As our heroes left Claw Town and the Jungle Fury Rangers the previous weak, they continued to go along their journey to find Sarah's real parents as they kept on following Magearna's beam of light. During that time, January came to an end which made it a month since they've left Alola and now, they're on their way through to the first of February as much had happened before during that time.

Sarah kept the Endgame Chest from Ming Wu's game inside one of Nebby's saddle crates, wanting to open it only when they found her parents and completed their journey. Without any worry of unsavory and suspicious eyes searing into them and their mythical friends along the way, the princess and her boyfriend decided to let them out of their suitcases and begin to mingle and bond with their new families.

With the threat of the Black Dragons gone forever, Faraji and her friends were all able to relax and be at peace again. So much so, that she offered to teach the young couple variations of Elemental Attacks on account of their being familiar with their new magic such as Air, Water, Fire, Vapor, Steam, Electrical, Ice, Snow, and even Bubbles.

The new training was arduous for the both of them, even with their Pokemon assisting in teaching them how to use those attacks (given that each of their special attacks are used according to their particular Types as second nature). But, with the patience and willingness to learn brewing from within them, the two were able to master their elements and the attacks that derived from them with ease including Hand Blasts, Ball Projection, Breath Powers, Vortex Creation, Wave Emission, Beam/Multi-beam Emissions, Infusion, Cutting Waves and more, even Healing.

But, even so, it was a challenge for them as they were also warned about the dangers of using their abilities for a prolonged period of time such as passing out from exhaustion and monstrous headaches after waking up since they weren't fully used to their new powers as of yet.

Despite that, Faraji reassured the duo that they'll need to have more time and training in order to become more used to their powers and not strain themselves as they have shown throughout their new training.

With February having just rolled in, the entire group was now making their way to a particularly peaceful seaside city known as Adventure Bay according to Magearna's beam of light. Little did they know, however, that Adventure Bay is home to a particular group of heroes that are not only more than meets the eye as they are but also adorable and four-legged who are always on hand to save the day when somebody "yelps for help" whenever they're in trouble.

It was on the coming of February 1st that Sarah and her family made their way into Adventure Bay as dawn broke and a new day is just about to begin. The princess and Race were riding on Winter and Thunder while Tsukumaro came along with Rumble (Charger's mate), Nikki and James came alongside them while riding on Ruby and Sapphire, and Magearna followed behind them on Orpheus. The rest of the group including Ash and the Pokemon School Gang were riding on Pyrrah, Drogon, and Zephyr (all three of them being deemed big enough for them and all their Pokemon to ride on).

While Nebby and Nebula continued to carry the Pokemon half of their family in their carriages, Sarah and Race through it best to return their mythical creatures into their suitcases so as to not spook the townsfolk and anybody else should they check out Adventure Bay.

"Well, there it is. That city over there is Adventure Bay just as my light beam showed," Magearna informed everybody, pointing to the seaside town where they could see a particular tower on the edge via a small chunk of land connected only through a suspension bridge.

"It's incredible," Nikki admitted, looking down at Adventure Bay below them.

"Yeah, that light beam of yours sure knows where we should go next," Race added.

"Right through here," nodded James in confirmation.

"What's the deal about Adventure Bay while we're passing through it to find Sarah's real parents? I don't get it," Ash remarked in confusion. "What, you mean you haven't heard what made Adventure Bay such a hotspot for some people looking for a vacation?" "Adventure Bay is home to one of the most unique superhero teams that made their name several years ago known as the Paw Patrol." "The Paw Patrol is a group of puppies, each with their own unique abilities and professions that they use for good to help out people in need whenever they yelp for help," Mallow, Kiawe, and Lillie explained.

"No way! Like, actual little puppies?"

"Unreal!" Ash and Pikachu balked in disbelief.

The Pokemon School Gang nodded but before any of them could further indulge Ash and his partner on the Paw Patrol and what they do, everybody heard the sound of tires squealing and frantic honking along with a series of frightened screams before they turned to the sources of the panicked driving. They soon saw a large double-tanker 18-Wheeler skidding like crazy as the driver panicked after accidentally spilling his slush drink on himself and seeing a baby turtle (wandering in the middle of the street to catch up with its family) that he nearly ran over and came off the side and along the rails to the right. The cables the truck caught on snapped as the driver tried to stop and he did. But, the danger wasn't over yet; as the driver's end hung over the small ravine opening towards the ocean, it started to tip over and fall before the second tanker caught itself on a few of the cables that haven't broken yet. Now, the driver was in a perilous life-or-death situation as he was left frantically calling for help on what to do.

"Oh no, that truck!"

"And, the driver, too!" "

They're about to fall over that bridge!" Sophocles, Lillie, and Kiawe cried in horror.

"We got to get in there and help him! Come on!" Tai Lung ordered as he directed Charger to approach the horrified truck driver.

"Tai Lung, wait!"

"Don't leave us hanging!" Medusa (flying on Spike) and Latias called to the Shiny Zeraora as went over to assist him.

"Well, I guess we don't need to worry about making that choice. Let's go!" Sarah ordered to her party, immediately heading off to join the quintet already on the move.

The others looked on and sighed but gave knowing smiles as they chuckled; they knew that look from Sarah anywhere and it looked as though her Pokemon and dragons are all continuing to pick up from her. They knew that finding her real parents was more important but even that and personal pleasure take second priority in comparison to helping out a soul in need of help. So, without any further ado, they hurried off to give the truck driver a hand. However, unbeknownst to our main group of heroes, a nearby sailor and a local friend of the Paw Patrol by the name of Captain Turbot was preparing to sail off on something he has on his own agenda before he heard the driver's calls for help as well.

"Hello! Down there!" the driver shouted, finally seeing him.

"Oh my, that's not good! That's not good, at all!" Captain Turbot blinked as he looked up towards the danger-stricken truck and its driver. "Good morning up there, friend! Looks like you're in a particularly precarious predicament!"

"Call the police, call the fire department! Call everybody!" the driver shouted in fear, not wanting to risk falling down to the sea even as his seat door opened and he hung on for dear life.

"You're in Adventure Bay. Here, we call the Paw Patrol!" Captain Turbot reassured, taking out his phone and sending out a call to said rescue team native to Adventure Bay and well known in the area.

"You're gonna call the who now?" the driver asked in bewilderment just as a new theme song takes place that officially opens this particular story in the adventures of Sarah Tomoe and her friends.

(New Theme Song - Seijuu Sentai Gingaman (Paw Patrol Ver.))

In the midst of Adventure Bay and transitioning to the bustling streets of Adventure City, the main titles appear as they run through the streets before they are officially shown as follows with the camera turning sideways showing them to be: "Pokemon Heroes - Enter the Paw Patrol".

Sarah and the Pokemon School Gang - Pokemon Heroes!

Paw Patrol - "Enter the Paw Patrol!"

The Paw Patrol themselves appeared as Ryder received Captain Turbot's call about the current emergency at hand and signaled for his main pups: Chase the Police Pup, Skye the...(AHEM) Sky Pup, Zuma the Water Pup, Marshall the Fire Pup, Rubble the Digger Pup, and Rocky the Recycler Pup to join him in the top floor of their home, the Lookout. Along with them came the newest addition to their team and family: Cadence the Winged Alaskan Malamute and the heart of the team.

Dash! Race around the whole, small earth! Paw Patrol!

Dash! Blow like the wind against the vast wilderness! Paw Patrol!

Donning their trademark uniforms and having been given their assignments by their friend and father figure, the pups and Ryder set off on their Pupmobilies to the scene of the disaster as fast as they could.

Roar, Scream, LOUDER! Paw Patrol (Paw Patrol)!

Do you hear it, the sound of stomping feet holding the earth?

Getting stronger, wilder, and higher than anyone's ever seen

Bring back the sun's shining light as it sets in the skies above!

At the same time, Sarah and her family were already on the scene as they surveyed the damage and what they'll have to do until the Paw Patrol can help sort out the mess. They looked over the truck's condition and made sure to survey the bridge before anything else could be done so as to decrease the risk of damaging the bridge or the truck further and not put the already-terrified driver on life support.

Go-Go-Go-Go, Paw Patrol! Go-Go-Go-Go, Paw Patrol! Let out your cries of justice and run, roar for freedom for all! Go-Go-Go-Go, Paw Patrol!

Go-Go-Go-Go, Paw Patrol! Cutting through the pitch-black darkness are our legendary blades!

As the theme song reaches its end and Sarah and the others had deemed the situation safe for taking action without risking the driver's life, they all heard the sounds of sirens and running tires along with the concerned shouts of Adventure Bay's citizens as they turned to the right of the suspension bridge leading out of Adventure Bay on their side and a crowd of them starting to build as they looked on worriedly. Amongst them was the Paw Patrol, ready to help out the driver and his truck along with them, unknowing of the great adventure that'll send the two teams on a collision course with each other, with the main titles appearing again and Chase and Nebby's barks being heard as the next main adventure began.

Pokemon Heroes: PAW PATROL!

"Alright, Pups, here we go! Let's work together out there; Rocky, I'll need you to shut down the bridge and control traffic!" began Ryder, greenlighting the rescue operation at hand.

"Arf, flares!" nodded Rocky, stopping his Pupmobile and sending out flares to block the cars and warn them of the impending danger.

"Zuma, I need you to keep the waterway clear. Don't let anybody under the bridge."

"You got it, Ryder! Waterway secured!" confirmed Zuma, placing his buoy lights under the bridge and the spot where the truck is hanging from.

Then, Ryder turned to his most-trusted pups: Chase and Cadence, as he had the most important job he knows he can give them, "Chase, Cadence, it's all up to you two. Use your Pup Pack winches to get to the driver and bring him to safety."

"Chase is on the case!"

"Right, Ryder!" the two pups nodded as they went to the edge and saw the driver's door opened, the latter unknowingly getting the attention of Sarah's group.

"There they are! The Paw Patrol!" cried an excited Sophocles.

"They're here, they're here, they're here!" cheered Togedemaru.

"Alright, yeah! Go, Paw Patrol, go!" agreed Vikavolt.

"They sure don't mess around given that they're professionals at this thing," smirked an impressed Kiawe before they all spotted Cadence with Chase and took note of her wings.

"Uh, guys, is it just me or does that pup next to Chase look like she sprouted a pair of wings?" Lana questioned, being the first to pick up on the malamute pup's trademark perk.

"You're right, who is she?" Mallow questioned, also seeing Cadence and her wings.

"No clue, Mallow, dear."

"Yeah, don't know," Tsareena and the female Shaymin shrugged in confusion.

"That's amazing! I've never known a dog or a puppy of some sort to have wings before, let alone an Alaskan Malamute," Lillie admitted.

"Hey, Rotom, are you getting all of this?" Sarah asked the Living Pokedex as he took pictures of the rescue operation and Cadence while recording everything.

"Yeah, no kidding, boop-boop! I mean, have you ever seen anything like this?" he questioned as he continued to record and take photos.

"The Paw Patrol is extremely flawless in their approach to any dangerous situation like this one and they're doing it so well, you'd almost be forgiven that they're too young to be heroes. But, that Alaskan Malamute pup with wings, that does not compute! Dogs don't normally have wings let alone talk! The only way that could be possible is if somehow was crazy enough to give that puppy a pair in a fairy tale, a fanfiction, or a game!"

"Like the one we're in now?" Lana deadpanned, looking at the readers and breaking the Fourth Wall.

"Come on, Cadence! Arf, grappling hook!" Chase barked, activating the winch in his Pup Pack and latching it onto the bridge before he jumped down and Cadence did the same.

"Right behind you!" she called back, following suit as she flew over before they met up with the scared driver.

"Sir, don't be alarmed, we're coming down to help you!" Chase called to the driver reassuringly.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! The rescue team is here!" the truck driver (voice reference - Tyler Perry) praised until he suddenly balked at the sight of Cadence and Chase as they appeared before him. "Two dogs, one of them having wings?"

"Actually, Sir..." began Cadence kindly as she and Chase looked at each other and smiled as they finished, "...We're puppies."

"Ah! Baby dogs, that's even worse! No, scratch that, WAY WORSE!" the driver freaked, his fear of being in danger taking him over again and doubting his rescuers (which they understood given the situation and that he never met them before).

"You must be in shock so we're not going to take it personally. Now, let's get you out of here," Chase stated just as the

"Come on, Sir, trust us! Chase and I are gonna make sure you stay safe but you have to let us help you!" pleaded Cadence, seeing that everyone's situation isn't getting easier just as the truck started to give a short lurch and the bridge cables started to give way to its greater weight.

"AH! Okay, never mind, I'll go with you both!" The driver finally relented, still terrified.

"Ryder, those cables aren't gonna hold much longer!" shouted Skye to Ryder, seeing the bridge cables starting to give.

"Let's go, Cadence, Chase! Get 'im out of there!" Ryder warned his pups still with the driver.

"We're coming up!" assured Chase as he latched his hook onto the truck driver's newly-fastened safety harness and got him standing along the door with Cadence supervising them. "Don't panic, Cadence and I need you to stay calm!"

"A-A-A-A-Ah, no deal, I'm freaking out," replied the driver.

"Then, you're really not gonna like this," Chase responded but not before Cadence noticed the truck finally lurching forward hard as its weight pulled it down and the cables finally snapped after he got them to jump

"Guys, LOOK OUT!" Cadence shouted to them.

But, it was too late; just as Cadence flew in to save the pair, one of the loose cables suddenly came at them and snapped Chase's winch in two as the puppy pair cried out in alarm along with everyone else watching, nearly hitting the panicking driver before a large blur came in and helped save him along with a second blur doing the same for his truck. But, another cable knocked Cadence back without warning and she ended up slamming into the falling Chase as they both plummeted towards the ocean below.

"OH, NO!" the rest of the Paw Patrol cried in horror.

"Chase, Cadence, no!" screamed Ryder, seeing his two pups fall.

But, Cadence and Chase's own rescuers arrived in the nick of time as two more blurs whooshed by and caught them safely before they could continue their descent into the ocean and everyone gasped and cheered in relief and happiness. The Paw Patrol cheered and barked excitedly and Ryder mopped his brow in relief as two of their own were saved themselves from a terrible disaster they couldn't escape from in time.

When the new rescuers were finally seen in full view, everyone was shocked and amazed over what they saw before them; holding Chase and Cadence as they started to get their bearings was Sarah riding Winter and the ones who saved the truck driver and his two-trailer 18 Wheeler were Shadow and Drogon.

"No way!"

"Freezing pupsicles!"

"Whoa, dudes, check it out! Dragons, real live dragons! And, there's a girl with them!"

"Pawsome!" Skye, Rocky, Zuma, and Marshall exclaimed, voicing everyone's thoughts as the crowd cheered even louder.

Reaching the safety of the bridge while the rest of Sarah's party came into view, the princess, Winter, Shadow, and Drogon, the latter two bringing the driver and his truck safely down as he continued to freak out and close his eyes in fear of falling, not realizing that he was safe thanks to of Sarah, her dragons, and the Paw Patrol.

"Uh, Sir, we're here. You can look now," Shadow smiled at the driver.

"It's okay, Sir! You can trust my dragon, he helped these two bring you to safety," Sarah translated, Chase and Cadence safely in her arms as she and Winter touched down on the bridge.

Even if he didn't understand Shadow like Sarah could, after hearing the older Night Fury's rider, the driver opened his eyes and saw that they were all on firm ground again and he realized that he had been saved. The rest of the Paw Patrol gathered to check on the man and his truck carrying whatever cargo it was in and they were also relieved to see him and their fellow pups in one piece after the awful fright they had.

"Oh, uh, he-he... We made it," chuckled the driver, feeling silly as he was let down.

"Great work, Paw Patrol! And, to your mystery helpers, too!" cheered Adventure Bay's mayor, Mayor Goodway, as her pet chicken, Chickaletta, gave an agreeing bawk.

"Chase, Cadence, thank goodness you're alright! How can we ever thank you for saving them, Miss?" Ryder thanked, joining Sarah and her party as her friends and family came over to greet Adventure Bay's canine heroes and their human caretaker.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm just glad my family and I and my friends were all at the right place at the right time, you caught us just as your pups and the driver were about to fall in the ocean after the truck finally fell off," smiled Sarah at Ryder and the pups before she looked at the two in her arms. "Now, enough about me, how about you two? Are you feeling okay after what you just went through?"

"Yeah, we're fine. Thanks," smiled Chase, feeling grateful.

"If you weren't weren't to help us, I'd say we were goners even with Zuma standing by should anything go wrong," Cadence added as Sarah let them go and return to their friends who happily reunited with them as they dogpiled on them.

"You and your dragons sure were fast in order to get to them. My name's Ryder and these are my pups: Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, Skye, and Cadence," Ryder said.

"We know, you're the Paw Patrol. We've heard much about you and your exploits," Sarah nodded along with her family and friends. "I'm Sarah, Sarah Tomoe, and you just met three of my dragons: Shadow, Winter, and Drogon."

"My name's Ash and his is my partner, Pikachu," Ash greeted as Pikachu gave a happy "Pika!" and a wave.

"Hi, I'm Mallow and these are Tsareena and Shaymin."

"How do you do?"

"Hi, there!" Mallow and her partners smiled in greeting.

"I'm Sophocles and these here are Togedemaru and Vikavolt."

"Hey, hey! What's up?"

"Nice to meet you, friends," went on Sophocles, Togedemaru, and Vikavolt.

"Hello, my name's Kiawe and these are my Pokemon: Turtonator, Charizard, and Pyroar," smiled Kiawe, his three Pokemon nodding in greeting.

"I'm Lana and meet my Pokemon: Brionne and Sandy," went on Lana, introducing herself and her partners.

"And, I'm Lillie and this is my partner, Snowy. It's nice to meet you," Lillie smiled as Snowy chirped happily.

"Well, it's nice to meet you and the Paw Patrol, Ryder. I'm James and this is my wife, Nikki," James introduced politely as Nikki nodded in greeting with a smile. "The two of us raised Ponchita here as our adopted daughter."

"Sir Ryder, an honor it is to finally meet you and your fantastic Paw Patrol. I am Tsukumaro Wong and I'm the princess' goddaughter," began Tsukumaro before the pups suddenly perked up and echoed, "Princess?!"

"Totally radical! Are you really a princess, a real princess?" Zuma gasped in awe before growing a smile as he looked at Sarah.

"Why, yes. I'm the Sun Princess from the Alola Region, we were just passing by on a journey to find my real parents: King Doug and Queen Delilah," Sarah replied. "But, we found out about the accident the truck driver had and your rescue operation when we saw your friend who knew you in his boat called you guys for help. That's how we found out you were here even though we heard about your misadventures and your past heroic deeds before."

"So, you heard about us, huh? Again, thanks for saving us and the driver," smiled Chase.

"I had no idea we were that famous," Cadence admitted before she looked at Sarah's giant family aside from her friends. "Wow, and I didn't even know we shared our world with those strange and cool-looking animals."

"Yeah, look at all the dragons!" Rubble went on, looking in awe at Sarah's dragons.

"They're huge, way bigger than the ones we've seen!" Skye added, staring in wonder at Pyrrah and Drogon as they and a few others including Sapphira and Zephyr towered over everyone present.

Sarah's friends were all surprised to discover that the Paw Patrol wasn't even afraid of Sarah's dragons in the slightest along with her mythicals and all of their Pokemon as they looked at each other, wondering what they should say.

"Wait a minute, what are you saying? Are you all not actually afraid of Sarah's dragons or our Pokemon?" Ash questioned, confused.

"No, why not?" Rubble asked innocently.

"You've never met our Pokemon before let alone Sarah's dragons along with her and Race's mythical creatures and they even have dinosaurs on them. Normally, the sight of any of them would leave people staring at us or at the very least, running away and screaming in fear," Nikki clarified.

"Don't you pups normally react out of fear or something crazy whenever you see something like Ponchita's mythicals and her Pokemon/dragon family?" James put in.

"Nah, we're used to that stuff," replied Marshall, shrugging with a smile.

"Truth is, we actually did come across dragons in the town of Barkingburg along with meeting its princess just like Sarah. And, we met some dinosaurs in another part of Adventure Bay from a tunnel network while joining one of our team's newest additions named Rex," Ryder informed, recalling his and the Paw Patrol's adventures in Barkingburg and the Dino Wilds where the dino pup, Rex, and Captain Turbot's sister and uncle, Taylor and Dr. Turbot, lived and studied its dinosaurs.

"Well, that's a load off our minds and you all must've had a frenzy after dealing with them," chuckled Race as he went ahead and introduced himself. "Anyway, I'm Race, Race Konami: Hoenn Battle Frontier Champion."

"Well, it's nice to finally meet you, Race. I've heard about the Battle Frontier and its champions but I never thought we'd ever get to meet two of them up close and one of them was Ash years ago," Ryder smiled back, shaking hands with Race and turning his attention to Ash as he just chuckled bashfully, rubbing his head.

But, before they could continue their conversation, Sarah turned back to the truck Drogon managed to salvage before it could fall prior and discovered that it was leaking something of a golden-brown gooey substance at the spots where the bridge's suspension cables had given out.

"Uh, guys, I don't want to alarm you but what's that coming out of that 18 Wheeler's tanker?" the princess asked, drawing everyone's attention to the leaking truck.

"You're right, the truck's leaking but what is that stuff?" Shadow inquired.

But then, Avel and Yamper suddenly sniffed around and then looked back towards the truck and its gooey substance, picking up something sweet as the scent wafted their noses and their tails started to wag excitedly. Then, the pair began to bark and squeak ecstatically as they couldn't hold back the sweet scent coming through their noses and bounded over to the substance, being very careful as to not touch it if it's what they think it is.

"Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet!"

"Sweet thing, sweet thing, sweet, sweet! We smell sweet!" they chirped.

"Sir, what's that stuff your truck's leaking over there and...Why does it smell like, like maple syrup?" Mallow questioned the driver who chuckled with a smile after she also gave a sniff.

"Oh, you're right on the money there, Missy. That's actually the cargo I've been carrying coast to coast; that right there is 100% pure Canadian Maple Syrup," he told everyone.

"Maple Syrup...? FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, FOOD!" chanted Yamper and Avel in their growing excitement, some of the younger Pokemon and dragons joining in as they knew what Maple Syrup meant as well.

"Then, it's time to clean up this mess the only way we know how! Ruff! Deploy waffles, pancakes, French toast, oh my!" Rubble barked with a smile, activating his Pup Pack to bring in several dinner tables cluttered with waffles, pancakes, and french toast much to the amusement of everyone.

"I'll have some!"

"Me, too!" cheered Sophocles and Ash, proceeding to take a plate of what they wanted themselves and scarf their syrup-drenched food down, much to Sarah's embarrassment as she held the bridge of her nose and groaned.

Then, she turned her attention to Cadence and Chase as the two were joined by Blitz and Curly, finding the frightened baby turtle that the truck driver managed to avoid still in its shell and wondering if it's safe for it to come out and rejoin its family on the other side of the street.

"Aww, the poor thing, he must be scared to death after he was nearly run over by accident," cooed Curly, gently petting the baby turtle.

"The road's not a safe place for you to cross, little guy," Blitz added gently, looking at the baby turtle sympathetically. "You could've been badly hurt or worse had the driver not seen you when he did."

After getting out of Nebula's carriage, the baby Jungle Pokemon and their older siblings also came over to soothe the baby turtle and get it back to its family.

"It's okay, little guy," cooed Chase to the baby.

"You're safe now and so is the driver there," added Cadence with a soft smile as Ryder, Sarah, and her Beast Bot, Solar, also joined them.

"You're very lucky to have hidden inside your shell when you did but you must be more careful when crossing the street," added Solar kindly.

"Let's get you back to your family," Ryder finished, picking up the baby turtle and taking it back to its family.

"Excuse me, you seem to have missed someone," chirped Swablu to a family of turtles at a nearby beach as she directed them to the rescued baby turtle who squeaked happily from being reunited.

"I believe this little guy belongs to you," Piplup added, nodding to Ryder, Chase, and Cadence as they let the baby turtle go to his family, all of them relieved to be reunited again.

"Great work, pups. Another perfect rescue, with some surprise help from unexpected places," Ryder grinned as the Paw Patrol gave proud howls.

"I must say, Sir Ryder, you and your pups sure know how to act and think quickly under the pressure and in the face of an emergency," Tsukumaro admitted after the rest of Sarah's family met up with the Paw Patrol after Melody, Echo, and Cantana managed to patch up the damaged truck and salvage whatever syrup isn't used for everyone's morning breakfast.

"Thanks, it took a lot of work out of us when we first got together and got some new members along the way but we got the hang of it," Ryder smiled in appreciation.

"Well, you all did amazing today," Cobalt replied, giving an approving and impressed smile.

"That was awesome!" cheered Skiddo.

"Wicked awesome!" added Dragapult excitedly as he applauded the Paw Patrol and Ryder.

"Even before Auntie Winter, Uncle Shadow, and Uncle Drogon helped out, you looked as though you were able to save that nice man and his truck all by yourself!" Fennekin peeped with wonder as she hopped.

"And, Cadence is a real first for us! I've never seen a puppy, let alone an Alaskan Malamute, having a pair of wings on its back before!" Rotom-Dex gushed, looking over Cadence's wings as he hovered over her and took more pictures of her. "Where did she get them, how did she obtain them? Are those wings normal for her, what are they, anyway?"

"That's one thing I'll never understand since dogs don't evolve to have wings as they're not Pokemon and the only mythical to have them is a Winged Wolf," Sarah rebutted matter-of-factly.

"Ryder, about Cadence and her wings... Where exactly did she get them?" Race inquired.

Cadence suddenly frowned as she became a little sad and torn over the subject of her wings, rubbing her front right leg awkwardly and being unsure of what to say to her family's new friends. Ryder and the other pups grew concerned for her as they knew what was troubling her; unbeknownst to our heroes apart from the Paw Patrol, the most recent member of the canine hero team had a traumatic past that led to her having her wings and being taken in after she ran away from who-knows-where with nowhere else to go to.

"...Cadence, it's okay, you don't have to tell them if you want to," Chase reassured as he gave her a gentle nuzzle before he turned to Race. "It's something about her past she's not keen on telling anybody apart from us and it's probably for the best..."

"...No, Chase, i-it's okay. I-I-I just needed to g-get this off my chest, maybe we can t-trust them with my p-past," Cadence objected softly, deciding to do what she feels is right now.

"...You sure?" Chase asked again, looking worried for her.

Cadence nodded as they shared another nuzzle before she looked to Sarah and her family and answer, "It was before I came to Adventure Bay and joined Ryder and the Paw Patrol; I, I...Was, once a lab experiment for a group of greedy and evil scientists and got my new wings from them against my will..."

Sarah and her family were speechless whilst the Paw Patrol and Ryder looked on sadly for their winged pup; her tragic origins were still a sore spot on Cadence and she wanted nothing to do with her past since anything back then regarding her backstory would only bring about pain and the terrible things she would've gone through that forced her to run away from wherever she once came from and meet up with the Paw Patrol sometime later.

"You, you mean you were worked on like a lab specimen for a mad scientist?" breathed a shocked Salamence.

"That's gotta be something like Frankenstein as in that movie we watched leading to last Halloween or with Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hide!" Flygon balked in horror as Snowflake fearfully huddled close to their parents.

"Only worse if it involved a puppy like you!" added a horrified Danny with Danielle nodding in agreement, trying to hold back tears.

"But, what I don't get is how were you treated like a lab rat of some kind? What was it that made those bad people give you those wings?" Keldeo inquired further, wanting answers.

"Cadence, do you mind if we...?" Sky offered sadly, getting only an approving nod from Cadence as Chase continued to comfort her as best he could.

"When we first found Cadence long before you came here today, she told us that she used to live with her owners who loved her very much. But, they were very poor back then and they couldn't afford to care for her as they wanted and things only got worse for them from here on out until they suddenly died and left her on her own to fend for herself."

"She roamed the streets of her old home for several months until those scientists found out about her and brought her to their lab," went on Zuma. "Then, they did their mondo-freaky experiments on her by combining her DNA with Eagle DNA which explained why she has her wings."

"Thankfully, the criminals that did what they did to her were found out somehow and they were arrested for animal cruelty. But, before the authorities could bring her to an animal shelter and tried to put her in a cage for her own protection, she panicked and ran as far away as she could before she ended up in Adventure Bay," Rocky continued mournfully.

"That day when she came to Adventure Bay was when we took her in and she became one of the family. We never knew where she came from and we didn't want to ask her for fear of bringing her past trauma to light so we just left it alone," Marshall finished, leaving Sarah and her family in a total state of shock and horror.

"Wow... We never know how badly you fared until you came to Adventure Bay," Freezeon whimpered sympathetically.

"...We're sorry, Little Cadence, we've no idea," Xena added, coming over to the winged Alaskan Malamute and rubbing her gently.

"Nobody, not even a little puppy such as yourself, should ever have to go through that kind of torture. And, it didn't help that the authorities responsible for arresting the criminals that committed those hefty sins gave the wrong impression when they tried to put you in a cage after deciding to take you to the nearest animal shelter," Tai Lung seethed, wanting to seek justice for Cadence's past trauma even though he knew it's not possible.

"I only wish there was something we can do to help you," Latias offered kindly. "But, do you ever want to go back to wherever you came from, to find out who was the one that made you into the puppy you are now?"

"Thanks, but it's okay now..." Cadence smiled softly, starting to feel better after she and her family got the truth out to them. "And, to be honest, I'd rather not. I'm happy here but I wouldn't mind figuring it out with you all and the others by my side..."

"Yeah, but we won't pry more into your old life if you don't feel comfortable at any time," James reassured, giving her a warm smile which she gladly returned.

"So, are you dudes and dudettes gonna stay a while, or do ya'll wanna split?" Zuma offered, wanting to know more about the Paw Patrol's new friends and what they've been up to on their end.

"Well, we have nothing better to do right now since we've been on our journey for a while now and we did manage to help you when you got into trouble," Sarah thought before eventually making her decision on everyone's behalf. "I guess we can hang around for a bit."

"Uh, hello! Earth to Sarah, your birth parents, remember?" Ash butted in incredulously, hearing what she said. "Your real mom and dad are waiting for us right now, what about them, huh?"

"Hey, come on, Ash! Lay off! We've been on the go for them for the past month and we still have a long way to go before we could even find out who might know exactly where they are," Sarah rebutted to the Kanto Trainer, pushing him away from her face. "Besides, I have a feeling the Paw Patrol needs our help if there's anything too big for them to handle despite everything they've accomplished. Where's the harm in that and helping Cadence overcome her past trauma?"

"Yeah, as much as I want to keep going for Sarah's sake... She's right, Ash," admitted Sophocles, coming over to Rubble and starting to play with him as he giggled.

"These puppies are so adorable! How can you say 'no' to their cute little faces?" cooed Mallow, loving Skye as she and her partners played with her instead.

"I won't mind checking out Adventure Bay, really. I want to show everybody how we do things in Alola and take back something they call their on to show to my family and all our friends," smiled Kiawe, having no qualms about Adventure Bay and sticking with the Paw Patrol for a bit.

"And, besides, there could be a clue somewhere here that'll lead us to where we'll need to pass next to reach her parents," Lana also noted.

"I'm sure it won't hurt to stay for a bit and have fun with the Paw Patrol, they're just the cutest!" added Lillie, cooing as she held Cadence and Chase with the latter blushing heavily over Lillie's affection and Snowy also feeling the same about the Paw Patrol as she chirped happily.

Seeing he was outvoted and noticing how quickly his friends are becoming great friends with the Paw Patrol, Ash (and Pikachu) sighed and relented. But, what they didn't know was that the clue that'll lead them to the next location to pass on their journey to find Sarah's real parents was in another part of the Paw Patrol's regional home and it would be the turning point of the Paw Patrol's lives that'll lead to their biggest mission ever to be resolved with the help of a new pup.

A few miles away from the Paw Patrol's seaside home of Adventure Bay, there laid Adventure City; a city that looked very much akin to New York City with its bustling streets, its thousands of residents and tourists packing the place from ground level to the top of the highest skyscraper, and its massive subway system crisscrossing the city network. Many people and animals have made this metropolis of a city their home and one that took great pride in living here was a female Dachshund pup that simply goes by the name of Liberty.

Presently, she was riding on a subway train as one of her fellow human passengers, a large yet gruff-looking man, was eating a sandwich from a piece of paper and crumpled it up before throwing it away near her after he was finished.

"Oh! Um... Excuse me, you dropped something," she called to the man.

"Eh, I'm done with it. Buzz off, ya wiener dog," the man scoffed, leaving Liberty incensed from the insult.

"Ah! 'Wiener dog', really, dude? Maybe you should just pick that up and put it in the trash," she demanded indignantly, looking up in his face.

"Oh yeah, or what?" the man challenged.

"Or, I'll MAKE you pick it up! Starting with picking you up and putting YOU in the trash!" Liberty snapped, showing that despite her size, she was not somebody you want to make mad.

This frightened the man as he reeled back in fear and squeaked as he gave up fighting with her, "Hey, hey, hey, okay! Okay, I'm sorry. I want no trouble, alright? I'm picking it up, pickin' up the trash, throwin' the trash away..."

"Thank you, we've all got to take pride in our city. And, don't you forget it," the Dachshund smiled approvingly as the subway came to a stop, signaling to her of what is her supposed destination. "Oh, well, this is my stop. See ya later, it's been a slice."

And, with that, she then hopped off, slid down the escalator slides, and arrived at Adventure City's main square where a meeting was held for a new mayor that was recently elected.

"Ladies and gentlemen, today is Election Day here in Adventure City. I'm your host, Marty Muckraker, reporting live from City Square. In today's reel, in a surprising twist, the leading candidate meant to take over as the new mayor has suddenly dropped out of the race which left only one name on the ticket-Mayor Humdinger of Froggy Bottom-who just won by default," the city's male news reporter, Marty Muckraker, announced.

Liberty scowled at the name of the man who's always tried to make life hard for the Paw Patrol and anyone else he comes across; she had heard about the mischievous and trouble-making mayor and his Kitten Catastrophe Crew on account of his misadventures, follies, and failures being reported far throughout the region and she didn't have many nice things to say about him and all the trouble he and his kittens were brewing (or none at all).

"Mayor Humdinger, UGH! Why, just saying that trash just makes my skin crawl," she scoffed in total disgust.

She tried to get into the meeting so as to find out what he was up to following his default election but his loyal goons, Rueben and Butch, got in her way and told her that because he hates dogs and preferred cats to them, she was not allowed to attend. But, that was a big mistake for both of them to make because, being smarter than either of them, Liberty fooled them by pretending to accept their demands only to immediately pull the rug from under them by sneaking inside with the help of a woman while acting like her scarf.

"Thanks for the lift," she smiled at the woman.

"Anytime, Liberty," the woman smiled back with a wink.

"Please, please, welcome to the stage, everybody. Now, a man for this city needs no introduction; he's literally the greatest human being on the planet and he's...Me!" Mayor Humdinger bragged as he appeared on stage with his Kitten Catastrophe Crew (his own animal crew donning the Paw Patrol's colors sans Everest's, Rex's, Tracker's, Tuck and Ella's, and Cadence's).

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, ladies and gentlemen. Now, as the new mayor of Adventure City, I would like to start by thanking all of you, each and every one of you, for voting for me to be your new mayor of your fair city."

"Wait a minute, Humdinger, you were the only one on the ballot after the leading candidate dropped out."

"How do we know exactly that you'll meet our demands and requests since we would've picked you to fulfill them and listen to us truthfully and honestly regarding what is best for us and our city?"

"And, what do you plan to do now that the results according to the default have been confirmed, exactly?" a few reporters asked skeptically, unsure of whether or not Mayor Humdinger would do the work and serve his constituents as expected.

"Pfft, well, you could only keep track of and vote for one name you'd like to have on you, anyway. So, in that case, what does it matter? I won this election, fair and square," Humdinger responded before he whispered to his kittens as they giggled deviously, "Well, maybe not fair, but who's keeping track, really?"

Then, when he was sure nobody would catch on to his ploy that he somehow cheated to become mayor, Humdinger continued, "You know, the people here call this place Adventure City. But, really, let me ask you this: what exactly is so 'adventure-y' about it? The truth is, it's boring. Libraries-boring, museums-hmph, boring, and those cute little dog parks for puppies and dogs of all kinds? Ugh! Definitely BORING~! But, don't worry, everybody. I've got big plans for you all; I'm going to put the 'adventure' back in Adventure City! And, trust me, when I'm through with this horrible place, you won't even recognize it! Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!"

Mayor Humdinger thought his new plan would allow him to one-up the Paw Patrol and get revenge after being humiliated one too many times but he didn't count on Liberty as she looked on worriedly, knowing what his "plans" would mean for her home.

Meanwhile, back in Adventure Bay, after getting fully acquainted with one another, everybody was settling down around or inside the Lookout, unaware of Mayor Humdinger's latest ploy to become the respected mayor he so desperately wanted to be and get revenge on his and his kittens' humiliation in the worst way possible for them.

Cadence was with Sarah and her family and friends as she demonstrated her Mighty Pup and Charged-Up Rainbow Mighty Pup powers that are infused within her Pup Tag ranging from her Wind Screech, Vine Generation, Puppy Power Beam (Night Vision), Invisibility, Water Whip, Super Speed, Energy Tools, Heat Generation, Ice Generation, to her Wind Power. Needless to say, her spectators were all impressed by what she was capable of doing since she was basically the entire Paw Patrol rolled into one and more with her unique abilities.

Tsukumaro, Sarah, and Race, in particular, were surprised and intrigued to see that Cadence had abilities that were associated with the latter pair's Solar and Lunar Magic from the Twilight Gem. They then proceeded to demonstrate to her their similar magic which had the same attacks as the Alaskan Malamute pup can perform, surprising and leaving the Paw Patrol in awe and amazement.

Either way, given the fact that they all knew Cadence hadn't been fully accustomed to her new powers yet, this presented him and the pups with the opportunity to have her learn more about them. And so, with his blessings, he allowed her to train with Sarah and Race as they all start to hone their abilities under Faraji's expert and sharp gaze.

"Good, good... Well done, Cadence, now concentrate. Clear your mind of any negative and unnecessary thoughts, focus. The rest is up to you," the Dragon Phoenix coached the winged pup as she generated a Water Cyclone and tried to balance on it until she started losing control and slowly regained it after finding her center of balance.

"Not bad, then. Cadence, there's one thing everything in life depends on no matter what you do, that's good balance be it either physically or mentally, depending on your current circumstances. And so, the more you empty your mind and concentrate your mind and your heart on nothing as you fight your enemies like the Copycat, the less likely you will be taken by surprise and the better you'll battle to protect the ones you hold dear. Focus on one goal and then release, find your center, release whatever tension or doubts you have within you. Only then will you be successful in the end, you understand me?"

"Right," Cadence nodded determinedly.

"Hey, Cadence!" Ryder called, accessing her Pup Tag's communicator feature. "Come up to the Lookout along with Race and Sarah, we got a call and we thought you might be interested to hear it!"

"Okay, I'll be right there!" the winged pup nodded as she looked at Faraji who nodded kindly and nodded to the tower.

"Don't let me hold you, you've learned well," Faraji smiled, allowing her, Sarah, and Race to join her family along with the Pokemon School Gang and their partners that'll fit in the Command Center as they got the call from Liberty as she appeared on the screen.

As soon as they met up with the rest of their parties, Ryder picked up the call as they wonder who would be calling the Paw Patrol this time, "Paw Patrol, what's your emergency?"

"What, wait, wait! What? You answer your own calls? Ah! Oh, my, GOODNESS! I, I didn't even think I was gonna...OH! I can't believe I'm looking at the Paw Patrol! EEEE, I'm such a big fan of you guys! This is off the leash!" Liberty gushed happily until she took note of Sarah and her friends along with Race.

"Wait, am I seeing things, or is that... It can't be but it is! That's the girl I've been hearing about and her team, the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue! And, the Hoenn Battle Frontier Champion, Race Konami! Now, this is REALLY off the leash! I'm also big fans of you guys!"

"Well, isn't she an energetic ball of lovable fluff."

"Coming from where she is, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a happier upbringing," Nikki and James commented.

"Uh, yeah... That's us and if you heard about our exploits, then..." Sarah began, looking between Race and Ryder as she hoped for one of them to answer Liberty's call after her unexpected reaction to them and the others.

Race just looked to Ryder, wanting the Paw Patrol's boy commander to reply since he and his pups knew more about handling whatever emergencies on their end. In the end, he agreed and decided to approach the matter that Liberty wanted to address them gently, wanting to know what made her decide to call him and the Paw Patrol for help.

"Uh, so... Is there something we can help you with?" he quizzed, the Dachshund pup now getting back on track as to her reasons for calling him and the pups.

"Yes, yes, yes, sorry. My name is Liberty and I'm calling from Adventure City," she began to the Paw Patrol, calming down but not noticing Chase and Cadence gasping in shock and for different yet similar reasons while everyone else listened in. "Something terrible has just happened and it's something or, someone rather, I'm sure you're familiar with: Humdinger, the kooky fruitloop from Froggy Bottom, was just elected mayor...by default!"

The Pups (sans Cadence and Chase) gasped in shock, "Humdinger?!"

"Humdinger?"

"Who's Humdinger?" the heroes pondered, their questions going unheard of until Race looked to Ryder.

"Ryder, would you and your pups mind filling us in? Who is this Humdinger?"

"He's not somebody you want as a friend, our main Archrival along with his Kitten Catastrophe Crew from Froggy Bottom. The worst mayor in the history of mayors," Ryder replied, looking in disbelief.

"And, that's being generous," Rubble put in incredulously.

"They always end up making trouble wherever you don't want them," Skye huffed.

"And, they're so not cool!" scoffed Zuma in agreement.

"That bad, huh?" Nikki asked sympathetically.

"Very bad, every time he shows up to cause trouble, he's always doing it out of jealousy and money. He always wanted to one-up us so he can prove himself to be a good mayor when in truth, he's not!" Rocky confirmed.

"We've been following him and his schemes for years now every time he pops by when we least expect him and his KCC. From stealing baby dinosaurs in Dino Land to messing with the town and us for his own gain, you name it, he'll do it," Ryder concurred.

"What a jerk!"

"I didn't know you guys had it rough with that creep!"

"I don't understand why such a fiend as horrible as him could possibly be considered mayor and elected when he has an awful track record on him!" huffed Ash, Sophocles, and Lillie, hating where Humdinger was going and what he's done to the pups and Ryder and all of Adventure Bay.

"Well, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. If he got into his current position by default, I'll betcha he's done a lot of cheating behind the scenes just to become mayor in Adventure City if he's that desperate to humiliate you all," Kiawe scowled, now wanting to take potshots at Humdinger for his selfishness and dishonor.

"You're telling me, this dude's a disaster! And, if he unleashes whatever he's about to unravel in the city and destroys it, we won't have a home to go to anymore and it'll be ruined forever! We need your help and the Power Rangers to stop him, come quickly!" Liberty urged, ending the call and leaving the pups and Ryder with their biggest mission to date.

Throughout the call, unknown to the others and the Paw Patrol, like Cadence and Chase, Race also started feeling off when he heard the name "Adventure City" as he quietly gritted his teeth, narrowed his eyes, and clenched his fists while his face darkened. Whatever happened to him at Liberty's hometown had struck a chord within him and he was slowly starting to seethe. It felt as though he had a rough history with Adventure City some time ago.

The three of them remained stone quiet as everyone else took in the news and realized what they have to do, Ash having now realized that whatever's happening in Adventure City and involving Mayor Humdinger was more important than finding Sarah's real parents given the gravity of the situation.

"Wow, I guess this really is a big emergency and I'm sure your real parents wouldn't want you to stand by and do nothing. Even if it's never in your nature to do so whenever there's someone in need of help," the Kanto Trainer commented to Sarah.

"If this Humdinger character really is as bad as you put it, then we should look into the matter," Solar suggested. "We better see what he's up to and deal with him accordingly if he pulls a hair out of line and tries anything funny."

"Yeah, and by the looks of it, Adventure City is in big trouble. Sarah, I know I'm asking you and your family and friends a lot regarding this problem but we need your help to deal with Mayor Humdinger and find out what he wants to do with Liberty's home," Ryder said, turning to Sarah and everyone else with her. "If we're to help her and stop Humdinger from making things worse than they could be, we'll need all the help we can get. I know you still have your mission to find your real parents but will you guys come to Adventure City and help us on our new rescue mission?"

"Ryder, you know now that I never walk away from anyone in need of help. My family and my friends all know this well and given our own job to stop Team Eclipse back home, there's not a chance we're ever gonna say 'no'," the princess reassured.

"Count me in!"

"Definitely!"

"Yeah!"

"We'll help you and the PAW Patrol, Ryder."

"It's not even a question."

"We'll all help you and Liberty save Adventure City," Ash and the Pokemon School Gang nodded eagerly.

"We don't know what Humdinger is up to but we'll do whatever it takes to help you stop him and save everyone he's endangering," Nikki replied with James nodding in agreement.

"We'll all help you protect everyone who's in need of help no matter what happens to us," Tsukumaro finished in determined confirmation. "Thanks, guys. No city's too big, no pup is too small! Come on, Pup, pack your things. We're heading for Adventure City!" Ryder stated, feeling ready to begin his team's mission.

Everyone cheered as they were about to embark on another grand adventure between the two hero teams but this time, the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers are officially joining forces for this one. But, everyone's enthusiasm wasn't resonating with three individuals in the Command Center; while the pups all howled excitedly, Chase and Cadence didn't join in as they turned and went to the elevator with Race joining them, still being silent as a mouse but now brooding. Everyone noticed them leaving as they looked on in bewilderment and worry, realizing that none of them had even spoken a word since Liberty made her call to them and asked for their help on dealing with Humdinger.

"Chase, Cadence? What's wrong, you two?" Ryder asked, deeply concerned for his downcast pups.

"Race, what's up?" Ash inquired to the Hoenn BF Champion, only to get no response from Race as he turned his back on everyone and continued to stew in his emotions.

"I'm not going."

"Me, neither," Cadence and Chase answered boldly.

"But, guys, you have to come. They need us..."

"I'm never going back to Adventure City and neither is Cadence, that's that," Chase argued, feeling adamant as he nuzzled Cadence when she started to cry.

"Race, aren't you coming? Ryder and the pups need our help to deal with Humdinger," Sarah asked her boyfriend, being worried for him.

"I'm not coming, Island Girl. You go on and have fun, my crew and I will look after things here," the BF Champion replied gruffly, not wanting to speak right now.

"But, Adventure City and Liberty need our help!"

"You wouldn't understand," Race snapped adamantly before the elevator closed its doors and the trio went down.

"Chase, Cadence..." Ryder trailed off sadly. "What's gotten their leashes on knots?" Marshall quipped, not used to seeing his best friend/brother-in-arms and Cadence acting in such a manner (or worse and with a greater twinge of fear on Cadence's part).

"Or better yet, what kind of bee got up his boxers? Race doesn't usually act like that on a good day like today," Sophocles pondered in confusion, stunned by Race's hasty exit and snapping at his own girlfriend. "But, why would he shut down Sarah like that? That's just not like him, at all."

"Something's really riling him up this time and it's not Team Eclipse or anybody else," Lana noted.

"What's with him?"

"Don't know," Zorua and Sho commented as they shrugged.

"I've never seen him so tense and angry as that," Nikki breathed, stunned.

"I don't know what's gotten into him but he could've just put things a little gently to Ponchita," James remarked.

"I know what," Virizion spoke up, sighing as she looked to Sarah.

"Princess, I hope you don't hold it against him in any way but I know that look on his face anywhere from every other Pokemon my fellow Swords and I managed to save while on our journey in the Unova Region from a terrible disaster: resentment. It appears that by the tone of his voice in addition to his growing resentment along with his actions, he has a horrible past regarding Adventure City. But, what he was angry about the place, I'm afraid that's something even we don't know..."

"Bad history, you mean there's something about Adventure City that turned him sour on it?" Sarah blinked, getting a grim nod of confirmation from the Grassland Pokemon.

"Wait a minute... Sarah, did you ever ask Race about his past and what he had been doing before meeting us?" Mallow pondered, realizing that Race and his background are still a mystery to everyone on her and Sarah's side.

"You know, now that you mention it... I never asked," the princess realized after some thinking.

"But, what's this thing about Adventure City that's got to do with Chase?"

"Someone's having mood swings," said Lillie and Lana, curious about Chase's behavior.

"And, what about Cadence? She sounds as if she was terrified of Adventure City if she ended up crying like that," Rubble noted worriedly, having noticed before she left with Chase and Race that Cadence started to cry as she nuzzled close to Chase.

Ryder frowned sadly as everyone looked at him, wanting to know about Chase and the inner details of Cadence's origins.

"Chase has a...history with Adventure City and nothing pleasant came out of it. He has a lot of tough memories about that place he doesn't want to remember," the boy hero began, knowing why Chase didn't want to go back as he recalled his past.

(Flashback)

Several years ago, long before the Paw Patrol was first established and stationed in Adventure Bay, in Adventure City, a red pick-up truck drove up to the side of a road somewhere. The passenger seat door opened and an unknown person, presumably one of Chase's original owners, just placed a little German Shepard puppy on the street before the person and the driver went off. The puppy, now revealed to be Chase before he became the Paw Patrol's first-ever member, was now on his own as he looked at his former owners as they abandoned him and didn't care what happened to him while leaving.

"He was abandoned there as a pup. The city was so big and he was so small by comparison, he didn't know what was happening..."

Without a home or a new caretaker to look after him, looking around as the buildings and skyscrapers towered over him and giving in to his fears, he was forced to run blindly through the streets. At the time, Chase's fears and anxiety were running high as he was left alone in an unfamiliar place. He continued to run through the streets, miraculously avoiding being kicked at or stepped on by anybody until night came and he ended up at a random pedestrian crossway.

"It was a hard life for him..."

Poor Chase tried to find his way through the immense crowd of people that was crossing both ways in front of him but he was too frightened to move another step as he looked for a path out. Unsure of what to do next and fearing for his life, he failed to see a van driving right for him without warning until it was too late. Chase then whimpered as he saw the van and then closed his eyes, bracing himself for the crash that followed.

(End Flashback)

"The city can be a scary place for anybody, even a puppy, to be in when you're all alone with no one to look after you and help you out of a jam," Ryder finished mournfully.

Everyone was stunned by what happened to Chase back when he was still a tiny puppy and they couldn't help but feel a great twinge of sympathy and remorse for how hard it must've been for the police puppy.

"So, that's it..."

"From being a loving pet to being abandoned in an unknown area like Adventure City..."

"Where there are no friends or family there to help you out..."

"And, you're left to fend for yourself while everyone else brushes you aside or looks down upon you..." Kiawe, Mihimu, Aku, and Lolita sighed sadly, now understanding Chase's grudge against Adventure City and his plight with the place.

"Chase, he's had a hard-knock life after his original owners dumped him there," Keldeo added, also feeling sorry for Chase.

"Is that where you found him?" Skye inquired, knowing where Ryder was heading with Chase's backstory.

"So, that night after he was abandoned by his old owners, did you, kid...?" Terrakion asked Ryder.

Ryder smiled softly as he nodded in confirmation, "Yep, and I brought him back here to Adventure Bay. He's more than just a police dog, he was the birth of the PAW Patrol as its first member. Someone that I know is truly a hero deep down within him from the moment I first saw him and who just needed a little help from a good friend..."

But then, he frowned as he thought about Cadence, "But, as for Cadence, aside from what she told us before... It's also a long story after..."

"But, what happened to Cadence?"

"Yeah, she was crying earlier so... Did she also have a hard life in Adventure City?" Rocky and Rubble questioned gently.

Ryder sighed sorrowfully as he nodded and recalled as best he can what had happened with her after he and Chase first met, "Not long after I found Chase and adopted him, while we were getting along happily together, we saw Cadence wandering around the streets. Because of her small size, she was easily bullied and beaten up by other packs of strays roaming the place that saw her as nothing but dead weight. The people weren't better either as they would demean her and kick her about just to show how insignificant she is to them. There was nothing I could do to stop them but more often than not, angered by what he was seeing, Chase was the one who was able to get them to back off since he didn't want to see another pup having it rough as he once did."

"She was grateful after our latest rescue when she finally saw us two days later before running away and we saw her periodically afterward, always giving us a friendly wave and smile whenever she's around. But, after a while, she disappeared... We didn't know it back then but during that time before we moved to Adventure Bay, she was taken away and then experimented on by those scientists that captured her and wanted her for whatever project they were doing before they were caught. The trauma she went through left her with amnesia as she lost her memories after running away and then she ended in Adventure Bay years later."

"And, that's when she met up with us and settled down as our new sister and member," Zuma realized.

Ryder just smiled again, "Yep. And, after a while, she started to remember Chase and I and made us vow not to tell anyone else about her past unless she decides it right to do so..."

Outside the Lookout, at a nearby oak tree, Ryder decided to gently coax Cadence and Chase into coming with him and the others to Adventure City. Ever since he and Chase were told about her past after she finally remembered them and conquered whatever amnesia she had, Cadence had been adamant about not returning to Adventure City after the way she had been treated by everyone there (barring Liberty since she never met the Dachshund pup, probably). And, he knew that Chase also had bad memories about the place after he was abandoned by his previous owners before he found and adopted him as his first pup. He wanted nothing more than to comfort them as best he could regarding their rough pasts.

But, at the same time, with Liberty having called everyone to warn them about Mayor Humdinger and his plans for Adventure City, he knew that if they, the PAW Patrol, and the Power Rangers don't do something to find out what he's been doing and stop him, there was no time to waste. He knew that they have to save the last place they want to be in and everyone else in it for the greater good and so, he did what must be done, for their sake as well as everyone else's.

"Chase, Cadence, are you okay? Can we talk about this?" he began carefully.

"We're not going back to Adventure City, Ryder. We told you that already," Chase told him, still comforting Cadence as she continued to cry.

"I know you both had it rough back then but that was a long time ago. You have much happier lives now and you're completely different from the puppies you used to be; you've proven yourselves to be more than just scaredy cats, you're true heroes after doing what you could to conquer your fears in one way or another. Whether it was me by your side or everyone else's when the PAW Patrol first came to be and grew into what it is now, you're more than what you once were."

"But, what if things haven't changed, Ryder? What'll everyone back there think when they see us again?!" Cadence demanded, still crying.

"Don't you see, Ryder? That's the point! Their opinions about us won't change once they see us; we're afraid if we go back there and show our faces for the first time in years, everyone will still see us as those two annoying and scared little puppies and not the heroes you and everyone else thinks we are," Chase agreed, the two pups huddling close together as they shared another nuzzle.

"We're nothing like the Power Rangers; they fought for the greater good because they showed no fear in the face of evil. They've been through the likes of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa, Scorpius and his daughter Trakeena, Karone back when she was still Astronema after Darkonda kidnapped her, Queen Bansheera and her demons, Master Org and the Orgs, and now, two ranger teams are facing off against this Evox guy and Team Eclipse in the Alola Region. What if we make fools of ourselves and everyone else in Adventure City still sees it that way? We'll still look as scared and useless as we were back then in their eyes! They'll just be right about us all over again!"

"I promise it'll be nothing like it was when you both were little and nothing but outcasts. Everything will be fine as long as you have all of us by your side," Ryder reassured determinedly as he came by them. "Come on, you two, those people need our help. They just don't see it yet because we need to prove to everyone that you're more than just those scared little puppies I saw years ago. Besides, we're the PAW Patrol; that's what we do."

"...You promise?" Cadence asked as they finally faced him, her tears and her earmarks being shown clearly on her face from her crying.

"Trust me..." Ryder said simply, still giving them his warm smile.

"...Okay, we trust you," Chase decided after the two had their mental debate.

Ryder nodded as he continued to smile, "Now, can I get a double yelp?"

The two gave small yelps which prompted him to laugh, "Come on, you can do better than that!"

"Arf, AROOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"That's my pups! Come on, let's get to work!" Ryder smiled brightly, the trio going back to the Lookout to prepare for the trip back to Adventure City.

At the same time, Race was sitting on the edge of the beach leading out to the sea where everyone saved the truck driver from before and the baby turtle he nearly ran over. He was still brooding over the prospect of going to Adventure City which could suggest to anybody, should they pry into his personal matters, that he didn't want to talk about it. The BF Champion couldn't help but wonder why the people in Adventure City would be in danger given that he could possibly hold some misgivings about them and hold them in contempt for what might've happened to him prior to becoming the Battle Frontier Champion of Hoenn. So many thoughts ran through his mind as he recalled his previous life and what had gone on with the young champion before he became the person he is now. He didn't want to admit it but he now regretted deciding to stay in Adventure Bay as well and wanted to leave the place as soon as possible so he didn't have to return to Adventure City and at what he believed to be the worst possible time.

He soon felt like he wasn't the only one on the beach but he didn't turn around as he knew that the person coming up to him along with his worried Pokemon and mythicals was Sarah.

"Race...? Race, we have to talk," the princess began carefully.

"I told you before, Island Girl. You wouldn't understand, why bother?" the BF Champion rejected.

"I don't know, Daddy. But, you seemed pretty mad about going there when you yelled at Ms. Sarah," Bella interjected despite her father figure not understanding her fluently.

"I hate to say it but she's right, Father. There's something you're not telling all of us about Adventure City," Robbie added worriedly. "I wasn't around at the time but I could tell there's something really, really wrong about you regarding that city right now..."

"Come on, Daddy, we've been together for a while now and you still haven't told us what's eating your shorts about this Adventure City," Ella added as Race started to skip rocks.

"Is there something we should know, right now?" Neptune inquired.

"If you don't tell us what's up, there's no way we can give you a leg-up," Silentstalk nodded, looking concerned for his master.

"They're right, Master. You know how it is with humans and secrets; the truth will set you free. Tell us, what's been bugging you about this Adventure City place that left you taking your anger out on us?" Rune concurred but only made Race groan as he couldn't handle the pressure he was facing.

"What's the point of telling you what happened to me back then if you'll end up putting me down as everyone else had done?!" barked Race finally, having snapped and turning his back on his girlfriend and team in his anger as he stopped skipping the rocks he has on him and threw them away.

"Why are you taking your grudge with Adventure City so personal, Race?" Sarah asked, looking frightened for her boyfriend.

"...Because, Adventure City...Was where I was first dumped here and orphaned before I became the champion you see before you."

"You, you had a hard-knock life growing up there as well..." gasped Sarah in shock, now knowing why Race was also adamant about not speaking about Adventure City and why he wasn't so keen on returning as well.

Race took a deep breath as he clenched his fists, trying to control himself before he would be controlled by his emotions before he sighed and prepared to tell everyone gathered his story.

"To this day, I couldn't shake the worst memories of my life that started when I was only five..."

(Flashback)

When he was only five years old, Race was riding in a blue sedan along with two others who are his biological parents named Rosa and Jacob as they eventually pulled up to a store in Adventure City.

To say that like Cadence and Chase, he also had it rough while growing up in what was to be the last place he would want to be in would be an understatement. All his life since he was born, he was always the oddball of his old family and his parents weren't the most kind and understanding of him. They were amongst the worst of the worst; always concerned with their own matters and not giving their son any time together, considering him as an annoying blip in their own lives, abusing him to get him to do what they wanted or abandon him in places where they hoped he would never return from when he always did...

It was a nightmare for them as they didn't have plans to have a child to look after and they just wanted to spend the rest of their lives together without any children getting in the way of their own pleasures or a girl to do their bidding for them. Race had become a thorn on their sides and it looked like they could never be rid of him until one day, they decided to take drastic measures to ensure that he would never come back in their lives.

"It was hard enough for anybody to be out on the streets in one way or another but with me, my life with my old parents was just the worst... They were always thinking of themselves and not me since I was an only child and nothing more than fodder to them ever since I was born. They didn't take the news of my birth lightly since they wanted a girl to do their work for them or no children at all... I was beaten, abused, taunted to no end, abandoned many times in places where they hoped I would never come back from until I did. It was hell for them so they had to come up with something that'll put me out of their misery..."

Eventually, they came to an empty street in Adventure City where Race's biological mother just opened the door and he was shoved out roughly onto the street.

"Ow..." he quietly peeped, trying to get his bearings after this latest act of child abuse done to him.

"Well, happy landings, you brat. You've been nothing but an absolute thorn on our sides for years now and it's finally time you were put in your place," Jacob seethed with the fury of a child abuser.

"We never should've had you when we got together, you make us sick," spat Rosa as they soon drove away and left the heartbroken Race Konami alone.

"They finally had a plan in action and executed it to a tee; they lied to me and took me out on a drive, said we were all going out for a family outing to make up for all the times they've been nothing but monsters to me. But, as we arrived in Adventure City, I was abandoned on the spot. They left me for dead and that was that; I knew a little bit about being abandoned but I never thought I would be betrayed and have that sort of thing done to me..."

And so began Race's hard-knock life in Adventure City; living on the streets as he struggled to feed himself and make ends meet in the most basic yet uncouth of ways given his current predicament, the future BF Champion tried his best to live his life to the fullest but failed to do so. He made sure to keep away from any local gangs that are causing trouble and steering clear of the police at every turn so they wouldn't suspect anything and he wouldn't have to go back to the monsters that dumped him, all the while dealing with and surviving against local bullies that want to cause trouble just for the sake of their pride.

"I've spent a year on the streets alone since then but even I was shocked that I've managed to live that long despite my present conditions. But still, I knew I was different from the rest for some reason because I was abandoned and the people in Adventure City knew that as they did with everyone they see in the slumps as misfits and outcasts. Things didn't improve for me in the slightest and I couldn't take it anymore until after I turned six and met the man that would change my life forever..."

Sometime after he turned six a year later, poor Race was still struggling to live on in his present conditions. Life had been rough for him ever since he was abandoned and he didn't want anybody to trouble with or cause a stir over him after he was dumped and left for dead by his old parents. That was all about to change and his fortunes ended up taking a turn for the better when a man in his forties wearing a green uniform over an orange shirt and a waist pack slung from the left side of his belt walked through Adventure City and took note of him as he felt something off in the alleyway the boy was in.

Race gasped as he quickly hid behind whatever shelter he was staying in and didn't dare to come out as the man came over to his hiding spot. The future champion-to-be shook with fear as he felt the man getting closer and closer to see if his earlier suspicions were correct and when he finally was in range of his hiding place and his stomach growled, that was when the dam broke.

Quickly, after darting out and slipping from underneath him and out onto the city, Race ran for his life while the man, startled and surprised to see the six-year-old in such a ragged condition, gave chase.

"Wait! Don't run, come back! Wait! I don't mean you any harm, kid! Hold it!" the man cried out, doing his best to keep up with the frightened child as they ran, shoving through and startling the city folk passing them as they were minding their own businesses.

"It's okay, I understand! I saw it in your eyes before you slipped by me; you just wanted some food and you wanted a place to live away from these absurd conditions here in this city! You look like you've been living in those alleyways for months! Hey, stop! Don't run!"

But, Race didn't stop despite the man's concerned pleas; he just wanted to be away from anything that'll get him back to his real parents. He didn't want anybody to be making trouble for him since he was dumped and never meant to have a loving family unlike most.

"If you want to know I don't mean to hurt you, I'll take you to my home! I'm Brandon, the Pyramid King of the Battle Frontier, the leading trainer called a Frontier Brain of an organization designed to test Pokemon Trainers that accomplished valiant feats in certain conferences of the Pokemon League to test them and their Pokemon in terms of their bonds together and their combined strength! Hey! Hey, kid, wait!" the man, now revealed to be Brandon (the Battle Frontier's Pyramid King), continued to call out as they kept on running.

"I know; you don't want to trouble anybody thinking you'd be a nuisance to them! I know it's hard for someone like you since you've never heard about this stuff before including the Pokemon! That's understandable and normal for anybody that doesn't know a thing about them but I'll help you understand them and give you a better life if you trust me! I'll take you to meet some of my friends and our leader, the Battle Frontier's creator himself: Scott! They'll help you just as I will!"

Finally, when they arrived at a nearby park after Brandon promised the boy that he and all those in the Battle Frontier would help him, that was when Race finally stopped and realized that there really is someone who wouldn't see him as dead weight and care for him. He turned back to the Pyramid King with widened eyes as tears started to well in his eyes, wondering if he really is telling him the truth as he joined him and gave him a soft smile that contrast his no-nonsense appearance.

"If you're accepted and if you trust me and my friends to help you out of your jam, that's fine. I won't see you as anything less, none of us will. We'll look after you like the family you should've had if you've been left behind, they, my Pokemon, and I will make sure of that."

With that Brandon held out his hand for a handshake between him and Race. The six-year-old Race was still hesitant but feeling that he had nothing to lose now, he accepted and he was taken to Hoenn.

"Ever since that day, my life's been building itself back together and I started to be happier with Brandon and everyone in the Battle Frontier. After Brandon took me in and brought me to Hoenn, he took me to the Child Protection Services at Ever Grande City and dealt with the matter involving my real parents personally. Rosa and Jacob were sentenced to life in prison without bail or parole for their abuse and everything they've done to me thanks to him and he officially became my father. He raised and treated me like I was his own son; cooking and sharing meals together, playing, talking whenever something was wrong, he even introduced me to the subject of Pokemon after he introduced me to the Legendary Titans long before he returned them to the Sinnoh Region."

During his new life, Race looked on in awe at the sight of Regiice, Registeel, and Regirock as they beeped at him curiously, having never seen a human child like him before during their time with Brandon. The little boy's eyes twinkled as he couldn't take them off of the Legendary Titans and an amused Brandon could see something brewing within his son as he continued to look in awe over his Pokemon.

"Eventually, I told him that I wanted to become a Pokemon trainer just like him after being fascinated by Regiice, Regirock, and Registeel and he approved. He taught me everything I know including how to care for my own Pokemon and how to raise and battle with them. The training and the classes were tough and even the basics were tricky to get right but with Brandon's help, I was able to learn the ropes and was becoming an official trainer in my own right."

Over the next four years since he took him in and started teaching him about the Pokemon and how to become a trainer, the Pyramid King couldn't be more proud of Race as he learned all that there is to know about becoming a true Pokemon trainer. And then, the moment came when Race finally turned ten and gained his official Pokemon trainer's license.

"But, finally, when I turned ten and I was officially qualified to become a Pokemon trainer, Brandon complimented me on my hard work and gave me three Pokemon eggs for my birthday to celebrate the beginning of my journey. He said that he found them during his travels around the world before he discovered me in Adventure City seven years ago in the Sinnoh Region at Mt. Coronet and they've been living dormant as if they're waiting for someone that only they know would wake them up from their slumber."

As the pair and the other Frontier Brains and Scott (who had been introduced to him after the boy was adopted before making his future clear and were helping to teach him the ropes about being a Pokemon trainer whenever he was busy) celebrated his birthday, Brandon presented Race with three Pokemon eggs. The eggs soon hatched into the female Pikachu, Latios, and Latias he would come to know as Bella, Kit, and Ella, all three of them imprinting him as their father while everyone else and their Pokemon partners/friends cheered.

"That was when my journey began for the next four years; I've traveled through many regions with Kit, Bella, and Ella and we took part in some Pokemon contests that were happening along the way. I did lose a few and it sucked but I didn't mope around as I continued to learn something new about the Pokemon and their trainers by the day while also catching Raksha, Rama, Falcon, Calculator, Comet, and Blaze, my Blaziken sent to me as a Torchic from Hoenn's top Pokemon scientist, Professor Birch. And, of course, I even got Robbie from Alola. Eventually, at fourteen, I returned to Hoenn and competed in the Ever Grande Conference and won before my team and I decided to challenge the Battle Frontier and show everyone how much we've grown."

After winning the Ever Grande Pokemon League Conference, Race and his team prepared themselves to meet up with their Battle Frontier family and challenge them to show how much they've changed since then.

"I've battled them all and showed how much I had changed ever since becoming a trainer; Uncle Noel, Grandpa Spencer, Aunt Annabelle, Big Sister Agatha, Uncle Tucker, Aunt Lucy, they couldn't have been more proud of me when we managed to beat them. But, Brandon... Boy, was my dad putting me and my team through the wringer when we finally battled. It took my Pokemon and I three tries to take him on but on the third go, we finally beat him and I ended up becoming the next Battle Frontier Champion."

After he was finally beaten by his own son, Brandon couldn't help but give off a proud smile to see how much his boy had grown throughout his journey with help from every last Pokemon on his team. Even Scott and the other Frontier Brains that came to see the pair battle on the third rematch were impressed and in awe of how much stronger Race had become with his Pokemon team and after conquering the Ever Grande Conference and the Battle Frontier.

In addition to winning the Brave Symbol, the final Frontier Symbol of the Battle Frontier, Race was also given four Mega Stones that he and his Pokemon came across during their own travels while he was gone which were a Latiasite, Latiosite, Metagrossite, and Pidgeotite as congratulatory presents. This surprised Race as he wanted to find the stones for Kit, Ella, Calculator, and Falcon ever since he was taught about Mega Evolution but during his travels, his search had been fruitless despite his efforts. Thus, he accepted his gift as he and his Pokemon were now inducted into the Battle Frontier Hall of Fame and he was the happiest he's ever been in years.

"After winning, I went to Littleroot Town to take some time off of battling and be with my Pokemon. Then, when I was seventeen, I got a surprise phone call from Professor Oak as he asked me to join him in Kanto for a special offer. And, beyond that, after meeting you and your Alola menagerie along with Ash's old friends, the rest is history..."

(End Flashback)

"Ever since I was officially adopted, I felt like I really belonged with my family in the Battle Frontier. I always tried to push myself and my Pokemon to be better at any chance possible so I wouldn't prove my real parents right (which I did). I was glad my real parents were done for but their words and insults still haunt me at times whenever I sleep," Race finished, a stray tear falling from his eyes even though his back was turned to his Pokemon and mythicals and Sarah.

"...That is, like, the most tragic and scariest story I've ever heard," gulped a horrified Anga as she rested herself on an equally shocked Kistune's head.

"Yeah, if it wasn't for Brandon when he came to Adventure City and found me, I would've been dead years later..."

"Did you ever find out what happened to your real parents or hear anything from their detainers ever since they were found out and arrested?" Furaha asked gently.

"...No, I never did. They can rot in hell, for all I care... Especially after everything they did to me..."

"...Race, I-I'm sorry, I had no idea-" Sarah began, horrified over what she heard until Race held out a hand to stop her.

"No... No, it's okay, you never knew. Nor did you have anything to do with that, nothing you could've done, anyway. They'd be long gone by then even if you did find out years ago if you were there... But, sometimes, I often wonder how things would've turned out if Brandon didn't show up and became my father, how my life would've turned out had anybody else given me a chance there and not turned a blind eye on me..."

Sarah didn't know what to say; she couldn't think of anything else to say. How was she supposed to answer to what she had heard and what she and his team now finally knew about her boyfriend before he became the Hoenn BF Champion? Eventually, she left it at that and just hug him from behind, comforting her as best he could as he sobbed gently, his memories flooding back clearly.

After that heartbreaking bombshell from the BF Champion himself and everyone was told everything about what had gone down with him prior to meeting all of them after Race, his team, and Sarah came back, their friends and her family and the PAW Patrol were left stunned and aghast over his previous troubles involving Adventure City being similar to Cadence's and Chase's. Given that he knew nothing about the ultimate fate of his real parents after they were detained for parental cruelty and severe child abuse, they all agreed to protect him should they ever resurface (the chance of which feeling very slim as of now).

In the end, deciding to face his troubles pertaining to Adventure City head-on just as Cadence and Chase would for the greater good, Race relented and agreed to come with them back to his former prison of a hometown.

With everyone ready and in agreement, preparations were being put into place for the PAW Patrol and our heroes' biggest adventure yet. By late afternoon, everyone was ready to make their way to Adventure City to meet Liberty and see what Mayor Humdinger is up to. The pups had already got their things packed and were making their way to their team's 18-Wheeler bus known as The PAW Patroller (the canine squad's mobile version of the Lookout in the form of an 18-Wheeler bus).

Ryder and the humans went through the final preparations as they prepared for the road trip ahead and the boy hero agreed to have Sarah and her family put their supplies in the PAW Patroller as there was more than enough room for their stuff in addition to the pups' items.

With the Pokemon and mythicals, Sarah and Race kept the Mystic Squad sans Drogon and Zephyr in their suitcases while they, Nikki, James, Tsukumaro, the Pokemon School Gang, Ash, and their partners would join them in the PAW Patroller along with Bella, Robbie, Cocoa, Fennekin, Phanpy, Swablu, Cyndaquil, Piplup, Smon, Appletun, Skiddo, the Swords of Justice, Zeraora and Zorua, and Arriety and Sho.

The rest of the princess' family, in the meantime, would have to stick with Drogon and Zephyr or stay in Nebby and Nebula's carriages while the Berkian dragons and her Flying Types opted to fly above them (the former group deciding it best to once again keep out of sight so as not to cause a panic in Adventure City).

Soon, the pups were ready as they got their stuff together and entered the PAW Patroller with Ryder keeping track of them as he made sure his entire team was present and accounted for (taking only what they need for their stay in Adventure City).

"Right, Chase, Cadence, Marshall, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, a-..." he trailed off as he noticed Rubble with a luggage carrier as he pushed what looked to be all of his stuff in suitcases to the PAW Patroller, making him laugh at his youngest pup for his overpacking. "Rubble...!"

"It's not my fault, I couldn't decide what I wanted to bring. So, I brought everything," Rubble defended, trying to prove his point by rolling all of his things into the PAW Patroller.

But, the top railing of the luggage carrier caught onto the doorway, proving that it was too big for him to push it through. The little bulldog tried to force the carrier inside as best he could but all he ended up doing was tipping it over as some of the suitcases fell off and he ended up nearly buried in them.

"See, it fits!" he assured sheepishly, making Ryder give off an amused sigh as he facepalmed.

"Rubble, how about we help you with that?" Sarah offered, she and an amused Race having decided to take his things in themselves before they sorted them out until they got all of the bags into the PAW Patroller.

Once everyone was ready and Ryder was in the driver's seat, he started the engine and turned on the controls, the entire group ready to make their way to Adventure City to begin their biggest mission yet with their new friends and allies.

"PAW Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder declared as they soon set off as they all cheered, "ROAD TRIP!"

The pups all yelped and yowled excitedly with Avel, Cocoa, and Yamper joining in eagerly and the PAW Patroller rolled off while Ryder played Adam Levine's "Good Mood" on the radio, Drogon, Zephyr, Sarah's Flying Types, Nebby and Nebula (with their carriages in tow), and the Berkian dragons following suit. It was official; their road trip to Adventure City was a go and once they arrive, they'll begin to find out about Mayor Humdinger's plans and meet up with Liberty to help her on the matter.

Leaving the familiar comforts of Adventure Bay as they crossed the same suspension bridge they rescued the truck driver and the baby turtle from in the nasty accident prior, the pups and their allies all took in the beautiful sights and sounds of what's around them in nature's beautiful bounty as they went along the road to their intended destination. The pups were most excited because this was the first-ever time that they've ever been away from Adventure Bay's boundaries; granted, they have been away from Adventure Bay before but their trip to Adventure City was a first for them as they get to experience something that's truly unlike anything else they've ever seen throughout their missions and in their young lives.

The trip and what it had to offer along the way was more than enough to help Race, Cadence, and Chase take their minds off of Adventure City and their dark pasts involving the place and what they all had to go through back then. It was a much-needed comfort for them to prepare for what was about to come and they were about to make the most of it on the way.

On one stretch of road, a family of three was driving and came to the left side of the PAW Patroller where the couple's young son greeted the pups as he saw them, not knowing of their extra passengers.

"Hi!"

"Hi!" Cadence and Chase greeted back as Rubble and Marshall joined them and took notice of the child as he began to make funny faces on the window, confusing them before they smiled and did the same.

The kid laughed in amusement before he and his family drove off, quickly saying goodbye to the pups while they continued on their own trip to who-knows-where for their vacation.

A little later, Ryder turned the volume of the music up a little bit so that the pups and the Pokemon with the group can have their own little dance party in the PAW Patroller to keep themselves from being bored. Each of them took turns to do their own little dance which got some of the group impressed when they saw more playful sides into some Pokemon Sarah and her friends wouldn't know otherwise. Even Marshall was having a lot of fun, too much fun as he ended up tripping on his own paws, as usual.

Afterwards, the pups were now gazing out of the window as night fell and the stars and a full moon came out with Sarah helped Rubble out again with one of his suitcases. It was time for dinner and Chase looked behind them as his little brother-in-arms kicked his suitcase open, revealing it to be filled to the brim with pup treats, which got him and the other pups excited and hungry.

"Come and get it, you guys!" called Sarah to the other pups jokingly.

The pups, even a fully relieved and happy Cadence and Chase, smiled brightly at this as they all dug into the treats and ate to their hearts' content. Once they were finished with their dinner, the pups and everyone else gathered decided to call it a night as they fell asleep. Sky and Rocky ended up sleeping on Nikki and James' laps while Rubble claimed Tsukumaro's lap as his bed and Marshall and Zuma slept on the floor. Chase and Cadence, on the other hand, slept in Sarah and Race's laps in their current spots on the seats while everyone else made themselves comfortable as best they can with Ryder continuing to drive.

The following morning, the boy hero soon saw Adventure City in the distance and right away, he knew that they made it to their intended destination. "Wake up, everybody! We're here, welcome to Adventure City!" he announced.

Hearing Ryder's call, everyone went up to the front of the PAW Patroller front with him to see Adventure City coming into view. Many of them were in awe and fascination to see Adventure City in its full splendor as they entered and took in the magnificent sights and sounds that greeted them. It was a bustling metropolis akin to cities like New York City, York, Hollywood, Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, Dubai, and London as people were carrying out their daily lives on the high line make-or-break city of big business or hard luck.

"Wow!"

"Look at it!"

"Whoo-hoo!"

"Whoa!"

"Pawsome!"

"No way!"

"Wicked!"

"Totally awesome, man!"

"Cool!"

"Look at this place!"

"It's huge!"

"This place is so much bigger than Adventure Bay!"

"Way bigger, it's like they took the whole town and supersized it!"

"It's this region's version of New York City from the east coast of America!"

"That's for sure!" The pups, Ash, and the Pokemon School Gang gasped in wonder, taking in Adventure City's size and splendors.

Tsukumaro was baffled when he saw the numerous skyscrapers, apartment buildings, shops, restaurants, businesses crammed together into one melting pot of livelihoods and cultures. It was way bigger than any other place in Alola he had been to and seen back then and in the present day so this was something of a real eye-opener for him.

"...Uh, S-Sir Ryder, a-are you sure all c-c-cities are meant to b-be like t-t-this?" he stuttered nervously, experiencing some culture shock.

"I know, it's pretty scary since you're not used to it but everything's going to be fine," Ryder reassured knowingly.

"Let's all just stick together and we'll make sure nothing bad happens to us while we're here," Nikki agreed.

"Oh! Guys, I just realized; remember that little surprise Mother told us about last week when we told her we'd be passing through Adventure Bay and here on our journey?" Lillie asked her friends.

"Yeah, what did she say?"

"What's she planning?" Mallow and Lana inquired.

"Well, I've just heard from her that the Aether Foundation and Grid Battleforce have constructed a base for us and the PAW Patrol when we mentioned their escapades with villains like Humdinger and the Copycat."

"No way! Our own Power Rangers and PAW Patrol base in Adventure City?"

"Really?"

"They really did that for us?"

"COOL!" Skye, Marshall, Rocky, and Rubble cheered excitedly when they heard.

"I get it; so that must be the surprise Lusamine was alluding us to last week," Kiawe smiled.

"This is gonna be great!"

"It will be!" Ash and Lana agreed eagerly.

But, everyone's happiness wasn't shared by everyone; Cadence and Chase were letting their nerves and their tragic pasts of being in Adventure City ever since they returned. Looking at the tall skyscrapers around them, they felt smaller and much more insignificant while the winged malamute gulped and started to shake a little with fear; they didn't want to come back here and they were starting to regret going along with the team and their new friends. Even Race wasn't doing well as he started to feel twitchy and ready to bolt out of the city when the chance came, his bad memories starting to flood back into his mind as he recalled them; reactions from all three of them that Sarh and Ryder took notice of.

"Chase, Cadence, you okay?" he questioned, concerned for them again.

"Uh, y-yeah, Ryder... No problem, heh..."

"Yeah, gee... It's, uh... Much bigger and more crowded, than I remember it," the two pups replied as they gave anxious smiles, leaving Ryder to nod uncertainly as he faced the road and continued to drive to their new Power Rangers/PAW Patrol headquarters.

Race narrowed his eyes as he tried to control himself while clenching his fists, feeling the need to take his resurfacing frustrations out at anything in response to his hard-knock life his real parents forced him into. But, he was soothed by Sarah as she held him and gave him a reassuring nod and they all went on their way.

Meanwhile, in one of Adventure City's universities called the Department of Meteorology (a university dedicated to studying mother nature's weather patterns), Mayor Humdinger, Rueben, and Butch came into the building to work out the next part of the new mayor's plans for the city. Needless to say, he was less than impressed with what he saw.

"Ugh! Rain, rain? I mean, seriously, does it always rain in this lousy city? What has this place getting itself into, Flood Central? Pfft!" Humdinger grumbled as he and his kittens entered with his henchmen in tow, meeting the scientists who are currently working on their latest project.

"Alright, everybody, alright! Now, listen up here, which one of you eggheads is in charge of this little motley crew?"

"Hello!" greeted a young African-American woman (who wore a white lab coat and had her hair in braids but in a ponytail) as she popped out from under a device that looked like a weather machine, scaring Humdinger as he composed himself.

"I'm the lead egghead here in the Department of Meteorology; my name's Kendra, Kendra Wilson. And, you must be that 'new mayor' my team and I have been hearing about just now who was brought up by default to serve us common folk and do what we asked of you, Mayor Humdinger, hmm?"

"Yes... Yeah, that's me. Now listen up, Ms. Wilson, tonight I have a big fireworks celebration planned for my victory as the newly-elected mayor of Adventure City and the team responsible for it told me they're going to have to cancel it because of the rain. I've heard from them that you and your team have a weather machine that can manipulate and suck away all those pesky rain clouds, is that true?"

"You're looking at it right now," Kendra replied, directing him to the machine she and her science team are working on. "It's a free-floating gyroscopically balanced remote-controlled weather containment and analysis apparatus."

Humdinger blinked as he then said, "What? I don't understand a word you just said."

Kendra realized her mistake and cleared her throat before clarifying, "Well, we call it the Cloud Catcher; it flies around the sky and sucks up nearby clouds and then brings them back to the lab so we can study them and their molecular and water-like properties. It's strictly for research and just that, we can't use it for anything else and what's more-"

"Excellent! Excellent work, that's just what need, Ms. Wilson!" Humdinger replied gleefully as he addressed Kendra and his kittens. "Well, kitties, it looks like our bad weather troubles are over and done with. Now, I want you and your team to use your Cloud Catcher to do away with those pesky rain clouds by the end of the day."

Kendra gasped before she incredulously replied, "Oh! I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, Mr. Mayor, but the Cloud Catcher is strictly meant for research and studying rain clouds. It's not meant for changing the weather, it's impossible for us humans to do such a feat!"

"There's a saying that we humans have when it comes to meddling with things we don't understand and Mother Nature is one of them," added one of her fellow scientists skeptically, looking at Mayor Humdinger in disbelief.

"Yeah, if you mess with Mother Nature, Mother Nature will fight back," warned another in sage-like agreement as she frowned at him.

"Oh, and I'm sorry if I'm not the one being clear on my demands. Either you eggheads help me deal with my weather problem or I will PERSONALLY SHUT THIS UNIVERSITY DOWN FOREVER!" bellowed Mayor Humdinger furiously, shocking the scientists as they gave him angry glares.

Kendra, however, saw no point in fighting with Mayor Humdinger after seeing he was not going to budge on the business with the Cloud Catcher. So, with great reluctance, she just nodded and begrudgingly said, "Alright... I guess we could try clearing up the clouds, just for tonight."

"What?!"

"But, Kendra, you can't!"

"He doesn't know what he's saying!" argued some of her fellow scientists in shock and disbelief.

Mayor Humdinger, on the other hand, was in devious glee when he saw Kendra eventually give in to his demands despite her own instincts and experience as well as her reluctance to trust him.

"Wonderful, wonderful, ha! Now, that's what I call a real scientific consensus!" he sneered.

With no choice but to continue to go along with his demands, Kendra and her team were forced to open the sunroof meant for the Cloud Catcher to be deployed easily and safely without having it crash into anything in the university. Once it was activated, the Cloud Jet revved its jet engines and was propelled up to the sky as it sucked air into its propellers and consequently, sucked up Humdinger's top hat and tore it to shreds.

"DAH! D'oh, my favorite top hat!" he whined.

"Here you go, Boss," replied Butch, retrieving a new hat and giving it to him.

"That's incredible...! At this rate, with the Cloud Catcher working like this, we'll have the skies cleared in no time!" Mayor Humdinger cheered.

But, Kendra and her team weren't feeling the same way; the leading scientist behind the weather team's research efforts looked at the results from the remote she uses to control the Cloud Catcher. And, already, a grim feeling was brewing within her as well as the stomachs of her team when they took note of its energy levels and its unintended performance beyond its true purpose and capabilities.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Kendra sighed, her team nodding in agreement with some of them still glaring with disdain at Mayor Humdinger.

"A-BUP-BUP-BUP-BUP-BUP-BUP! I'll hang onto this, my dear, thank you. And, trust me, the people here are going to LOVE my fireworks, and more importantly, they're all going to love ME!" Humdinger smirked deviously as he rudely snatched the remote from her and left her team to watch worriedly, knowing that Humdinger would put everybody in danger somehow but not knowing of the full magnitude and ramifications that would come from him and his selfishness.

Back to the Power Rangers and the PAW Patrol, continuing to navigate through the busy streets of Adventure City, Ryder, his pups, and their new friends/allies were now keeping an eye out for their new PAW Patrol Ultra Rescue headquarters (the latter of the two being the new HQ Lusamine had promised Lillie and her friends the previous week). Everyone could hardly contain their excitement, even Cadence, Race, and Chase couldn't hold back their eagerness to see the place as their minds were once again off of their previous lives and were grateful for the distraction they needed.

"Alright, everybody. We're almost there, keep an eye out for our new headquarters courtesy of the Aether Foundation and Grid Battleforce," Ryder informed, having been told about what Lusamine had planned for the two hero teams.

"Aww, dudes, I can't wait!"

"This is going to be awesome!"

"It's gotta be here somewhere, where is it?" Zuma, Rocky, and Rubble peeped happily as they searched.

"There are so many buildings here. I wonder which ones around here are ours," Marshall asked, looking around.

Cadence suddenly gasped in awe and wonder as she pointed to what looked to be two giant towers at the end of the street they were on when Ryder made his last turn, "Uh, guys, Marshall... I think I know..."

"WOW/WHOA/WOWIE/COOL/NEAT/AWESOME/OOH!" everybody gasped, seeing the towers.

"Oh, right, of course! Couldn't miss that, my bad," the dalmatian pup giggled sheepishly, getting a laugh out of everyone as they arrived.

And, boy, what a splendid sight the towers are; The PAW Patrol's new Adventure City Tower that was next to the tower for the Power Rangers had a large clear ball that had their insignia at the center, the giant straight body being silver and yet expanded to have multiple windows and a red outline. The bottom of it had an automatic opening hatch and two garages on both sides.

As for the Ultra Rescue Rangers' Adventure City Tower, it was made by Grid Battleforce and the Aether Foundation, complete with two dragon hangers (similar to the dragon hangers from HTTYD 2) on each side of the tower for the dragons with the head of the tower resembling Nebby's head. What's more, like with the PAW Patrol's new tower, the Ultra Rescue Tower was also straight and had two garages on both sides on the bottom and an automatic opening hatch in the center.

What really sweetened the deal for both teams was that because the two towers were right next to each other (similar to how suburban houses are next to each other in a suburban neighborhood), there was a durable tunnel bridge connecting the two together to allow both teams the chance to meet up with each other whenever possible.

As Sarah's Flying Types, Drogon, Zephyr, and the Berkian dragons all rejoined their family and friends, they quickly entered the dragon hangers while Ryder drove the PAW Patroller into the new tower's hatch. Everyone gathered was in awe over the pups and Ryder's new HQ as they went up the elevator to their new Command Center which sported a spectacular bird's eye view of Adventure City.

"WHOA...!"

"Pups, everybody, welcome to our new Adventure City Duo Tower Headquarters," declared Ryder proudly as everyone in their groups filed in and looked in awe around the pups' new HQ.

"Neato!"

"Really cool!"

"Totally pawsome!"

"Wow, what a view!" the pups commented.

"Ryder, this is amazing! How can possibly afford this place?" chirped an ecstatic Skye.

"Officially licensed PAW Patrol merchandise, this stuff sells like Hot Cakes," Ryder smiled cheekily as he held out a PAW Patrol t-shirt before going over to the Command Center's computer board and bringing up a holographic image of Adventure City in the center of the room. "We've got everything we need at our fingertips thanks to Grid Battleforce and the Aether Foundation."

Seeing Adventure City in its holographic form appearing before his eyes, Marshall was startled as he was thrown for a loop, the dalmatian pup jumping up and rolling backward in surprise before crashing into Rubble and Rocky.

"Marshall!" the two pups laughed.

"Next time, warn me before you stick a building up my nose!" Marshall joked to Ryder.

"This is so cool!"

"It's so high-tech!"

"Now, this is really living the high life," Skye, Chase, and Cadence commented, also lost in their awe and wonder of their team's tower.

"Ryder, the others and I are going to check out our tower next door. You'll be alright on your own?" Sarah asked, she and her group preparing to head to the Ultra Rescue tower.

"Sure thing, Sarah. We'll be alright, don't keep yourselves waiting. I'm sure Lusamine and Grid Battleforce had some big plans for you involving your tower," smiled Ryder as he and the pups continued to observe their new headquarters.

Crossing through the tunnel bridge connecting the two bases together, the Ultra Rescue Rangers entered their own tower which looked just as magnificent from the interior as well as the exterior. The new Command Center was made exactly one the original back in Alola but it also had a holographic image of the entirety of Adventure City. There was also a small laboratory and a blacksmith's forge added in it (just for Sarah and Tsukumaro) and the team's resting quarters on the upper level held ten separate bedrooms for the group (one of them being a master bedroom for Sarah and Race, much to their shock and embarrassment). Amused, Lillie couldn't help but poke fun and rub salt on them by telling them Wicke and Burnet suggested it themselves for the couple which got an exasperated sigh out of them.

The rangers' mission prep hanger resembled the exact same room where Devon, Ravi, and Zoey first became Power Rangers with the center having the same machine that fused the trio with their respective animal DNAs but with eight cubbies instead of three.

"Well, well, it's about time you discovered your new digs for this mission of yours."

"Good thing this was ready for you and the PAW Patrol when we heard you were dropping by."

Everyone turned to the sources of the voices that spoke and startled them only to find Johnathan, Diane, and their Pokemon behind them. But, it wasn't just them that arrived in Adventure City as well; to the surprise of the Pokemon School Gang, their families, Lusamine, Wicke, Burnet, Kukui, and Gladion were also present in the new Ultra Rescue Tower.

"Mom!"

"Pops?!"

"Sir Johnathan, Ms. Diane?"

"What are you doing here?!" Nikki, James, Tsukumaro, and Sarah gawked in shock.

"Mom, Harper, Sarah!"

"Mom, Dad, Mimio!"

"Mother, Gladion, Wicke!"

"Dad, Ulu!"

"Mom, Dad!" the Pokemon School Gang spluttered in bewilderment and surprise but also starting to smile brightly given that it had been a month since they'd seen their families.

"Surprise!"

"Munchlax!" Burnet, Kukui, and Munchlax greeted.

"Prof. Kukui, Prof. Burnet!" Ash gasped in total surprise as he blinked at the married research couple. "What are you all doing here?!"

Sarah ran over to her grandparents and hugged them along with their Pokemon, "How did you guys know we'd be here with the PAW Patrol?"

"You can thank Lusamine for letting us in on this secret of hers. But, in all honesty, we were all worried about how you were getting on with your journey to find your real mother and father so she thought it best to bring us all here to your new Adventure City Tower and surprise you," Diane chuckled.

"I hope you kids wouldn't mind, Sarah. But, since everybody's been wondering how you've been getting on ever since you left Alola, I knew we'd have to check in on you all at some point. So, after I clued you on in this little surprise Grid Battleforce and the Aether Foundation cooked up when you told us you're passing through Adventure Bay, I had a feeling you'd end up meeting the PAW Patrol at some point," smiled Lusamine.

"We all know you've been handling yourselves plenty when you told us about your adventures but we thought it best to hear what you've been doing in-person and to not only see Adventure City for ourselves but also meet the famous PAW Patrol," Abe announced happily.

"And, we can tell the surprise we've planned for you worked," Gladion added as he reunited with his sister and smiled warmly at her. "It's good to see you and Snowy doing okay after all this time, Lillie."

Lillie giggled in appreciation and warm sentimentality of her brother while Silvally reunited with his brothers and mingled with them, "I've missed you, too, Gladion."

"That was great! We sure missed you guys!"

"Surprises are the best!"

"This just might be the best surprise we've ever had!" Ash, Lana, and Sophocles chirped ecstatically.

"Well, now, he-ha-ha! My, my, how time flies by and you and your boyfriend grew with each and every new friend you make," laughed Johnathan as he took a look at the Jungle Guard, the baby Jungle Pokemon, their elder siblings, Arrietty, Sho, Mystic Squad, and the Cyberchase Pokemon before he eventually turned to Sarah.

"Turn around for a bit there, kiddies. Let me look at you all, I see you've been eating your greens well and looking fit, fun, and fancy-free during your escapades, ha-ha-ha-ha! You know, just the other day during the past month after you all phoned us after arriving in Milyfa Town, I was talking to myself about you and your friends, my little angel. And, we were wondering what had become of you after you left us hanging on whatever excitement that's got you all buzzing about."

The princess chuckled sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head, "Well, we've been making our names in a few high places here and there and our new Pokemon and these mythicals just sorta...latched onto us."

"CUTE, SO CUTE!" gushed Harper and Little Sarah, immediately cooing over the baby Jungle Pokemon and the Night Lights. "Can we play with them, Lana?"

"Well, alright... But, don't roughhouse with them too much and don't break anything while you do so," Lana relented.

"We will, we will!"

Harper and Little Sarah cheered as they began to play with Dart, Ruffrunner, and Pouncer along with the baby Jungle Pokemon while their sister met up with their mother, "I didn't expect you to be here, Mom. How's Dad doing, is he here, too?"

"He had another fishing trip to do, unfortunately. But, he sends you all his love and his best wishes to you and your friends in your journey on finding King Doug and Queen Delilah," she replied kindly.

While Kiawe, Sophocles, and Mallow took the time to reunite with and mingle with their families with Ash doing the same with Kukui and Burnet, Diane and Johnathan then turned their attention to Magearna after they managed to catch up on what'd been happening throughout their children's adventure.

"So, you must be the Secret Princess our granddaughter's real folks built to act as her personal guardian," Diane began to the Artificial Pokemon.

"Yes, Madam. Alongside my friends belonging to my creators from long ago, my sworn duty is to look after and protect my princess. It's a pleasure to meet you and your husband at last," Magearna nodded, giving a courtesy to the elderly pair.

"Well, aren't you a fine young lady," Johnathan smiled.

Seeing his friends and his lover with their own reunited families made Race feel warm within himself as he recalled his memories of his time with Brandon and the rest of the Frontier Brains after the Pyramid King took him in. Granted, he did miss them while he was on his travels to becoming a Pokemon trainer until his chance to take on the Battle Frontier when he was fourteen and he still missed them after settling down from his time in the spotlight. But, even so, he did wish that he could see them again even if it's just for one time.

But then, he soon remembered something he overlooked about the tower as he looked back at the cubbies to find...

"...Eight? But, I thought-"

"That's right, Sarah and her friends are indeed rangers but that's the newest addition. I had it made especially for you," Lusamine smiled, approaching Race with her children beside her.

"I've been watching you ever since you first came to Alola and mingled with your friends. During that time, I've been impressed with how you and your Pokemon have fought and interacted for your level of skill and the bond you shared with each other is on a level only the likes of Sarah and Ash and even my daughter, Lillie, can ever achieve. On your way here, my daughter and Sarah told me what had happened to you during your childhood before Brandon took you in and I offer my most humble condolences to you. I know coming back to Adventure City is traumatic for you due to what Rosa and Jacob have done to you so I thought to contribute to your coming here with a little gift from me, the Aether Foundation, and Grid Battleforce."

She then gestured to the last cubby that she mentioned was made for the Battle Frontier Champion, "Our friends at Grid Battleforce and my staff decided to make this on my request, knowing that you'll be invaluable to our team and your girlfriend. Once you step in it and the morphing process begins, like them, Nate, Steel, Devon, Ravi, and Zoey, you will be infused with the DNA of an animal we've assigned for you and you'll become a Power Ranger as well."

Race, stunned by the news, blinked in bewilderment as he echoed quietly, "...Power Ranger, me...?"

Even the others couldn't hold back their shock as they turned to Lusamine as she explained everything while frowning, "Yes, truth be told, there's also another reason why I wanted to recruit you. Aside from Team Eclipse, we got a report that one of the scientists responsible for the animal cruelty experiments done on your puppy friend from the PAW Patrol, Cadence, has escaped from the prison he was brought in and we fear he may be roaming around the city right now."

"One of those horrible scientists escape from prison?!"

"And, he's here in Adventure City?"

"That means Cadence is in trouble!"

"Oh, great! Now, we have a Dr. Frankenstien to worry about in addition to Mayor Humdinger!" cried Mallow, Lana, Ash, and Kiawe in shock and frustration.

"We've been told by Adventure City's police chief that sent us the report that the scientist managed to somehow slip away from the Adventure Penitentiary in the west wing of the city and he could be having a revenge plot in place to get even with her. Since she somehow managed to get the police onto them while she was forcibly given her wings, the scientist felt that she was responsible for ruining him and his crew and leaving them behind bars," Wicke informed.

"If he manages to get a new team under his wing and resume his old crew's destroyed experiments on hybrid creatures, judging from the files and records the police managed to get ahold of years ago, it would be a disaster if he unleashes them to test out their capabilities and find her," Burnet added grimly.

Soon, Faba came into the picture, supposedly after making the final adjustments to whatever he, Wicke, Burnet, Lusamine, Kukui, and the rest of the Aether Foundation and Grid Battleforce had prepared for Race and the original team.

"Which is why we wish to have you join our team to not only put a stop to Team Eclipse and their dastardly plans, we want you to help them and the PAW Patrol put an end to that madman and his underground hybrid operations and be on guard for what Mayor Humdinger has in store that could further endanger everybody in the city," he announced to the Hoenn BF Champion.

"And, if I don't accept this proposal from all of you, then the city and then the world, and Cadence..." Race went on, starting to realize the grim reality of what he's been told.

Lusamine gave a determined yet knowing nod, "All who are in Humdinger and the scientist's way will be gone, especially if they join forces..."

Silence fell as they took in what was about to go down if the scientist isn't stopped along with Mayor Humdinger regarding their plans and what they'll do to the city for revenge and more.

"...What am I supposed to do?" Race finally asked, feeling like he should do this.

"Stand on your cubby and we'll begin the morphing sequence. Once you're ready and demorphed, we'll fill you in," Wicke instructed, gesturing to the new cubby as she got onto the computer.

"I don't understand..."

"Don't worry, you will."

Seeing he has no choice and knowing that his life would never be the same again even after becoming the Battle Frontier Champion Hoenn, with an encouraging nod from his girlfriend, Race took a deep breath and eventually stepped forward as he steeled himself for what was to come. With everyone's eyes on him, he entered the cubby and stood on the ready. While Wicke began the morphing sequence, the PAW Patrol and Ryder finally came over to see how the others are getting on in their new HQ and gasped in surprise to see Race preparing to go through something they've never witnessed before.

"Wow, what is that?"

"What's Race doing on that cubby?"

"What's that nice lady doing on the computer?" Cadence, Rocky, and Rubble questioned as the puppy heroes and Ryder came over.

"Sarah, what's going on?" Chase asked the princess as he and Cadence looked up at her.

"Not much, just the birth of a brand new ranger," replied Sarah simply as she saw Wicke and Race being ready for the morphing sequence.

"Alright, here goes nothing. Are you ready, Race?" Wicke signaled, Race nodding to her as she activated the morphing sequence for his new ranger powers.

"Initiating Morphing Sequence," the new Ultra Rescue supercomputer announced, commencing the morphing sequence as a shower of Morph-X whirled from above him and covered the strained BF Champion entirely and turned into a mix of red, tan, gold, and brown (i.e. the colors of a male/female Pyroar).

Everyone gathered watched in stunned awe as they watched the Morph-X stream finally give after several moments and revealed Race in his new ranger suit. His new uniform consisted of red and gold boots and globes that resembled claws in a way and the helmet resembling Kion's head (all of it with an armor-like look similar to the ranger suits in MMPR: The Movie). Surprisingly, he also had a white scarf tied around his neck that stretched to his lower chest area akin to scarfs sometimes worn by motorcyclists and the scarf worn by the 6th Hero prototype from 1987's Hikari Sentai Maskman: X1-Mask (i.e. Ryo Asuka).

Once the supercomputer registered Race as the newest member of the ranger team, a panel opened up and revealed his gear including two new weapons for him (specifically, his main weapon and sidearm): his Beast-X Pyroar Fang (a gauntlet akin to the Red Lion Fang from Power Rangers Wild Force used as an armored cestus, split into two fang-like claws, or a multi-attack blaster called the Pyroar Blaster) and his Bio Lion Talon (a Chinese silver fiber soft sword made and infused with Morph-X that fits snugly on his waist like a belt that can be released at any time to be used in melee combat).

There was even a new morpher and a Poke-X Key along with the weapons, the latter being shaped like Kion's head as well while the helmet bore yellow stripes and a small mane. In addition, there is a new Beast-X Mode Visor and a new Beast-X Mode Key that was in the style of a female Pyroar made especially for him.

Everyone gasped as they took in Race in his new ranger form with the BF Champion's team completely taken in his new look, their human master/father now fused with Morph-X and Pyroar DNA to become the new Ultra Rescue Pyroar Ranger.

"We did it! It worked, the Pyroar DNA Nate and his team collected worked!" cheered Wicke.

"Whoa, this is unreal... I... I'm a ranger!" gasped Race, seeing himself in his new ranger suit and looking stronger than ever.

"Phenomenal, his body's been 100% fully bonded with Pyroar DNA and Morph-X!"

"Just like Sarah and the others!"

"I can't believe it, a Pyroar-like Power Ranger!"

"Now, there are eight Ultra Rescue Rangers before us; Team Eclipse and anybody else who'll want to cause trouble won't know what hit 'em!" Calculator, Raksha, Tou-Tou, and Blaze remarked in amazement.

"Father... How do you feel?"

"Daddy?" peeped a stunned Robbie and Bella, both inching up to Race as he demorphed and looked at himself, trying to take in this massive life-changing experience he went through before he looked at them.

"...Supercharged," he finally breathed, still looking at himself in awe.

"Congratulations, Race!"

"Awesome!"

"Really awesome!"

"You're a Power Ranger now? I can't believe it, this is so cool!"

"We're stronger than ever with you on our side!"

"Welcome to the team, Race!" the Pokemon School Gang and Ash congratulated.

"It's official, Race. Welcome to the team, from all of us," Sarah nodded, holding out her right hand to her boyfriend as he slowly smiled and took it in reassurance.

"So, now that Race is officially our eighth ranger, does that mean that like Sarah and the Beast Morphers team, does he get his own Beast Bot?" Mallow questioned.

"Now, that is something we and Nate have taken care of while developing and testing Race's powers," nodded Burnet with a smirk as she joined the new ranger and his girlfriend.

"This new Beast Bot with us, Race, is your partner in battle. Like Solar, she has been fitted with features built into Solar and while you two don't have a Zord of your own, I'm sure you'll both do brilliantly together against our enemies, our own and common. When we informed Commander Shaw of the report about the evil scientist and the news about Humdinger's default election victory, she recommended giving you a partner to fight with and protect you when we proposed giving you your new ranger powers."

She then looked to the elevator leading from the main entrance to the Ultra Rescue Tower and called out, "Okay, Athena! Your new partner's ready and waiting, you can come out now!"

Poking her head out of her hiding spot and slowly making her way towards the group was another lion-like Beast Bot except this one was made for Race in mind as per Commander Shaw's request. The Beast Bot in question, Athena, is designed after The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride's Adult Kiara but she had pink eyes and was about the same size as Solar with the same features he has built onto her like her new Motorcycle, Sky, and Silent Modes, her Gripper Claws, and her Power Pack.

"WHOA/WOW...!" The PAW Patrol gasped in awe as they took in the sight of the new Beast Bot.

"Wow, now that's a Beast Bot! I never knew the full extent of what Grid Battleforce is capable of making until now after seeing her and Solar!" laughed Ryder in astonishment.

"Is that really a Beast Bot?"

"Just like Solar and those other ones Sarah and her friends told us about?"

"The dudes belonging to the Beast Morphers Power Rangers from Coral Harbor like Devon, Nate, Ravi, and Zoey?"

"Oh yeah, their names are... Wait, I got it: Cruise, Steel, Smash, and Jax!" Rubble, Skye, Zuma, and Marshall.

"Now, those are cats I'm thankfully not allergic to!"

"That explains why your feline hay fever's not kicking up again, especially since you usually go on a sneezing marathon when Humdinger's cats are around!"

"Very funny, Cadence," Chase and Cadence bantered humorously as they laughed.

"Uh... H-Hi, you're my new partner?" Athena began quietly, making Race already warm up to the new Beast Bot as he gently stroked her and nodded gently. "T-Thank you, I'm Athena, and I-I'll do my best t-to, help you out when I c-can..."

"I don't think we'll do great together, I *know*," smiled Race as he continued to stroke her reassuringly. "I want nothing more than for us to work together as a team from here on out..."

Feeling relieved that she made a good first impression with everyone else smiling kindly at her, Athena leaned into Race and nuzzled him happily. It seemed like they were both getting off to a strong start. However, little did the new ranger and Beast Bot know that they would soon be put to the test in the next few hours as a certain fireworks display was about to go down but for the wrong reasons.

Late that night, Mayor Humdinger was holding his fireworks display at Town Hall to celebrate his "victory" in the mayoral elections. Naturally, when she heard about his fireworks display being held, Liberty was able to sneak through the crowd in order to find out what he was up to while he made his commencement and his mayoral confirmation known. But, amongst the crowd in addition to the smart yet spunky Dachshund, there was a mysterious man dressed in a black robe and wearing a white Peking Opera mask under a hood to conceal his face from any curious onlookers that looked his way.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming on this lovely evening! As you all know, I've called you all here tonight for a very important reason: to celebrate me as your new mayor of Adventure City!" Humdinger began proudly yet arrogantly. "And now, as we celebrate my victory tonight, please direct your attention to the most magnificent and most breathtaking fireworks display you have ever seen! Time to light up the sky!"

But, things weren't about to go his way, as usual; as his team and Kitten Catastrophe Crew tried to set off the fireworks, only one of them was set off so the crowd wasn't too excited. The fireworks director, seeing how dangerous and unsafe setting them all off at once would be, had to slowly press the buttons so they would all be launched safely. But, of course, in his usual impatience and pushy nature to get what he wanted, Humdinger and his kittens butted in and began pressing all of them to set off all the fireworks as he wanted.

"Yay, HA-HA! They're all for me!"

Unfortunately, that was when it all happened and all hell broke loose with Humdinger; because he had been so hasty to get his fireworks going, the table the fireworks were on couldn't hold the weight of them anymore and it broke in half, setting off all the rockets haphazardly and into the crowd. The people were not enjoying this anymore as they all fled in fear for their lives and even Liberty was sent into a panic as she tried to make a quick getaway before she would be caught in the crossfire.

"Oh, boy! Oh boy, WHOA! YEOW!" she yelled frantically, trying her best to avoid any rockets coming at her.

The masked man, on the other hand, gave an unimpressed and dismissive scoff as he calmly went over to a different spot and sat down on a nearby empty bench to continue watching Humdinger's fireworks display going horribly wrong. Said "mayor" winced in horror as he realized that he and his kittens had completely overdone it and he was starting to have his regrets but he tried to downplay the danger of the situation regardless so as to not lose what he hoped would be the citizens' trust.

"Oh, boy! AIE! WHAAAA!" he cried in horror before he sheepishly smiled as he continued to play off the situation. "Oh, wow! Aha-ha! Not to worry, folks, just a slight teeny miscalculation there! But, look on the bright side, how often do you see fireworks this close?"

His words failed to appease the frightened townsfolk as they continued to scatter in all directions and not heed his words before one of the fireworks tore a hole through his top hat.

"AH! Oh no, not again! My top hat's ruined!"

"Here you go, boss! OH-HOO!" Butch replied, giving him a new hat before he was frightened by a rocket that nearly hit him and prompting Humdinger to duck under his podium to keep himself safe from the chaos.

"Nuts, nuts, double nuts! TRIPLE NUTS! This is EXACTLY why dogs like me hate fireworks, WHOA!" Liberty exclaimed, running as fast as her little legs can carry her from the disaster.

Back at the Ultra Rescue and Adventure City Towers, while everyone was now mingling away and getting used to their new HQ along with overlooking what they have to be prepared for anything, Tsukumaro looked through the window to where Town Hall was located and he could see the fireworks exploding on the ground and at a dangerous rate as the people gathered ran for their lives.

"Princess, all of you, come look at this," he called, getting Sarah's attention and everyone else's as they joined him and saw the chaos going down.

"Now, I'm no expert on these new-fangled celebratory party popper things you younguns today call fireworks. But, don't you think that those popper contraptions are causing a disturbance down there?"

"Hey, he's right, guys. Aren't fireworks for any type of big occasion supposed to blow up high in the sky?" Rocky noted, also surprised by the fireworks debacle going on from ground level.

"Oh no, all those people... They're frightened, something must've scared them..." gasped Race, seeing how terrified the people are as they run for their lives so they won't be killed by the fireworks. "We have to do something!"

"But, I thought you didn't like coming back to Adventure City or seeing all those people!"

"Don't you still hate the city and them for what happened to you back then?" Rubble and Lana gasped in surprise as they turned to him.

"I know, I still do! But, even so... I hate this city for what my real parents have done to me and that nobody helped me pull my life out of the gutter when I was dirt poor and had nowhere else to go before Brandon came and adopted me, that's true. And, I hate that everybody's in it for themselves here no matter who they are but regardless, how different would I be if I turned my back on them if they're in any danger? I'm not saying that I forgive them or their city, it's not that simple for me. But, still, I'll do what I must to protect everyone, even those that I consider my enemy..."

He then turned to Wicke, Lusamine, Burnet, and Faba as they stood next to his equipment, "I'm not keen on helping those people and this city after what I've suffered through but I'm ready to do what I must to help. What should I do, what do we do?"

"Let's see what's going on first and then think before we act," Sarah replied reassuringly, Wicke and Ryder immediately pulling up the holographic Adventure City as red warning triangles immediately pointed to Town Hall.

"The fireworks display must've gone horribly wrong somehow. We better get over there to stop those fireworks and fast before they start to burn down the whole city," Ryder said as he and Sarah shared a knowing nod. "Guys, Pups, suit up! It's Go Time!"

"We're on it!" agreed Ash as he and the others got onto their respective cubbies with Ryder and the Pups heading for their tower to do the same and get their new gear in place.

"Race, wait!" Burnet called as the Ultra Rescue Rangers prepared themselves and Race entered his own cubby after Sarah with hers, taking his Poke-X Key and throwing it to him as he caught it. "Use your key to activate your powers through it and your morpher!"

"Follow my lead," Sarah ordered, getting a knowing nod from Race as they stood at the ready and then... "It's Morphin' Time!"

While Sarah and her friends went into their morphing positions immediately, Race was a little slow on the draw until he saw his girlfriend in her stance and having activated her morpher and he soon recomposed himself and did the same with his morpher from his new Wrist Com. Then, they all brought their Poke-X Keys, and together, crossing them and their forearms together, they shouted, "Ultra Rescue, get in gear! HA!"

Their morphers activated when they inserted them into them and opened their visors, the group's respective streams of Morph-X and Pokemon DNA covering them and revealing their suits before they raised their morphers to their heads and their visors set themselves into place.

Then, when they were all set and the PAW Patrol revealed themselves in their new gear (while Ryder and Wicke prepared two giant sloping exit ramps called Rescue Ramps for the two teams' automatic deployment), Sarah and Race returned their mythicals to their suitcases before the two teams went to their vehicle hangers (both of which are extensive and humongous, having several platforms to house their vehicles for Adventure City). At the moment, we're putting our focus on the Ultra Rescue Rangers' vehicles and the Pokemon's new mode of transport for the city.

"Alright, Rangers, this is your and the PAW Patrol's first mission in Adventure City; your job is to save the people from the fireworks havoc going on in Town Hall and put a stop to the madness happening. In addition, you must keep an eye out for the scientist for he could be amongst the panicking crowd and looking for Cadence should he remember her," began Lusamine, briefing her rangers on what they and the PAW Patrol must do as they arrived at the hanger.

"With the possibility that the scientist could indeed be amongst the people in the city and given that navigation in the city along with the possibility of his hybrids being brought back into play, Grid Battleforce and my staff both took the initiative to give you new vehicles that'll act as your personal Mini-Zords. What we've created for you and for the PAW Patrol will allow you to go through the city and save everyone in trouble from that monster scientist and Humdinger's machinations safely. Behold your new Adventure City Rovers and Poke-Cruiser!"

"Whoa...!"

"Look at that!"

"Awesome!"

"Unreal!"

"What a bunch of monsters!" gasped the Pokemon School Gang in awe.

"But, they look like ordinary cars," put in Ash, also in awe but feeling more skeptical until he touched one of the cars and it suddenly activated, making him and Pikachu jump back in shock as the other Adventure City Rovers all activate along with the Pokemon's new AC mobile runner.

The rest of the gang gave off surprised yelps as they jumped back and look on at their new vehicles in astonishment as they looked to be sentimental.

Lusamine chuckled over their reactions as she continued, "No, Ash, you're right that they're cars but they're far from being ordinary. They're actually extraordinary cars and cruisers; taking inspiration from the Turbo Rangers and Lightspeed Rescue's vehicles, they're all rovers equipped with the power and velocity of Morph-X-enhanced Turbo Technology, our and Grid Battleforce's own take of it. Individually, they and the PAW Patrol's vehicles are all formidable fighting machines. But, when your vehicles merge together when needed, they form the Ultra PAW Megazord, your own personal team Megazord as well as the most powerful fighting robot you have at your disposal, second only to King and the Fury Zords."

The rangers didn't know what to say as the hangers holding the Ultra Rescue Rangers' vehicles started to descend and be placed on the UR Tower's Rescue Ramp for immediate deployment when ready as their headlights when out, Burnet now directing the group to their vehicles as follows:

"Ash and Kiawe, the Thunder Cruiser and Fire Trucker will be yours to command."

The Pikachu-inspired Aether Foundation/Grid Battleforce Honda Civic (which had a race wing on the back, a brown emblem of Voltage on either side, and two cannons on both sides as well) and Turtonator-inspired firetruck (modeled after Marshall's Adventure City Firetruck but having emblems of Sunflare and Inferno on the right and left sides respectively, a semi-extended ladder and water pumps) hummed as their headlights flashed in response to their new masters.

"Lana, Sophocles, and Mallow, your vehicles are called the Hover Runner, Misty Recycle Sparker, and the Big Rig."

In response, Lana's Hover Runner (a light blue and dark blue-shaded hovercraft that had a detachable bottom raft and blue wave-shaped plates on the sides having the emblems of Hydro on the right and Hurricane on the left), Mallow's Misty Recycle Sparker (a green and pink recycling truck complete with a forklift at the front coupled with an enhanced storage compartment (using the Extension Charm) on the back with the emblems of Mist and Spark on both sides and outlined with hydraulic arms), and Sophocles' Big Rig (a yellow construction truck that had a cement mixer and wrecking ball spinner in the back coupled with a tough shovel on the front and sturdy treadmills for wheels along with emblems of Rocky and Boulder on the left and right sides respectively) flashed their headlights to their owners.

"Lillie, the Sky Jet is your Jet Helicopter Adventure City Rover."

Lillie's Sky Jet flashed its headlights to the Alolan Vulpix Ranger it revealed itself to be a pure white and pink helicopter that can turn into a jet for greater speed at the push of a button with emblems of Skystorm on both sides. Currently, it's in Jet Mode instead of Helicopter Mode.

"And, Sarah and Race, Pika-Runner and Little Night Light will serve you both well."

Sarah's Little Night Light Cruiser is a Ferrari Cruiser with a convertible roof that resembled Dart down to its colors, the cruiser's back resembling Dart's tail to make it more aerodynamic while sharing Solar's features including a Camouflage Mode, the Power Pack but with the addition of deploying what are called Night Light Drones for deployment, protective armor plating to further increase its durability, and car seats that were designed to launch from it as a motorcycle.

And, as for Race's Pika-Runner, it's also a Ferrari Cruiser but it more resembled Bella and had a black lightning stripe on both sides coupled with a back wing shaped like a lightning bolt on the back and the same features that are on Sarah's cruiser.

"Thanks, Lusamine," smiled Sarah in gratitude, she and Race looking at each other in amusement over the mechanical similarities of their cruisers.

"But, what about that bus-like thing down there?" asked Kiawe, pointing to the vehicle inspired by the PAW Patrol's Mission Cruiser in design.

The new bus-like cruiser was also a silvery-white on the outside on the front and at the back, the middle portion having six doors on either side-the interior being enhanced with the Undetectable Extension Charm to allow larger Pokemon like Nebby, Nebula, Kurma, Reshiram, and Eternatus to fit inside and go around without being detected and causing a panic.

With Sarah's non-Flying Type Pokemon (sans her baby Jungle Pokemon), the cruiser has the ability to deploy custom hoverboards combined with snowboard/skateboard technology from the doors that would open and lower themselves for faster travel (something that'll prove to be an advantage for Arctozolt, Aqua, and Milotic with their inability to walk or run swiftly on land compared to the rest of their family).

The new hoverboards all have been equipped with custom flight and diving suits for Sarah's non-Flying/Water Pokemon that'll improve their aerial and aquatic mobility for airborne and underwater rescues and Arrow Launchers equipped with similar trick arrows from Sarah's archer artillery for defense and offense.

"The final vehicle for was one we had in mind for Sarah to help her deal with the issue of her Pokemon and dragons causing a panic when they least expect it should they be forced to make themselves known in the public here, Adventure Bay, or somewhere similar to Adventure City. With the assistance of Tsukumaro's Undetectable Extension Charm, our efforts have all paid off and ended with what we call the Poke-Carrier."

Lusamine then gave a cheeky smile as she said before clapping her hands twice, "And if you want to take them for a spin..." Eight automatic slides appeared and they slid down to their vehicles.

The rangers slid into their respective vehicles as they started up once they inserted the keys that came with (akin to the keys from the Turbo Morphers from Power Rangers Turbo) and activated them. At the same time, the Pups and Ryder suited up with their new armor-like uniforms and got into their new Adventure City vehicles including Ryder's new Adventure ATV MK.2.

When the Rescue Ramps for both towers were put in place, the Poke-Carrier from came out of its opened garage with Zeraora and the Swords of Justice in the drivers' seats joined by all Pokemon gathered and Solar and Athena as they all buckled in.

Admittingly, Race was really nervous as he tried to calm himself and when he got the feeling that he wasn't the only one on edge while everyone all waited for the all-clear, he activated his Wrist Com and called on Athena to check on how she's currently getting on.

"Scared, Athena?"

"...Um, yeah. Not sure what to expect, you know, uh... First time learning on the job, really," Athena stuttered, getting a sympathetic smile and nod from her new partner.

"It's alright; I felt the same way before I won the Ever Grande Conference and most importantly, tried to take on my family in the Battle Frontier two months later," he chuckled, surprising his Beast Bot as she turned to him.

"What happened?" she asked curiously.

"Uh... I don't really remember; my team and I were still riding on Cloud Nine and continuing to bask in our victory during that time. When we first challenged Noland and his Articuno, believe it or not, we took quite a beating from them when we got into a full-team rumble against the two of them alone as he requested for us and we were schooled, hard. Spent the next three days training and going through quiet contemplation to find out what went wrong until we got our heads straightened out and finally won on the rematch with clear heads and minds away from the thought of winning and got the Knowledge Symbol, as a result."

Athena just giggled, she was already liking her new human partner given that they're kindred spirits with their insecurities and how similar they are on that front.

With that, nothing else needed to be said; Race and Athena knew from that conversation between them that they'll be able to make it through whatever is thrown at them as long as they're together and face their fears head on. However, the Battle Frontier Champion hoped that deep down, nothing would remind him of the pain he once went through during his difficult childhood. Sarah was surprised to see that Zeraora and her teachers were in charge of driving the Poke-Carrier when it was as clear as day that none of them could drive let alone took driving classes to handle the new bus. But, given the mission at hand for the Ultra Rescue Rangers and the PAW Patrol, she decided to hold her questions for later until they're done. Once everyone was ready to be deployed, the towers' supercomputers counted down and the lights flashed from red to yellow to green in five seconds.

"Sarah, Race, and Pokemon...Launching in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

Then, to the theme song of Power Rangers Turbo (but with a twist), the two teams were finally launched as they were released down the Rescue Ramps and dashed on their way to Town Hall.

Goooooooooo! Go! PAW Patrol Turbo, go! PAW Patrol Turbo, go! PAW Patrol Turbo, goooooooooo! "

Launching, Ash and Kiawe!

The first ones to be deployed were Sarah and Race along with their Pokemon in the Poke-Carrier (rolling from the ground level) garage) and Ryder on his Adventure ATV MK.2. Next, Ash, Kiawe, and Marshall were up next as they slid down the Rescue Ramps to catch up with their friends.

Mighty engines roar! Turbocharged for more! Drive four on the floor! Go! PAW Patrol Turbo, go! PAW Patrol Turbo, go! PAW Patrol Turbo!

"Launching, Mallow, Sophocles, and Lana!"

Hollering excitedly, Mallow, Lana, and Sophocles were deployed along with Rocky, Zuma, and Rubble as they raced to catch up with their friends and allies.

"Launching, Lillie and dragons!"

Shift, into, Turbo! Target fixed on lock! Evil take a walk! Rangers set to rock! Go! PAW Patrol Turbo, go! PAW Patrol Turbo, go! PAW Patrol Turbo!

Flipping the switches on her Sky Jet to turn on the engines while the dragons prepared for takeoff, Lillie steeled herself and set off once it was their turn to make their way to Town Hall and help stop Mayor Humdinger's fireworks and figure out where the evil scientist on the hunt for Cadence is.

"All set and ready for launch!"Winter declared.

"Go!" Shadow boomed, the dragons and Lillie heading on their way.

"Whoa, what a jet! Ha-ha, this thing is a beast!" Lillie laughed.

As the rangers and the PAW Patrol left to attend to the emergency at hand, Lusamine and the Pokemon School Gang's families along with Kukui, Faba, Wicke, and Burnet looked on proudly as they watched their heroes disappear into the city.

"PAW Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder commenced as everybody turned a corner. However...

"Everybody, STOP!" screamed Mallow, seeing something ahead of them that got her in a panic and forcing everyone to brake and stop before...

"Chugga-Chugga, oh no!" gasped Skiddo, looking out one of the windows in the Poke-Carrier with his brothers and sisters to find everyone stuck in a giant traffic jam. "Traffic jam?!"

"Traffic jam!" echoed the heroes in shock and bewilderment.

"Are you kidding me?!" spluttered a shocked Ryder. "Come on, this is ridiculous!

"Oh, god, I hate traffic jams... Always there when you don't want 'em and forcing you to sink hours at a time just to figure out how to clear out when you want to do something important and get it out of the way," Race grumbled in exasperation.

"Why is there a traffic jam at a time like this?!" snapped Ash, feeling impatient.

"They must be some of the people that are doing nighttime business or any of the scared citizens from Town Hall making a run for it from Humdinger's fireworks display gone wrong," theorized Sophocles, looking up their current situation on his Beast-X Navigator.

"Green means 'Go'! Green means 'Go'! Rocky shouted, only to get no results as everyone was still stuck in the traffic jam. "Uh, green still does mean 'Go', right?"

"We're never going to make it to Town Hall at this rate!" groaned Lillie.

"Well then, how are we supposed to get through this nightmare of a street-packed sassafras?" Kiawe pondered.

"Search me, I'm not seeing any alternative path to Town Hall and this was to be the quickest route there according to my cruiser's satnav," Sarah sighed.

Everybody tried to think of ways to get through the traffic jam or go around it but nothing came to mind. And, then, who should come to the gang's rescue but Liberty, the spunky Dachshund pup having made it out of the chaos of Town Hall safely and who noticed her idols stuck in traffic.

"You're taking Main Street during Rush Hour? No wonder you fellas are all stuck in traffic!" she remarked, immediately jumping off the car roof she was on and onto Ryder's ATV. "Hi, I'm Liberty, we spoke on the phone. So nice to finally meet you in person, all of you."

"...Ryder, nice to meet you," said Ryder, composing himself as he smiled and shook her open paw.

"Well, since you're all newbies around here, your teams are gonna need a pup like me to get around. I know this city like the back of my paw; uptown, downtown, crosstown, midtown, 24-7, 365! Wherever you want to go, I'll get ya to where you need to be!

Ryder smiled brighter, appreciating the help, "Well, we could use a little help getting out of this traffic jam."

"And, it'll take some convincing on our part just to get everyone moving so we can cool everyone down from Humdinger's fireworks frenzy," Sarah added.

"Yes! My first assignment, that I gotcha covered! Watch and learn," shrieked a delighted Liberty as she turned to a random man next to them on their left and then shouted, "YOU! Get out of the way, MOVE!"

The man screamed in panic from her shouted but he obliged and manger to move his car out of the way.

"You just gotta know how to talk to people here, Now, let's go!"

With Liberty in charge of directions with her street smart savviness and Ryder clearing the way thanks to her, the two hero teams turned off the road and drive onto the sidewalk to the back alleys with Lillie, Skye, and the dragons remaining on the air. Everywhere they went, Liberty was able to navigate her idols through every twist and turn she knew, following a new path she obviously knew.

After several fast minutes of darting, twisting, and turning through the back alleys via Liberty's remarkable sense of direction, they made it to Town Hall and were shocked by the sight that greeted then.

"You have reached your destination!" Liberty announced with a smile.

"Boy, now we know what happens when we leave Humdinger or give him and his kittens boxes of fireworks," Ryder deadpanned.

"The fireworks are going as crazy as we thought!"

"What did Mr. Humbug do?!"

"We gotta stop them!" cried Dart and her brothers.

Speaking of Mayor Humdinger, he, Butch, and Reuben finally took notice of the PAW Patrol and they were not happy to see them.

"Wha-?! No, the PAW Patrol, here in Adventure City! What are they doing here?!" Humdinger shrieked in annoyance.

"Hey, Boss, it looks like they're not alone this time!"

"Yeah, I'm seeing some party crashers in colorful cloth or something with the PAW Patrol and some weird-looking animals flanking them," Butch and Reuben noted, seeing the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue.

Mayor Humdinger then took notice of the Power Rangers and he suddenly gasped in shock before he began to seethe.

"Inconceivable, the Power Rangers!" he bellowed in fury.

"Alright, everyone, the first thing we need to do is to get all these people to safety. They need to be as far away from those fireworks as possible so we'll need to exercise caution while evacuating them from the perimeter of Town Hall!" Sarah informed, examining the situation at hand before she turned to Sophocles for a plan. "Sophocles, how good are we for an escape route for the victims caught in the crossfire?"

"We'll need to move them into the safety zones that are up north, south, east, west of here. And, that means getting them all away from the line of fire of those fireworks since they're flying all over the place so we'll have to move fast," the Togedemaru Ranger answered as he calculated the safety zones for the people on his Beast-X Navigator.

Sarah nodded before she turned to Ryder, "What do you think, Ryder? Can it be done while we put out the fireworks?"

"As we always say, no job or city's too big, no pup is too small! Come on, everybody, let's get to work!" Ryder nodded, agreeing to the plan.

But, with the masked scientist still calmly sitting on his bench amongst the panicked crowd, he looked to the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue as they prepared to secure Town Hall and save everyone from being blown to bits by Humdinger's fireworks show gone haywire. As he watched them setting out to work, his eyes widened from his mask as he saw a familiar winged Alaskan malamute pup among the heroes before he narrowed them darkly.

"I found you..." he hissed quietly.

"Chase, set up a perimeter! Cadence, you do aerial reconnaissance to see and inform everyone coming to Town Hall to stay clear!"

"On it!"

"Chase is on the case!" Ryder, Cadence, and Chase bantered, the first part of the plan beginning as of now.

Chase was the first to act as he drove down the street, pressing a button on his Police Cruiser and activating a tape dispenser as security tape blocked off the area to keep everyone safe, the people cheering in response to this.

"Arf! Shields, now!" Chase called, activating his vehicle's shields as it deployed protective armor over its middle portion, wheels, and back as he continued his operation.

"Come on, everybody! Keep calm and please do not panic, keep away from this area at all times until we have the situation under control!" Cadence warned anybody she sees coming from either street as she kept up with Chase and oversaw his progress.

Sarah, in the meantime, turned to her dragons along with her Pokemon as she spoke to them through her morpher, the monitor linked to the Poke-Carrier, and the dragons' head-coms to give them their own assignment.

"Winter, I need you and the other dragons to get everyone close to the fireworks to safety. See if you can draw them away from their line of sight and keep them from being hit. Calyrex, Spectrier, Glastrier, you three and the Swords of Justice are to do damage control once everyone's been evacuated! Nebby, if there are any fires around from the fireworks or any stragglers left behind, I want you all to put them out and get those people out of here! Now, go!"

"Got it, Sarah! Come on!"

"Right away, Princess! Everyone, move out!" Winter and Calyrex agreed as they set off to play their own parts.

While Winter and her fellow dragons approached the frightened visitors, they were startled and amazed to see them coming to save them as well. Gently bringing them to their backs, the Berkian dragons carefully guided the citizens to safety with Skye and Lillie overlooking them to ensure that nobody's left behind or falls off of them by accident. In the meantime, Calyrex (currently in Shadow Rider Form for speed), his sons, the Swords of Justice, Zorua, Zeraora, and Sarah's family all deployed their new hoverboards from the Poke-Carrier, shielding the victims from the more dangerous fireworks that threatened to hurt and burn them.

"Sarah, Ryder, those fires from the fireworks are starting to spread!" Lana called, pointing them to the flames.

"And, there are bigger rockets coming towards the citizens!" added Mallow in shock, pointing to the largest rockets threatening to get close to the dragons and their victims on their backs.

Seeing this, Race immediately called for Athena to join him as he prepared to help them despite his feelings, "Athena, prepare for launch, you and I are about to get in on the action!"

"Oh! R-Right! Coming your way, Race!" nodded Athena, quickly heading out and surprising Solar.

"Athena! Athena, wait, come back! Don't go out there!" he shouted but being too late to stop her as she acted upon Race's plea and deployed herself to the field of battle and met up with her human partner. "I'm ready! Hop aboard!"

"Okay, let's go!" the Pyroar Ranger nodded, immediately ejecting himself from his cruiser after finding the "Eject" button and allowing his Beast Bot to catch him as she got into Hovercycle Mode and they raced off to start their part in the operation, much to Sarah's shock.

"Hold on! Race, Athena, come back! You can't go against a bunch of powerful fireworks without getting yourselves burned!" she shouted, also being too late to warn them as they set off.

"Alright, Athena, I know this may seem scary since this is our very first mission and we know nothing about helping others on this scale... But, we have no choice but to do this. Those people don't deserve to die even if they did do me wrong by not helping me for even one minute back then," Race thought as they made their way to the victims and the dragons. "I know I have my misgivings about them and this deathtrap of a city but how different would I be if I leave them vulnerable to whatever goes wrong by Humdinger or what that mad doctor would do if he has Cadence and he takes his revenge on Adventure City?"

Gulping and steeling himself for what was about to come ahead of him and Athena, Race made his way to the victims and reached them while bringing out his Pyroar Fang to start being the dragons' line of defense.

"Okay, Athena, this is gonna be rough! Be ready to fire at any fireworks I missed before they hit the dragons and the victims they're evacuating!" he informed his Beast Bot. "It's showtime, let's go! I hope this thing's been honed at target practice or has a tracking agent tested as Lusamine told me! Pyroar Fang, Blaster Mode!"

Reading his voice command, the Pyroar Fang transformed into a Wild Force-inspired Lion Blaster designed like a Pyroar's head (male) and took aim as the first giant rockets made their appearance and started to get closer with Athena opening her mouth as she prepared to fire fireballs from her Power Pack.

"Don't fire until you see the rainbow of the rockets," he cautioned as they got closer and closer until... "And, fire!"

Without a single care for their own safety, Race and Athena fired away at the bigger rockets and they exploded, some of them giving them close calls while the dragons continued on their operation. The victims they were evacuating looked on in surprise and worry as the two of them continued to put their lives on the line to protect them while they were being escorted out of the danger zone.

"Daddy!"

"Are you and Athena crazy?!" Bella and Robbie bellowed worriedly from the Poke-Carrier, seeing Athena and their father blasting the rockets while taking a few unexpected hits but doing their best to hold on for the victims and the dragons.

The rest of Race's team were stunned and worried for them after they just up and went without waiting for Sarah to give them the all-clear to help out and, realizing that they have to help him and his Beast Bot before they could be burned to a crisp, they immediately went over to the doors and went on their own hoverboards (sans Calculator, Kit, Ella, Orpheus, and Falcon as they can float and fly along with Feathers, Wu and Wei, and Thunder) and went to give them a hand.

"Wait, you guys! Don't go out there!" Sarah cried in alarm. "It's too dangerous for you to help him!"

"Mom, we're too late! They're on their own and it looks like Race and Athena will need all the help they can get in keeping the dragons and the victims out of range of those fireworks!" Aqua replied, seeing some more of the bigger fireworks ricocheting towards them.

"We've got to put out those fires before they spread! They'll handle things from up there!" added Keldeo reassuringly.

"You got that right! I don't want to be burned alive by the Flames of Hades and my brother and I hate being around fire!" Hydro agreed, wanting to get the job over with so she and Hurricane don't have to be around any more flames.

"Right! Hydro, Hurricane, you, Parosea, Oshawott, Dracovish, Aqua, Vaporeon, Suicune, Keldeo, Sokka, Piplip, Aurorus, Snowflake, Tundra, Glaceon, and Arctozolt put out the fires! And, don't let one flame slip out from under you, we can't risk getting the victims being evacuated getting burned should they get careless and continue to run off in a panic," Sarah nodded as she issued an order to her Tidal Class dragons and her Water/Ice Pokemon.

"Aw, yeah! Soak 'em, baby!"

"Let them geysers and snowflakes fly, everybody!" Hydro and Hurricane commanded with an excited holler, setting their team to work on putting out the fires that started to grow bigger.

"Marshall, Rocky, give Sarah and her Pokemon, Hydro, and Hurricane a hand by putting out those fireworks!" Ryder added before he turned to Mallow and Kiawe for assistance. "Mallow, Kiawe, can you help them get the larger ones that slipped from us?"

"We're ready when you need us, Ryder!"

"You and Sarah give us the word and we'll handle the rest with Marshall and Rocky!" the Tsareena and Turtonator Rangers agreed, ready for action.

"Let's kick the tires and fight some fires!" Marshal concurred, setting off with Rocky to quell the fireworks while Mallow and Kiawe followed them from behind to deal with any straggler fireworks.

While the two hero teams got to work on the fires while keeping the citizens out of harm's way, seeing his plan backfiring in glorious fashion and having brought the last people and animals he wanted to see, Mayor Humdinger was led away along with his kittens to his car by Butch. He grumbled and whined bitterly about the PAW Patrol and their allies for ruining him and his victory celebration (despite the fact that it was him that busted his own "party" to begin with) and he vowed to do whatever it takes to make sure he and his KCC would come out on top. It also didn't help either that he now had a vendetta against the Power Rangers after his plans had now involved the world's greatest superheroes to step in and figure out what he's up to.

With nothing else to do but to go back to the drawing board, he, his goons, and his kittens drove off before they could be caught. But, unlike with them, the masked man continued to watch from his occupied bench, eying Cadence suspiciously and looking towards her family and friends, wondering what she had been doing since she escaped from him and his old team's grasp following their initial arrest. He also began to form a plan on how to take back Cadence and do away with the Alaskan malamute pup once the chaos had died down but if he hadn't done his research on the Power Rangers before seeing the Ultra Rescue team, he'd reckon without the Solgaleo Ranger herself.

"Keep on spraying! Brionne, Sandy, help them out with Surf!" Lana shouted, having her two partners join in as they soaked one pile of fireworks with a giant tidal wave.

Marshall and Kiawe went over to another giant pile of fireworks that still went off on the left side of the courtyard as Sarah looked to them, "We're ready on your end, guys! Go and give them a good soak!"

"Okay! Ready, Marshall?"

"Yeah, time to fight some fireworks! I'll take the biggies here, you take the smaller stragglers I miss!"

"Sounds like a plan to me!" Marshall and Kiawe agreed together.

The two of them activated their hoses and shot two streams of water onto the fireworks as they continued to go out on full blast but the hoses didn't cut the mustard as they weren't fully doused enough to be useless and prevent them from being released among the crowd.

"The hoses aren't strong enough for the big ones, Marshall! We're gonna need a lot more waterpower to put them all out before they get away!"

"Don't worry, Kiawe, I got just the thing to give them a bad day! Arf, Water Cannon, activate!" Marshall said as he and Kiawe quickly brought out two water cannons from their trucks and the dalmatian firefighter pup shot water balls to completely drench the bigger fireworks whilst Kiawe fired his Water Cannon at the smaller fireworks.

"Awesome!"

"Now, THIS is what I'm talking about! Fire Pokemon are usually my main forte but putting out dangerous flames from anything including fireworks and bad Fire Types is something I'm willing to make an exception!" Marshall and Kiawe smirked as they gave each other a knowing nod.

"Nice job, guys! Now, we'll need to get rid of the doused fireworks and make something more useful out of them," Sarah commended.

"This looks like a job for our recycling pup and your Grass Type classmate! Rocky, Mallow, you're up!" Ryder smiled knowingly, pitching in Rocky and Mallow to go on and clear away some of the other fireworks that haven't been detonated yet.

"Right! Don't refuse, reuse!"

"Roger that, Ryder! Operation: Fireworks Clean Up is good to go!" said hero pair complied as they backed their trucks up, lowered their tailgates, and scooped up the fireworks with ease before sending them to their hoppers.

"Crush 'em up, Rocky!"

"One order of crushed fireworks coming right up!"

Once they had as much of the fireworks as they got, they pushed a few buttons that allowed their hoppers to crush them which caused them to detonate and shake their vehicles like they were mechanical horses.

"YEEEEE-HAW!"

"Ride 'em, cowboy!"

"Hang in there, dude!"

"You too, Mallow!" Zuma and Lana warned as they watched.

"Oh, we're hanging! We're hanging!" called Mallow as she and Rocky's vehicles continued to rock and roll from the crushed fireworks.

"But, where's the scientist going after Cadence? He's gotta be hiding amongst the crowd" Ash reminded, realizing that they still have to find the mad man responsible for Cadence's previous suffering.

"I think we better find out where he's hiding since he wouldn't be crazy enough to allow himself to be captured since we know he's smarter than he looks. He would've learned a few new tricks had he learned his lesson following his arrest and the detaining of his old team," Ryder informed, knowing what they have to do.

"We best look around when we have those fireworks cleared out, first," Rubble suggested.

"Right. But, just to be safe, I'm going to do some reconnaissance and see if he's anywhere here. Ryder, I'm going to look for him. Can you and the others keep the fireworks bonanza busy while I'm gone?" Sarah informed, frowning knowingly.

Ryder nodded determinedly, "Yeah, you go and find him. We can take care of this."

"Thanks, keep it up but whatever you do, don't let Cadence out of your sight," she nodded before activating her morpher to call Race. "Hey, Race, how are you and Athena holding out up there?"

"All well and good, Island Girl! I now see why you and the others make this whole ranger thing look easy, a little overwhelmed but we're learning!" Race informed reassuringly.

"Me, too! I got a look cooked from the fireworks but I'm okay," added Athena, shivering a little but steeling herself.

"Alright, just be more careful and keep out of the line of fire from those fireworks coming at you. You and the others will be on your own for this one, I'm going to look for the mad scientist on the hunt for the scientist that escaped and is after Cadence. You got everything including the dragons covered?"

"Okay!"

"Yeah, I'd ask you to do the same!"

With the PAW Patrol and the other Ultra Rescue Rangers agreeing to stay in Town Hall and clear out the remaining fireworks along with continuing to find and evacuate the remaining citizens that failed to save themselves in time, Sarah went out of Little Night Light and took her Sun Sword and the Moon Shield with her to begin her search for the madman. Using her extensive sense of smell, she immediately picked up a revolting yet strange scent comprised of lab chemicals and animal fur coming from one of the benches and saw the masked man still in his original spot but now he's standing up.

The scientist picked up her presence when she looked his way as he began to put whatever plan he has for Cadence into action once he had his attention. He had found what or who he was looking for, now was his chance to see if he can draw the little Alaskan malamute to him and get her to drop her guard down so he can finish what he started.

Smirking under his mask and giving a small scoff, he moved out of the way of the fireworks and out of sight, prompting the suspicious princess to follow him quickly into one of the back alleyways. It wasn't until she caught him in one of those alleys, all alone and with no help to back him up around him as he calmly stood before her with his cloaked back turned, that Sarah began to notice something off about him and his approach to her.

"Who are you, are you the one my friends and I were told that escaped from prison and is looking for Cadence from the PAW Patrol?" Sarah demanded, preparing to draw her family's treasured sword. "What do you want with her, are you working with Humdinger or anybody who wants to do her and the PAW Patrol harm?"

"Humdinger, you say? Hmph, I could care less about that self-absorbed weasel of a mayor since he's the PAW Patrol's problem," the man scoffed out loud to her, unconcerned about the incompetent mayor. "But, that little malamute, she's my baggage. I've come to take her back and you're all in my way..."

"What could you want with Cadence after the way you and your old team left her traumatized by your mad experiments?! Any form of animal cruelty would guarantee a hefty fine or prison sentence let alone both if they're as extensive as they get! What you've done to her and any other animals you once had under your custody is low and insulting and shameful to humans and animals alike! You got yourselves life in prison for that and I won't be surprised if the new mayor, once Humdinger is out of the way and exposed for his own crimes, decides to take action and throw you back in your old penitentiary!"

"Let's just say I'm well aware of that and that this time, things between me and her will be much, much different. And, it all starts by seeing what you're capable of. I've always wanted to know how good the leader of the new Power Rangers Ultra Rescue really is," the scientist remarked with narrowed eyes through his mask before he snapped his fingers as a genetically engineered 5'00" white female lioness joined him from the shadows and snarled at her stunned prey.

"Wh-what did you do to that lioness?!" gasped Sarah quietly in total shock, seeing the lioness clearly thanks to her Night Vision.

"I've made some improvements ever since I escaped and resumed my team's experiments in the mafia ring. Made a deal with one of the criminal biggies who offered to help me with my mission and sure enough, three million dollars later, this is a sample of what I've newly made especially for Cadence, like it?"

"No, frankly, I don't! You stripped that poor lioness of both her natural beauty and personal pride! And, if you're thinking about getting Cadence to come to you willingly for the PAW Patrol's sake and their safety along with ours, I might have something to say about that!"

Sarah snarled furiously as she quickly transformed into her lion form from her Animagus transformation to battle on equal footing, intriguing the scientist as he looked at her in her lion form in surprise.

"Well, now... You must be something from those stupid Harry Potter movies called an Animagus, huh? Even with your ability to transform into a lion, can you match up to my creation? Now, we'll see how you would fare against my man-made animalistic fighting machine... Attack, my pet!"

The two lionesses snarled dangerously as they charged at one another, immediately getting into a scrap with the wild genetically-engineered lioness using Elemental Claw attacks. This immediate revelation threw the princess for a loop but she couldn't afford to dwell on it as she countered and canceled out its Fire Breath with her Water Breath attack before she shot it off of her and blasted it into one of the nearby walls.

The wild female didn't take too kindly to the water-related assault on it and lunged at Sarah with her claws coated in dark magic. But, she couldn't land a hit as the princess immediately dodged and rammed her into the walls again (this time, hitting the left wall). The scientist was left to ponder as he watched through his mask and thought about what he was witnessing from Sarah.

"Hmm, that girl... Even in her lion form, if those rumors I've been hearing about her were true after escaping from that accursed prison, she has the ability to harness and control natural elements at will... This could work to my advantage, but... Who the hell is she?" he thought, continuing to see the animalistic scrap taking place and unaware that the fight drew the attention of a frightened malamute as she looked on in horror and then screamed as the wild lioness attacked Sarah again.

Meanwhile, back at Town Hall, Chase had managed to secure the perimeter. So far, he was doing really well and he had no problems as far as he could tell.

"Ryder, the perimeter is secured! We're good to go for the rest of the operation!" he reported and deactivated his vehicle's armor, only to see a group of people in danger on a balcony at Town Hall as more fires headed their way.

"Oh no! Ryder, we got people up on the balcony and the dragons are too busy with the others right now! I'm going in after them!"

"Copy that, Chase! They're all yours until help comes, be careful!" Ryder nodded over the intercom.

"Hang on, I'm coming! Eject!" Chase called to the remaining victims calling out for help as he drove over and ejected from his Pupmobile and was launched out. "Arf, activate parachute!"

Upon his call, a blue parachute was ejected from his Pup Pack and he gently floated down to the people on the balcony to begin on what was the last part of the evacuation. "Don't worry, everything's going to be just fine! I'm gonna get you out of here! Everybody stay calm!"

But, the little German Sheppard hadn't taken into account that a sudden gust of wind (on account of the bad weather reports Kendra warned Humdinger about) had blown in. To the people's horror, the sudden gust caught his parachute, causing him to get swept up with the parachute ending up being caught on one of the pillars. And, what was worse, he was now dangling over the fire that threatened to reach the victims he was trying to rescue (said victims crying out in horror for him as they looked on helplessly).

"AHHHHH! Ryder, I'm stuck and I can't get out! HELP!" he screamed in panic.

"Chase, hang on! Marshall, Chase needs help! Hurry!" Ryder cried, seeing his best friend in danger.

"I'm on it!" nodded Marshall determinedly, immediately turning his firetruck around and shooting a water balloon out of his Water Cannon.

The water balloon left Chase completely drenched but he and the victims were all safe from the fire as it was put out, allowing Marshall to approach them and extend his truck's ladder to the balcony, spraying what remained of it and allowing the victims to come down safely. One of them managed to get Chase down from the pillar before he came down, too, and handed him to a relieved Ryder.

"Here you are, kid."

"Thank you, Sir. Don't worry, buddy, I got ya."

The others were also relieved as they reached Chase and called to him to see if he was alright as he was shivering from his previous fears taking over. The little police pup felt ashamed of himself for fouling up his part of the mission despite his best efforts and the victims' sympathy for him as they looked on worriedly. Suddenly, there was a panicked scream that made everybody jump in shock and panic but Chase soon felt cold, a wave of horror filling within him as he looked at his friends in the PAW Patrol, only to find that one of them was missing and nowhere in sight.

"What was that?" Ryder asked, startled.

"That was Cadence! I know that scream anywhere, she must be in trouble! Come on!" Chase shouted, immediately forgetting his previous fears as his affection for Cadence took him over and drove him to her with everyone else (including a shocked Liberty) following suit.

Minutes earlier, Cadence was able to complete her aerial reconnaissance as Chase finished up securing the perimeter. She was about to dive back into the fray and help out when she heard loud snarls and roars coming from one of the nearby alleyways. A bad feeling wafted in her heart and wanting to find out what was going on, she immediately investigated the scene going on under everyone's noses. The alleyway was dark, cold, and damp as she looked around for the disturbance; the little malamute felt very uneasy as she recalled her old street life after the death of her old owners and the torture and abuse she went through afterward before she was experimented on.

"H-Hello... I-Is...Is anybody in here?" she peeped fearfully, trying to be brave but failing as her old puppyhood trauma slowly filled her mind.

Then, she heard the snarls and the roars getting louder and louder as she got closer and closer to the source of them. Suddenly, she stopped and to her horror, she saw the masked scientist that traumatized her as their eyes finally met each other while the lioness scrap continued.

"Well, well, hello there, Cadence... We meet again," the scientist (voice reference: Zen-Aku (Power Rangers Wild Force)) sneered. "How's life been for you ever since you've thrown me behind bars along with my old team, hmm...?"

Sarah gasped in shock as she looked over to Cadence and her eyes widened, seeing the Alaskan malamute pup at her hiding spot and realizing that she had strayed away from her family and team when she heard her fight with the wild lioness.

Cadence couldn't respond as she began to whimper; she was absolutely petrified and overcome with fear as memories of the pain she went through in her torturers' experiments that gave her her eagle wings ran through her mind. Even though she couldn't see his face through his white Peking Opera mask, there was no denying in her mind that she knew who the voice belonged to. She didn't know what to say; what else could she say, how would she be able to speak when she was face-to-face with one of the very people that made her life an absolute misery and treated her as nothing more than a lab rat?

"My old buddies and I rotted in jail for FIVE WHOLE YEARS because of you when you leaked about our operations to the authorities with your presence and now, you have the nerve to return here after everything we've done...! After ruining our business and shutting us down, running away just when those men were about to take you to the pet shelter because you're afraid that everyone around here is cruel to you and nothing more than monsters! Do you have any idea how hard it has been for all of us knowing that you've destroyed us all after you escaped? Well, things are now different this time and I'm going to make you pay for humiliating me and for my confinement behind bars because of your incompetence and your betrayal!"

But, before he could take one step towards her while she screamed, Sarah knocked the lioness pinning her away and rammed the mad scientist back as she stood over the frightened malamute pup.

The scientist was winded from the attack on him as the white lioness stood in front of her master to protect him while he got himself together and snarled at the princess' defiance, "Why do you get in my way?!"

Sarah just snarled in response as she continued to stand over Cadence protectively, feeling personally responsible for letting her slip away from the PAW Patrol and her friends, thus unintentionally putting her in danger. The winged malamute just whimpered again as she stuck close to Sarah in a frightened nuzzle as she hid behind her as best she could, the scientist immediately getting what he was seeing.

"I see... You feel personally responsible for dragging her into my little trap and leading her far away from your friends and her family and now, you're planning to make it up to her by taking my creation down whether you'll join her or not. He-he-he-he... It's the same as you said earlier; if I want to get my prize and finish what I started years ago, I'll have to put you down and get past you first...Correct?"

Sarah snarled again, not wanting the scientist to continue his premature gloating and wanting to further ensure Cadence's safety.

"Okay, then... My pet, do as you wish with this teenage feline upstart..."

The scientist smirked as he signaled his white lioness to attack at full power, his creation immediately covering her claws in darkness again just as Sarah coated hers in white light in response. With Cadence watching helplessly as she remained in her original spot, she was forced to continue watching helplessly as they finally clashed and they struck at each other, their attacks colliding and creating a massive explosion that drew everyone else's attention as they hurried to the source of the blast.

"That blast, we're getting closer!" Chase informed, determined to find Cadence.

"But, what was it?" Skye asked before they arrived and found a dead white lioness, a shivering Cadence, and a battered Sarah back in human form.

"Cadence!"

"Island Girl!" Chase and Race gasped, quickly reaching the pair as the former gave Cadence a loving nuzzle to calm her down and the latter reaching Sarah as he held her and got her to her feet.

"What happened?"

"We heard you scream, Cadence. What's going on?" Ash and Marshall questioned.

Cadence whimpered as Chase continued to comfort her as best he could, eventually asking her gently, "Cadence, please tell us. What happened here while we were finishing our rescue operation?"

Cadence continued to whimper and shiver in terror until... "It's... I-I-I-I-I-it's, him, it's him! He's back, b-b-b-back! H-He's, he's in the c-c-city!"

The police pup started to grow worried, "Who's back, Cadence? Who's in the city? Who, who?!"

"T-T-T-T-T... The s-scientist that...that e-e-experimented m-me... I-I saw him! He tried to take me, but... Sarah, she saved m-me, a-and..."

Cadence couldn't take it anymore as she finally broke down sobbing as she nuzzled Chase, thinking it was her fault that Sarah got herself hurt to protect her after she crossed paths with the scientist after so long. The PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers could only gasp and look on in pity and horror for Cadence as the deadliest part of her tragic past had resurfaced and was back to take revenge on her, no matter what the cost and who would get in his way, intentionally or otherwise.

"Urgh, no... It's my fault, Cadence," Sarah rebutted gently, groaning from her wounds.

"I shouldn't have fought that white lioness of his... But, I was just so mad at what that monster's done to her. If I'd reported back and if he hadn't shown what he had done to that creature to me when I caught him, you wouldn't have had to meet him again nor find out what was going on here. I should've just run and taken you with me back to the others and the PAW Patrol when I had the chance but you nearly paid the price because of me...!"

"White lioness?!" the heroes gasped.

"Geez, now I know I wasn't imagining or hearing things when I started to hear something prowling around the back alleys for several nights before you came along," Liberty commented in surprise as she looked at the dead lioness. "At least that scratches whatever problem we might've had with that big kitty cat off the table. But, there's one thing I don't get; aren't lions usually supposed to be in a shade of yellow, fifty shades, give or take, and nothing like snow white and tawnier and smaller?"

"I remember the scientist telling that he genetically engineered it ever since he broke out of jail, you can thank some crazy high-ranking criminal in the mafia for giving him the funds he lost to continue his 'project rejects'. He changed their genetics so they could be able to use Elemental Manipulation just as Cadence, Race, and I can, and now, he knows that because I not only showed him but he somehow knew about us. Who knows what else he's got cooked up in his biogenetic kitchen and who knows how many more animals he's mutated into monsters? And, what's worse, if he finally gets his hands on Cadence, who could tell what he's trying to do now if he still plans to destroy her and also use her as leverage before doing so?"

Cadence whimpered again as Chase frowned somberly as he nuzzled her and mentally beat himself up, feeling partially responsible for not checking up on her and finding her sooner along with failing to rescue the last victims from the fire Marshall saved them and him from.

"Let's just get back home so we can recover and figure out what to do should he and/or Humdinger try anything funny," Race suggested as they all quickly retreated to the towers now that their mission is complete.

However, as they were making their way back to rest up and figure out what Mayor Humdinger and the scientist's next plans of attack are, they had no idea that they were being watched by a 5'00" tall grey wolf with grey and white-shaded eagle wings as it narrowed its eyes.

If that wasn't crazy enough, twenty more wolves of the exact same shape, size, and coloration appeared from the shadows and looked set on taking down the heroes when they least expected it. That would've been the case and the Alpha Wolf wouldn't have objected to their shared predator-prey relationship with other creatures and such if it weren't for the masked scientist holding out a hand and stopping them as he appeared, seeing the PAW Patrol and Power Rangers leaving with Sarah and Cadence in tow.

"Leave them, my pets, we've done enough. My white feline may have failed in her attack on the girl but she did her duty and we now know what we're up against," he informed, seeing the heroes disappear around the corner. "Fall back to HQ and we'll figure out what to do from here. I've got another surprise waiting for them, especially the girl and Cadence, to send a message to her and all of Adventure City...That my old company, Animal Genetics Ultima Inc., has come home..."

With that said, the wolves growled and bowed to him in acknowledgment of his demands as they all disappeared back into the shadows to plan out the next stage of whatever plan the scientist has in store to ensure that Cadence's ultimate fate upon her return to Adventure City was officially sealed.

When the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers made it back to their respective towers, they've reported the success of their rescue operation to everyone else and returned to their respective towers. As they were having dinner together in the Ultra Rescue Tower after they were sure they were refreshed for whatever was ahead of them tomorrow despite their nerves threatening to kick in again, they told everyone that stayed behind everything that went down including their encounter with the scientist and one of his creations.

"I see... So, you finally came across the scientist that broke out of jail before his white lioness attacked you after the victims were rescued, Sarah?" Lusamine recapped.

"Yeah. Somehow, he found out about us and he gave his white lion the ability to use Elemental Manipulation," Sarah confirmed as Tsukumaro patched her up as best he could.

"She even found out that a high-ranking criminal in the mafia gave him the funds he needed to resume his experiments, at least three million dollars or so to get them going again after making a deal," Kiawe added grimly.

"And, that white lion was just the start. Who knows what other creatures he has on him and genetically engineered to deal with us and the PAW Patrol?" Mallow agreed.

"This is very worrying. Who, in the mafia, would be so ruthless and be generous to a man dealing with such a tedious and life-threatening project? And, how was it was he able to get any intel on Elemental Manipulation?" Wicke pondered, concerned about the situation.

"I suppose we'll find the answer as to who's responsible for rebooting his old team's operations once we somehow capture him before he starts to go after us and the city personally let alone targets Cadence again," Burnet put in.

Lusamine nodded in agreement to Burnet's sentiments as she turned to her rangers, "Then, I suggest you all keep a lookout for him and try to see what he's been doing that allowed him to reboot his old team's experiments if he shows up again. For now, you all deserve a rest after that perilous mission in dealing with those fireworks, well done, all of you."

She then turned to Race with a mischievous glint, "Oh, and Race, try not to leave your girlfriend hanging when you and Athena go off on your own like that..."

This prompted a startled Race to suddenly choke on his glass of water as he was still having his dinner and everyone else to give a laugh, not appreciating the fact that Lusamine was touching into his relationship with Sarah again along with everyone else since they've yet to marry and he had a few things to do before they can officially tie the knot.

While the Ultra Rescue Rangers and their families do their best to relax and be cool-minded in preparation for what was about to come during their stay in Adventure City, the PAW Patrol, having finished their dinner, were doing their best to comfort Cadence after her run-in with her old enemy. Chase, on the other hand, was alone with Ryder as he checked the little German Sheppard all over to make sure he didn't sustain any injuries from his fouled-up attempt to save the last victims from Humdinger's fireworks fires. He was relieved to find out that he came out of the incident with none and he wasn't too worse for wear.

"Well, you look okay. How do you feel?" he asked kindly.

"Ugh, I can't believe I forgot to disconnect my parachute when that gust of wind came in. That's Air Rescue 101!" Chase stated in self-loathing and frustration.

"Well, you make a mistake and learn from them. And, that's why we're a team; everyone pulled together despite the odds when we least expect them and everything turned out okay."

"But, what if things don't work out in the end, for once? What if something happened to all those people we didn't rescue in time and it'll end up being all my fault? I couldn't protect Cadence when we realized too late that she didn't meet up with us after doing aerial reconnaissance or those people when I found them. What good am I as a PAW Patrol Pup if I can't protect those in need when they really need me or the one...I'm most fond of?"

Ryder frowned sadly as he did his best to comfort Chase as he was left to mope around and stew in his own self-loathing and misery at failing the one job he had done years of doing and perfecting as a hero pup as the night wore on until everyone in the towers went to bed.

Later that night, a news report regarding the fireworks incident was being aired all over the city with Marty Muckraker giving the inside scoop as video footage of the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers' heroics at Town Hall were just being shown.

"Guardians, heroes, cutie little dogs in adorable outfits, and, to top it all off, eight extraordinary kids in spandex with these fascinating creatures we call Pokemon and dragons, oh my!" Muckraker began as he went on the air.

"Well, whatever you call these lovable misfits, the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue from the Alola Region were here to save the city from Mayor Humdinger's disastrous fireworks debacle. As a professional journalist, it's important that I remain unbiased. That being said, I-Oh! Yikes, uh, sorry folks! Uh, he-he, got carried away there for a sec. Anyways, it was as embarrassing of a start for Mayor Humdinger in his tenure as Adventure City's new mayor but this turned out to be an incredible debut for the world's newest superheroes in the form of the PAW Patrol and the new Power Rangers Ultra Rescue in Adventure City!"

The TV that the news report was being aired in addition to everywhere else was then struck with a shoe thrown at it as a frustrated Mayor Humdinger stewed in his anger and humiliation over the PAW Patrol having come to Adventure City in to clean up his mess again. But, this time, they were not alone as they had some help from the Power Rangers and it was clear that his previous follies the canine heroes had to make right along with the compounding additions of the new kids in spandex hours ago was getting to him. He couldn't understand why he was always being thwarted at every turn in everything he does but regarding the Power Rangers, since he had no prior knowledge about Sarah and her friends he had no idea as to what team they are.

"This just can't be! URGH, PAW Patrol, PAW Patrol! PAW Patrol this, PAW Patrol that! RAGH, I, AM, SICK hearing about the PAW PATROL! I don't get it, how did they find out I was here and why were they able to come here?" he raged while a worried Butch and Reuben tried to find out more about the new Power Ranger team.

"I came here to Adventure City to finally get away from them and finally make a name for myself and then, once I had everything under control even with our follies, those meddling pups are all over the news! And, now, they've gone off and have stolen the headlines that I should've been making! Plus, if my problems didn't get any worse, they absolutely did with those meddling kids in those disgusting circus outfits from the Alola Region joining them in helping them foil my plans! Why? Why, out of all people, did the Power Rangers, the new Power Rangers Ultra Rescue, decide to come to Adventure City themselves with the PAW Patrol and give me nothing but grief over what they saw as my crimes and not my accomplishments?!"

"Hey, Boss, I think we found something about the Power Rangers and that winged malamute pup you might be interested in," Butch called, reading an article about Cadence from the previous mayor's archives recalling the city's recorded history. "The winged pup was actually an illegal animal hybrid experimented on right here and the city and the original science team spearheading the project was arrested on multiple charges of animal cruelty and she ran away before she could be sent to an animal shelter in town."

Mayor Humdinger hummed in thought, intrigued over what he was hearing, "Hmm... Interesting, an illegal hybrid animal by wanted science crooks who escaped following their arrest... Go on, men, what else...?"

"And, this is about those new rangers. The strange creatures that had been assisting them in the cases involving the Ultra Pillars, the most powerful and well-known Ultra Beasts in the Ultra Dimension, are called Pokemon and those wacky lizards are actually real live dragons. And, that's not all, their leader turns out to be Sarah Tomoe, who was the Lost Princess of Alola AND the strongest member of the team having some powerful Legendary and Mythical Pokemon with her," added Reuben, reading an article on the new Power Rangers.

"A princess, you say? Hmm, that does explain her unmatched power," replied a voice, making the three men turn to the office door as the scientist and a 5'00" grey wolf with white-shaded wings entered and heard what they had said.

"And, who exactly are you, stranger?" Humdinger asked curiously.

The scientist took off his mask and revealed his blue-eyed tan face underneath his hood as he introduced himself as, "The name's Cameron, Professor Cameron Cawthorn; leading scientist of animal Genetics Ultima Inc. for the once-defunct Animal Mutations project."

This reveal from the scientist garnered surprised stars and gasps/meows from Humdinger, his kittens, and his henchmen as they saw the genetically-engineered wolf and his face clearly as they remembered a report they heard about his company's shutdown and his and his old team's arrest.

"Professor Cawthorn of Animal Genetics Ultima Inc.? THE Cameron Cawthorn himself? But, I thought you and your buddies went down along with the company five years ago after you were busted," Humdinger blinked in surprise.

"We were and we rotted in jail on hefty sentences since then. However, while the others had given up and resigned themselves to fate, I, on the other hand, decided to prove them wrong and made my escape two weeks ago. Turns out, the police and the government didn't completely destroy all of our little...pets, after raiding the laboratory as they hoped and now, with these babies I've created after garnering a little help from the mafia, I'm about to finish what I've started in this blasted city and put an end to the malamute that ruined us!"

Cameron then paced around the room as he kept his attention on Humdinger, "But, I'm sure you've read the reports pertaining to the arrests, the shutdown, and Cadence, right? She's actually the first of my successful experiments that escaped but my mission was compromised by the appearance of those Power Rangers and the PAW Patrol, especially the ranger team's royal leader."

"As with my creations after some experimentation and trial and error along with several sleepless nights on my part, she revealed to me during my little test for her that she also has the power of manipulating the natural elements at her own free will and using them to combat her foes. You three stooges have any more leads as to what other powers she has according to the articles?"

"Well, there does seem to be a trio of family heirlooms that belong to her and her parents, the Last King and Queen of Alola, including the strange sword and shield and that amulet she wears around her neck. The last one was very personal as it was made especially for her back then, she keeps it with her all the time," Butch noted, going through another article but one that pertains to Sarah. "There's also some sort of mythical power that came from the Disney cartoon, The Lion Guard, called the Roar of the Elders, and she has a scepter thing that allows her to control dragons easily."

"A magic scepter to control those legendary reptiles of fantasy? Hmm, how intriguing," Mayor Humdinger commented with a thoughtful nod as he scratched his chin.

"I see... Very interesting, boys. Well, I don't think you'll last very long at the rate you're going and I could care less about your qualms given how you fouled yourself up tonight. But, I have plans for that little wench of royalty and she might be of some use to me and my new crew I've wrangled up in the underground. And, you've just given me what I needed to carry them out; with all of her powers at my command, my new creations will be unstoppable and everyone who wronged me and my old team and our company will fall before me!"

"Creations, what creations?" Humdinger asked Prof. Cawthorn. "Maybe your creations can help me deal with a few stragglers I want to put off from my headlines."

"Hmph, and what could you do with them? My creations only offer their allegiance to me and me alone, how can an old windbag like yourself handle them?"

Mayor Humdinger huffed in annoyance at Cawthorn's skepticism of him, "Hmph! I'll have you know that my fireworks display was just a simple accident that went out of hand due to a minor setback and I was handling the disaster just fine before the PAW Patrol butted in!"

"And, what makes you think you won't foul up your so-called plans the next time you decide to roll out your little ego trip? How exactly can you convince me to lend you a few of my babies just to soothe your already-bruised ego?"

"Well, as it stands now, I'm the mayor of Adventure City and what I say goes when it's for the good of this place since I'm putting the 'Adventure' back where it belongs. Your pets will be of great help to me and my men and if you can make a few of them for me for my plans, I'll gladly help you put down those meddling runts, for good. How about it, Professor?"

Cameron was amused by Humdinger's vibrato but while he decided to humor him on his request, he just gave a sarcastic and knowing laugh.

"Very well, but don't forget, you don't understand anything about them at all. Did you three even do your homework on those two, I want both of them alive if I want my new plans to go to fruition. They both have a lot of people of all kinds they care about and in their case, a few particular someone(s) close to their hearts they'll just die to protect. The greatest weakness of a warrior of love and justice, one I'm sure that is sure to be exploited in due time..."

That night, while everyone else was asleep in the two towers, the only ones that remained awake were Chase and Race. Both of them were unable to sleep peacefully as nightmares about their previous lives in Adventure City started to plague them. While the latter was able to come to terms with his prejudices about Adventure City, the Battle Frontier Champion couldn't get rid of his hatred for all those who didn't lift one finger to help him out of the jam he was in and left him to starve and die during his childhood.

The pair, in their teams' respective towers, sighed as they got out of bed and walked down towards the Command Centers and stared out the windows as Adventure City sleeps or continues their nighttime throwdowns as big-name cities like London, Beijing, Tokyo, and especially, New York City, have done. They gave another sad and slightly frustrated sigh as the city brought back their worst memories, threatening to swallow them into the pit of despair that still lurked in the back of their minds, wondering what their continued stay and their follies (particularly in failing to save Sarah and Cadence) would mean for them.

However, Chase and Race would have it easier compared to Cadence, who was tossing and turning in fright as she whimpered and was having horrible nightmares about her time in Cameron and his old team's custody for their experiments, their rounds of torturing her neverending as their menacing cackles rang in her head...Until she finally yelped and broke out in a cold sweat, miraculously not waking her deep-sleeping teammates.

Unable to sleep after her latest nightmares and still whimpering in terror, she climbed out of bed before sneaking into Ryder's room and nudging the door open to find said hero boy fast asleep before she came up to his bed.

"R-R-R-Ryder...?" she peeped, allowing him to hear her as he slowly opened his eyes and saw his malamute pup looking terrified as she shook.

"Cadence, mmm... What's wrong, can't sleep?" he asked, looking over at her in surprise while he rubbed the sand out of his eyes.

"...I c-c-can't, these n-nightmares... I-I-I keep h-h-having, t-them."

The hero boy frowned knowingly, "About when you were still with those bad people?"

Cadence nodded as she started to cry and placed her front paws on his bed pleadingly, "P-P-Please... Don't l-l-let them t-take me... I-I... I don't w-wanna go back, I-I'm scared!"

Ryder continued to smile sadly as he picked up Cadence and hugged her.

"It's alright, Cadence. You're with us now and you're safe so that horrible scientist won't do any harm to you while we're here, that's all that matters. Chase and the others will make sure of that, we failed to protect you last time but it won't happen again. He'll have to take down all of us first if he wants to get to you."

Cadence was so grateful that she tearfully nuzzled Ryder before the two of them went off to sleep, the winged malamute pup feeling slightly at ease with her father figure by her side and the promise he, their new friends and allies, and her family will uphold to her.

Three days had passed and things had started to wind down but with some minor differences; the fireworks debacle from three nights ago had landed a sizable hit on Humdinger's "popularity" with the citizens as they were unimpressed with how he was handling things ever since he was elected and the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers were starting to become popular with them following their heroics (even if they had to keep their egos in check from the praise being sent their ways). However, there had been strange and unexplained reports on big cat and wolf sightings coupled with vicious attacks in Adventure City, baffling the police force as there had never been any signs of big cats or wolves being recorded to have ever lived in the city, at all.

During that time, Ash and the others were enjoying themselves as they decided to give themselves a break before they would go back on the job to find out what Humdinger would do next and what Cameron would be plotting in the shadows (even if everyone else didn't know who he exactly is, yet). All the while, they kept an eye out for both of them as they went out on an outing to further check out Adventure City with poor Tsukumaro continuing to experience culture shock over everything in the new and modern world still completely different from what he was used to back then in his, Delilah, and Doug's day.

"Uh... P-Princess, I'm not sure about this..." he stuttered worriedly, intimidated by the skyscrapers and the other buildings as well as the lifestyles people are living out as they were walking.

"You'll do fine around here, dearie," Diane reassured.

"Just stick close to us and don't get lost," Johnathan agreed.

In fact, deciding to get the citizens more accustomed to their presence, the Swords of Justice, Delilah and Doug's pokemon team, the entire Jungle guard, Arrietty, Sho, Fennekin, Snom, Swablu, Phanpy, Cyndaquil, Piplup, Skiddo, Appletun, Buneary, and the Cyberspace Pokemon joined the group. The dragons and the mythicals, in the meantime, decided to stay behind so as to not attract any unwanted attention and start a panic amongst the citizens.

Following a map that they've been given of Adventure City's layout, Lillie and the girls are leading the group to what is a large shopping mall and one of the best there to do some shopping. This, of course, earned sighs from all of the men and boys among the humans and Pokemon with them (the girls not taking any notice of them as they all squealed in delight). However, their tagalongs (which also included Zeraora and Zorua as they wanted to get to know the city a little more) just chuckled in amusement (even though there were confused looks among the Cyberspace Pokemon over the concept of shopping).

Arriving at and entering the shopping mall complex, they found it to be huge and absolutely packed with shops selling all kinds of clothes, books, toys, movies, music, and other general merchandise the world can offer to everybody around. There were even some restaurants and cafeterias offering many different types of food and makeshift coffee areas dotted across the mall to allow shoppers a chance to take a break from their purchases and grab a quick snack or drink.

This threw Sarah's tagalongs, Tsukumaro, Xatu, and Absol for an absolute loop as they gawked in shock over the size of the mall's entire layout.

What caught the girls' attention was the array of clothing, accessory, and jewelry shops which provided them endless opportunities for shopping. In addition, the food parlors (for the boys including Ash, Kiawe, and Sophocles) offered food from the likes of McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Popeyes, Taco Bell, Wawa, Panda Express, even Golden Corral.

Nikki dragged her husband and their Pokemon into a clothing shop that caught her eye, leaving Lucario, James, and his Pokemon to shudder and groan as they watched Nikki, Deerling, Luna and Dusk's mother, and Axew (since he was still a baby and was interested in what his new trainer was doing). And, since they had never seen how humans are like and what they do when they shop for anything, Flitter and Flutter joined them as they chirped and tilted curiously.

Diane and Johnathan decided to take Tsukumaro and his team with them on a tour of the mall while Ash and the Pokemon School Gang instead decided to explore the mall together with their Pokemon.

As for the princess and her boyfriend, Sarah and Race instead looked around the shops for items to give to their new Pokemon to officially welcome them to their teams/families.

For Sho, Arrietty, and the Cyberspace Pokemon, they were all given Expert Belts; after finding another Charizardite X and Charizardite Y for Kaji and Amber, Sarah had them fixed on newly-made collars (should they decide to choose their secondary Mega Evolutions when they needed them) along with a new armband fixed with a new Lucarionite for Cobalt, an Altarianite and Lopunnite for Swablu and Buneary (made into necklaces) for when they'll eventually grow up and evolve.

With the Baby Jungle Pokemon, they wanted to try some of the sweets being offered like ice cream and candy but as before, their older siblings and Sarah reminded them that they are too young to have sweets. Piplup then tried to demonstrate this by eating hot fudge, burning his mouth in the process and making them laugh at his misfortune.

Soon, after making their purchases (with Race making his own after Sarah had her own covered), the two of them regrouped with their friends (the girls getting their own shopping sprees completed with Ash, Kiawe, and Sophocles sharing the brunt of carrying their stuff) and the rest of Sarah's family and saw Nikki's Lucario, James, and his team (sans Deerling and Axew) all struggling to carry some large bags that were stuffed with all the new clothes she bought for herself.

As for Tsukumaro, despite his culture shock still taking hold of him since he's never seen anything like huge shopping malls in his previous life, Diane and Johnathan did their best to show him around the place and get him further acquainted with what else the modern world has to offer. They even decided to buy him a new outfit humorously inspired by Newt Scamander's getup in place of his old clothing. He thought of himself as looking a bit weird as he was without his original duds as he looked in the mirror and inspected his new clothing but the more he looked at his own reflection, the more he felt good and more comfortable in the new outfit Sarah's adoptive grandparents bought for him.

After spending the entire morning shopping and having lunch at the mall, everyone made their way back to the towers. But, as they were making their return trip, the boys couldn't help but notice some of the city folk throwing Sarah and Cadence odd, suspicious, and slightly fearful looks before they snapped out of them and continued on with their own business when said malamute pup and the princess looked their way.

"Like, dudes, am I going crazy, or am I seeing everybody throwing crazy looks at Sarah and Cadence?" Zuma noticed, seeing the odd looks and getting everyone's attention.

"Yeah, we were heroes a few nights ago and I expected everyone to be as friendly as Liberty," Rubble added nervously.

"Then, why do I get the feeling that they're being anything but friendly to them?" questioned Mallow, worried.

Their suspicions grew as they continued on their way back to the towers but they were only confirmed when a police car came by and the Adventure City Police Chief and an old friend of Lusamine, Ryan Wilman, came out and approached them with a worried look.

"Oh, Chief Ryan, is there something wrong?" Lusamine questioned.

"Hello, Lusamine. I'm sorry but I'm not here for a social visit, I'm sure you heard the reports involving a former scientist of the defunct Animal Genetics Ultima Inc., correct?" he said to the Aether Foundation director, much to everyone's confusion and worry.

"Why, yes. We've been given the reports and we're here to see if we can find and apprehend him but why did you come here?"

Ryan looked around him to see if anybody else was watching before he handed her a brown envelope, "Please open this when you get back to your HQ and you'll see why I'm rather concerned about this. I warn you, though; what you'll find inside will come as a wee bit of a shock..."

The news of whatever Ryan brought to them left everyone worried, making Sarah and her friends along with the PAW Patrol exchange gravely concerned looks with each other. But, what they and Ryan hadn't counted on was that they were being watched by a black-winged wolf and Cameron (once again wearing his cloak and mask from before) watching them before they disappeared.

Later, after returning to the towers and reviewing the contents of Chief Ryan's envelope, everyone (including the Pokemon School Gang's families) look in shock, horror, frustration, and outrage as they were greeted with the sight of two pieces of paper. As he told everyone earlier, what they found inside it was indeed a shock and by a lot instead of a bit. When unfolded, they were revealed to be wanted bounty posters featuring Sarah and Cadence with a rewards piece for them.

"This is an outrage!" Lusamine raged, slamming a frustrated fist on them.

"I don't believe it!" Ryder agreed, also frustrated by the turn of events.

"They're Wanted Posters!"

"And, they have Cadence and Sarah plastered on them with a reward placed on them for any wrongdoing!" Chase and Skye gawked in shock, making Cadence whimper again and leaving Chase to comfort her as best he could.

"How could the people do this to them?! And, after they helped and spearheaded the rescue operation when Mayor Humdinger's fireworks display went AWOL!" Sophocles grunted in anger.

"This is terrible!" Abe reacted worriedly.

"I thought the people knew better than to jump to conclusions before knowing the truth!" Burnet added, feeling insulted.

"Wanted for the reported attacks and sightings of big cats and wolves prowling around the city?" gasped Kukui, reading the warnings on the posters.

"This can't be happening!" Simo fretted.

"The only thing I'd like to know is who's the joker responsible for issuing these posters and placing these bounties on Sarah and Cadence," growled Kiawe, not taking said pair's predicament lightly.

"I know who, guess who are the ones that decided to take this wanted threat to the next level," frowned Ulu, seeing the posters and finding two signatures on the bottom that said "Humdinger" and "Cawthorn".

Cadence started crying as she buried herself onto Chase and Sarah (whom she was standing next to), curling around the latter. "I-I-I knew this would h-h-happen! T-This is why I d-didn't want to come here!"

"But, why would Mayor Humdinger and this Cawthorn character place a bounty on both Sarah and Cadence for the sightings of those cats and wolves along with the attack reports?" Marshall questioned skeptically, still in shock. "There's no way they would ever hurt anybody and I don't remember Sarah being in possession of only big cats and winged wolves."

"That's about as low as it gets!" growled Zuma.

"Even loser!" an incensed Rocky agreed.

"There's one thing I don't follow yet, who's this Cawthrown guy?" Skye questioned. "And, what was he trying to prove with all of this?"

"By the looks of it and judging from the reports we've been pouring in while you were gone, Cawthorn is actually Cameron Carthorn, one of the original scientists of Animal Genetics Ultima Inc. that was shut down five years ago," Ulu explained, producing the reports and any information the Aether Foundation had been giving on Cameron.

"Technically, when Cadence leaked about his and his old team's illegal operations after she escaped to the authorities somehow, he blamed her for his being ruined and his time behind bars for his crimes. I guess, after escaping from prison and hooking up with the mafia, when he found out that you were coming back to Adventure City, he thought it was perfect for him to carry out his revenge plot. And, now that he's hooked up with Mayor Humdinger since he probably bribed him into lending him some of his new creations, their framing you for those reports as well as the recent attacks are most likely a cover-up for something more sinister in the shadows given what happened with that genetically-engineered lioness you told us about."

"But, why would Humdinger be working with that creep when it was clear Cameron's much more dangerous than he could ever be?" Chase questioned in disbelief.

"We'll find out once we have him and question him. But, this compromises everything; with a price tag on them this big, there's no doubt that any local gangs hanging around here and the mafia won't resist hunting Sarah and Cadence down," Ryder frowned.

"What are we gonna do? Chief Ryan and his team couldn't possibly believe this," Lana begged.

"I'm sure that given he's also concerned about the bounty and for their safety when he came across those posters, he can't believe the accusations being thrown right away without solid evidence," Burnet stated determinedly.

"For now, it's best that we prepare for the worst," Lusamine agreed as she turned to Cadence and Sarah. "Sarah, Cadence, I'm sorry but you'll have to remain in the towers for your own safety."

Sarah just nodded knowingly despite her reluctance while Cadence was a bit hesitant, not liking the idea of being cooped up for too long and feeling useless until she sighed and replied with, "O-Okay..."

Chase couldn't help but feel sorry for the winged malamute and he gently approached her while giving her a gentle nuzzle, "It's okay, Cadence. We'll speak to Chief Ryan over this whole thing and we'll see if he believes this nonsense and has any ideas on what to do about it before it gets worse and the people would resort to violence on the matter."

"You think he'll be understanding compared to everyone else regarding this whole debacle?" Lana questioned.

"Let's hope he is. Although, he does seem to be as worried as the rest of us," Mallow put in, remembering how gravely concerned Ryan was after he delivered the wanted posters.

Returning to the mayor's office, Humdinger was with Cameron, Butch, and Reuben as they watch the rumblings about Sarah and Cadence going on outside while the "elected mayor" was looking through the wanted posters that he and the rogue scientist had created and signed.

"So, Doctor, remind me again why we've agreed to place a bounty on the heads of that malamute and the princess?" Humdinger questioned.

Cameron sighed, he was finding Humdinger to be a little trying, "Such a simple-minded fool; I told you before, this bounty along with the wanted posters will help to keep our intended targets alive in the long run. I've been doing my homework on them for the past few days. And ,with the money I'm offering for whatever potential wrongdoing they'll end up creating (which is a black money lie, obviously) followed by us framing them for the reports of my pets which are exact copies of them including the princess in her lion form and the recent attacks I've cooked up with them, the police will have no choice but to separate the two. Then, once they're out of range of both of their meddling hero teams, they'll both be ripe for the picking."

"Well, what happens if that fails and the people are no longer convinced when they find out the truth? And, if the police should get involved after they see through our wanted bounty ploy...?"

"I'm way ahead of you on that one, you simpleton," chuckled Cameron darkly.

"You should know by now that those two were never let out of anyone's sight whenever they're in range of their friends and families. I've planned for us to use the tried-and-true method of Divide and Conquer; as I've mentioned before, once the two of them are split from those weasels, we'll capture them and use them as bait to force them to heed to our demands. Then, once they're in line, you're free to do as you please with those annoying lizards in the girl's possession as long as you claim her scepter so nobody will be able to undermine you again. And, since you've been asking for them since we started..."

Once he was done pacing and he faced Humdinger, he snapped his fingers and signaled for a pack of four brown and white-winged grey wolves he genetically engineered to assist the arrogant yet incompetent mayor with his new plan of action to undermine the PAW Patrol and celebrate himself as the new mayor of Adventure City.

"Ooh, goodie! Well done, I like where you're getting at, my friend," replied Humdinger as he also chuckled darkly but was unaware that Cameron wasn't going to abide by his demands completely since he had his own plans to carry out still.
