Alex ran a hand through his messy black hair and yawned. The heat was getting to him. His dark eyes stared at the ceiling and then it hit him.

Too many people were out playing, or swimming in the ocean… nearly everyone but him and of course Jamie, who would never be caught dead doing anything remotely fun. Alex stood up and decided then… he would do something healthy to occupy his boredom.

"Martha… I'm heading out for a walk."

"Okay, dearie," she replied sweetly from another room.

Alex opened the door and to his surprise saw someone walking up the dirt street to the Clinic. He squinted his eyes and made out messy red hair. He ran forward.

"Nami?" he called out.

A faint moan was heard, as the figure in the slight distance looked up then collapsed.

"Nami!" he called again, running faster to the collapsed young lady.

As Alex approached Nami she faintly moved, before becoming still.

Her face was flushed and she looked exhausted. Her eyes closed in pain as she coughed. Alex then, abruptly, kneeled down and lifted her into his arms. Alex began walking quickly with Nami back to the Clinic, trying to save her from completely passing out.

The two reached the Clinic and Alex immediately placed her on a bed and called for Martha.

The blue haired women scuttled into the room and saw Nami on the bed. "Oh my word," she whispered, peering through her glasses. "I'll get the dear some water, Alex."

Alex nodded and looked down at Nami. He felt a warm hand creep into his as Nami's eyes opened slightly. "Don't leave me…"

"Never," he whispered. "Martha, bring a towel as well."

And Alex knelt beside the bed and rubbed Nami's head, trying to comfort the wandering weather caster, staying by her side until evening when she was feeling better and could leave the Clinic, despite his protest.
