"This is not going to end well," Miz mumbles, looking over his shoulder as AJ Styles trudges along behind him, Zack and Dolph off to the side, arguing amongst themselves as they walk, their partners trying to distract them, break up the argument.

"Doesn't look like it, no," Monodramon sighs, eyes widening when Dolph's voice rises until he's just shy of shouting. "Yikes."

Yikes is right, Mike thinks, wishing not for the first time that the roster split would be enforced again. But then, if the Smackdown people hadn't been allowed over this week, there would've only been three of them to run a quick scan of the Digiworld, since Seth is away this week. He sighs, shaking his head. "Excuse me!" he finally snaps and both men cease. "If you haven't noticed, we are in the Digital World, where there are thousands of digimon eager to see us all make a mistake and kill us off. If you two could stop arguing for a minute, before we can get to this dot right here," he holds his digivice up and allows them both to look at the mark there, just a few feet away from where they're standing, before putting his hand back down at his side.

Dolph looks like he wants to continue argue, maybe drag Mike into it too, but Zack bites his lip, immediately slumping. "We'll finish this later, bro," he tells the other man, shaking his head roughly before walking off, Patamon flapping desperately before claiming his usual place atop Zack's head, Dolph watching with a frustrated look on his face before continuing along, Impmon at his side, quiet and careful as they head closer to the dot.

They're almost there when two things happen at once. Something rough and heavy barrels into Mike, almost sending him flying backwards, and he realizes that the dot they'd been heading towards has faded away entirely. He curses, looking up from his digivice to watch as a Digimon collapses back onto the ground after slamming into his legs, Mike gritting his teeth against the feeling of scrapes along his knees down to his feet, staring at the Insekimon in confusion.

"My village," the white creature wails, tears dripping down its rock-like face. "It's been wiped out- everything's gone-"

Mike feels ill, all of a sudden, the sudden absence on his map making sense. He kneels by Insekimon, forgetting his own injuries and discomfort. "Who did this?" he demands, resting a hand lightly on the creature's head and waiting for an answer, but the poor thing only cries harder, shaking his head.

"I didn't see," he wails. "I woke up to fire, and the next thing I knew, I was running outside, trying to find my friends- my family- but I... I think I was caught in an explosion and thrown clear of the village, but I couldn't move, could only lay there and watch as everything was burnt- everyone was deleted..." He collapses back at this, sobbing even harder, and Mike bites his lip, shaking his head.

"We're gonna need to go explore, try to figure this out," he tells them. "I doubt whatever digimon did this will stop with just the one village."

"Yeah, probably not," Zack says grimly, Patamon trying to sooth Insekimon as they whisper amongst themselves. "We should move quick, bro."

"I agree," Dolph says, Mike nodding grimly.

"Well, let's get this show on the road then," AJ urges them, adjusting his hold on his digivice as they all silently prepare to figure out what's happened, make sure what happened to poor Insekimon would never happen to another innocent digimon.
