Chapter 7: Small progress
I woke up later than normal with a massive hangover. Sona chastised me for going overboard at the dinner with her family, but I just tuned it out. She stopped after a while and seen I was suffering enough for it, and I appreciated that. After awhile though the headache passed and I was able to move around normally. Currently I am heading to town and just gonna explore more of Kuoh, maybe get Sona an apology gift, since I was pretty embarrassing when I got drunk. I'm also... clingy in her words. Judging from her reddened face when she said that I can only imagine what I did when I blacked out.
Dressed in a long sleeve shirt, and black jacket over it, with jeans, and a mask with sunglasses I made my way around the streets. I looked pretty sketchy at best, but I preferred that, than the constant shrieks. I was looking for something that I thought Sona would like and then found a thrift store. Looked like a little family owned place so I decided to check it out. For all I know a great gift could just be inside, plus the fresh air is nice.
Walking inside I heard a ding from the entrance bell and was greeted by a man behind the counter. "Hey there! Welcome t-" He looked at me and then reached for a bat and was making sure he saw me doing so as a form of intimidation.
I raised my hand in a universal sign of surrender. "Not here to rob you, man. Just don't like people looking at my scars so I covered up." He seemed to calm down a bit, but stayed wary. "I'm actually looking for something, a gift for my girl. I got too drunk and embarrassed her so I wanted to see about getting her something. Just passing through and all."
At this the large man snorts and leans on the counter. "Yeah... I been there before. Alright then, well welcome to Sekai, the shop where all cultures come together." I looked around and seen an assortment of knick-knacks, decorations, clothes, a few bits of jewelry in a glass case, a hobby area, etc. As I scanned I made my way back to the guy's smiling face and he stood tall and proud of his shop. "My name is Makarov, and I'll be the one helping you out today!"
I raise an eyebrow behind my sunglasses and my voice is unable to hide my curiosity. "Makarov? That is a foreign name I think... If I remember it is Ukrainian, right?" I ask as I snap a finger as I believe I got the answer.
"To get into technicalities it is Russian since Ukraine is it's own thing. I actually come from Kirillov, but I have been in Japan for the last 9 years." He clarifies.
"I couldn't even tell by your accent, then again I am not a Japan resident either. Can't really tell what is and isn't local yet." I chuckle as I look around at the decorations, I ended up seeing a few paintings and a fancy lamp that looks like it has Egyptian hieroglyphs along the base. "Name's Luca, by the way."
"Luca? That's Italian right?" I nod and he then laughs. "Well thankfully I still have it when it comes to nailing that down. Either way though, not many can tell that I am from Russia until they hear my name. Mother was Japanese and fell in love with Pops, when the cold took the both of them I decided to explore my mom's roots and see what life is like here." He chuckles towards the end. "Haven't regretted it since! Country is really beautiful."
"Yeah, it is. When I am not working I like to enjoy my time. Place really does bring a tear to your eye in the right places." I agreed with him and he nodded.
He then held out a hand and I took it for a firm shake. "Pleasure to meet you Luca. So what does your girl like? Maybe I can shed some light on what you might need to get her. You look like this isn't your scene."
I wince slightly. "Scathing. Is it that obvious?"
He nods and laughs. "I'm guessing first girl you ever had. I been there plenty of times and with age comes wisdom, Luca. Run a bit of what she is like by me and I may be able to grab some stuff. I got a little jewelry too that we can check out as well." He says as he hovers his hand over the door of the glass case.
I nodded and then began to explain. "I appreciate that, Makarov. Well for starters she is pretty serious all the time, really likes to keep things professional, and makes sure to stay prim and proper all the time." I put my hand to my chin and then continue. "I noticed she plays a lot of chess and that she likes to keep things well managed, but I haven't seen her really wear much in jewelry though." I finished and he nodded along as I spoke.
Makarov then got into deep thought and spoke out loud as he walked around the shop, grabbing a few things here and there. "Let's see... maybe this... and Oh definitely that. Hmmmm how about this and... this? Oh and can't forget this either!" I seen him assemble a group of items on the counter. He then shouted to me from the back. "Hey! She isn't a school or college girl is she?"
"Yeah she is... Student Council president at Kuoh!" I shouted back and then leaned against the counter and lifted a few things he put. There was a necklace with a purple amethyst in the center, a binder with plenty of rings that seemed to be filled with folders for easy organization, a quilt that had the periodic table sewn in, and a... dream journal? He eventually came back with a chess set as well as some books for advanced courses in different languages.
My eyes immediately trained themselves to the chess set and seen that they were made of crystal pieces. The board itself was made of glass, and the pieces were carved into hyper realistic versions of what they should look like from medieval times. The Knights were a man in armor on an armored horse that held a sword in a motion for the gesture to 'charge'. The King and Queen were sitting on thrones and had no faces, instead it was a small mirror that let you see yourself instead. Almost like it was putting you on the board and on a throne. I smiled as moved my hand to touch it, but Makarov stopped me.
"I'm guessing you think she'll like this." I nodded and then he grinned. "Well then there is the matter of payment."
As I was walking out I waved to Makarov. He gave me a great deal on it and it barely hit my accumulated wealth. He could have easily charged me an arm and a leg for this on the detail alone, but instead wants me to come stop by and chat sometimes. I agreed since he was a pretty nice guy and I don't really have too many friends, so this is nice to add one more to the group. Might see if he wants to go fishing with Kiba and I at some point.
As I was walking back to the school I took a detour in the city and came across a woman looking in a shop window at the a Shinto Kamidana. She was... well my breath caught in my throat at the sight of her. To say she was stunning would be insulting and there wasn't a word to describe her appearance. She had long black hair in a hime cut and black eyes, her attire consisted of a kimono and she just had this presence about her. I swallowed the lump in my throat and took a breath as I passed by her.
As I did she turned around and saw me take another look at her and she smiled at me. I grinned back, but I probably looked like a lunatic as I nervously laughed. "What the hell is wrong with me?!" I took a deep breath to compose myself and decided to walk over since I was caught. As I approached I then looked at the thing she was staring at. "A wooden door?"
She snorted and then shook her head. "A Shinto Kamidana. It is used to house a Kami in the home to keep a family safe. I have a few, but I just liked the work on this one." She then turned to me and those piercing eyes were boring into mine through my sunglasses. It was in a good way though, like enough to make you happy. "Not many use them anymore unfortunately. They can be of great help in times of need and protection. Someone as young as you not knowing about it is... concerning."
I chuckle and just let the happy feelings come to the surface. "I actually haven't lived in Japan for more than a week or two now. Not really versed in the culture yet, you know?" She seems taken aback by that knowledge.
"Really? But your Japanese is so good! It's like you have been speaking it for so long, since I don't detect an accent." She says and has a bit of a proud tone overtake the final parts of her statement. It's enough to make me grin like a loon behind my mask and I see her shudder a bit. I then see her reaching towards the mask and I reflexively grab her hand to stop her.
"I would like for this..." I point at my mask. "... to stay on. I don't want what's underneath to cause a panic." I say with more emotion than I am used to putting in that. She cocks her head and was looking at me with interest, but then nodded. I let go of her hand and she grabbed mine again and brought it up in front of her. I looked at her confused for a moment, but then she spoke.
"I saw a little bit, but... you are strong to be able to move forward. Truly... don't lose what helps you keep going. It would be a tragedy to see someone make it through something so dreadful and then get snuffed out before they can shine." She says with a very sweet, soft, and honest tone. I was mesmerized and then I saw my a notification that I mentally dismissed. I nod and a small tear falls from my eye, I don't know why, but those words hit really hard.
She then looked at the sky and then back to me. "I'll let you get back to your day. May I know your name if I can't know your face?"
"I-it's Luca." I quickly stutter out and then recompose myself. "Sorry. My name is Luca. What's yours?"
She smiles. "Luca? I like that! It is a wonderful name!" She beams and I swear she is glowing. "My name is Amani, Luca." She then gave me a bow and began to walk away. "Hopefully I will see you again, Luca!" She yelled back to me.
I just watched her leave for awhile and then called back. "Y-yeah! Hope I see you again as well Amani!" She smiled as she turned a corner and went back to the busy streets on the main road. I looked down and shook my head to clear all the buzz away. "Shit, Luca. What the hell was that?! You acted like a lovestruck puppy for a bit there." I shook my head once more and then started my way back to the school. "Such an idiot. What was that notification anyway?"
On cue the system then opens up to reveal what I was asking about.
Blessing of the Sun: Such a bright soul you have, Luca. It is unfortunately buried by the darkness you let cloud your heart, but since coming to Kuoh it has slowly been lifting! Today is such a boon since now the Sun wishes to extend some of it's warmth to your heart! For the rest of your life you now have a high resistance to fire and heat. Your Cremation flames only do an 1/8th of what they originally did to you in damage! If you ever find a way to get rid of those scars then you won't have to worry about extreme damage unless you do something really bad!
I looked at that message from the system and then turned back to the way the woman went. "What the fuck?" I shook my head and continued walking back to the school so I can summon Sona and give her this. "Just go with it and be thankful, Luca. Truly I am thankful for this as well."
I made it back to the school and since I didn't have a key to the place I just walked on in through the gate, literally. "Locked doors have never been so easy since that trait was given to me." I snorted at my own thoughts and removed my mask and sunglasses. As I made it to the doors I saw Rias standing at the window of her Occult Research clubroom. I gave her a wave and she gave the brightest smile I ever seen and shouted to me.
"LUCA! Wait right there!" I was understandably confused, but I had all day to give this to Sona. I could wait a little longer. Soon Rias was downstairs and she ran to meet me at the door. "You have no idea what you did do you?!" I shook my head and she gave me a newspaper. The headline was all I read. Riser Phenex: From A Brilliant Bird, To A Ashen Pile
I nodded as I looked at the photo of Riser with his father and mother, who looked very displeased with him. "Oh yeah. I kicked his ass in front of some Devil nobility. No big deal." I shrugged.
Rias looked at me like I just said the Earth was flat. "Not a big deal? Not a big DEAL?!" She then grabbed my shoulders and shook me back and forth as my body moved like a noodle in her excited grip. "You just saved me from a horrible fate!"
"WhAt ArE yOu TaLkInG aBoUt?!" I said as my voice was a bit wavy from all the shaking.
She stopped shaking me and then just hugged me tight as she laughed. "I was supposed to marry him, and after his interruption to your dinner with Sona's parents, my father terminated the contract of marriage between our houses! I am free from him and I don't have to worry about him anymore!" She exclaims happily and squeals in my ear.
I shrug while in her grip and pat her back with a half hug. "Well I didn't do it for you, but glad something good came of this. Knowing I saved you from something like that is nice to have been a part of. At least I can do a good deed every once in awhile, when I get violent." I say with a half chuckle at the end.
She nods and let's go of me, then finally notices the bag I have. She then looks back at me and then smiles again. "I really can't thank you enough." I nod and her eyes stray back to the bag. "What is that by the way?"
I lift the bag and look at it and then back to Rias. I put on a half smile and show her the board in the glass cover with the pieces. "A gift for Sona. I got a little drunk last night when I met the Satan Leviathan, still can't believe that someone like her is the Satan. Anyway, I got her this in hopes to make amends and say sorry."
Rias gazed over the detail of the board and smiled as she thought of Sona's reaction. "She is gonna love that. I really like all the detail that is going into it as well. It must have cost you a lot of money though."
I wave that off. "The money wasn't a problem, I just got it since I just felt bad I embarrassed her so much." I saw the mischievous glint in Rias' eyes. "Stop it." I say with a narrowed gaze.
"Awww, and here I thought you didn't have a heart and took up brooding as a hobby." She teased me.
"Shut up." I sighed.
She giggled a bit and then looked back at the board. "In all seriousness she is gonna love it." Rias then looks up at me. "Oh I almost forgot. I reincarnated a new pawn last night as well. I wanted to see if you would like to come hang out with us after school tomorrow and meet him."
I thought about it for a moment and then shrugged. "Sure. I can make some time. Sona has the rest of her peerage doing some sort of after school work and I am not really interested in all of that."
"That actually reminds me of something. Why haven't you enrolled here? Aside from the scars and piercings, you don't look that much older than me." She asked and made a good point.
"I actually graduated a few years ago. I took my studies into my own hands and graduated from a private course when I was 15." I answered and Rias made an 'Oh' sound. "Still though I can always enroll in the college courses when I am 18 or something, but I am too busy for that. I also got some more hunting to do that night and Sona and the rest are gonna make a nice show so it looks like I am not with you guys."
Rias nodded and then motioned to the door. "Well I think the idea is smart, but if it comes out to the Fallen that you are engaged to Sona, then that ruse goes out the window." She sighs as she holds the door to the school building open for me. I looked for a key and she held her finger out and showed a magic circle. I nodded and then just walked in. "It was smart, until you made such a public display."
I sighed once more and then continued inside to the student council room with her. "Yeah... you may be right, but I am not telling any of the Satans since I want Freed for myself, and if they get involved I may not get him." She nodded and then looked down in sadness. I waved it off and then kept talking. "No need to feel guilty about anything Rias. You couldn't have stopped what happened so long ago."
She shook her head and then looked to me with a serious expression. "No it isn't that, but I... I have to talk to you and Kiba. I want to tell you both about something... after you find Freed. I also want Kiba there too when you get him, okay?" She looks like she is pleading at the end, but I just shake my head and sigh.
"Fine. If you need to talk to us then we can worry about that when it happens." We stop just outside of the student council room. "Gonna come in with me?" I ask her.
"Hm?" She hums in thought. "Nah. I'll let you and your fiancé enjoy each other's time." She smirks and then hugs me again. "Thank you again, Luca. That talk will be a great day for you too. I promise."
I nod and she then teleports away with a magic circle. I looked back to the door and walked through it. "Alright... let's get this over with."
I set up the board so that we could hop into a game when I summoned Sona. I was honestly a little nervous since I ain't used to doing sappy stuff like this. Actually I never really did anything like this before so it is probably first time jitters. I sucked in a breath and just said fuck it. I then walked forward to the large magic circle behind the desk and used it. I thought really hard about Sona and in a few seconds a blue light lit the room as Sona teleported in.
As soon as she made eye contact with me she narrowed her gaze a bit, but softened it after a second. "Yes, Luca? Why have you summoned me."
I go to speak and then I stop. I mull over the words for a moment and then just shake my head. "Look Sona, I ain't good with this sappy stuff, so here goes. I am sorry for embarrassing you and so I got you something." I motioned to the desk and she followed my finger. She looked at the chess set from afar. Her face softened further as she walked to it and looked over the detail of the thing. "It's a crystal chess set. Crafted by hand or something, but I hope it makes up for me being an ass. If not the-"
"I love it..." She says and then turns to me with a smile on her face and slightly flushed cheeks. She walked forward and hugged me. "You big dummy. I was just gonna give you the silent treatment for a bit, but I didn't expect you to do this!" She then looks back to the chess set. "It looks really expensive, Luca. You didn't have to do this."
I looked back at her face and gave a smile as I closed my eyes. "Nah... I wanted to. I got a little crazy when I blacked out towards the end, so this is an apology." I say as I place a hand on her head and pat it as I give her a hug with my free hand. "Care for a game? Maybe you'll win this time?" I tease her.
She looks back at me challengingly, but also happiness. That mask is completely gone now. "Yes! Let's see how badly I beat you today. I have to pay you back after all." I smirk as we both make our way to the board and play for the rest of the day. She won some, and I did too. We called it a draw since we just lost count and talked most of the time.
Monday After School
I was on my way over to the Occult Research club, like Rias had requested I do yesterday. As I walked there I thought back to how great last night was. Sona and I ended up talking till midnight and after she realized the time she freaked out. She is letting that prim and proper personality of hers down around me more and more. I actually like it when she does, not many would really know how vulnerable she actually is, but for her to drop it around me means she really likes me. I knew it, but I am only realizing just how much since I put her over my wants and desires at the dinner.
She, and the peerage, were off to look for any signs of Freed and I am happy to know she is actually looking hard for him. The others keep complaining about it, since she is making them all cover a certain amount of ground and record their findings. Honestly hearing all the complaints is a small price to pay to get a little closer to my family being allowed to truly rest.
As I was outside of the clubroom I heard someone shouting inside of the room. "THIS IS THE GREATEST CLUB EVER! I'M SO GLAD I'M MEEEE!" I sighed and walked into the room and as I did I saw this chestnut haired guy standing inside the room. He looked back at me and then froze in place. "Y-y-y-y-you... b-b-b-b-b-but... w-w-w-wha whaaa?!"
"Hey." I say.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I scrunch my face and cover my ears. "What the hell?! With a name like Occult Research Club I didn't know Sona's monster was gonna be here!" He jumped behind the couch that Koneko was sitting on and Kiba looked at me apologetically. Akeno started to giggle.
I then turned to Kiba. "What's going on here? I came to meet a new member of your group, but after that little introduction I am starting to regret it." I say with a bored expression. I already saw Koneko coming towards me and I pulled a few chocolates out of my pocket, that I had stashed in the Council room. She greedily took them and smiled at me as she rushed back to the couch. "Heh... well I guess seeing that was a little worth it."
I then turned to as I heard the sound of a footsteps from across the room. "I'm sorry about that Issei. I didn't have time to shower so I took one before you arrived. I thought I had time and that was terribly rude of me." She says as she dries her hair. I raised an eyebrow as the guy became a drooling mess and his nose was beginning to bleed. I shook my head as I saw she looked at me with the same smile. "And I am sorry for that on you as well, Luca. I hope you can forgive me."
I sigh. "Your fine. Just leave me out of the seduction, alright?" I say as I take a walk to a couch and stand behind it. Kiba and Akeno sit on it in front of me.
Rias giggles as Issei seems to be a steaming mess of cheers as he heard me say seduction. "I'll do my best, Luca. Can't try to steal Sona's Fiancée, now can I?"
That is what broke Issei out of his stupor. "HUH?! Fiancée?! You and Sona are getting married?!"
"At some point, yes." I say lazily and just chill out behind the two who are now chuckling at me. I turned to Rias. "Jeez... a loudmouth and an obvious pervert? You really lucked out, didn't you?" I say sarcastically and the Issei guy gives a grunt.
"Hey don't you go insulting me because you are getting some Oppai, Piercings! I am what I am and don't try to insult that!" He says as he points at me and sits by Koneko, who scoots away slightly.
"I think you just made my point in two sentences. I'm impressed Issei." I say with a chuckle. He pouts a bit and then Rias claps her hands.
I turn to see her and she is definitely enjoying this, but she obviously wants to speak on something. "Well as much as I enjoy all of this I think it is time to officially welcome you to the club Issei. Of course this actually just a front to look like a hobby to disguise it from what it actually is."
Issei looked confused. "Wait, so if it is just a front then what is it really?"
Rias then chuckled to the question and then answered him. "Well Issei, I am not the only Devil in this room~." She says with a mysterious tone to her voice.
Issei then leans forward and exclaims. "Wait?! Then all of you are Devils?!" His eyes moved to everyone as he took everything in.
"Everyone, but me. I'm still human." I say boredly from my position.
"Bullshit! Out of everyone here you look most like a Devil! Look at you with all those burns and piercings! You even wear all black, you just look like a bad guy from a superhero show!" He says and a few others in the room look to him with a slightly offended look.
I just continue. "Well like it or not, I am still a human being and you are the newest Devil here soooo... enjoy that I guess." I say with a small circle gesture to my hand. Issei pales as he hears that and then it looks like he was gonna make a run for it, but I quickly appeared in front of the door as I put some distance between us. "Don't." He looks confused and I just glare at him. "Sit and listen before you freak out." Eventually he does so and I just look at Rias and nod to her. "No more interruptions... enjoy your story telling."
She chuckled and nodded. "Well Issei it is as he says. You are a Devil and the one who attacked you last night was a Fallen Angel." She says and he leans forward to hear her out. "Those are Angels who have fallen from Heaven due to their emotions and seek to destroy us. Of course we have to deal with normal Angels as well, but the one from last night and the night before that were both Fallen Angels."
Issei looks shocked and I narrow my eyes. "Two Fallen Angels? What is going on?" I then interject into the conversation. "Sorry for the small lie, but what did the two of them look like?" I can see Rias get slightly annoyed and I sighed. "It's important, Rias."
She gets the message after I emphasize that word and she describes them. "Well one of them was a Fallen Angel that Issei is very familiar with. Her name is Raynare, but she also goes by Yuuma Amano." Issei gasped and stood up from the couch, but Rias continued unbothered. "The other was a man, named Dohnaseek. He was horribly burned as was missing an eye and his legs." The rest of the room turned to me and then Issei did too, but after they all did. "You wouldn't happen to have been the one to do that to him were you Luca?"
Issei swallowed nervously and I just shrugged. "Yeah I did, but to be fair he attacked me. Guy fled before I could finish the job, so he can suffer till I find him for all I care." Akeno gained a mischevous glint to her eyes and Issei gulped, audibly. "To be fair though I WAS trying to kill him, but again, he got away. I don't leave jobs half done... kinda like him." I joke and it gets a chuckle from Rias and Akeno.
Issei just looked around in slight abject horror. "Dude... what the hell?" He says and I shrug. "Are all of you like this?!" They all shake their heads. He then gets back on to what shocked him. "Wait, so did I meet Yuuma or was that just a dream, because Matsuda and Motohma don't remember her at all! No one does!" He says, understandably confused once more.
"That is because all of their memories were altered or erased of her ever existing. We Supernatural are able to do that very easily to the undefended minds of mortals. It is almost childsplay." Rias says with a mischevous tone and then Issei looks like he is remembering a lot of things.
"Wait, so if he is the only one that isn't a Devil, then why does he get to keep his memories?!" Not a bad point honestly, however...
"That is because of the fact that Luca here has dealt with Devils and the Supernatural at large all his life. Certain mortals are privy to the knowledge, especially if that mortal has supernatural abilities themselves." She then looks to me and nods, and I lift my hand, as I understand what she wants. I then ignite it with blue flames the rise up to the ceiling and back down again as they extinguish and Issei looks pretty amazed at that. He then looks to his hand tries it, but nothing happens, causing me to snort.
"After a Fallen accomplishes a goal then all records and memories of their existence is erased from those that knew of them during their mission." Rias continues.
"Wait, so what goal did she have?" He asks.
"Her goal was to kill you since you possess something called a Sacred Gear. You were deemed a threat and then eliminated by her for the power you possess. They actually went after Luca here for the same thing, but found out that he wasn't a Sacred Gear wielder and horribly underestimated him, thus Dohnaseek's injuries." She finishes.
He then looked to me and was about to say something, but Akeno cut in. "Sacred Gears are a big thing because they basically show up in humans, but are extremely rare. The only ones I know of are historical figures, and Kiba, so you are kind of a big deal around here, Issei. Of course it is just as rare for someone like Luca to exist as well. Even more so when you see the oddity of his abilities." She says and Issei dumbly nods.
I looked to Kiba and he was all smiles. "You have a Sacred Gear?" He nods and then I make a mock gesture as if I was stabbed in the heart. "Oh the pain, my only guy friend in Japan hid something so big from me." I get a few chuckles from Rias, Akeno, and Kiba.
Kiba then replies with a smile. "Well it isn't like it came up in conversation. I have the Sacred Gear, Sword Birth. It allows me to make any magic Devil sword that I wish. My imagination is my limit, as is my Magic power, but it is very useful."
"We are gonna train the hell out of that later. Congratulations on being a Gear wielder Issei." He looks at me a bit surprised I am capable of being nice. "A gear makes you really special and is a fast pass to the Supernatural world. Welcome to the chaos." I say as I spread my arms and then go back behind the couch since he doesn't look like he will be running anymore.
"Well now that you know of this Issei, then I would like you to hold out your left hand." Rias states as she sits on the desk. "I would like you to concentrate on the strongest part of your body and pull hard on that." I then see Issei's eyes looking lower on Rias as her breasts are pushed around by her arms. Her legs aren't crossed either so her underwear would be in clear sight of his gaze.
"Keep being a blatant pervert and I'll step on your head like a grape." I say and he gets chills as he tries to focus harder, but can't stop sneaking peeks. I shake my head. "Man, Rias really found someone that's gonna be a handful."
Issei eventually gave up since he couldn't pull it out. He seems to be breathing hard from straining so much. "I... can't... it's too... hard..."
Rias smiles and then stands up. "That's okay Issei. It may be too early to pull out your Sacred Gear, so we can just try to make you strong enough to force it out."
"How would we do that?" He asks and then sits back down from all the straining.
"Well the way it works is that we Devils complete contracts and we get stronger for each contract. The longer one is a Devil, the stronger one becomes as well, since we gain strength passively with age, and we can either throw you in a war to gain valor, or we can simply train you through exercise and tutelage to make you stronger as well." Rias explains and then looks over to me.
"Actually I was wondering if you were willing to do some bodyguarding for Issei, Luca. Since we have those exorcists and Fallen I would hate for something bad to happen." She finishes and then I roll my eyes.
"Yeah I guess I can do that, but if-" My phone rings in my pocket and I pull it out. My eyes narrow at the screen.
Saji- "Hey, Luca. I think I found Freed." 4:10 PM
