah she just hates guys and is babysitting me because her dad says so."
"Artemis merely believes you are only a threat if the ones you care about are harmed." Hestia said in defence of her niece.
"Damn right." Jakob said with a nod. "And what about you? What do you think of me?"
Hestia's smile was warm and soft as she gazed at him with an equally warm look in her eyes. "I think you are a young man who's had to experience hardships at such a young age. I can feel the hate you have towards your father, your grandfather and most of your family, save for your sister and Lady Sif, which I am surprised to see."
"She might not have been motherly to me or a mother figure in my life, but she did try to be nice for her daughter's sake." Jakob said in defence of his stepmother. "I can't ask anymore of her. I'm a reminder of her husband not being faithful, though my father isn't like Zeus, going around impregnating every beautiful woman he sees, though he wasn't exactly easy or that much of a caring father."
Hestia's eyes softened as she wrapped an arm around Jakob's shoulders and rubbed his arm. "If you ever need someone to talk to, Jakob, know that I'm here. I am the Goddess of Family. If you want to talk, I'll listen. I did the same for Thalia after she was revived. The poor girl was so lost and confused. She didn't know what to do, not sure how to adjust. It probably didn't help that her cabin has a statue of her father. So she came out here one night, and I invited her over to sit and just listened as she let out everything that she was feeling. I helped her relax and ease into everything, to adjust. She comes by and speaks to me when I'm here. I adore all my nieces and nephews."
"Has anyone ever told you that you'd make a great mother if you had a kid?" Jakob asked, getting a giggle from her.
"I've been told that plenty of times." Hestia said. "Anyway, if you ever want to speak to someone, Jakob, especially with your... family issue, know that you are always welcome to sit by my hearth and speak to me."
"Thank you." Jakob said, getting a nod from the Goddess of Family.
A few days had passed, and it was nearly a week since Jakob had arrived at Camp Half-Blood with Bianca and Nico. Jakob has established a routine, which is training Thalia, Annabeth, Silena, Bianca and Nico, annoy Artemis and her Hunters, especially Zoe and Andromeda who have been trying to gut him but have been too slow to touch him. When he wasn't training, he was either hanging out with his group circle (Bianca, Nico, Thalia, Annabeth, Silena and Grover) and speaking with Hestia who very much appreciated and enjoyed the company.
Currently though, it was Friday, meaning it was time for Capture the Flag. And with the Hunters here, it was also a "friendly" match, between the Hunters and Camp Half-Blood, of which the Hunters have won the passed fifty-six times, in a row.
Some of the campers had been hoping Jakob would join in, since if he was on their team, they would definitely beat the Hunters. Even Chiron had been hoping Jakob would take part in the game. Only for the son of Thor to reject the offer, saying he didn't waste his time playing some pointless game. His words were harsh, but he made it clear his kind took things seriously and not treat it as a game. it would be a spit in the face of his training and nature if he used his skills for some game of capturing a flag.
You can easily do that in video games like Halo.
Instead, he just gave them advice on how to actually beat the Hunters, they needed to work together. He gave them tips and hints to beat the Hunters, especially now that they've got Andromeda on their side. Though considering how Jakob saw her in battle in Maine, he doubted she was strong enough to cause a large wave to aid her and the Hunters.
It was decided that Nico and Bianca would guard the river, which acted as a border, where they'd be at their strongest. With the Di Angelo siblings Bianca having worked on their Umbrakinesis. While Thalia and Annabeth would make their way to the flag, with Silena leading a decoy team, to lure the Hunters away, giving them the chance to grab it.
Once the game had started, Jakob had watched along with Chiron, Mr. D, and Artemis, with the Moon Goddess smirking the entire time, fully expecting her Hunters to come out the winners, again. Only for her smirk to fade, when she saw the game going in the demigods favor, before being shocked, when she saw Thalia successfully cross the river, with the Hunters' flag.
The Hunters exited the woods with dejected and downcast expressions. Zoe looked miserable while Andromeda was death glaring at her cousin, Thalia. What made it even worse, was that not even a moment, after it happened, Thalia and Annabeth came running across the river, with the Hunters' flag, with the daughter of Zeus happily rubbing it in Zoe and Andromeda's faces
"Forgive us My Lady, we failed you." Zoe said, with the Hunters bowing their heads to their patron.
"It-it's alright Zoe, you all did your best." Said Artemis, still shocked that her Hunters lost.
Andromeda narrowed her eyes when she saw Jakob was smirking at them and she stormed over to him. "You! You did something!"
"Don't know what you're talking about, I wasn't part of the game." Jakob said with a shrug.
"What did you tell them? You have to have given something!" Andromeda demanded as Artemis and the other Hunters came over.
"Oh merely told them to actually work together, gave them some tips and advice and... what do you know, they beat your asses." Jakob said with a smirk. "Besides, it's only a game. It's not like you had something important to lose, oh wait... your pride!"
"Be silent." Artemis ordered.
"Or what?" Jakob stepped up and got into a staredown with the Goddess of the Hunt. Now, everyone's attention was on them. "You finally gonna do something? Turn me into a bear and have your Hunters hunt me down?"
Artemis flinched, knowing exactly what he was referring too and the story behind that.
"You know, you have done nothing to earn my respect, Artemis. Neither have your Hunters. All they do is bitch and moan about how unfair their lives have been, just because they experienced a bit of shit at the hands of some guys." Jakob said coldly. "Well, here's a reminder, women can be just as cruel as the men you've met. After all, Artemis, you murdered twelve children along with your brother just because your mother was insulted."
Artemis' eyes widened. "How dare-!"
"You murdered six boys and six girls JUST because their mother bragged and boasted of her progenitive superiority to your mother, Leto. I read the story." Jakob said.
"Thou shall be quiet, male!" Zoe snapped, while glaring at Jakob in pure loathing.
"Shut it, the adults are talking." Jakob said without looking at her.
"You'd do well to not to antagonize my Hunters, boy, or else." Said Artemis, standing in front of her Hunters, just in case they did try attacking Jakob. She didn't know just how much strength and power he held, as he no doubt held back during his spars with his friends.
"Or what? You gonna turn me into a jackalope? Or maybe you'll turn me into a bear. That seems to be your response to anyone, that pisses you off; turn them into animals, and then kill them. Like you did with Kallisto." Jakob said.
"Kallisto betrayed me and my trust, when she broke her vows!" Said Artemis, glaring at Jakob, who merely smirked.
"Is that what you tell your Hunters, that she broke her vows, and betrayed you? Tsk, tsk, tsk, Moon Brat, don't you know it's wrong to lie? Especially to those, you consider your own daughters?" Jakob asked mockingly, while waving his finger back and forth, as if disciplining a child.
"What's he talking about?" One of the younger Hunters asked, who joined the Hunt, only three years ago, with the other newer Hunters, also being confused.
"Nothing, he's just another lying male." Zoe said, refusing to believe anything Jakob said.
"Oh really? So you don't want to know what happened to Kallisto, what really happened? How she was raped by Zeus, after he failed to seduce her, by disguising himself as Artemis. How Kallisto was ashamed of what happened, and tried hiding it. But it was eventually discovered, and just how did Artemis comfort her Hunter, her supposed best friend, after learning she had been raped, by her own father?" Jakob said, looking between the shocked and horrified younger Hunters, and Artemis, who glared at him with glowing silver eyes, but he could still see a spark of fear and worry.
"She didn't. Instead, the great and noble Artemis, turned Kallisto into a bear and threatened to kill her, if she ever returned. Leaving her alone, scared, and pregnant, so much for being the Goddess of Childbirth, and the Protector of Maidens." Jakob taunted.
"Kallisto should have come to me, after it happened! Instead she hid it for me, and only revealed what happened, when she couldn't hide it anymore!" Artemis retorted, defending her actions.
"And how exactly could she have told you this?! That she had been raped by your father, while he was disguised as you?! How exactly was Kallisto supposed to tell you that, and not worry of the exact same thing happening, or being kicked out of the Hunt and left on her own?! Tell me, that you wouldn't have reacted the same way, and turned her into an animal, or kicked her out of the Hunt?! Go on, prove me wrong. Swear on the Styx, that if Kallisto had told you the truth, you wouldn't have done either of those things!" Challenged Jakob, his attitude changing to that of genuine anger and disgust, at how Artemis was trying to justify what she did.
This made the Hunters looking at their patron, hoping that she would prove that she was as kind, as they believed. Only for Artemis to not have a response, and couldn't look any of them in the eye.
"Would you have even tried getting justice for her?! Or would you have just kept being daddy's little girl?!" Said Jakob, Artemis once again not having an answer, making him scoff.
"Don't try and act like your kind hasn't done worse!" Artemis said, trying to turn this on Jakob.
"Oh, I admit my dad and Odin are the worst of my kind." Jakob said, already knowing how the Aesir were the worst of the Norse Gods, and that Odin and Thor were the worst of them. "My dad's the biggest butchering bastard in all the Nine Realms, and Odin is heartless and barbaric, just like your old man who rapes any woman that catches his eye, which leads to Hera being a vindictive bitch and going after the woman and offspring who were unfortunate enough to gain Zeus' attention."
"You will be silent and show me respect!" Artemis growled as she glared at him.
"My respect is earned, not given." Jakob retorted coldly. "And you have done nothing to gain my respect. Make an effort to actually do so and I won't air your dirty laundry before everyone. Only one Goddess of the Hunt has earned my respect, and she actually earned the title of QUEEN of the Hunt. And let me tell you... she's better at it than you."
With that, Jakob walked away to congratulate his friends on their victory while Artemis was still as a statue as her Hunters looked at her.
Before anything else could be said, loud thunder is heard in the sky, indicating Zeus was calling for a meeting. And since it was December 21st that means it was time for the Winter Solstice to begin.
Artemis and Dionysus flashed away to Olympus.
On Olympus, the Gods arrived and sat in their thrones.
"So Artemis, how's watching that hunk of a boy?" Aphrodite giggled as she leaned back in her throne, her long legs crossed. And since she wore a short dress, the male gods had a good view of her legs.
"Annoying." Artemis said with a glare at the Goddess of Love. "Don't understand what your daughter sees in him. Or maybe it's her mother's taste in men she inherited."
Aphrodite glared at her. "Hey! My Silena has great taste if she's attracted to the son of Thor. I don't blame her. I'd like to meet him up close myself~"
"And take him to your bed, because that's all you care about." Artemis said with disgust.
"Enough, both of you." Athena cut in with a look at her sister and Aphrodite.
"Oh Athena, your daughter likes him as well. Perhaps she shares your intrigue for him." Aphrodite said with a smirk as Athena gave her a look.
"Who my daughter likes or doesn't like is none of your business." The Goddess of Wisdom said coldly.
Before anything else could be said, Zeus arrived and everything quietened down. He looked at each of the Gods, giving Hades a small glare which was returned by the God of the Underworld. The King of Olympus then noticed one throne was empty.
"Where's Apollo?" Zeus asked, looking at Artemis.
"Wasn't he hunting the monster I was meant to be hunting?" Artemis asked, still miffed about that as she gave her father a look.
"He should be here!" Zeus said before he grabbed his Master Bolt and struck the sky, calling for Apollo to get to Olympus. However, there was still no sign of him.
"Strange, it's not like Apollo to be this late or ignoring the call." Athena said, a hand cupping her chin and a frown as she tried to work this out.
"Perhaps he's getting laid." Ares said with a smirk. "Too busy on top of a woman to care."
"You pig." Artemis scoffed at her brother in disgust.
"This is no joking matter!" Zeus boomed, silencing his son and daughter. "Apollo is not answering the summons. He's many things, but ignorant is not one of them. And there is the matter of him not attending to his duties in pulling the sun chariot."
"How long as this been going on?" Artemis asked with a frown.
"A day after he left to hunt the monster you were meant to hunt." Hermes said.
"Is it possible he's gone missing?" Demeter asked with a frown. "Do you think the son of Thor has something to do with this?"
Zeus' face started to turn red, most likely coming to conclusions himself, when Athena spoke up.
"I doubt it." All attention went to her. "From what Artemis said, he's made it clear he ran away from his family and there's no proof or sign of an Aesir God being here."
"There is Odin's ravens." Hera pointed out.
"True, but Odin has no good reason to capture one of us if his intent is to try and bring Jakob Thorsson back to Asgard. If the Aesir knew Jakob was here, Thor would've came and got him himself. I believe Apollo has either gone missing... or has been captured."
"Captured?" Artemis's eyes widened with worry. While her brother is annoying and gets on her nerves with his playboy attitude, and flirting with her Hunters every time he stops by her camp, he was still her brother. No matter what, she always looked out for him and cared for him as he did with her. "Father, let me go find him! My Hunters and I will pick up his trail and-"
"No!" Zeus stood. "This is no mere coincidence. The son of Thor shows up and then a day later Apollo goes missing and is captured."
"It could have been the work of the Titans, brother." Hades said, causing Zeus to snap a glare at him.
"They are not rising! We have discussed this!" Zeus shouted, causing Hades to roll his eyes.
"Whether you want to believe it or not, father is rising again. Hermes' boy has declared allegiance to him and the Titans." Hades pointed out, causing Hermes to look away at the reminder of Luke joining Kronos. "Use your head, or whatever's left of your brain. Apollo has been captured by the Titans, and you are blaming a boy that's got his own family issues and merely wanted to stay out of the affairs of the Gods until your dear daughter here decided to drag him to camp."
Zeus gritted his teeth as he glared at his brother before Athena spoke up again.
"It's the only logical explanations." She said, causing her father to look at her. "Father, you can't ignore the facts or the proof. War is coming. The Titans are rising again. Monsters that have not been seen or hunted in centuries are rising again. many demigods have disappeared and joined Luke Castellan, who continues to declare allegiance to Kronos. The Titans have to be behind Apollo's disappearance."
Zeus sighed. He hated it when Athena used logic in an argument against anyone, mostly him when he didn't believe something. He sat in his throne, thinking on what to do next before he looked at Artemis.
"You will go find your brother." He declared, causing Artemis to smile and she was about to get up and leave when Zeus spke again. "But you will take the son of Thor with you."
"What?!" Artemis looked at him in shock. "No! I'll take my Hunters! They are better than-"
"YOU WILL TAKE HIM AND THAT'S FINAL!" Zeus shouted with a glare at his daughter for speaking against him. "Just because your brother has gone missing does not mean you will ignore your responsibilities in keeping watch over a threat to Olympus. The boy will go with you so you can keep an eye on him and ensure he is not a threat to Olympus still, and to make sure he is not behind this nor is he with the Titans. That is final."
Artemis gritted her teeth but looked down. "Yes, Lord Zeus..."
And that's it for this chapter. Hope you all enjoyed it. We're getting into the swing of things now. I tried focusing as much on Jakob's time at Camp Half-Blood as I should, bonding with the girls, developing his relationship with them, annoying Artemis and her Hunters, but I knew I needed to get the plot moving.
By the way, if I use my Jakob Thorsson character in Marvel and DC stories, anybody got ideas on what his hero name can be?
