"Scope and drop," Garrus yelled out as he scored another head shot, "Just like old times Shepard."

With a grunt Shepard planted a bullet into a Geth's optics. "Yea, all we need now is the Mako and we're in business."

Garrus turns to the human Spectre with fixed glare, "No," he said in a monotone. "I will never were allow you to drive that evil machine again."

Shepard rolled his eyes, "Come on it wasn't that bad."

"Yes, Yes it was," Garrus stated starring down the scope of his M-92 Mantis, "And your driving didn't even help either. You even scared Wrex with it. WREX!"

Before Shepard could launch a counter retort Kasumi cut in, "As much as I love listening to you two's banter. You might want to listen to this." The groups com's were suddenly full of….

"Is that music?" Shepard asked looking Garrus with a confused glance. The Turian sniper just shrugged and went back to snipe at the Geth that were trying to advance to their position. "EDI what's going on?" Shepard said into his helmet's communicator. The human was quiet as the AI explained what had happen.

…..

"FOX DID WHAT?!" Shepard yelled out.

"Uhh Shepard," Garrus said nudging his friend, "Is that who I think it is?" Shepard turned his head to see Garrus pointing at something in the sky. Following the direction that the talon was pointing the commander saw a small black dot falling from the sky with occasional flames spitting out in random directions.

"I'm going to fucking kick his ass," Shepard cursed as he watched the dot fall towards in the direction of the Quarian base. "Kal, you have friendly reinforcements heading your way besides us."

"Where from," the Quarian in charged asked.

It took a moment to Shepard to respond, not really knowing how to explain it, "Uh…south…skyward."

A few moments earlier.

My ears were assaulted by the sound of the roaring wind as I shot to the ground from the atmosphere. "Ed," I spoke into my mask, "Play Survive- by Sick Puppies and lock on to the Quarian signal."

"You got it boss."

"Play the song on all frequencies as well please."

"Can anybody hear me,"a voice crackled through my suit's built in communicator, "this is Tali'Zorah can somebody please pick up." When I heard Tali's voice I couldn't help but to have a mini fan boy moment. That change when I picked up on her tone. It sounded so sad, scared, and defeated. Now I really have to pick up the pace.

I turned on my communicator and responded, "You rang?" I spoke.

"W-Who is this?" Tali stuttered out before she recovered and spoke with a tone that had some authority in it, which I found kinda cute. "This is a private com. How did you get this line? In fact what are you doing here?"

"My name is Shadow Fox your residential superhero, and I was in the area when I heard your distress call," I explained, "Thought I stop by and see if I could help."

"Shadow Fox?" Tali inquired while a voice in the back ground said, "Wait did you say Shadow Fox?" there was a pause before, "let me speak to him."

"Fox?" the familiar voice of Shili spoke.

"Sup," I said in a relax tone.

"Don't you sup me where are you?" Shili asked in her scolding tone but I could hear the relief in it though.

"Oh about," I checked my altitude, "30,000 ft in the air give or take a thousand."

"WHAT!" she screeched, " Why? You jump again didn't you."

"Yep," I answered truthfully.

"Why do you always jump," Shili demanded, "One day you're going to land on something stubborn as your are and I don't do bits and pieces."

I chuckled at my bond sister unintentional reference. "It's not funny," she said with worry, "this isn't the Citadel you can't swing around and there are no hover cars for you to catch or….."

"Shili," I cut in getting very serious, "Say it."

Shili didn't say anything for the longest time but I heard her sniffle. Though I don't know what the emotion behind that action was. I was about to hit some clouds so I repeated myself, "Say it."

I heard Shili sniffle,"Please…." her voice cracked barely a whisper. "Please what?" I asked.

"Please….SAVE US," Shili yelled out as an explosion echoed. I smirked behind my mask, "I will," I said as the clouds came closer and according to Ed's reading I'll lose the connection due to the interference from the radiation that were in the clouds.

"You promise," Shili asked hope laced in her words. "Promise," I said just as I hit the clouds losing my connection with Shili's group.

"Light you're sure this is going to work?" I asked my resident fox spirit.

'Why are you asking this now,' Light said incuriously as we broke the cloud cover. I didn't answer instead I flipped in the air and slapped a metal board, that I made out some scrape metal that I found, to my feet.

Meanwhile on the Normady…..

Miranda exited the elevator and made her way to her office. She had just recovered from Fox's illusion, 'I'm going to make him pay for that,' Miranda thought venomously. "You four," the genetically perfect woman pointed at four security guards that were eating in the mess, "Go to the armory and arm up then meet me in the hanger." The men move to follow the XO's orders just as she disappeared into her office.

"I AM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU FOX," Miranda screeched causing the security team to rush towards the elevator to get out of the line of fire.

Yep I found loads of scrap metal. "Fox," Shepard called from my com's.

"Hey Shep," I said surfing the wind, using jets of flames to stay on course. "I'm a little busy at the moment can you call back later?"

The sound of gunfire and explosions filled my ear before Shepard responded back, "What the hell are you thinking!?" he demanded.

"Umm holy shit its hot," I answered while I grinded the side of a building that was knocked over and was leaning against another ruin. "Sorry boss got to go," I said hurriedly as the Quarian base came into view.

I brought the board up and stuck my arms out releasing two streams of flames to slow me down. 'This is going to hurt,' I thought just before I hit the side of the wall.

And boy did it hurt. I swear I think I shrunk a few inches.

As the dust settled I looked around to see a few a Quarians with guns raised. I leaned against the remains of the wall and said, "And that ladies and gentlemen was without a single drop of rum." The reference was lost on the aliens, but I'm sure that the humans back on the ship got it.

A familiar red and tan suited Quarian came up to me, well somewhat familiar I recognize him from the games.

"Are you the reinforcements that Shepard talked about?" Kal'Reegar asked.

I was about to answer when another Quarian called out, "Sir how can we trust him or this Shepard for all we know there here to kill us." I turned my head and faced the speaking Quarian. The Quarian in question was wearing a dark green suit that was faded in a few places. "For all we know this," the Quarian pointed at me, "is an advance Geth."

I looked up at my HUD to make sure that Ed's outer speakers were on mute. Just then an explosion shook the entire building. "Look," I said losing my patience. Shili was in danger and this vagabond was holding me up, "I'm here to help, and it looks like to me that you need all the help that you can get at the moment."

"Why do you care?" the grass stained Quarian said snidely.

I let out a growl as I marched up to him and garbed his suit. With very little effort I hosted the little man into the air, "Now listen here you little Flet'shu,"I saw the his eyes widen, "my bond sister is in danger and your currently standing in my way." I flung him to the ground in front of the hole that was my entrance, "Do you really want to be in the way of somebody who could do that?" I asked.

The Quarian looked at the hole than back at me before shaking his head. "Good," I said before turning towards the rest of the group, "Anybody else got a problem?" I was met with shaken heads and lowered guns.

"So," Kal began looking at me with a calculating gaze, "your Shadow Fox," he stated.

"You know who I am?" I asked my curiosity peaked and I heard one of the younger soldiers tell an older one, "I told you he exists."

Kal pulled me in and whispered, "I owe you a lot for taking care for niece. She told me what happen." That one sentence brought up old memories and anger. I promise that one day that bitch will pay for what she did to Shili.

"What? Niece?" I inquired remembering that each family can only have one child in order to keep the population from growing.

"She's not technically but she the closest thing I got," Kal said with a shrug. "Come on I'll lead to where Shili'Quan and Tali'Zorah," He said selecting a few marines and ordering the rest to guard the basecamp at all cost. Once Shepard reached them they would point him in the right direction. Before Kal could leading us to the back one marines outside yelled out, "GETH DROPSHIP." Remembering what follows next I acting fast I pushed my way through the group blocking the door just as the drop ship dropped its payload hitting a pillar. The pillar would have landed on two on unfortunate Quarians that were protecting the door.

Fortunately for them I caught the pillar before it turn them into a Quarian pancake. After the two of them got out of there quickly I pushed the pillar off of me. It was still in the way, but at least nobody died. "Damn that was heavy," I said clapping my hands together to get the dust off.

"I owe you my life," one of the Quarian that I had saved said. I clapped him on the shoulder, "You don't owe me anything."

"Fox are you alright?" Shepard's voice came through the communicator.

"We're alright Shepard," I responded, "I and a group of Quarians, led by Kal, are going to go ahead and secure Tali's group for evac. The rest will wait here so watch you fire."

"Alright as soon as we clear the way we'll be right behind you," Shepard said over the sound of battle.

Kal spoke up, "Shepard there should be some explosives nearby that you can use," the marine leader began typing away on his Omni-tool, "I'm sending you the coordinates to you now."

There was a particularly loud explosion, "Zaeed target the pyro now, Fox….good luck."

I notice the hesitance, I looked over to Kal who leading our group to the door, "Don't worry Shepard we'll get her to safety," I promised. There is no way that I'm going to let my favorite character bite the bullet. I followed the group the door sealing behind me when I exited.

I moved so that I was next to Kal, "So how do you know about me?" I asked. The marine leader checked his rifle before continuing, "There are a few rumors flying about in the fleet. Mostly from the younger ones that come back from Citadel, but nobody, mostly the older ones, put any stock into it."

"Interesting," I muttered as we passed some down Geth. I saw something shimmer in the distance, but when I zoomed in, via my mask optics, I saw nothing. My eyes narrowed as I pulled out my two Predator pistols. Beside me I saw that Kal tighten his hold on his rifle.

"Yea," Kal said as I discreetly scanned the area while change the spectrum on my optics. "The younger folk have gone and started calling you Guardian of the People. Shili was actually the one who started calling you that."

"It's disgraceful if you ask me," an older Quarian in a faded blue suit. The suit might have been bright and vibrant once, but now it was worn and experience like the wearer himself. "Giving the title to an outsider, no offence," the old man said his voice rough like gravel.

"None taken," I whispered I quickly ran a scan of the area ahead of us. When the reading came back it showed that there were two Geth troopers, a dozen drones, and a Prime.

"Don't let Shili hear you," the Quarian that I had saved earlier said.

I stop walking silencing all conversations. "What is it?" I heard somebody ask.

"We got two troopers, a dozen drones, and a Prime around the corner," I told them causing groans and a few curses. I turned to Kal, "You got anything we could use?"

Kal went in to one of his many pockets on his suit and pulled two small discs out. "These are Arc grenades," he told me. "These are excellent for frying Geth and shields." Strange these aren't supposed to be available until sometime around ME3.

"Don't forget were not in a game anymore," Light told me, "Things are going to be different, and not bound by game developers."

'True,' I said taking the grenades and examining them thinking of a plan or two. Kal seemed to pick my train of thought.

"You have an idea?" he asked.

I looked at him and pocketed the grenades, "You could say that," I told him doing an inventory check.

"So," the gruff Quarian from before said.

"Okay here's what will do," I said crouching down to the ground and pulled out one of my knives. I drew the area where the enemies where at and the approximate location of the Geth. "You guys," I pointed at a few marines, "will throw Overloads at the Geth Troopers and Prime while the rest attack the drones. When the Overload group is done with their attack they will then turn your attention to the drones," I told them getting back up.

"That's it?" one of the marines said in disbelief looking at the drawing on the ground the back to me. "What about the Troopers and Prime? There are not going to go down by a simple Overload," the same marine cocked his gun, "Maybe you should leave this to us apparently you have no-"

I let lightening flow through the knife in my hands. "I'll take care of them," I told the shocked marines, "just keep those drones off my back and I'll take care of the rest."

"Is everybody clear about the plan?" I asked the rest of the group. When I received no questions or concerns Kal and I led the group forward.

Peaking around the corner I spotted the Geth that stood in our way. I saw the Prime standing tall flanked by the dozen or so drones and the two troopers. I pulled back and looked at Kal, "I'm surprise that you letting me lead your squad."

The squad leader looked at me with a serous stare, "If the things that Shili said about you are true then you are the only chance of my squad getting out of this alive."

I nodded, "I hope I can live up to that expiation then," I said looking around the corner to see the Prime point at the Geth Troopers and said something in their tongue. It seemed that it was telling them where to go, because the Troopers began moving to some cover. "Now!" I yelled out running out in the opening.

The Quarians that I had hiding behind some pillar nearby popped out threw their Overloads while the rest began picking off the drones. The ones that fired the Overloads switched their aim to the drones helping the rest of the squad. 'Like clockwork,' I thought as I ran straight to the Prime and the Troopers who were recovering from the Overloads. The Troopers soon had a knife in their heads and were dead before they hit the ground. The Prime wasn't going to go down that easily as it had already recovered and began firing its Spitfire.

"Fuck me," I grunted as I dove behind cover but not before throwing a knife aimed of its head. When I looked over I saw that I had missed and hit the shoulder instead. What's worse is that the knife didn't even penetrate that deeply into the Prime's armor. "AH…Fuck me sideways," I said as I ducked back behind cover to dodge the Prime's miniature siege cannon.

"Fox are you alright?" Kal asked over the communicator.

"Yes," I said breathing heavily, "That Prime is tougher than I thought."

"Hold on we'll cover you," Kal said

"No, I'll handle it just keep you guys back," I snapped back not wanting to put the others in danger.

Kal chuckled, "Shili told me about this side of you." There was a silence before the air came alive with gun fire and rockets. "Don't worry about us were tougher than we look," Kal said. The Prime let out a mechanical roar before turning his attention to the Quarians that were firing at it. I heard the Spitfire spooled up before super-heated slugs were spat out, and began raining down on the Quarian squad.

As Prime continued to fire on the Kal's squad I began thinking up a plan to put a stop to the mechanical beast.

"Kal on my mark stop your firing and leave the rest to me," I spoke into my built in mike while pulling out special made kunai. Unlike the other kunai in my arsenal, these are made up of explosive material and when they are heated to extreme temperatures they explode.

I waited until the Prime had passed me and I had a clear shot. "NOW," I yelled out throwing the E-Kunai followed by a bolt of lightning. The knife found its mark in the back of the Prime's right knee. The throwing weapon exploded when the bolt struck it.

The power of the explosion wasn't enough to blow the leg off, but the Prime did stagger and went down to its knee. I used that to my advantage by bum rushing the giant Geth platform with two more kunai in one hand each. Jumping in the air I slammed the two knives into each side of the mechanical beast's neck, and pumped it full of my lightening power.

The Prime sputtered and twitched violently as its systems began overloading. Deciding that I had done enough to put it out of commission I kicked off with my feet, and not a moment too soon as the Prime exploded spreading parts, lubricant, and oil everywhere. Expecting my knives, or what was left of them, I decided to toss them to the side as they were beyond repair.

"We need to get moving," I said taking off towards Shili's group. Half way I checked behind me to make sure that Kal and the rest of the marines were still with me. Surprisingly they had managed to catch up to me. Finally we reached the room that I recognized as the one before we meet Kal'Reegar in the game. Going to the controls and took a deep breath as I unlocked the doors leading to the open area ahead of us.

I turned my head towards Reegar and asked him, "You ready?"

He didn't say anything just pulled out his rocket launcher and cocked it, "Let's go kick some ass."

I wanted it to be longer but I thought you guys have waited long enough.

Also sorry for grammar and things like that, I mange to get a lot of the mistakes but for some reason when I move the chapters to here I lose those corrections or different ones appear. Lot of times I have to rush to post these chapters because I can lose the internet at any given moment and won't have it for days. Anyway don't forget to drop a review on your way out.

Peace.
