Kamen Rider Chaldea

Chapter 01 : Another Dream?

Author's Note : Hey there, this here is just a little idea that comes knocking on my brain when I was watching Saber (The Kamen Rider, not the Servant) a while back. Just like my other fic, it's about an FGO character's adventure on another world. This time it's about our boi Gudao on a world of Quirks with a henshin belt on his hand.

Why him you ask? Why not Shirou or Deku? Well no real reason. I just wanted to use him. You either like him or not. I belong to the former. He's kinda underrated IMO. Sure, he's not much during Part 1, only rarely showing any semblance of a personality. During an event, you can piece out his hobbies, like his love for Mechas and Magical Girls on Mecha Elly and Prisma Illya event respectively. (SPOLER BTW) But on Part 2 he really grew on me, showing the desperate struggle of an average joe coping with the huge responsibilty of ending the lives of millions. He hesitates, he's uncertain if what he is doing is the right thing or not, unlike on Part 1, where it's clearly a traditional 'save the world' plot.

As for the setting. I just wanted to make a story about a Quirkless Hero in the world of My Hero Academia, a concept that I have always liked. And of course, using a Rider Belt does not count as having a Quirk, it's no different than those support item used by the Heroes and Villains.

I wasted enough of your precious time already, let's get on with it.

Disclaimer : I (obviously) don't own the Kamen Rider series, the Fate series, and My Hero Academia. They belong to their respective owners.

Ritsuka Fujimaru opened his eyes, still wearing his white Chaldea uniform. The first thing he noticed is that this isn't his room. Once again he found himself on a featureless black void. He didn't feel intimidated or anything, rather, he only sighed in exasperation. Putting his hand on his temple to rub it. 'What is it this time? Another one of my Servants' dream? My soul getting dragged somewhere else once again? A virtual world where if I dies in it I dies in real life?'

The boy had experienced so much crazy stuff within the last few years, including most of his guesses. And of course, the Incineration of Humanity. He had seen so much that he had gotten desensitized to most of them by now. He tried to not show any weakness, because he had already learned that keeping a calm mind at all times is crucial for survival.

His cerulean eyes darted around looking for something. Either the culprit or a way out, whichever comes first. He didn't have to look for long because suddenly a gigantic distortion appeared in front of him, looking very much like a portal. From it walked a sharply dressed young man in a black suit. Wrapped in his neck is what looks like a pink old fashioned camera. Ritsuka felt familiar with this man somehow, but he's not quite sure why. The man's sharp eyes locked on to Ritsuka, as if the man is sizing him up.

"So, you're humanity's last Master..."

Through his interaction with the colorful cast of Chaldea's Servant, Ritsuka knew that the first step to befriend someone is with a simple introduction. "Ah, I'm Fujimaru Ritsuka, nice to meet you. Were you the one who summoned me here?" He asked, hoping that the mysterious man is an ally. He wasn't dressed like a Servant, but Ritsuka could feel that this man is not one to be messed with.

"You're eerily okay with this, any reason why?" The man asked with raised eyebrows, a little surprised that the plain looking boy is taking this well enough. Too well, in fact.

Ritsuka lets out a small chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head. "Well, if you've seen half the stuff that I have seen, this would be just another tuesday for you."

"Is that so? Whatever, you can call me Kadoya Tsukasa, I'm also known as Kamen Rider Decade. The Destroyer of Worlds." He calmly stated, trying to get a reaction out of the boy. His hand on his camera just in case he got an amusing reaction out of the boy.

"Kamen... Rider..." The boy muttered the word with a sense of familiarity. But that's not right, Tsukasa never heard about any active Rider in this world before, so there's no way the boy would...

The boy jumped with joy in his eyes. He ran and shook the man's hand. "I can't believe this, the real Kadoya Tsukasa in the flesh! I didn't recognize you since you look older! Are you a Heroic Spirit, Tsukasa-san? Let me guess, your class is Rider." As those words left his mouth, he lets out a hearty laugh, satisfied with his own joke.

Tsukasa raised his eyebrows at this, out of the many reaction he expected, this one wasn't one of them. "You're just gonna gloss over that 'Destroyer of Worlds' title?"

Stopping his laugh, the boy shook his head. A smile on his lips. "Please, you always say that, yet you ended up saving those worlds in the end. You're a big softie on the inside."

"How... do you... know about that?"

"I watched the show. It's been years since I did, but I still remembers it clearly."

"...The show?" Tsukasa paused for a moment, before he regained his composure. "I see, I got the gist of it now, so this is 'that' kind of world huh? Where we Kamen Riders exist only as a TV Show."

"Correct, wow, you're not even surprised. As expected of the strongest Kamen Rider. Nothing fazes you anymore huh?"

"Strongest? While I'm flattered that you think that, I'm still far away from that title." He straightened his suit with a cough. "Ahem, but I'm on the top 5 for sure." He said confidently.

"So there's someone stronger now? I've watched most of the shows and movies and didn't think any of them surpassed you. That Violent Emotion form was amazing! You beat every single Riders that came before you and turned them into cards with it!"

"...When exactly was the last time you watched them?"

"About 2 years ago, before this whole incineration incident. The one airing was Ghost. Funny how I've personally met most of the Heroic Spirit from that show now..."

"Your info is outdated by now. Ghost got several successors now. Among them is a doctor, a genius scientist... and a king." He spat the last word bitterly.

"For real? Their job sure have been getting varied lately. What's next? A comedian? A novelist?"

"...That comedian bit is a little amusing, maybe I'll tell that young king about it later." Tsukasa muttered.

"Did you say something, Tsukasa-san?" Tsukasa simply shook his head. "Anyway, it sucks that I couldn't see any of those new Riders. I can't watch any new series, since, you know, everyone that made them went 'poof' during the last few years. It's like every shows that I liked were put on hiatus! What a shame..."

Tsukasa coughed to get the boy's attention back. "Anyway, let's get back on track. I've summoned you here to request for your help."

"My help? Does this involve a Grail or any war related to said Grail?" The boy guessed.

"Pretty sure that'd be a no. But this task will be just as important."

"Okay, sure. What is it?" Ritsuka asked, a little curious with what a Kamen Rider would want from him.

"See, there's this world out here. Where most of the population were born with super powers, known as a Quirk. In that world, being a Hero is an actual job, and the Villains are the law breakers that is handled by those Heroes."

"First time hearing that kind of world, neat."

"There's a powerful villain lurking in the shadow, pulling the strings and biding his time to disrupt the hard earned peace. He and his organization are plotting something big. I want you to go out there and stop him."

"Got it, but this seems like something that you can handle by yourself, Tsukasa-san."

"I would, but currently I got my hands full dealing with a certain Demon King of Time. So you're the only one left that I could send there."

"Demon King of Time? Sounds tough, any time based power is automatically overpowered after all."

"If only you knew..."

"So will I be bringing my own Servants? Or will there be any Masterless Servants already summoned there?

"No, you will be doing this alone."

"Solo? Umm... Tsukasa-san, I'm happy that you think I'm competent enough to take on this mission. But I fear that you're overestimating my combat prowess there. I might be trained by several Servants already, but fighting super powered humans might be a tad bit much for me. Maybe I could handle it if it's one on one, but a whole organization alone? Might be pushing my luck a bit there."

"Well I can't hand you out your own super power. Besides, people without powers are being discriminated there. the public finding out that a powerless human like you saving them might improve their situation." Tsukasa saw that the boy narrowed his eyes hearing that, Tsukasa knew that someone like him wouldn't allow something like that to continue. Tsukasa decided to give him a little more push. "If you're unwilling to do this then that's fine. I'll just do it later, or maybe I should just destroy that whole world to save me a lot of time. What do you think? Think you're up for this?"

Ritsuka knew that was just a bluff, so he calmly weighted his option, without any allies this would be a downhill fight. But he's not giving up now. People needed his help, and as long as he can reach them. He would always offer his aid.

"...Of course. This would be a good learning experience. I have to show my teachers and mentors what I have learned under their tutelage!" He bowed his head at Tsukasa. "Please send me there, Tsukasa-san."

The man was silent, carefully eyeing the boy. Before he smirked and gave a slow clap for the boy's courage "As expected of the one who restored the Human Order. You're not one to back down from a challenge, I like that. You're definitely a Rider material."

"Rider... Material?"

Tsukasa opened his palm, a bright light engulfed it, revealing something that resembles a white colored buckle. There's a black engraving resembling a stylized C on the middle front of it. The hollow part of the C is big enough to hold something inside it.

"That's... The symbol of Chaldea!"

"Correct, this here is the Chaldriver. I asked my scientist friend to help me make this. We made it specifically for you."

"A Driver! So that means I-"

"-Will become a Kamen Rider." Tsukasa finished for him. He handed the Driver to the boy. Who clutched it on his chest.

"Me? A Rider? But I..."

"You've already proven that you got what it takes to be a Kamen Rider. A clear mind that yearns for justice, a kind heart that lets you connect with anyone, and the will to never give up under extreme odds. Plus, you've managed to acquire tons of experience witnessing and overcoming those impossible odd. You are now a Kamen Rider, Fujimaru Ritsuka, the last Master of Chaldea."

Ritsuka rubbed his eyes and slapped himself once, making sure this is not a simple dream. "...Thank you, Tsukasa-san. I always imagined myself as a Rider watching those shows as I grow up, but I never thought it would come true one day..."

"This isn't exactly a good thing you know? Now you have to get in close and personal against your enemies. No one will be there to do the fighting for you this time."

"Even so, those people needed saving, and if you say that I'm the only one left to help, then there's no way I would refuse. I understand that I can't always save everyone, but that won't stop me from trying! I will save as many as I can!"

Tsukasa nodded, satisfied with the boy's answer. "It's good to know that you're not as naive as I thought." As he spoke the words. He gestured his hand behind himself, opening another dimensional portal. "There, using this you can cross to that world. When you're done I'll send you back a few seconds after I nabbed you from your room."

Ritsuka's eyes widened, realizing how irresponsible of him to leave Chaldea unattended. "Ah, that's really convenient. That'll save me from missing out anything important back home." He walked a few steps, now standing just a few feet from the portal. He took a deep breath, preparing himself for yet another journey on an unknown land.

"Before you go, I have to ask. What will be your Rider name?"

"Easy, Kamen Rider Chaldea. This thing is the Chaldriver right? It only makes sense that I match it up. It even got Chaldea's symbol right there! As the proud representative of Chaldea, I will held my head high bearing that name!"

The man lets out a small chuckle. "A name as simple as you, can't say that I like it. But I have to admit, it kinda suits you in a way."

Ritsuka held his hand above his head, as if tipping an invisible hat. "Just paying homage to my predecessors."

Tsukasa smirked at the comment. "Oh, right. Take this too. You can't transform without it." Tsukasa threw what appears to be a holster. Ritsuka caught it and immediately opened it. Finding a dozen or so cards inside.

"Blank cards?"

"Those are Saint Graph Cards, or SG Cards if you prefers. Focus real hard on it and you could imprint the image of your Servants there."

Ritsuka held up a card and closed his eyes.

While he holds all of his Servants close to his heart. None were as close as his cute Kouhai, Mash Kyrielight. His first Servant, and more importantly, his first friend on Chaldea. He thought about all the time they spent together, whether if its a life or death situation on a Singularity, or just a relaxing time with everyone back on Chaldea cafeteria, celebrating yet another wacky event caused by his equally wacky Servants.

Her fuchsia hair, her amethyst eyes, her bright smile, and of course, everytime she called him Senpai. All flashed throughout his mind. That iconic shield that she wields, it may have been Galahad's Noble Phantasm. But for Ritsuka, the one who protected him, the one who always got his back, the one who stopped him from trembling, it always have been Mash, his precious Kouhai.

He and Mash were inseparable. Always hanging out together, even when off duty. if Mash cannot accompany him this time, he wanted something to remind him of her. Fighting by her side have always calmed him down even in the face of danger, that feeling of safety would help him face this next challenge.

'Mash, will you lend me your strength?' He asked as he imagined himself standing before her. What he didn't expect was to hear an answer.

"Yes, Senpai. Let's fight together once more. Your faithful Kouhai, Mash Kyrielight will protect you!"

He quickly opened his eyes and looked around him. Trying to find the source of the voice.

"What's wrong?" Tsukasa asked.

"No, I thought I heard..." Before Ritsuka could finish he widened his eyes. The SG card on his hand were no longer blank. On it is an image of Mash, smiling with her hand behind her hip. Her trusty shield stood right beside her. On the lower side of the card is a symbol of a shield, with the word 'Shielder' right below it. Mash's full name, Mash Kyrielight were also inscripted below the symbol.

"Mash... Thank you..." He clutched the card close to his heart. He noticed that the Heroic Spirit recorded on this card is indeed Mash, not Galahad. But Mash, the girl who deserved a normal life, but was given no choice on the matter. He felt proud, that her deed was great enough to be recognized by the world as a Heroic Spirit separate from Galahad.

Tsukasa aimed his camera at the boy and pressed the shutter. "With this, the preparations are complete. Now go, and prove that a normal human like you can become a Hero too."

"Right, I'll be going now, Tsukasa-san. Good luck with that Demon King." Ritsuka waved without looking back. He took his first step into a new frontier, disappearing into the dimensional portal.

Tsukasa only scoffed at that. "Worry about yourself, you carefree idiot." Tsukasa's word failed to reach the boy, as he was no longer in this empty space.

"Guess he can't hear me now... Poor kid, even if he came back from that place, a new journey awaits him back home." As he said the word, the portal in front of him closed by itself.

"The Savior of Humanity, Fujimaru Ritsuka. Throughout your journeys to the Seven Singularities, what exactly did you see with those eyes?"

The picture that Tsukasa took were instantly developed from his camera. He took it out and held it in his hand. However, the image on the picture is not what Tsukasa just took. On it is an image of a snowfield, with Ritsuka in a black arctic uniform standing on one end. Standing against Ritsuka on the opposite end is a silver-haired man with a set of tired looking eyes, the man is wearing a gray fur trimmed jacket with black undershirt. Both of them raised their right hands up, revealing their respective Command Spells. On the background is a blurry image of what appears to be a gigantic rock humanoid facing off against an equally gigantic mammoth.

Tsukasa stared at the picture, already knowing what it means. "Looks like I'll be sharing the moniker 'Destroyer of Worlds' with him soon enough. Let's just hope that he had strengthened his resolve when the time comes. I'll be looking forward to meeting you again, Last Master of Humanity." Another dimensional portal opened in front of him.

"That is... If I could survive my own ordeal first. That little 'king' better sort his problem out without me around or I swear I'll..."

He sighed, for his journey might be coming to an end soon, fittingly after a decade since he started it. Tsukasa stood there, as the dimensional portal moved by itself toward him, engulfing him like a wave of mini tsunami.

"I'll be passing through once again..."

There, just the short prologue for now. Not much HeroAca yet. That's for the next chapter.

I know that I can't please everyone with the Servants on those SG cards, as everyone have different favorite Servants. So for now I'll just use the safe choice : dear ol' Mashu! Can't go wrong with that. Most of the SG cards I wanted to use will be based on my own favorites, so apologize in advance if you don't like my choices. And yes, I know Class Card is already a thing on Fate, just wanted my own spin on it. SG cards are basically those Cards you see everytime you view your Servant's Profile on FGO.

I guess for now I'm still stuck with this weird writing style where most of the story is told through dialogues, with small description here or there. I write for fun, but it still bothers me. Oh well, maybe one day I'll fix it if I got better.

Don't worry about my other fic, I'm still continuing it. I just wanted to try making this one out first.

I'll see you next time.
