Soooooo I have Covid which is a bitch lol My girlfriend has it too and I wish I could be getting cuddles like I wrote Raz is here, but we're long distance so I let Raz have cuddles for me lol
Also, head scratchies is what I normally say when I'm sick so I honestly figured that Raz would be the same since we have the same dorky energy. Hope y'all enjoy!
"Are you feeling any better, Raz?" My fingers scratched at his scalp as his messy and tangled auburn hair bounced slightly at the motion. The boy laying his head on my stomach only murmured in reply as he nuzzled further into what he had claimed to be his pillow.
Raz was never really one to get sick, at least from what Dion and Frazie told me. He was very much that one kid in the family that illness would skip and somehow never get ill despite the rest of the family having a stomach virus or something of the like.
So when he came home from his mission with a terrible sinus infection, I knew it would be rough on him.
I just hummed softly to myself as I decided to comb my fingers through his hair to see if I could get any of the little knots out as he tightened his arms that were wrapped around my hips.
Luckily, I was told all the little things that helped him feel better as a kid. Frazie was very adamant that I knew about Raz's love for head scratches in particular when I told her about the situation. She said something along the lines that it was his favorite form of physical comfort no matter the situation, so it should help in this one.
I heard the young agent let out a little noise as his arms loosened around me. His head doing a gentle little rub against my stomach once more as a happy hum escaped him.
Never doubt an older sister, I suppose.
"Head scratchies." I couldn't help but laugh a little as Raz's soft voice pleaded with me.
"Alright, alright." I decided to not tease the boy for once as I finished combing through another knot in his hair. "You need to brush your hair more often though. It's a rat's nest in here."
"Perfect for Harold." His voice was gentle as it was obvious he didn't have all too much energy in his system. "God, I feel terrible."
"Did you get a check-up before coming in here and laying on me?" I smirked just a little as I knew his cheeks would be bright red if they weren't hidden by him burying himself in my stomach. "Did they give you any meds or anything?"
"They said to just take some antibiotics and see what happens so I did and now am here." Raz started to grumble a little as he continued. "Hate medicine. Big pills are not Raz friendly. Taste terrible. Sucks."
"Yep seems you have lost more brain cells than normal." I laughed a little to myself as Raz picked up his head for a split second to stick his tongue out at me before laying his head on my stomach again.
"Shush. Head scratchies."
"Alright, alright." I smiled softly as I scratched at his scalp once more. He lifted his head up just a tad like a cat when they start getting petted before laying his head down and giving a small happy hum once more. "That better, snappy?"
"Much." I could tell by the tone of his voice that he had a wide grin on his face as I continued to scratch at his head.
Through sickness and in health.
The words leap out at me more than anything at this moment as I look down at the sniffling sixteen-year-old who has been my partner in crime for the past five years.
No wonder why it's just a big thing in vows and marriages.
I smiled gently as I saw that Raz was kicking his feet back and forth in the air as his legs were bent at the knee. A very joyful aura came from him as if he was not suffering from was he called 'an elephant pushing down on his sinuses'. It was honestly the cutest sight that I've ever seen.
Because I wouldn't mind being for him like this again for the rest of my life.
