Zelda was in a foul mood after the incident. She seemed sulky and irritable, so much so that Mist felt the need to give out some sisterly advice.

"They looked really happy together." She said brightly. "Someday you'll find someone too."

Zelda chuckled doubtfully. "Someone like Link? Doubt it."

"Who is he, anyway?" Mist asked.

"A hero." Zelda said, her voice bitter. "The best there is."

"Like Ike?"

"He's better than Ike."

Mist raised an eyebrow. Zelda quickly amended her statement.

"I'm not exaggerating." Zelda said. "Link is the ideal… the perfect man. I mean, you saw him. You could tell, couldn't you?"

Mist decided it was time to change the subject.

"And Lucina? What do you think of her?"

Zelda sighed. She looked gloomy. "She's a great friend." She said. "And has suffered more than most. I really… admire her."

"You should be happy for them." Mist said gently.

"I know." Zelda said. "But Link and I…?" She twirled her hair with her finger. "We have a… uh, bit of a history."

"Do you?" Mist asked, probing for a more thorough investigation. But before they could continue a very tiny, star shaped creature descended upon their heads. Mist started, surprised, as it spun in a circle.

"Excuse me!" The thing cried. "Are you Mist?"

"Why… yes!" Mist said, surprised.

The thing gave another spin.

"I'm Luma!" It said. "Princess Peach asked me to find you… It's very important!"

"The Princess wants to see me?" Mist asked, surprised. Although she was no stranger to royalty, it had always been Ike or Elincia that had dealt with the leaders of other nations. She had always been, at most, a casual observer. She dearly wished that she had Elincia here with her.

"Important?" Zelda asked shrewdly, staring up at Luma suspiciously. "How so?"

"Very, very important!" The Luma said, bobbing up and down. Now that Mist had gotten over her surprise, she found the creature surprisingly cute. "Follow me!"

And with that it bounced off, up and down through the air, leaving little sparkles in its wake. Mist turned to look at Zelda, confused.

"She didn't invite me." Zelda said. "So I guess she wants to see you alone. I'll wait for you here… alright?"

"O-okay…."

The Luma stopped, turned around, and waved frantically at her. Biting down her nervousness, Mist parted from Zelda and made her way across the hall. The laughter and chatter from the crowd became distant as Mist climbed the stairs and entered the door that Daisy had come through to give her speech.

She found herself in a giant, somewhat empty hallway. Daisy, who had changed back into her practical, sporty outfit, was conversing with a tall, blonde woman with a single bang over her eye. Mist barely had time to wonder whether this was Princess Peach before the Luma soared straight past them towards the end of the hallway.

Mist let herself grow increasingly nervous as she was lead to the end of the hallway, into another large chamber. The Luma drifted to the side, and Mist found herself in front of a small side door. Luma came to a stop and bounced upside down.

"Please enter!" It said, bowing its head.

Mist thanked it as she reached for the door and pulled the handle.

The room was a bright, beautiful pink. From top to bottom Mist could make out nothing but pink drapes, pink furniture, and pink adornments. So much so that the vast person she noticed when walking into the room was Samus Aran, sitting uncomfortably on a chair that looked much too small for her.

"Oh-"

The woman she was sitting with, who was as bright pink as the room they were in, stood up. She smiled warmly at Mist and held out a beautiful gloved hand.

"Hello." She said. "I am Princess Peach… forgive me for calling you here like this, Mist. But we were just discussing the wedding, and I thought it prudent to ask you to join us."

"Oh… the wedding!" Mist said, as she looked at Samus. "So you were-"

"Planning it, yes!" Peach said, gushing. "We thought that you would be a major help, seeing as you as Ike's sister and all."

"Of course!" Mist said immediately. "I would… be happy to help!" She frowned. "But… I thought the wedding was already being planned…?"

Samus sighed, shaking her head. Peach laughed.

"Well, Samus and Ike wanted to have a small celebration." She said. "And come visit you after the fact. It was I, in fact, who convinced them to have their wedding on Tellius. Samus has no family, you see, and Ike disliked the idea of making the wedding such a big event. Still, though, I managed to convince him that you and your friends would want to be there for him on his special day, so he agreed."

Mist nodded.

"But…" Peach said. "We have run into a number of little snags. A couple of things that we could not have foreseen. And I was hoping that you might be able to help us with them."

"I'll do whatever I can." Mist said. "But what is it that you want?"

Peach looked to Samus pointedly. She sighed.

"First of all." She said. "He and I haven't decided on a proper location. We have had discussions, of course. But Ike is a well traveled man and has strong ties to virtually every nation on the continent. To him picking one location, and one nation alone, is intolerable. They remind him of nothing but the wars he has fought, no matter his feelings to them."

She spoke matter of factly.

"Secondly." She said. "We have not chosen a best man. We had one very specific candidate in mind, but we cannot find him. Ike was very specific about who he wanted, and I will not stand to not have this person there."

"Who is it?" Mist asked, a little timidly.

"His name is Soren." Samus said. "That is all I know."

Mist stared.

"Ike wants Soren to…" She shook her head. "But we haven't seen him in years!" She protested. "No one has any idea where he is… he disappeared after Ike did! We thought they were together, but…"

"We've been told." Samus said, sounding tired. "Meanwhile Ike thought he had remained as your Tactician. It's very important to Ike that we find this man."

Mist crossed her arms.

"Soren was very close to Ike." She said. "He was closer to him than any of us, for certain…" Her face brightened. "Once he hears that Ike is getting married, he's going to want to come!"

"If he's still alive." Samus said darkly. "Which, from what I understand, may be possible."

Mist's smile faded.

"You don't know that for sure." Peach admonished her. "This is why I called you here, Mist… I have a little mission for you. I want you to help Samus try and find Soren."

"To find…"

"Samus is an expert at finding things." Peach went on. "But she has no idea who Soren is or what he looks like. If you help her, it may give her a lead." She smiled. "Finding him would make Ike very happy." She said. "He's always talking about you, his little sister, and his tactician."

Samus nodded. Mist bit her lip.

"I'm not sure how much help I'll be." She confessed. "But I'll… I'll do whatever I can." She looked hopelessly at Samus.

"But he could be anywhere." She said. "He could be Begnion or Crimea or Daein… Or even where you all came from, I suppose…"

"That." Samus said. "Is very doubtful. Which narrows our search somewhat. He is definitely on the continent. Where, however… is a mystery."

Mist bit her tongue. Of course he was on the continent, where else he would he be?

"I've spoken with Shulk." Peach said. "And he says you will accomplish your task, although he can't say as to how…"

"Shulk?" Mist repeated, confused.

"One of ours." Samus said. "He can see the future."

'He… what?"

"Shulk." Peach repeated. "And the rest of the Super Smash Brothers will do anything they can to help you accomplish this task. You merely have to say the word, and I will do anything in my power to help you."

"You are very kind." Mist said.

Samus got to her feet.

"Let's get started." She said. Mist gave a start, surprised.

"Now?"

Samus put a hand on her hip. "Of course." She said. "Did you think we were going to wait tomorrow?"

"Well… yes." She said, alarmed. "I need to speak to my husband and-"

"It is kind of a sudden request, Samus." Peach said, amused. "It's not going to be the end of the world if you wait until tomorrow."

"Well…" Mist said slowly. "It might not be a bad idea to ask everyone what they think. Lots of our friends from all over the country are here already. It might be a good idea to speak with them…"

Peach clapped her hands joyfully. "Excellent." She said. "I've been meaning to make friends here since I arrived… Queen Elincia is here, yes? Perhaps she would be willing to accept a belated invitation to my little party?

The Luma bobbed its head, and Peach smiled and nodded at it. It flew towards the open window and out of sight.

"Elincia would be a good start." Mist said. "But I know Ranulf and Lethe from Gallia are here already as well… and Micaiah of Daein is on her way. I haven't heard about Sanaki, but I'm sure she must be making preparations to leave at any rate."

"I will meet with Elincia tonight." Peach promised. "Care to join us, Mist?"

Mist bowed. "I would be honored."

Peach turned to Samus. "Have all of your guests turned up yet?"

Samus shrugged. "I think so. Hard to say. Ken and Eliza have been here a while, but I haven't even seen them."

Peach clicked her tongue. "Really?"

Little Lucina had spent what felt like some of the best hours in her life playing with both old and new friends. By the time it was getting dark, however, she felt that it was high time that she ought to be getting back.

"Do you have to go?" One of Mist's children whined. Lucina smiled pleasantly.

"Tonight, yes." She said. "But tomorrow… we'll play again! I promise!"

She, Young Link, and Marcus all waved until they were out of sight.

"I don't think I've ever had so much fun." Marcus said brightly. Little Lucina nodded happily.

"It's been a long time." Young Link admitted. He looked more tired than all of them, but somehow seemed the most happy. Lucina stared at him, her heart fluttering in her chest.

"Where do you guys want to meet tomorrow?" Marcus asked. "We can walk back together…"

"Tomorrow we should invite Ness and the others." Young Link said.

Marcus' brow furrowed.

"If we have too many people… that could ruin it." He said. "Dad always says that he would never fly with more than three other people."

"Father says we should try and make as many friends as possible." Lucina said. "I think we should at least ask."

"We'll only all be together for a short while, Marcus." Link said. "We can all split up and do our own thing if we want."

Two grown people were coming down the road towards them. It took Lucina a while to recognize them.

"Oh… Aunt Lucina!"

Lucina blinked, surprised, as the little girl ran up to her. Her worried expression melted into a wide smile as she bent over.

"Hello there." She said warmly. "Dear me, look at how you've grown!"

Young Link came up from behind her, eyeing Link with a piercing gaze. Link laughed, a little awkwardly.

"Hey, kid." He said. "Fancy running into you here."

"I see you've been busy." Young Link said, his eyes flickering over Lucina.

"You're here for the wedding too?" Little Lucina gushed, wrapping her fingers around Lucina's hand. "I'm so excited, I've never been to one before!"

"I'm excited too!" Lucina said. "Samus and Ike getting married… I would never have guessed it."

"Are you going to get married someday, Auntie?" Little Lucina asked innocently, her eyes staring up at her. Lucina fell silent. There was an awkward silence.

"She will." Link said, smiling, wrapping his arm around her. "To someone who loves her a lot."

Lucina turned a bright red and turned away. Little Lucina smiled widely.

"Listen…" Lucina said hastily, seemingly anxious to change the subject. "We're looking for your father… can you lead us to him?"

"Sure!" Lucina said. "He'll be happy to see you…"

Link smiled widely and turned his eye back on Young Link.

"I'll be seeing you around?"

"Yes." Young Link said quietly. "You will."

He gestured to Marcus, and the two of them went on ahead, through the trees. Little Lucina stood smiling at Lucina and Link.

"Why do you want to see Father, anyway?"

"It's very important." Lucina said.

"And very secret." Link added. Lucina pouted.

"We'll tell you after we tell him." Link promised her. "Okay?"

"Okay…"
