I am so so sorry about the long delay. You see I started a new job that literally takes all of my time and add the fact that I had to go to an Indian wedding (which is about a week long process). So I have been very busy and hopefully there won't this long of a delay for my next chapters although they will be long.

I looked out from the pillar that I was using for cover to scan the battlefield quickly. Ed already began tagging the Geth units in the area. "Not to many," I muttered pulling back into cover casting my glance to Kal.

"Yea right now," the marine said pulling out a missile launcher, "But they'll keep sending more." As to prove his point a few more Geth dropped in and began moving towards the bunker that Tali and her group were at.

I hastily made a battle plan knowing that we didn't have too much time. We have to keep those things occupied long enough to move up and secure the science team. Hopefully Shepard isn't too far behind. "Alright," I said turning to Kal, "place your best shooters up front."

"Then what," Reegar said motion a few Quarians to cover, a few of them pulled out sniper rifles and the rest shouldered their DMRs.

"Fall back and grab the rest of your team," I said while sealing my mask, "Once we secured Tali we need to evac ASAP." I pulled out one of my staffs and fully extended it, "Give me cover fire," I ordered and without giving anybody a chance to finished I ran forward and using a nearby block that the Quarian's squad was using for cover, I leapt into the battle felid.

'This is where the fun begins,' Light said with the voice she only uses when there is a good fight to be had.

When I landed I slammed my staff on the ground sending out an electric shockwave frying the closet Geth while sending the rest into the air making them perfect targets for the sharpshooters. I spun my staff around, "COME AND GET SOME!" I roared out my voice distorted by my mask. Not the brightest idea considering that every Geth in the area are now pointing their pulse rifles at me.

Uh….shit.

I duck behind the closest cover as the Geth opened fired. Looking over to the Quarians I saw that they were continuing taking pot shots at the Geth.

'So what's the plan?' Light asked, 'you do have a plan right?'

'Um…yea.' I said nervously collapsing my staff putting it away and pulled out one of the Predator pistol along with a EMP grenade.

'You didn't plan that far ahead did you,' Light said with a sigh, 'What I'm going to do with you?'

'Aww come on Light,' I said as I pulled out of cover firing into an oncoming Geth and throwing an EMP grenade at a group of Geth that were close together. 'You know you wouldn't have it any other way.'

Light chuckled before replying, 'Your right I wouldn't. Alright LET'S DO THIS!'

I tossed two more EMP grenades at random behind me. Standing up I ran right into a Geth Hunter. "Shit," I cursed dodging to the right to avoid a blast from its plasma shotgun. I stabbed it with my super-heated quarterstaff cutting it to the core, cooking the insides so it was nice and crispy.

'Three troopers on the left side and watch out for that sniper on right side,' Light called out. I put away my staff and pulled out a throwing star. I threw it at the sniper just as it fired one shot which pierced my right arm. "Argh," I cried out in pain. I can't stop, once I do that it over, I have to keep going. I brought out my grappling hook and augmented them with my lightening abilities causing it to spark and crackle. I whipped my right arm ignoring the pain, and cut the troopers on my left. 'Light take care of this wound,' I ordered recalling my hook as my gunshot wound began to heal.

Suddenly a blunt force broadsided my right side sending me into the air, crashing into one of the pillars. "Damn maybe I need to add some armor," I muttered hissing in pain as I got up. I saw another Hunter dropping its cloak and appearing in front of me. I jumped and tore the gun away from it and punched its side.

"SON OF BISKET EATEN MONKEY THAT HURTS LIKE A BITCH!" I yelled out while the Hunter sputtered in its native tongue as it bitch slapped me across the field. A loud thud echoed as I landed. I let a growl of anger as I pulled both of my pistols out. Standing back up I raised my guns, "FUCK YOU!" I snarled as I let loose a hail of gun fire into the Hunter quickly draining its shields and ending its life.

"Fox," Shepard's voice echoed from my communicator, "Are you alright?" I popped the spent thermal clips and cracked my neck.

"Yea," I answered putting the guns away, "I just slapped by a Hunter that didn't like Miranda's hourly rates," I looked around to see where I was at. "How far out are you?" I asked noticing a key detail that was missing. 'Hang on,' I thought, 'This is where the Colossus is supposed to be.'

"We're about to enter the Quarian HQ," he said just as there was a loud explosion in the back ground.

'Where is that Colossus at,'I thought looking around before I heard something land right behind me.

-BOOM -

-CLANK-

-CLANK-

-CLANK-

-CLANK-

-WHIRRLE-

-Geth SPEAK-

Mother….Fucker

Shepard made his way to the entrance to the complex that the Quarian's where using as the home-based. Shepard handed the demolition pack to Zaeed for him to place on the column that was blocking their way. Reaching his hand up Jake tapped the side of his helmet to open communications with Shadow Fox.

"Fox, he called out, "Are you alright."

Fox shallow breathing could be heard through the comms, "Yea," he answered, "I just got slapped by a Hunter that didn't like Miranda's hourly rates." Fox let out a chuckle while Shepard let out a sigh, 'I need to figure out a way to get these two to work together,' he thought.

"How far out are you?" Fox asked.

Shepard turned to see Zaeed placing the last of the charges on the column. He was about to answer when he heard something.

"Hang on this is where the Colossus is supposed to be,"Fox said causing the blood in the Specter to freeze.

'What?!' Shepard thought looking at Garrus who just as confused.

Zaeed and Kasmui didn't appear to hear anything because they just walked back to the duo. The commander made a mental note to have a long conversation with a certain hero when they got back to the Normandy.

Suddenly there was a loud boom followed by something unfolding.

"Mother….fucker," they heard Shadow Fox say before there was an echo of an explosion.

"MOTHER FUCKER!" Fox yelled out which came after gunfire.

Shepard snapped back to combat mode, "Fox what's wrong?" he asked.

"I'll tell you what's wrong," Fox said as he grunted through the mic. "A fucking Colossus made a fucking house call. Asshole nearly landed on me." A loud boom came through the communicator followed quickly by Fox saying, "OH HELL NAW you did not just shoot that blue shit at me!" There was a quick retort of gunfire, "Could use some assistant here!"

Shepard motion to Zaeed to blow the charges, "Hang on Fox we're on our way."

-BOOM-

"Alright let's move people."

"Ooohh I got an idea," Fox said like a child before the connection cut. Garrus spoke up his uncertainty. "That didn't sound good Shepard," he said popping in a fresh heat sink. Shepard couldn't agree more.

"EEEEHHHAAAWWW!" Fox whooped, "HI-HO SILVER!"

"Told you."

Shepard let out a groan as his team entered the HQ.

"What the hell is going on out there?" Tali'Zorah said out loud as a muffled explosion went off outside.

A Quarian dressed in tan/blue suit spoke up, "I don't know," the science team member looked at his omni-tool before continuing. "But it sounds like Reegar is giving them a hard time." Another loud boom shook the building, "Or vice versa," a blue and green suited marine commented.

"Cut the chatter," Tali said going to the main console. With a clatter of buttons Tali establish a connection to the forward HQ. "This is Tali'Zorah calling to base com in base camp," Static answered as she fought down the bitter feeling that was building in her stomach. 'Come on somebody pick up.'

She was about to call again when a familiar voice came through, "This is Kal'Reegar how are things over there?" The engineer let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank the Ancestors you're alright," she said as a small holographic screen of the marine in question appeared from the console.

"It's going to take more than a few Geth to take me down," Kal said crossing his arms. The bunker shook as another explosion ripped through air, nearly knocking the occupants to the ground. "What's going on out there?" Tali asked righting herself up.

"Your old Commander stopped by," Kal answered with a slight humored tone. "Said something about a mission for you."

Tali smirked, "So that's him outside," she said knowing her old commander's style. 'Same old Shepard.'

"Actually Tali," Shepard said stepping into the screen's range, "That's not me this time."

The engineer as taken back, "Shepard!?" she said as the human specter stepped beside Kal who was ordering the rest of the team to move to the evac area. "Yea," Shepard said running a hand through his hair nervously, "That's one of my newest ground team members Shadow Fox."

"Wait did you say Shadow Fox?" a marine said. Shepard nodded, "Reegar sir," the soldier said stepping forwards showing a familiar blue and green suited Quarian. "Permission to assist."

Reegar just shook his, "Denied," he said, "Shili you have to protect Tali and the data at all cost." Shili balled her fist up in anger, her bond brother was out there fighting and she couldn't help at all. This wasn't the like the Citadel

"But sir-"

"No buts Shili," Kal snapped, "we have our orders."

"I'm going out there," Tali said readying her shotgun looking at Shili then to Reegar and Shepard. "So if your objective is to protect me or recruit me you'll have to come with me right?" she finished with a smirk behind her helmet.

Shepard let out a chuckle before he told his team to move out while Kal just sighed and followed Shepard's team with the rest of the survivors. Tali turned around and pointed at two marines, "You two stay here and protect the rest of the scientist and that data," she ordered as the group made their way to the door.

"It'll be nice to see Fox again," Shili said aloud with a small smile behind her mask. One of the marines spoke up, "I thought you made him up honestly," he quipped.

"What about the others who came back from their Pilgrimage from the Citadel?" Shili retorted.

"So it's true that you worked for him?" Tali asked as she tried to unlock the door, "Shadow Fox I mean." Shili nodded her head vigorously, "Oh yea I helped with coordination and technical things. In turn he helped me with my Pilgrimage, its thanks to him that we have the omni blades."

Tali contacted Shepard, "We're ready when you are," she said everybody brought their guns up.

"Uh yea we're ready," he said with a little hesitation before a voice yelled out echoing through the wall and the communicators. "I'm going to –BAM- take your head –BAM- and mount it on my wall BAM-!"

"Yep that him alright," Shili said with chuckle. "Right," Tali said her omni-tool and opening it up to open the door, "I'm opening the door now, get ready."

The doors opened with shudder and when they fully opened a black blur shout through. "FOX!" Shili yelled rushing to the slumped form. Tali looked to see a men dress in black stand up with the help of the small Quarian.

"Hey Shili has it going," the man quipped his voice was shaky and distorted, "Love to stay and chat and stuff, But I got a giant Geth to kill."

Just as the words left his mouth a marine yelled out, "COLOSSUS!"

Timed slowed as the Armature class brought its siege cannon up to bare at the group. Tali closed her eyes and looked down as the cannon charge knowing it was the end. All around her the marines peppered the massive Geth with accelerated rounds, but it was a hopeless gesture. They might as well throw rocks at it.

Suddenly Tali heard something whistle past her head followed by a few explosions. Looking up she saw the Colossus stumbled back its rear legs blown up at the joint.

The next thing that the future Normandy crew member heard was…the chirping of birds?

Tali turned around to see Fox standing up hold a staff in his hands like a lance, which was crackling with lightening as it spun around at speeds she could only dream of. The staff spun faster as a blue-green aura began forming around the tip. The aura began morphing into a… "Drill?!" Shili said cocking her head to the side in confusion despite the life or death situation that was around her. The 'drill' was engulfed in green fire, "GIGA!" Fox began as he shot some kind of wire out of his free arm, "DRILL!" he said rolling the words off his tongue as he launched forward as the Colossus tried to get back up.

"BREAKER!" Fox yelled out as the drill struck. With a battle cry Fox pierced through the giant Geth platform leaving behind a large hole. Fox walks around to the front of the collapsing Geth his staff put away.

He then strikes a heroic pose by spreading his legs apart and his right hand pointing the air, "No matter what stands in my way," the superhero says, "I'll drill through it to pierce the HEAVENS! That's how team Shepard rolls."

The Quarians were awe struck at the scene that they are witnessing, sans Shili who just rested a hand on her shaking head. She was used to this behavior from her time on the Citadel.

Tali was the first to come out of her shock state, "Well thank you, she said stepping forward as Fox's mask splits down the middle startling her a bit. She gazed into the dark abyss of Fox's hood and was instantly mesmerized by the ice blue eyes. 'His eyes are so beautiful,' she thought before she spotted something strange. 'Wait are his pupils slits?'

Fox drops his pose and begins to sway dangerously, "And now if you excuse me I'm going to Sandman land," he says before promptly collapses to the ground.

"Oh Keelah," Tali gasp as she reaches out and catches him. Easing him down to the ground she pulls out her omni-tool and readied some medi-gel. "What happen?" Shepard asked as him and the ground team made their way to the group of Quarians, "I heard Fox yelling and…. Holy SHIT!" he said looking at the remains of the Colossus.

Shili moved towards Tali who was about to apply an application of miracle cream, "Fox is alright," she said stopping the worried engineer from wasting an application of medi-gel. "He just spent a lot of energy using his powers," the Quarian shrugged her shoulders, "Just give him some food and a little rest and he'll be up and about causing chaos once again."

"And you know this how?" Garrus said stepping forward and examine the marine. 'She has very supportive hips,' he thought before he snapped at himself for getting distracted. Shili looked at the ex-vigilante, "Because Archangel I used to work for him," she said with a smirk.

"Archangel?" Tali said with a slight humorous tone.

"Look we should get Fox back to the Normandy, you know before more Geth show up," Garrus grumbled clearly didn't like to be reminded of his alter ego.

"EDI we need evac now," Shepard said into his communicator.

"The Kodiak is on its way Commander."

"Thank you EDI," the Specter said as Kal ordered some of his troops to go to their ship and get in the air. The plan was that rest of the marines would ride with Shepard's team to the Normandy where they would jump to their ship and make their way to the Fleet.

But the AI was not finished, "Also Commander," she said.

"Yes EDI," he said as the drop ship came down from the sky and landed next to them.

"Operative Lawson is waiting for you in the hanger along with four others. It would seem that they have orders to capture Mr. Fox"

"What?!" Shepard hissed as the everyone boarded the shuttle. He let out a curse as he too got on to the ship, "Thanks EDI."

The Kodiak's door shut and took off putting as much distance as it could between the planet and the organics. "What's the problem Shepard," Garrus said hanging on the overhead rail as the shuttle shook. The human male let out a tired sigh as he removed his Recon Hood, "It would seem that The Illusive Man has decided that Fox is more useful as an experiment than part of the mission and has given orders to Miranda to capture him," Shepard explained.

"But you're not going to let her them are you?" Tali noticing Shili and a few other marines tighten their hold on their weapon of choice, although Shili seem to tense at the mention of Miranda's name. The surviving members of the Quarian science team owe their lives to Shadow Fox. That combined with their hatred for Cerberus they are more than willing to fight for the odd human.

"Bitch can try," a raspy voice said by Tali. Said Quarian turned her head to see Shadow Fox shaking as he got up only to stumble forward. Tali rushed up and caught Fox with one of her hands landing on his chest. 'Wow he's what the human term, ripped? Yes that's what Ash used to described Shepard one time,' Tali thought as her hand absentmindedly ran down the hero's chest, 'Very defined.' The engineers her face heated up as she caught herself, 'Keelah what is wrong with me he's hurt and I'm checking him out. Besides I'm a Quarian it would never work.' She thought sadly as she set him back in his seat.

"Don't worry," Shepard said inwardly smirking at Tali for 'catching' Fox and helped him up. "I won't hand over Fox to Cerberus," he said causing everybody to relax a little. "Good," Fox said his tiredness leaking through, "Because I'm too damn tried to deal with Ice Queen." With that he fell back to sleep and, thanks to small shudder from the ship, his head landed on Tali's shoulders. The Quarian froze not knowing whether to Fox's head or leave it.

"Damn Bosh'tet," Shili cursed lightly shaking her head, "Always pushing yourself to your limits doing stupid shit for people you hardly know." The Quarians except Tali flinched at the use of the human curs word.

Shepard looks over to Shili, "I'm guessing that this isn't the first time that he's pulled a stunt like this?" he asked to which Shili let out a bark of laughter. "Are you kidding me?" she said incredulously in a fit of laughter, "I lost count of how many times I had to patch him up because he pulled something like this got hurt in the process."

Garrus leaned forward, "So he jumps off of ships from orbit on a regular base then?" he said with an amused smirk on his face.

"No," Shili said with a shrug, "Usually it's through traffic, jumping from car to car swinging around."

Garrus turns his head towards Shepard, "You always seem to recruit the oddest people Shepard."

"Like you," Shepard retorted smirking getting a laugh out of the occupants of the shuttle.

"Hey," Garrus said in mock anger, "You need someone with style."

"Commander ETA to the Normandy two minutes," the pilot said through the ships speakers.

Just as the pilot announced the Kodiak landed in the Normandy's cargo bay two minutes later. Shepard took a deep breath preparing himself mentally for the upcoming drama.

"Come on Shepard," Garrus said standing next to him, "It won't be that bad…maybe."

"Knowing his record," Tali said as she and Shili helped Fox up before slinging his arms over their shoulders, "Something will explode."

Garrus tapped his chin, "Good point."

"Screw you guys!"

Well there you go again I'm very sorry for the long wait I'll try not to do it again, but I make no promises.
