Kamen Rider Chaldea
Chapter 02 : Crossing Path
Author's Note : Hello, hello! On this chapter we finally started the crossover properly. Hooray! Ah, but don't expect anything fancy from me ya hear? I'm still a novice writer after all.

"Phew..." A boy in a green sweatshirt wiped his sweat. Before him is a mountain of trash, which he intends to clean out. Why you ask? For his training to become a proper vessel for One for All, a powerful Quirk that could be transferred from one person to another.
You see, this boy is Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without a Quirk, yet he still dream of becoming a Hero one day. People always ridiculed him for that dream, especially his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou, better known as Kacchan to Izuku. Thanks to that, even though he were granted this chance to receive his own Quirk, deep inside Izuku still felt unworthy.
"Midoriya my boy. It's getting pretty late, you should head home before your parents got worried. Rest up and prepare for tomorrow." A skinny man with spiky blonde hair said to the boy.
"Yes, All Might. Thank you for your time for today!" Izuku said with a bow. The person standing before him is All Might. The Number 1 Hero and Symbol of Peace. He chose Izuku as his successor to inherit One for All after witnessing the boy's courage to jump into danger to save his childhood friend Bakugou, even without a Quirk.
"Well then, see you tomorrow my boy!" The skeletal man's physique gradually became larger and muscular. His voice becoming deeper as well. This muscular form is the one he used when he's on duty. He can only maintains it for a few hours a day because of a fatal injury on his stomach caused by a certain Villain.
He gave a thumbs up and flashed his iconic smile at the boy before he jumped up ahead, he landed on a building quite some distance from the beach, before he repeated the process again and again. Effectively leaving the area.
"I better get going as well, wouldn't want to worry mom." Izuku muttered to himself. He was about to leave before he heard a strange sound from behind one of the mountain of trash.
*CRASH!*
The loud sound startled Midoriya, he wanted to leave immediately, but before his body could do that he stopped himself. 'No! You wanted to become a Hero, didn't you? You can't be a scaredy cat now!' With that resolve on his mind, he went on to investigate
Ritsuka Fujimaru was not having a good time. The dimensional portal threw him out a few meters up in the air. Causing him to a crash into... a pile of garbage? At least he thinks it was garbage, he didn't get a good look out of it before landing face first into it. This caused a landslide of chain reaction that ended up with Ritsuka buried under them.
He groaned at his misfortune. There's a few time when he Rayshifted high into the air like this. But those Rayshifts were tampered with by the enemy! "There's no way this was an accident. Tsukasa-san must've done this on purpose." He muttered with a sigh, imagining the older Rider laughing at his expense.
He heard a sudden footsteps nearby, a few seconds later came a green haired boy looking at the pile of trash with worried expression.
"U-Umm... H-Hello? Anyone here?" The boy nervously asked.
"Hi there! Don't worry about me, just taking my evening bath." Ritsuka said with a thumbs up, Only his arm could be seen, with Ritsuka himself still buried under the pile of trash.
Izuku were stunned, not expecting to see a hand buried under the pile of trash.
"I would appreciate a little help though. If you're offering that is."
"Ah, R-right! Hang on a sec!" Izuku grabbed the hand jutting out from the trash and pulled it out, revealing a black haired boy around his age with a white uniforn.
"Thanks, you're a lifesaver." Ritsuka said with a smile as he dusted himself off. He were grateful that the first person he met here were decent enough to lend him a helping hand.
Not used to being thanked on, Izuku does not know what to say. "Y-Y-You're w-welcome."
"My name is Fujimaru Ritsuka. What's yours?"
"M-Midoriya Izuku! Nice to meet you!"
"So, Midoriya-kun? Mind telling me where we are?" Ritsuka began his information gathering immediately, knowledge is power after all. Asking the friendly locals were always a good start.
"We're at Dagobah Beach right now. Is something wrong?" Izuku's own curious nature began to show itself.
Ritsuka spent a few moment to think off for a reasonable answer. "Well you see, I think I lost my memory. All I remember is my own name, and the fact that someone with a teleportation ability brought me here, that's the last thing I remember... Maybe I've suffered a concussion from that fall."
Izuku widened his eyes. This person in front of him were dealt with a terrible fate, and he's alone in the middle of the night at an isolated place like this. That can't be good. Izuku wanted to do something for him, his nature as a kind boy compelled him to do so. "That's... That's horrible, Fujimaru-kun! You don't remember where you live either right? Do you want to come over to my place for the night?" He offered.
'He seems like a nice kid. But I can't impose on him like that.' Ritsuka thought as he observed the kid in front of him. "Don't worry about it, Midoriya-kun. It seems I still have my wallet here with me." He said as he pulled out a black leather wallet from his pocket. He opened it and found that his money were still there. Strangely, no identification card of any kind were there. 'Weird, this might also be Tsukasa-san's doing...' He theorized that Tsukasa must've done it to hide his identity as someone that doesn't actually exist in this world. "I'll spend the night at a hotel or something for tonight."
"I see... But it's strange that you lost your memories and appeared here after being teleported. The culprit must've only intended to teleport you, with the memory loss as an unintended side effect. Or perhaps it could be the other way around and..." Izuku started mumbling to himself, theorizing about Ritsuka's circumstances.
"Umm... Midoriya-kun?" Ritsuka called out to the boy who seems to be lost on his own thought. Not getting any response, Ritsuka shook the green haired boy's shoulder. "Midoriya-kun!"
Izuku gasped at being suddenly pulled out from his mumbling. "Ah! S-Sorry about that! It's a bad habit of mine! I tend to overanalyze things!"
Ritsuka chuckled at the reaction. "It's cool. That shows that your brain cells is always in top gear."
"You... You don't think it's weird?"
"Huh? No way. Exploring every possible outcome like what you just did is crucial to get the best results. I sometimes do that as well."
'He even understood what I'm muttering about, no one ever does when I'm like that...' Izuku thought about the perceptive nature of the boy in front of him.
"Say, what were you doing at a place like this in the middle of the night, Midoriya-kun?"
"I uh... I was training! Training for my Hero Course entrance exam!" Izuku said, giving him a simplified version of his actual reason for being here.
"Oh, so you wanted to be a hero, huh? That's good. People who worked hard for their dreams like you have always earned my respect." He stated. 'That's right... People who never gave up attaining their dreams...' His mind flashed to his various Servants. Some wanted to help people, some wanted glory and recognition, and some just wanted to be reunited with their loved ones. No matter the reason, all of them are unwilling to denounce their dreams, willing to fight to the death to protect it. Of course, as their Master and friend, he had always supported them all as best as he could to attain their respective dreams. But deep inside, he had always envied them simply for having one... "Maybe I should try being a Hero too like you." He offhandedly mentioned his intention.
'He seems quite confident about this. He must have a pretty powerful Quirk.' Izuku thought, noticing how casually Ritsuka mentioned about wanting to become a Hero, as if he just decided that now. "Do you remember what's a Quirk?" Izuku asked, wanting to see if Ritsuka's memory about Quirk were lost as well. He received a nod from Ritsuka. "What's your Quirk then, Fujimaru-kun?"
"Oh... that's... a secret. Let's just say that it's defensive in nature."
"Defensive... Perhaps a Quirk that allows him to create a barrier around him, or maybe an endurance enhancement Quirk. If so, depending on how he applies it, both also have potential to be used offensively, making it a versatile Quirk. Meaning that..." Izuku stopped his train of thought, realizing he is doing his habit again. "S-Sorry! I'm doing it again!" Izuku frantically apologized with a bow.
"Hey hey, no need for that. I told you it's fine. Your guesses were pretty good there. Quite close in fact."
Izuku just stared at the other boy dumbfoundedly. Ritsuka is perhaps one of the most positive guy he ever met, instead of being weirded out by Izuku's strange habit, Ritsuka praised him instead. 'Maybe if it's him...' Izuku wanted to ask him something personal, something he has always wanted to hear, especially from someone his age.
"Hey, Fujimaru-kun... Do you mind if I ask your opinion on something?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"D-Do you t-think..." Izuku stopped for a moment to take a deep breath. "Do you think that people without Quirk... Can become a Hero too?"
"Of course." Ritsuka said without any hesitation. "Quirk may help in fighting crime, but I'm sure there's a wide variety of Quirk out there that doesn't directly help their user in combat. Meaning during a fight, they're essentially not that different from someone without a Quirk, relying solely on their skill and wits... With the right tools and mindset. I think anyone can become a Hero." Ritsuka stated, sharing his thoughts on the matter. He's not really sure what kind of Quirk that could exist, but he applied the logic of Noble Phantasm and Servant Skill on it. With there being all kinds of variety out there.
Izuku gaped at the opinion. Not sure if he's just hearing things right now. Even his idol All Might didn't think like that at first, having to be convinced first to change his mind. Yet this boy in front of him, without any hesitation whatsoever banished any doubts he had of becoming All Might's successor. Previously he thought he didn't deserve it. Thinking that it would be a waste if All Might's powerful Quirk were inherited by a Quirkless boy like him. But now, little by little. He started to regain the ability to believe in himself once again. His eyes started to tear up a bit, touched by Ritsuka's compassionate words.
"Eh? What's wrong, Midoriya-kun? Are you crying?"
"N-No! I just... gotten a little dust on my eyes, that's all." Izuku said as he wiped the tears away, trying to maintain his dignity. "Anyway, that's a pretty unorthodox views there, Fujimaru-kun..."
Ritsuka chuckled a little."Yeah, maybe. I guess someone like me who is not even a Hero course student shouldn't spout stuff like that, huh?"
"N-No! It's not like that..." Izuku frantically waved his hand around, not wanting Ritsuka to misunderstand his word. "There's... someone that I know, a friend, he... he wanted to become a Hero, even though he is Quirkless." Izuku stated with a forlorn look. "I never knew what to say to him to cheer him up. But now, I think I can lift his spirit up a bit, thanks to you, Fujimaru-kun..."
Ritsuka smiled, happy to know that he could be useful to someone. "Well, tell your friend that I wish him luck."
"Yes! I will! T-Thank you!"
Ritsuka nodded at that, before he suddenly yawned, only now he realized that he still haven't gotten enough sleep when Tsukasa brought him here. "Whoops, I guess it's getting late." He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "It's been fun meeting you, Midoriya-kun. But you should head home now, your parents might be dialing the police soon if you don't come back now."
"Ah, y-you're right!" Izuku panicked a little, he knew how much of a worrywart his mother are. "But how about you? Will you be fine?"
"I told you, no need to worry about me. Now go home and rest up. You gotta do more training tomorrow right?"
Izuku looked hesitant, before nodding at Ritsuka's word. "Fine, if you need anything, you can find me training here everyday. So don't hesitate to ask me for help, okay?"
"Sure, I'll keep that in mind."
Satisfied with the answer, Izuku smiled at his new friend (At least he thinks that they're friend anyway). "Okay, I'll be going now. Bye Fujimaru-kun." He said with a small wave as he turned around to leave with a small jog. Ritsuka simply returned the smile and waved back.
Now left alone, Ritsuka wanted to do something that has been on his mind the whole time he were here. Ritsuka checked all over his pocket, trying to find the Chaldriver given to him by Tsukasa, yielding no result.
"...It's not here. Where could it be? Did I drop it?" He muttered as he started searching under the pile of trash he was previously buried in.
"Still nothing, how strange..." Unable to find the aforementioned Driver, he racked his brain, trying to think for any good idea.
"Let's see, Riders usually just pull their Driver out from thin air, but I never thought about it too much, thinking it was just for convenience sake on the show..."
"Maybe it'll appear if I will it. Like how Heroic Spirit can store their weapon." He opened his palm, and focused on it. 'Come on, Chaldriver!' To his surprise, just like what happened with Tsukasa, a bright light momentarily engulfed his hand, the white and black Driver now on his palm.
"Oh, it worked! Nice! Time to buckle up!" He placed the Driver on his waist, and just like in most recent Kamen Rider shows, the strap automatically fastened itself on his waist, sitting there comfortably.
CHALDRIVER, SUMMONING STANDBY.
A robotic female voice announced from the belt.
Ritsuka grinned at it. Feeling giddy at the prospect of becoming a real Kamen Rider. He picked the card holster from his pocket, wanting to grab an SG card to transform. He noticed that on the right side of the Driver there appears to be something that resembles a connector shaped exactly like the holster on his hand. Realizing what it's for, he tried to put the holster there, and sure enough, it attached itself to the Driver like a magnet. 'Convenient.' He thought.
"Alright then! Let's do this!" He opened the holster from the right side of the Driver and picked out Mash's SG card.
"Let's go, Mash! Henshin!" He yelled as he slotted the SG Card on the hollow part of the C.
SHIELDER, STANDBY!
The C started glowing with purple light, but nothing happened yet, Ritsuka stood there dumbfounded. Not sure what to do next. 'Maybe if I push it...' And pushed it down he did, the C on the Driver retracted itself.
SUMMONING INITIALIZE, SHIELDER!
A red light resembling his Command Spell appeared under his foot. Three sphere of blue light circled around him, it moved to stack itself under one another as it goes faster and faster circling him, so fast that they look like a blur of blue line. The three line now moved closer towards him, ending with a pillar of blue light enveloping him.
As the lightshow dimmed down, what stands there now is an armored figure with a small cross-shaped buckler attached to his right arm.
SUMMONING COMPLETE
THE SHIELD OF ROUSING RESOLUTION!
An orange-haired girl with matching orange eyes walked down on a certain alley. Her hair were tied to a side ponytail. As she walked, she put her hand on the pocket of her orange hoodie. It seems she just really likes the color.
Her eyes were empty, devoid of any motivation or will to do anything. Not even when she found herself being surrounded by a bunch of thugs on said alley.
"Hey there, missy. What'cha doing on a place like this at this time of the hour?" A bald headed thug asked with a not so friendly grin
"Sightseeing, now beat it baldy."
"Oh, feisty aren't you?" A chorus of laughter followed.
The girl sighed, already knowing where this were headed. "Look, if you want money. I don't have any right now..."
"Heh, that's okay, you have something else you can give us instead. Ain't that right boys?" He guffawed with the others.
The girl clicked her tongue. 'Damn, today just keeps getting better and better huh? Spent all my money and not a single SSR came home. And now these assholes. What's next I wonder?'
"How about it girlie? Give me a kiss and maybe we'll go easy on ya." The bald thug ordered as he puckered up his lips. He was expecting the girl to comply. What he didn't expect was to find himself momentarily staring at the starry night sky.
The girl's leg were raised as high as her head. Hitting the bald thug's jaw and downing him instantly. The other thug were stunned, none of them expected this from the rather short girl. Her expression nonchalant with her hand still on her pocket.
"Get her!" One of them shouted in anger. The girl didn't even flinch at that, deciding these dumb schmuck are not worth getting worried over. Just as they were about to make the girl pay for hurting their leader, a sudden tremor could be felt behind them, sending a small shockwave throughout the whole alley. "W-What the hell?"
As the smoke slowly cleared up, they can finally see what's been causing it. The smoke slowly revealed the new arrival. An armored figure wearing a full set of obsidian armor with small purple patch on the breastplate, vambrace, and greaves. The figure wore a strange belt with white buckle and a black stylized C in the middle front of it. The only visible armament is a cross-shaped shield attached to the right arm. The figure stared at the thug, the purple visor on the helmet glowed ominously through the darkness, unnerving everyone present.
"O-Oh crap! It's... It's a Hero!"
"Shit, we're not prepared to deal with this!"
"W-Wait! What about the boss?"
"S-Screw it! I'm not gonna go to jail for this!"
The thugs all scattered. Leaving their unconscious leader behind. The only one left are the armored figure and the orange-haired girl, whose expression finally shifted slightly ever since she entered this alley. Her eyebrows raised, wondering what kind of Hero the one standing in front of her would be.
"Who... are you?" She asked, slightly in awe.
The one wearing the armor smiled under his helmet, he's been waiting for that kind of question being asked around here. "Just a passing-through Kamen Rider... Remember that!" He answered with a dumb grin plastered on his face.
Damn, describing how the Rider looked were not easy I tell ya. Even I'm not sure how I wanted him to look. I know, massive fail on my part. Hope you can kinda imagine how Ritsuka looked with the armor on. I'm not looking forward describing the other forms that's for sure!
Can anyone guess who the orange-haired girl was? I like to think that I made it pretty obvious.
I'll see you next time.
