Chapter 85: Amalie (Part 2)

(No-Name's POV)

I hear a scream coming from a funeral on New Berk.

It's a scream I've come to familiarize myself with over the past several years – Becky's scream.

With one look to my crew mates, we run to where a funeral is taking place...we had heard it was Eret's little sister, Amalie...we didn't believe the rumors to be true, so we stayed where we were, not wanting to pry.

Becky's biological father, Loki, the god of mischief, is there, doing what he can to comfort his daughter and son-in-law.

Eret looks up with tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Mates..."

"No...not Amalie." I start.

With one swift nod from Eret, our world ends...Amalie was like a sister to us as well.

I look to Eret's wife – the world he and the rest of us are so afraid of losing. I can tell that she's wishing it were her that were dead, instead of Amalie.

What all of us wouldn't give to replace that guilt...with love.
