1AN: This is the Sequel to Full Moon Visit. This one is told from Remus's POV.
Remus Lupin jerked his head up as he heard her voice. Why was she hear tonight? He shook his head, should wouldn't care if it was the night of the full moon. No, it wasn't like she came to see him. She always came to Sirius, of course.
He once again settled down into his corner, shivering while he waited for the transformation to begin. Suddenly, he heard Tonks shout "Is Remus in the dungeons?" No, he thought, don't let her come down here. She doesn't deserve to be in this awful place. Ever. And I don't want her to see me like this he added to himself.
When he heard footsteps, he knew she was coming. He huddled in his corner, trying to make himself unseen. That was when he heard her gasp, most likely at the sight of him. He turned slowly, "Go away, Tonks," he whispered, though he knew from her set expression she wasn't leaving until she had finished what she came down for. Whatever that was. He wasn't surprised when she answered "no" but a little shocked when she asked to come in. Had she just asked if she could be in the same space as a monster? Why would she want to do that? He wanted to scream "Yes" but he knew he couldn't, he didn't want to get ahead of himself. Instead, he didn't answer and let her decide for herself.
Before he knew it, she was in and trying to sit next to him. Immediately, he wolf sense of smell picked up her sweet smell. He inhaled deeply, remembering it. He wished she could stay, but he had to make her leave before his other wolf senses kicked in. He didn't want to do something they would both regret. Not now, not ever.
Finally, he gathered enough courage to say, "Please, go away Nymphadora. I don't want you to see me like this. I don't want you to lose what little respect you have for me." As soon as he said it, he mentally kicked himself for adding the last part, it sounded so selfish.
He heard her sigh, but didn't look at her, hoping she would leave. She didn't. Instead, she promised to leave as soon as she finished whatever she had come down there to do.
She must have taken his sigh as a sign to go on because she continued,
"I know this isn't the right time, and definately not the right place, but I need to tell you this. I don't even expect you to feel the same way. Remus Lupin, I love you. I know it probably doesn't mean much and isn't important right now, but I really do. I want us to be more than friends, but I understand if you don't feel the same way and just want to stay friends. Just know that I am always here for you, no matter when, where, or what for. I'm always here for you. Please don't let this ruin our friendship. I just had to tell you."
Remus froze, had she just said she loved him? And that it wasn't important? Of course it was! And that last part about always being there for him and not let it ruin there friendship? That was more important than anything to him! She cared about him!
As she stood, he regained his voice, "Thank you. And I love you too." he whispered. As she started to leave, he realized she didn't care what he looked like. Did she? She had just said she loved him and their friendship was important. All of a sudden, he wanted her to stay with him, atleast for a little while. "Please, Nymphadora, stay with me for a little while. Transformation isn't for about another hour." he held his breath as he waited for an answer. When she answered "Of course" he wanted to shout his happiness.
AN: I don't like this as much as the first one but I wrote it fast. Also, I was thinking about making this a number of short stories, but they would all be related to this story. Meaning, it would be fluff and not have much purpose, but it would be related not just a collection of stories. What do u think? R&R!
