A/N: Paula is the woman we see in one little flashback, the Asian woman who consoles Lori about having a fight with Rick, then she vanishes and we never see her again. What could have happened to her? Here's a plausible explanation as for what happened and where she went. Most people might not remember her since she was such a brief character.
The two female officers are the ones that pitch in to buy flowers for Rick. What happened to them?
yes, we're even going to cover the homeless guy, the poncho guy-all of em have a story to tell. this fic will probably be my longest one ever. well over 100 chapters if possible.
Also, the number one thing that annoys me about twd (if any) is that, if a walker bites your throat or neck, YOU'RE NOT GONNA SCREAM ANYMORE. Your vocal cords will be gone. You can't scream. Realism, please?
Chapter 7 Paula+Linda and Diane
Paula couldn't believe it. Folding her arms, she scolded her friend, Lori Grimes, as she talked about her fight with her husband, Rick. She'd met him a few times before, he was a good man, if a bit standoffish and quiet.
She wished she understood how the man thought more, though, he always seemed a bit moody to her, but overall, she knew he cared for his wife and son. Oh, they were like his lifeline.
Paula wanted Lori to remember exactly how much she should cherish her child and her husband. She shouldn't be doing what she was currently doing.
"You're not still doing anything with him...are you?" She asked, referring to Rick's partner.
Lori flinched, but a look of guilt came and went across her face. "It was...an accident-"
"You're still married to Rick. Tell him no means no, and never again." She urged. She knew what cheating men could be like, after all, her first husband had been like that, with all the "I'm sorries", "I swear I'll change", etc, that man Shane was just like him and she knew it.
"I-"
But then, their world changed overnight.
Rick Grimes had been shot and was in a coma.
During that time, Lori disobeyed her and continued to be involved with Shane Walsh.
And during that time, the world Paula knew disintegrated.
That was where she found herself, hiding with her child in their attic, from the things that used to be her neighbors, as they clambered stupidly around her house, looking for things.
She'd already seen the neighborhood stray dogs be ripped apart by these things, for god's sake-she just wanted to be done with this already.
A thump at the attic door confirmed that it was not done. Somehow, those things had climbed up the stairs.
The things were her next door neighbor, Bob, his wife Diane and their kids, five year old Sarah and seven year old Mike, although now little Mike and Sarah could rip apart anything with their teeth.
It was presumably Diane at the door, she thought.
Her son sprang to the door, upon hearing the "breathing" of Mike, his friend.
"Mike, we're hiding in here!" He cried.
"No!" Paula cried out.
The bangs against the old door became more forceful, until it gave way with a loud crunch.
Mike was on top of her son in seconds, ripping flesh from his neck as he screamed until his vocal cords were silenced. She watched the walkers as they ate him until Diane was on top of her and she gave in to her destiny, kicking and screaming.
Linda and Diane (unrelated to Diane as Paula's neighbor)
They'd watched each of their fellow officers turn and attack each other, one after another, until it was just them and the ever elusive Lambert.
Shane Walsh had fled a long time ago.
"How much food do you reckon we have?" Linda asked Diane as they sat in the dark room.
"Not enough to assure me I'm gonna live to see the next day." Diane said, laughing nervously.
They'd done all they could to kill these things, even so far as sweeping out the prison cells because somehow, the prisoners all became undead, too.
Diane decided she would go out to scope the area and see if there was any food left over.
However, she did not find anything else besides a walker, which grabbed her leg and bit into her.
Linda was the one who found her, and she ultimately ended her life before taking her own as well, not being willing to live without her girlfriend.
