Chapter 3

"Another minute Singularity…" mumbled Ritsuka, as he yawned, walking tiredly. Merlin was walking beside him.

"Senpai, are you okay?" Mash asked over the comms. Ritsuka managed to give her a thumbs up as he continued on walking.

"Don't worry your pretty little head about it Mash, your senpai's just tired from last night, is all~" spoke Merlin, 'comforting' the Demi-Servant. Mash was confused.

"What did senpai do last night?" she asked, her innocence ever present.

"Its nothing, Mash. Anyways, are we close to the cause of this whole thing?" Ritsuka then asked, marking an end to the conversation as he does not want to be embarrassed nor to explain what did happen the night before.

"Ah, right of course. You're nearing the point of the minute Singularity, so its best for the three of you to…huh? Where's—"

Before Mash could even finish her question, a Demonic Beast crashed mere inches away from the Master and Merlin.

That was enough to make Ritsuka gather his bearings. "Merlin!" he immediately called, and Merlin twirled his staff to form a barrier for the two of them.

But then they soon noticed that the Demonic Beast was not moving. It seemed…lifeless.

Another figure then crashed on top of the creature, but this one, the Master knew.

He tapped Merlin on the shoulder and quickly approached who was once called the Berserker of El Dorado.

"Geez, don't scare me like that, Penth…" spoke Ritsuka, and the Berserker looked at him; a dangerous glare.

Merlin backed away a bit, but was ever ready to intervene.

A few seconds passed, and the glare vanished. "Tch. You needed to be fully awake, Master. How do you expect to perform well in battle if you're half-asleep?" she then said, crossing her arms, looking away at her Master in disapproval.

Her actions stunned the Master. The Mage of the Flowers then appeared behind him and whispered "Oh Master~ She's worried for you~"

Or it was supposed to be a whisper.

"I heard that, Mage." The Berserker spoke, now clutching the chains of her spiked balls.

"Ah, do pardon me, Your Majesty~" then said Merlin as he healed whatever wounds she may have.

"Hmph." She replied.

Mash was silent during the entire ordeal. She, too, seems to be stunned at the Berserker's unique way of showing worry.

Ritsuka then sighed, and smiled at her. "Thank you, Penth, and I'm sorry you had to worry about me."

The Berserker refused to look at him. "Such a pitiful Master I have." She spoke, and Ritsuka was a bit hurt at what she said.

"This is it," she added, "I will not respond to your gaze. That is just who I am." She explained.

Merlin walked past the two of them. "If you'll excuse me, I'll just look for other dangers ahead." He spoke, waving at them both.

"I-I'll keep monitoring if there is any change with the cause and keep on verifying your existence there, senpai!" Mash then spoke, logging off the comms swiftly. She must've felt embarrassed and nervous the moment her senpai and the Berserker spoke.

There was silence between them, and then the Berserker lifted her weapons off the dead Demonic Beast.

She sighed. "But I will not deny that gaze of yours, after all, I cannot deny that…THAT exists within me." She continued, and she leapt off the ground.

She passed by the walking Caster, and he stopped. "Very well, I leave the patrolling to you again." He spoke, as the Master then ran past him. "Whoa there, Master!" he spoke, chasing him.

"Wait! Penth!" he called out, but the Berserker vanished within the trees.

Merlin caught up to him, and he noticed that the Master's shoulders were slumped. "Ah, don't be down Master. You'll have plenty of time when you get back."

"Did you hear what she said, Merlin?" he asked, and the Caster somehow felt the little pain he was experiencing.

"Oh, Master, why would I ever eavesdrop on a heart-to-heart conversation?" he replied with a question. Ritsuka sighed. "How about you, Mash?"

Mash then came back on the comms. "I-I-I promise! I heard nothing!" she spoke. Ritsuka managed a smile. "Its alright. Let's just focus on clearing this so that we can all get back safely."

Ritsuka and Penthesilea were both inside the Room, and were both silent.

It was the Master who broke the silence. "You really…won't return the gaze?" he asked.

Penthesilea hesitated to look at him, but it was evident that she was blushing.

Ritsuka then walked closer, and the Berserker walked backwards; moving away from him, it seems.

Until she was backed into a wall.

"You know I can just crush you with my bare fists, right, Master?" she then asked, glaring at him.

"Can you?" asked Ritsuka, and this only made Penthesilea blush even further.

Ritsuka then caressed her cheek. "You finally returned my gaze~" he spoke, now smiling.

She blushed even more. "Tch…you're such a fool…" she spoke, as the Master planted a kiss on her forehead.

"But I have changed my way of thinking: if you can't help seeing me as a woman, and as beautiful…I just need my strength to eclipse both!" she spoke, determination obviously present. Ritsuka noticed there was a gleam in her eyes.

She then pulled him by the collar, as she was not done talking.

"Brace yourself, Master! You will have a front row seat to witness my power…for eternity!" she finished.

The Master blushed at how close the two of them were, and he slowly unclasped Penthesilea's grasp from his collar.

"Then I look forward to it, my Queen." He said, smiling at her.

The blush came back to Penthesilea's face at full force.

She looked away, once more. "Tch, I heard from the Mage of Flowers that you already charmed one woman. Aren't you being fickle, Master?" she asked, smirking.

Ritsuka was then a bit nervous. "T-That was, u-um…uh…" was all he could say, but the Queen finally showed a smile.

"That would work in my favor, as you would stop looking at me with that gaze of yours." She said, but Ritsuka merely patted her head.

"Now you know I'll never do that~" he replied, with Penthesilea blushing again.

She then pushed him on the bed, as he sat on his lap, the same way a certain Duchess did.

"Then," she softly spoke, placing her arms across her Master's shoulders, her hands behind his neck, "will you show me what else that gaze of yours entails…?" she asked, her cheeks reddening further.

Ritsuka smiled, and placed his hands on the Queen's waist. "Certainly…" he softly replied.

They sealed the deal with a lip lock. This is now Ritsuka's second kiss with another of his female Servants.
