"Wait," Xavier says incredulously. "We were called here because of Kuzuhamon: Miko Mode?" The creature before them sits peacefully, an almost mournful look on her face as she tries again and again to cast out her own evil spirits, though it doesn't quite work for her, the evil within lingering. "She's not even doing anything, like attacking a village, or-"

"Xavier, look closer," Shane says quietly and everyone looks at him before gazing closer at the digimon. She is not quite looking at them, but it's clear the more she tries to purify things around her, the less it works on the darkness within her. "I think... we were called here because she wants us to rid her of the evil within."

Xavier bites his lip as he stares into the poor creature's eyes, seeing with a sad kind of realization that Shane is correct. "How do we do that?" he wonders softly, not wanting to kill her but needing to see an end to her struggles.

"Actual purification requires us using our digivices and can take time," Shinsuke says slowly. "We could delete her, but it hardly seems necessary right now." So they all pull out their digivices and Shinsuke aims his at her, narrowing his eyes as he focuses on cleansing her with the pure power of their digivices.

Some get it, others don't, the power however seems to be enough to strengthen her, ease along her purification efforts. It feels like it takes forever and Xavier and a couple of the other newer digidestined start to waver under the effort... just for there to be a blinding flash of light and then Kuzuhamon: Miko Mode stands before them, tall and beautiful, glowing in the mid-afternoon sun. She looks them all over, bowing gracefully, before darting here and there and kissing Shane McMahon on the forehead. She disappears entirely then and the Digidestined exchange bemused glances before turning to head home.

Except that none of the Digivices seem to work. "Wait, what?" Shinsuke mumbles, trying again and again, growing more and more frusterated every time the portal fails to engage at his command. He casts troubled eyes on the others for a moment before turning and storming off to Luke's for answers.

After a few, troubled glances back, the others all follow suit.
