Chapter 2: Kaguya Shinomiya Wants to Be the Girl U Want

"Good morning, Shinomiya."

Good mornings! A formality used across the world to start another person's day on a good note! Normally, Kaguya Shinomiya would reciprocate the sentiment without thought, but on this morning, the person wishing her a good morning was none other than Miyuki Shirogane, president of the student council and romantic rival of Kaguya!

'I can't just wish him a good morning right away, otherwise he might get the wrong idea!' Kaguya thought, 'but I can't just not reply! Otherwise, he would think I'm completely disinterested in him, and he would be less likely to confess to me!'

"Ah, hello President. I didn't notice you were here. Good morning to you too." Kaguya replied.

She chooses to be dismissive! By pretending that she didn't notice him, she crushes the idea that she was solely expressing interest in her reaction, but also not expressing complete and total disinterest! A strategy that feigns ignorance, making sure to be both defensive and offensive at the same time! Now she awaits his response…

"What are you doing in this part of the school?" Shirogane asks, "If I remember correctly, your first class is on the opposite side of school."

"Well, I was asked by Principal Pescaloro to get some papers this morning. I ran into him, and since I'm a member of the Student Council, he trusts me to do it," Kaguya explained.

She is lying! She altered her path specifically this morning in order to see Shirogane! The reason: Hayasaka claimed she couldn't even bring herself to interact with Shirogane outside of the Student Council room last night! While she told Hayasaka that she didn't have a crush on Shirogane, therefore it didn't matter, in actuality her maid's remarks deeply affected her! This prompted her to concoct a plan to talk to Shirogane outside of the Student Council room for no reason but to spite Hayasaka!

'Ha! If only Hayasaka could see me now! I'm making small talk with the President outside of the Student Council room! Not that it matters, after all, I'm just slowly breaking down his will even more. Soon he will confess his feelings to me, and maybe I'll consider dating him, just to rub it in to Hayasaka even more!' Kaguya thought to herself.

The only person this girl is fooling is herself.

"Well, class is about to start, so I best be going," Shirogane said, snapping Kaguya back to the present. "I trust I'll see you this afternoon at the Student Council meeting."

"Of course, President," Kaguya replied.

The lovestruck duo turn and go their separate ways.

While this is happening, something bizarre is occurring in the Student Council room. The window is slowly opened by something outside. A humanoid figure with strange rabbit-like protrusions coming from the top of its head climbs through the opening, carrying a strange object that appears to be an arm. It gingerly sets the arm down on the desk, then exits the room through the window, shutting it on its way out.

Kaguya was walking down the long corridor that leads to the Shuchiin Student Council room when she heard a scream.

'That sounds like Iino!' she thought, beginning to run down the hall, intent on saving the first-year from whatever was going on in there. Kaguya hoped it was just Yu Ishigami or Chika Fujiwara who caused the girl to scream, hoping that nothing terrible was happening. All day long she had felt an awful feeling deep within her gut, feeling as if something was terribly wrong in the world today. She desperately hoped she was wrong.

Kaguya bolted towards the door, stopping to push it open. As she saw what was happening in the almost empty room, her heart dropped. Miko Iino was cowering in a corner, trying to get a hold of herself. But the centerpiece of the gruesome discovery was what looked to be a decayed human arm sitting on the President's desk.

"Iino! What's happened here!?" Kaguya questioned, trying to gain hold of the situation.

"I-I don't k-know!" Miko stammered.

Kaguya didn't know what to think. She put her hand to her cheek, calming herself down instantly. That's when it hit her, and she began to laugh.

"Of course. It's just a silly prank by Fujiwara to scare us. I'm surprised you still fall for such childish jokes, Iino," Kaguya chastised. Miko looked from the arm on the desk, to Kaguya, back to the arm, and began to visibly calm down.

"Right, of course, Fujiwara-senpai is always playing jokes. That prop looks so lifelike, I wonder where she got it?" Miko said, standing up and moving towards Kaguya.

"Well, I suppose I better move this somewhere else. We wouldn't want anyone getting distracted from their work," Kaguya said, moving towards the arm. As she approached, she could feel a menacing aura emanating from it, but chose to ignore it. She stretched out her arm to pick it up, and just barely touched it before recoiling as if shocked.

"What is it Shinomiya?" Miko asked.

Kaguya stood still for a moment. And suddenly, she puked. After finishing, she fell backwards, passing out on the floor.

Kaguya opened her eyes. Above her was a single bright light shining directly into her eyes. She sat up, and quickly realized where she was. She was in the Shuchiin nurse's office. Kaguya was no stranger to this place, seeing as how she had heart problems inherited from her mother that caused bouts of extreme sickness. 'The nurse has most likely already called the Shinomiya household, and someone is presumably on the way to pick me up' Kaguya thought.

With that thought, she paused. Kaguya realized she felt fine. Normally, when sick, Kaguya could barely move or think straight, but here she was, forming complex thoughts and sitting straight up in the school's nursing beds.

'Oh well' she thought, 'even if I was in better shape than ever before, Hayasaka will most likely hold me at the house for a day or two to make sure I'm fine. I can't blame her in this case. After the episode I just had, I would do the same given her position.'

At that moment, the school nurse came back, followed by Kaguya's chauffeur. "Ah, Ms. Shinomiya, I see you are awake. You had quite the nasty accident, so your chauffeur is here to take you home," the nurse told her.

"Thank you," Kaguya told her.

"Shall we Ms. Shinomiya?" the chauffeur asked, while gesturing towards the door.

Kaguya silently stood from the bed, and followed the chauffeur out of Shuchiin and back to the car used to ferry Kaguya around Tokyo.

Suddenly, a strange man jumped out from behind the car. The man stood at about 195 cm, wore a white hat, trench coat, and pants with a dark purple sweater and green collared shirt underneath the coat. Before Kaguya's chauffeur could yell at the stranger, a purple arm appeared from behind him, punching the chauffeur and knocking him out.

"W-what do you want? I-is it money? I can give you some if you just leave me alone!" Kaguya shouted at the stranger.

The stranger stopped. Suddenly a purple being with long black hair and white shoulder guards and loincloth manifested behind him.

"You can see it can't you?" the stranger asked.

"Yes…" Kaguya answered, completely unsure of how to approach the situation.

"Good. Then I didn't knock out some random guy for nothing." The stranger said matter-of-factly, while the ghostly figure behind him moved forward, clearly aiming to punch Kaguya.

Kaguya instinctively covered her face to defend against the attack, and at that very moment, something manifested in front of her to block the attack for Kaguya. What manifested was a robotic looking humanoid, covered in a heart motif. The being was mainly red, with hot pink and black highlights. Most notably, the thing had two points on it's plated head with two thin black lines across both, mimicking Kaguya's ribbon she wore in her hair.

"Alright. You've activated it. Good," the stranger said, as his ghost slowly dissipated.

Kaguya's dissipated as well, and she slowly looked up, looking the stranger in the eyes. "Could you please explain to me what is going on!?" she said in a panicked voice.

"My name is Jotaro Kujo," the man began to explain, "and what you just saw was a stand. More specifically, you saw my stand, and then you manifested your own. I sensed a stand user nearby, and I hoped to find one of my compatriots, but instead I found you. So, I must ask… how did you become a stand user?"

"I-I don't know. Before all of this, I was in the nurse's office because I had gotten sick…" Kaguya relayed, confused by what was going on.

"What did you before you got sick?" Jotaro pressed.

"I touched a fake mummified arm a friend of mine had used to play a trick on the Student Council," Kaguya answered.

"That explains it," Jotaro sighed, "who would have thought that damn corpse could create stand users too. I'll need to find Josuke and the others quickly, I don't know how much time we have."

Kaguya gasped. "You're telling me that arm was real!?"

"Unfortunately, yes. Anyways, I have to go. If you see anyone else who has a stand, or if anyone sees your stand, you need to find me and tell me immediately. If more stand users keep popping up, we could be in some very deep shit," Jotaro told her, looking her in the eye.

'This guy really has no shame, huh?' Kaguya thought, 'he should feel at least a little guilty over what he's done here today.'

Suddenly, Jotaro's demeanor changed entirely. "I'm very sorry, miss-?"

"Shinomiya. Kaguya Shinomiya."

"I'm very sorry, Ms. Shinomiya. I don't know why, but I suddenly feel a little guilty over all this. Becoming a stand user can be very tough. I don't have anywhere to stay right now, so if you'll allow me, I will bring you home and we can discuss my theory as to how this happened," Jotaro said very apologetically.

'That's strange,' Kaguya pondered, 'I thought he should be ashamed, and now here he is, acting all ashamed. Maybe I should test this a little more.' She looked him directly in the eyes again. 'Alright, he's a stoic looking guy. A good test would be to make him sad, as I'll bet he would never outwardly show emotion like that. Become sad.'

Jotaro stood motionless for a moment, and then suddenly began bawling, and though he was barely coherent, Kaguya did catch mention of a 'Kakyoin', an 'Iggy', an 'Avdol', and a 'Dio'.

"How cute," Kaguya chuckled.

Then, just as quickly as it came, Jotaro snapped out of it. He looked at Kaguya, this time avoiding eye contact, and simply said, "I think I've figured out your stand ability. Maybe you could help us."

After a long car ride to her estate, Kaguya gave Jotaro an answer.

"Yes, I will help you as much as I can. As difficult as all this is to believe, after what I've witnessed today, I don't think I have much of a choice but to believe all of this," Kaguya said, "who would've guessed that alternate dimensions really do exist."

"I appreciate it, Kaguya," Jotaro said, "I didn't want to drag anyone in to this, but without knowing where any of my compatriots are, it's a little hard to get started. Anyways, I need to find and try and figure out how these corpse parts work. Where was the one that gave you your stand?"

That's when it dawned on Kaguya. She looked at Jotaro in horror. "It's still in the Student Council room."
