After Jon patched Snotlout from the wolf's bites, Joe took off with Lightning to bring the wolf back to his pack, making sure that it wouldn't come back to the Edge. And everyone went back to their daily routine. They got back on training in the defenses against those Dragon Hunters. Snotlout demonstrated his moves by knocking down targets, which act as Dragon Hunters that the gang used for target practice. Stoker was leaning on top of the wall as he watched the training commence. Although it was annoying considering Snotlout was boasting himself as he did his training with Hookfang, knocking down targets.
"Coming in hot! Haha, that's right! Get some, Dragon Hunters, get some! Snotlout, Snotlout, oi, oi, oi!" Snotlout cheered himself.
"Huh, for once Snotlout is actually doing a good job." Jon complimented.
"For once." Joe mutters out. However, Snotlout's success was short lived when one of the targets landed on Hookfang's tail, causing the Nightmare to make a complete halt and sending Snotlout flying before he skids in front of Ruff's and Tuff's feet. The Thorston Twins held up eight of the fingers, showing Snotlout's score.
"The judge from Berserker Island gave you a 6." Tuff informs with a grin.
"And it failed." Stoker said with a scoff as he leaned over a wall.
Hiccup and Astrid glanced at each other before Hiccup decided to change the subject. "Uh, nice effort, Snotlout! We all need to stay sharp, especially with those Dragon Hunters on the loose." He said as Snotlout made a weak thumbs up. Hiccup then turns to Astrid and gestured her to the field. "Astrid, you're up!"
As Astrid readied her axe, Spitelout came when Snotlout got up on his feet. "You really should loosen your grip there, boi-oh. It maximizes the bone's shattering potential." He informs his son as his Deadly Nadder, Kingtail, follows him from behind. Everyone was surprised to see him. They didn't expect any visitors today.
"Dad?" Snotlout spoke in surprise.
"Spitelout! Eh, what a…what a 'pleasant' surprise." Hiccup said, trying his best not to be all awkward.
"Why is he here?" Mira whispers out.
"I don't know, but I have a strange feeling about this." X said to Mira.
Spitelout picks up a spear and inspects it carefully. "Eh, dull." He said towards the spear.
Snotlout, trying to impress his father, suddenly becomes aggressive. "Haha, yeah, I was just telling them that, dad." He said as he walked over to him. "Hey, did you see that..."
Spitelout cuts him off as he places a hand on his son's shoulder. "I came with news from Berk. There's to be a union tomorrow between two proud houses: our family, House Jorgenson, and..."
Astrid scoffs as she leans towards Mira and Hiccup. "What kind of muttonhead would marry into the Jorgenson's?" She asked with a smirk.
"...Astrid's family, House Hofferson!"
Astrid smirk vanished when he mentioned her family's name. So, shock that she drops her axe. "Wait, did he just say...House Hofferson?"
"That is unprecedented." Fishlegs said in shock. "There has never been a union between these two families!"
"And why's that?" Stoker dared to ask.
"Hoffersons have always disliked Jorgensons, and…" Fishlegs were cut off by Astrid.
"Jorgensons have always irritated Hoffersons." Astrid stated firmly and annoyed before she became scared as she realized something. "Wait, this means Snotlout's gonna be...family?"
"That's bad." X said in pity.
"Oh, dear." Mira whispers in shock and worry.
"You poor-poor soul." Stoker mutters out.
Snotlout waltzed over to her happily as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "What's the problem, i? This is just going to bring us closer!" He said as he pulled Astrid close to him, earning a glare from Astrid before she elbows Snotlout on the chest, hard. Making the Jorgenson boy groan in pain as he withdraws from her and clutches his chest.
Spitelout has his arms wide open as he welcomes Astrid. "Welcome to the family, lass. Now, onto business!" Kingtail came from behind Spitelout and lowered himself as the adult Jorgenson took something from the saddle before he unwrapped it to reveal an axe. Mira notices that the axe was fancier looking with circle design on the back with a well carved handle.
"Woah! The Jorgenson family ceremonial axe! There's never been a union without it!" Snotlout was admired at the axe, but as he was about to touch it, Spitelout placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Aye, and as you know, it will need to be present tomorrow at Berk's secret matrimonial site, the Island of Friga, to chop down the ceremonial birch for this union to be official, so you, Snotlout, will be delivering it!" Spitelout explained as he handed the axe to him, who took it gradually.
"Sweet!" Snotlout said in amazement.
"That's quite an honor, Snotlout!" Hiccup said with impress.
Snotlout holds up the axe with pride. "This privilege is only given to the bravest and most virile member of the Jorgenson clan. And you guys are looking at him! Boom, baby! Whooo!" He brags as he plays around with the axe.
"Oh, gods." Stoker mutters out, knowing that Snotlout will be over his head about the axe.
"I would have done it myself if I wasn't already responsible for procuring the beasts for the union's ceremonial 400 bore feast." Spitelout said, cutting Snotlout's brag.
"But I'm the family's natural second choice for the job." Snotlout said, hoping the moment of glory will continue.
But Spitelout didn't finish his words. "Of course, Hedgelout isn't available. He's still missing at sea..."
"Wait, he still hasn't come back from his two months sailing?" Mira asked in surprise and shock.
"Nope, but I'm sure he's fine…I think." Spitelout mutters out the last part.
"Third choice…that's still good. Right?" Snotlout asked his dragon, who grunted.
"Ah, and then there was Griplout." Spitelout added as he thought of the other Jorgenson.
"Griplout?" Astrid asked in confusion as she placed her axe on her shoulder.
"Are you talking about the Jorgenson that lost both his arms in that freak mutton accident?" Hiccup asked Spitelout, recalling that disturbing event.
"He what?" X asked in somewhat shock. "He lost both of his arms?"
Spitelout nodded his head sadly. "Aye, he just couldn't get a good enough hold on the axe with his teeth." He explains before turning towards his son. "Remember, a lot is riding on this, boi-oh. No axe, no wedding. No wedding, well, hopefully, you're smart enough to at least figure that out. Well, I have to be on my way. Bores don't grow on trees, you know."
Astrid whispers towards Mira. "Thank Thor I don't have to go to that ridiculous-"
Spitelout cuts her off when he adds. "Oh, lass, your folks are expecting you to represent your family at the ceremony. So better get a move on!" Astrid growls in annoyance while Hiccup laughs quietly, but instantly regrets it when Spitelout then added. "You too, Hiccup!"
"What? Me?!" Hiccup asked in shock.
"Aye, Stoick's orders. You're representing the Haddocks!" Spitelout informs him as the adult Jorgenson gets on his dragon.
Toothless growls in annoyance, not wanting to go to the reunion. Hiccup understood his dragon's look and agreed with him. "Yeah, tell me about it." He mutters out.
"See you at the ceremony! Onward, dragon! Spitelout, Spitelout, oi, oi, oi!" Spitelout's dragon took off while his rider cheered himself.
Snotlout watches his father leave as he calls out to him with a hint of unsureness. "Don't worry, dad! I got this!" But when Snotlout turns around he sees Astrid, Hiccup, and Toothless giving their annoyed glares. "What are you all looking at? I can do this!" Snotlout accidentally flings the axe to the other side of the arena, causing it to smack into something while Chicken lets out a loud cluck, followed by a cat's hiss of surprise. Snotlout screams in shock as he goes after the axe.
Stoker rolled his eyes. "Wow, he so 'got' this." He said sarcastically, having a gut feeling that this will not end well.
"Don't you just love union ceremonies?" Fishlegs asked, clasping his hands together.
"Don't know, never been to one." Tuffnut said.
"What? Really?" Fishlegs asked in surprise.
"Yeah, us Thorstons are not exactly the marrying kind. We're more of the mutton kind." Tuff explained while his sister scratched herself before sniffing her fingers.
"Well, as luck would have it, I'm somewhat of an authority on Viking union ceremonies," Fishlegs proudly. "What do you say, you both meet me at my hut, later and I will teach you everything you need to know." Fishlegs suggested.
"Great!" Tuff exclaims happily. "Because we know very little about most things." Tuff and his sister walked away while Fishlegs let out an annoyed sigh.
X then came over to Fishlegs. "Fishlegs, can I come along as well? I am curious about Viking unions and their purpose."
Fishlegs turned to him with a smile. "Sure, this will make a great opportunity for you to understand Viking tradition." He said before turning towards Stoker. "What about you, Stoker? Want to come along?"
"Pass." Stoker said blankly. "I have no interest in Viking marriages."
"Suit yourself." Fishlegs said with a shrug before he and X walked away.
Stoker rolled his eyes as he was about to walk off somewhere when he spotted Mira and Kishi talking. "I know it sounds weird, Kishi, but I could've sworn I heard something last night." Mira said to Kishi.
"Maybe it was the Thorston twins making a fuss again." Kishi suggested.
"No, they were stuck at the boar pit." Mira said to him.
"What are you talking about?" Stoker asked, coming over to them.
"Mira could've sworn she saw someone outside of her hut." Kishi explains to him. "And for some reason, she believes that it wasn't anyone at the Edge."
"Do you think it's one of those Dragon Hunters?" Stoker asked with narrowed eyes.
"Not sure, but we're going scouting tonight to find some clues." Mira said before asking. "Do you want to join?"
Stoker thinks about it. He then glanced at the Thorston Twins, running around like idiots, before his eyes then drifted towards Snotlout. He was trying to pull the axe out of the wooden dummy. It didn't take long for him to choose as he decided to join in the search with Mira.
"On second thought, maybe I will join you guys." Stoker said in agreement.
"It settled then; we'll wait tonight." Kishi said.
Later that night, everyone was asleep. Only Kishi, Mira, and Stoker were awake. Accompanying them were Sapphire, Virgo, and Karma. They wanted to know what was out there, watching them. They set off towards the forest to find out if there was anyone that somehow got past the Night Terrors. As they searched, Stoker picked up an unknown scent. It was a dragoness but didn't know what type of species. He tracks down what was watching them, deeper into the forest, but he has no idea that he was being watched from the trees. When he got closer, something came down from the tree and attacked him!
Stoker didn't have to react as his attacker kicked him in the face, sending him flying before he skids to a halt. He growled in fury; his mouth was smoking with flames as he glared towards his hooded attacker.
"WHO ARE YOU?!" He roared, smoke spewing from his mouth. The hooded figure didn't say anything to him, making Stoker grow angrier. The Human/Monstrous Nightmare hybrid roared in anger as he charged at the hooded figure. But he was fast and dodged all of Stoker's attacks. The hooded figure blocked his punches, didges his kicks, and his tail swipe. And yet the mysterious figure was able to avoid his attack before doing a roundhouse kick on his face. Stoker growled before bursting into flames. He roars at his attacker before releasing a stream of fire. The stranger dodges it before removing his cloak and tosses at Stoker's face, blinding him just long enough for the stranger to kick him from behind, sending him falling on the ground. Mira and Kishi came running over to them.
"Stoker!" Mira cried out to him but stopped in her tracks as she saw the attacker.
The attacker was actually a girl about Mira's age. And what's weird is that she looks exactly like her! Except for the part that she has silver eyes, and her hair was longer and was tied to a ponytail. She glared towards them as she did a battle stance. Stoker was able to remove the cloak off him before his eyes widened to see the attacker was a girl!
"You've got to be kidding me?!" He exclaimed as he was shocked that a girl took him down.
Mira walked over to them, ignoring Stoker, as she looked at the girl in confusion. "Who…who are you?" She asked.
"I should be asking you the same thing." The girl hissed at her. "Who are you and why did you go to my island?!"
"Excuse me?! We never went to your island!" Stoker roared at her.
"Oh, really? You were there along with those other three males with you!" The girl yelled at him.
"What do you me-wait a minute…three males?" Stoker asked in confusion.
"Don't play dumb with me! You were there along with a human Skrill and two Vikings!" The girl said to him.
"…By any chance these two Vikings are a skinny male and a chubby male?" Stoker dared to ask.
"Uh…yeah! You were there when you got in the cave!"
"…Oh, scales no…no, no, no…" Stoker mutters out as he looks at the girl. "You can't be serious!?"
"Stoker? What's wrong?" Mira asked in concern.
Stoker points at the girl. "She's a Lycanwing! A real Lycanwing!" He exclaimed in anger and annoyance.
Mira's eyes widened in shock and surprise, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. A Lycanwing…is real?! She always thought that they were just made up in Gobber's story. But I guess they are real. However, is the girl really a Lycainwing?
"Are you really a Lycanwing?" Mira suddenly asked the girl.
"What's it to you if I'm a Lycanwing or not!" The girl exclaimed to Mira with a glare.
"Mira." Kishi spoke via telepathy. "That girl, she has the scent of an unknown dragon as well as Edgar's scent…I believe they are kin."
"Really?" Mira asked, earning a nod from Kishi. "And that means…" Mira looks at the Lycanwing girl in shock. "You're Mia."
The Lycanwing girl's eyes widened at that name. "How do you know my name?! Did Edgar send you?!"
"Wha-NO! No! Nonono! He didn't! In fact, he tried to kill us." Mira said to Mia.
"What?"
"It's a long story short, Edgar wanted to take and kill us for befriending dragons and wanting revenge for locking him up at Outcast Island for three years, and now he is working with Dragon Hunters to take us down. How's that?" Stoker explained to Mia, who's eyes widened by this.
"I…have no words." She said before adding. "But it doesn't explain why you guys were at my island?"
"Hey! It wasn't a choice!" Stoker exclaimed at her with a growl. "Our idiot friend thought he was bitten by a Lycanwing and we had to figure it out before he could jump off a cliff!"
"Seriously?" Mia asked dumbfoundedly.
"Seriously/ Seriously." Mira, Kishi, and Stoker answered in unison.
"So…you guys are not dragon hunters?" Mia asked them, still suspicious about them.
Mira shook her head. "No, we're not, in fact. We care for the dragon and want to save them from dragon hunters." She said to Mia, who was shocked by this, "And I know you might not believe us, but you must know, we would never hurt dragons."
Mia stared at Mira for a while, like she was checking if she was lying or not. But soon, her eyes softened, and she released a sigh. "Okay, I believe you."
Mira smiles at her. "Thank you, Mia."
"Just don't try to come to my island unannounced." Mia said as she was about to walk away until Stoker stopped her.
"Hold up, how did you end up as a Lycanwing?" Stoker asked suspiciously.
Mia stops at her tracks and looks at the ground, her fists clenching in somewhat anger. Noticing this, Mira placed a hand on Stoker's shoulder. "Stoker, no." She said to him before looking at Mia. "You don't have to tell us. Just go back to your island and will never tell anyone about encountering you."
"…Good." Mia whispers as she was about to walk away until…
"If you're ready to talk about it, just say so, okay?" Mira said to the Lycanwing girl.
"…I'll think about it." And with that, Mia runs off the forest, never to be seen again.
"What was that all about?" Stoker asked in annoyance.
"There are some people that prefer privacy." Mira said to Stoker. "And you should be a little nice to her."
"Hey, she started it." Stoker said in annoyance.
Mira sighs and shakes her head. "Let's go back. The others might be worried about us." They agreed before they took off back to the Edge, where they could rest.
~On the next day~
"Mira! I need your help!" Snotlout came running to the beach.
Mira gathers lobsters with her brothers and dragons for the union ceremony. Spitelout sent a Terror Mail this morning and asked to collect some lobsters to eat since some of the members like lobsters. Snotlout looked like he was in panic mode as if something bad happened.
"Snotlout? Is there something wrong?" Mira asked.
Snotlout grabs her arm. "No time to explain, but I need you at Breakneck Bog!" He then quickly pulls to Hookfang and they take off with him. Seeing this, Sapphire and Virgo quickly followed them, wondering what's going on while the others stayed behind.
"Snotlout, what's going on?!" Mira asked through the wind as Snotlout made Hookfang fly faster.
"He lost the Ceremonial Axe." Came Stoker's reply. Mira turns to see X and Stoker flying by with Hiccup and Astrid on their dragons.
"I didn't lose it!" Snotlout snaps at him. "That stupid dragon has it!"
"What kind of dragon?" Mira asked in confusion.
"It's called an Armorwing dragon." X answered her.
"Then why do you need me to go to a Breakneck Bog?" Mira asked again.
"Snotlout has an idea of training some Smothering Smokebreaths to steal the axe from the Armorwing. And since you have a history with them, they might willingly help." X explained to Mira.
"Why can you just show the Armorwing my mark? It worked with the other dragons." Mira suggested.
"Yeah, but Snotlout is stubborn and probably won't listen to your ideas." Stoker said to her.
"There it is!" Snotlout points at Breakneck Bog.
"Okay, so what's the-"
Hiccup was cut off when Snotlout started charging on the island, chanting. "Snotlout! Snotlout! Oi! Oi! Oi!"
"Oh, gods, Snotlout!" Hiccup yells after him as he and the others chase after Snotlout and Hookfang. The Jorgenson boy reached the Smokebreaths' nest. There, he holds up Mira, as if she was some kind of prize.
"Hey! Smokebutts! Lookie here!" Snotlout holds up Mira. "Your favorite girl is here!"
"Snotlout!" Mira shrieks as she holds onto his arms with her dear life.
Seeing Mira, the Smokebreaths roared happily to see the mermaid again. Few take off to the sky and go to her. This gave Snotlout the opportunity to lead the Smokebreaths to Armorwing's island. The others quickly chased after him, yelling at him to be careful with Mira. However, Snotlout messes up and accidentally slips Mira off the saddle, causing her to scream as she plummets to the water.
"MIRA!" Everyone shouted in panic.
But before Mira could hit the water, an unknown black dragon came swooping down and caught Mira by its talons, saving her from her doom. Everyone was shocked to see the unknown dragon saved Mira before taking her to Armorwing Island. There, the mystery dragon placed Mira down gently to the ground, causing the girl to look at the dragon with curious and confused eyes.
"T-Thank you…" Mira said hesitantly.
"Don't mention it." The Dragon spoke through her mind, sounding like a female and Mira's eyes suddenly widened at the sound of the dragon's voice.
"M-Mia?!" Mira whispers in shock.
"Hey."
"H-How?"
"Lycanwing, remember?" Mia reminded Mira.
"Oh…right…" Mira said with a blush of embarrassment as she released something. "Wait, why are you here?"
"Er…I was around and…well…" Mia was hesitant as Mira looked at her in confusion. "Look, I was thinking about what you've said about needing to talk. And I did some thinking and…well…"
"You wish to talk about how you got your Lycanwing?"
"Well, yes, and the fact that you're trying to stop my so-called dad from hunting all dragons from extinction." Mia stated to her. "And because I heard rumors from dragons that you are a mermaid. So, I need a lot of luck."
Mira giggled before she heard Sapphire's roar. Looking up, they saw the others coming over to her, except the Smokebreaths, they weren't with them. The dragons and hybrids landed and growled at Mai, who growled back. However, Stoker stops as he recognizes her scent.
"Oh, not you again!" Stoker exclaims in anger.
"Stoker, do you know this dragon?" Hiccup asked in confusion.
"Sadly, yes, she was on our island after we went to the Lycanwing." Stoker said in annoyance.
"Wait a minute, are you saying that she's a…" X trailed off when they heard Mia's voice in their minds.
"Yeah, I'm Lycanwing, go figure." Mia said dully. This shocked everyone, even the dragons. Hence Sapphire and Virgo since they knew already.
"Unbelievable!" Hiccup said in awed.
"Lycanwings are real?!" Astrid exclaimed in shock.
"Impossible…" X mutters out in shock.
"No way! Does that mean you've bitten Tuffnut before and not the wolf?!" Snotlout screams terror.
"What?! Ew! I didn't bite anyone!" Mia said through their minds.
"How can we talk to us in our minds?" Hiccup asked in shock and surprise.
"It's called telepathy, Lycanwings used this ability to communicate in their dragon form." Mia explained to them.
"So…you didn't bite Tuffnut?" Astrid asked hesitantly.
"No, if I did, I would've done it by now, which I didn't!" Mia stated to them seriously. "By the way, where's the Smokebreaths that you brought?"
This caught the group off guard as they forgot about the Smokebreaths. Just then, they heard the Armorwing roar from a distance. They quickly went to Armorwing's cave and the metal dragon attacked the Smokebreaths. Those Smokebreaths immediately became attracted to its coat of armor and set their sights on tearing it apart.
"It's actually working!" Hiccup exclaimed in shock.
Then, one of the Smokebreaths went to the axe and pry it free. Seeing this, Snotlout grins as he claps his hands happily. "That's it! Bring the axe to Snotty." Once the Smokebreaths gets the axe out, it immediately flies to Snotlout's direction. But instead of bringing it to Snotlout, it takes off past him. "Hey, my axe! We had a deal, you little deal-breakers!" Snotlout chases after Smokebreath with Hookfang.
"They don't care about your deals! They only care about metal!" Mia exclaimed into his mind before she dived in and fought the Smokebreaths that were harming the Armorwing.
"We have to stop them before they remove all the metals off the Armorwing." X said to them.
"What do you mean?" Astrid asked in confusion.
"The Armorwing has no scales, that's why it needs metal to create its coat of armor."
"And the Smokebreaths think the Armorwing is one giant piece of metal. We can't let them pull its armor apart. It'll be defenseless." Hiccup said, finally realizing what X meant.
"I'll help Snotlout! You guys stop Smokebreaths from taking the metal of the Armorwing." Astrid before Stormfly took off to stop the Smokebreath that had Snotlout's axe.
"On it!" Mira said as she jumps off Sapphire and lands close to Mia, who was scaring off the Smokebreaths with her fire. "Stop!" She yells at the Smokebreaths.
Upon seeing Mira, the Smokebreaths seized their attack and landed in front of Mira, looking at her innocently. They would never attack the mermaid; she brings good luck to all dragons. Mira sighs in relief at their behavior before turning to the Armorwing, who was on the ground, weak and tired without his metal. She then turns the Smokebreaths with a scolding look.
"Look, I know you guys want metal, but not his metal. He needs it and you can't take it from him." Mira said to them gently. "We can get you all the scrap metals we have at the Edge, unless you leave the Armorwing alone, okay?"
Hearing her wager, the Smokebreaths decided to think about it. Even though the Armorwing has many metals scattered here, humans do make more metal than dragons. And they mean a lot! So, agreeing with her deal, the Smokebreaths will leave the Armorwing alone as long as they give them metal. Mira sighs in relief when the Smokebreaths nod their heads in agreement and tell the others that they were good. Soon, Astrid and Snotlout came back with the axe, and everyone told them that it was over while the Smokebreaths flew back to Breakneck Bog. But before they leave, they offer scrap metal to the Armorwing, who accepts and melts them back to its armor, thus proving that they have earned its trust. As it's nearing sundown, Snotlout flies ahead to the Island of Friga for the marriage with Hiccup, Mira, and Astrid promising to catch up. X, Stoker, and Mia went off to the Edge to get some scrap metals for the Smokebreaths and would meet back at the base. But when Snotlout arrives at the island after nightfall, he discovers the site was in complete disarray, and his father, Spitelout, is the only one present. Hiccup, Mira, and Astrid arrive moments later and offer to take the blame for his lateness. But Snotlout refuses and goes to talk to his dad, much to their shock and surprise.
"I know what you're gonna say, Dad." Snotlout began towards his father. "I messed up again. I ruined the union ceremony. And I let you down, and all the Jorgensons down. But you have no idea what I went through to get this here. I risked my life and my friends' lives fighting a gigantic torch-breathing dragon for this stupid thing. And if that's not good enough for you, then I guess I'm never going to be good enough for you! I said it! So, here is your stupid axe, and sorry about the ceremony." He finished as he held up the axe to his father's serious face.
But instead of receiving a disappointing lecture, Spitelout spoke that surprised everyone. "What in Thor are you going on about, boy-o? There's not going to be a union." He said to his son.
"Wait, what?" Snotlout asked in confusion.
"What do you mean, Spitelout?" Mira asked in confusion.
"Oh, a brawl broke out at the rehearsal dinner. It's a good thing you didn't get the axe here earlier. It would've gotten really ugly." Spitelout explains the reason.
"Yeah, the Jorgensons really annoyed the Hoffersons." Joe answered as he and his brother were sitting on top of the table, eating some foods that survived the brawl.
"Joe, Jon, how long have you two been sitting there?" Astrid asked in surprise.
"A while, it turns out they canceled the wedding because of that incident." Jon answered, giving some of his fish to Thunder.
"But nice work anyway, son. I knew I could count on you." Spitelout said to Snotlout as he hugs him, making Snotlout smile happily. As he lets go, Spitelout claps his hands together. "Whelp, if we're done here, I have 400 boars to return." He said picking up two wild boars.
"Do you need help, Spitelout?" Mira asked him.
"No need, Mira, you all should go back to the Edge, I can handle this." He said as he got on his dragon, Kingtail.
Snotlout was happy about this. "He knew he could count on me!" He said happily as Spitelout flew off, chanting, 'Spitelout, Spitelout! Oi, oi, oi!'. Soon, they all return back to the Edge with Joe and Jon as they saw X, Stoker, and Mia at the beach with Melody and Harmony. But when they arrived, they saw Mia in her human form, waiting for them.
"Woah! You can turn into a human?!" Hiccup exclaimed in shock.
"Yup, Lycanwings can turn from dragon to human at will." Mia said as she looked at them. "It's been a while since I had any human interaction. But I think it's time I give it a try since you guys are trying to stop the Dragon Hunters." She outstretches her hand. "Hi, I'm Mia."
Seeing this, Hiccup smiles and shakes her hand. "Hiccup. And these are Astrid, X, and Snotlout."
"Hey, there-" Snotlout was cut off when Mia gave a threatening glare.
"Flirt with me and you're dead." Mia threatened him.
"Noted!" Snotlout said, making everyone, hence Stoker laugh.
They all went to the clubhouse to introduce themselves to the others. Mia got a ride with Mira and Sapphire since she didn't want to spook them in her Lycanwing form. But as they got closer, they saw Tuffnut riding on Meatlug, who struggles to get him off her back.
"What in the name of Thor?" Hiccup was shocked to see this as they landed at Fishlegs's hut. "Uh, guys, what's going on?"
Tuffnut holds off Meatlug's saddle, preventing him from falling off. "Hiccup, meet the Ingerman-Thorstons. We're the model of a modern Viking family!" Tuff said proudly.
"…What?" Stoker questions the Thorston in confusion.
"We've only been gone a day! What possibly could have happened?!" Hiccup asked in shock and confusion while Snotlout smiles in amusement.
"You know, you remember how I studied with the officiator, back on Berk? While you guys were gone, I accidentally married Ruff and Fishlegs. But, despite that little snafu, we're all very happy now!" Tuff said happily before Meatlug collapsed on the ground tiredly. "Well, most of us anyway."
"Uh. Tuffnut, I hate to break it to you, but you can't perform Viking unions." Astrid told him.
"Wait, what? I can't? Are you sure?" Tuff asked her in surprise.
"Don't you remember?" Mira questions him, earning a shaking head from Tuff.
"You never completed your training because the officiator jumped off a cliff halfway through your first lesson. That was so funny." Snotlout said, laughing as she remembered the event.
"I…have no words to describe how idiotic these Thorstons are." Stoker said in annoyance.
"Oh, right, yeah. It was probably a bad idea to hold classes on the edge of a cliff. I mean, we lost a lot of good educators that way, especially the ones I pushed." Tuff said to them.
"Wait…you pushed your educators off a cliff?" X dared to ask.
Before Tuff could respond. Fishlegs appears, riding on Blech while Ruff rides on Barf. However, Belch's head fell down due to Fishlegs's weight and couldn't hold on. "Wait. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the union?" The Ingerman asked them.
"Ha. Long story." Snotlout said to Fishlegs.
"But we did find a new dragon and a new friend." Hiccup said as he gestured to Mia.
"Hey." Mia greeted with a wave.
"A new dragon and friend?! Great, I get married and no one calls me anymore!" Fishlegs whined, earning a giggle from Mia.
"Fishlegs!" The Ingerman winced as Ruff called to him. "My feet need massaging. They're getting sweaty again."
"Gross." Stoker mutters out in disgust.
"Coming, dear." Fishlegs said in fear.
Tuffnut then came over to Fishlegs. "Hey, bro-in-law, remember how I married you and Ruff? Well, it turns out that I can't marry people after all. So, presto! Union dissolved."
Fishlegs was shocked yet happy about this. "What? Oh, that's incredible! I haven't been this happy since my wedding day. My wedding day..." He suddenly trials off as he looks over to a somewhat sad Ruffnut. There was a short, awkward silence from the female Thorston before she grabs his face and nuzzles his nose, surprising Fishlegs but making him happy until she slaps him in the face.
"AAAHHH!" Fishlegs screams in surprise but soon was touched by her gesture. "Aw, my door is always open."
"And I guess you can keep the shark." Ruff said before the skin shark fell off the door.
"I am going to lose my lunch." Stoker said as he could feel that he was about to hurl.
"Fishlegs married Ruffnut. I guess anything is possible." Astrid said with a snicker.
"I guess there is a possibility." Mira said with a smile.
"Well, one thing's for certain, no Hofferson will ever marry a Jorgenson." Hiccup said, which everyone, including Astrid, agreed.
But Snotlout, on the other hand. "Never say never, right, Astrid?" He flirted.
Astrid gave him a dry look. "Never." She said dryly, making everyone laugh.
"How long is "never"?" Snotlout asked.
Review or favorite. And sorry if it wasn't good, I was losing inspiration in this story.
