Chapter 13 -
Harry was currently sat on his bed, reading a new book that Ororo had gotten for him. He was alone at the moment since Laura had decided to go outside with Jean and play with Felix. Harry's peaceful reading time was interrupted by a knock on his window, he looked up and saw a brown owl knocking on his window, it had some letters tied to his feet.
Harry's eyes widened as he remembered Dr Strange telling him that the wizards liked to communicate using owls, it was possible that these could be letters from a magical school. He put his book down and quickly got up, he opened the window and let the owl inside. It landed on his desk.
"Um...I don't have any food for you, wait here." Harry said before he grabbed Felix's water bowl and filled it with water and placed it next to the owl before he took the letters from the owl.
"Hoot." The owl nodded in thanks before he began drinking the water.
Harry was a bit surprised by that, but he was also surprised when he saw that the owl had not delivered two letters, but three.
Professor Dumbledore arrived outside of Xavier's school, he was dressed in a green suit, a far cry from the usual bright robes he preferred to wear, yet not perfectly subtle either. His long white hair and beard didn't help much. With him was Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall who he had brought with him in case there were any problems. Also along with him was Madam Pomfrey, the school nurse who he had brought with him to inspect the health of the Potters.
Professor Minerva McGonagall, the deputy headmistress, head of Gryffindor house and transfigurations Professor, usually preferred to wear green witches robes and a witch's hat but this time she was wearing a grey muggle businesswoman suit. While she wasn't as old as Professor Dumbledore, she was still in her sixties. She had been very insistent on coming, she wanted to meet the two Potter children, having known their parents very well. Naturally she assumed that the two would go into her house, Gryffindor, just like their parents.
Next to her was Madam Pomfrey, who was not wearing her usual school nurse uniform, which looked severely out of date by today's standards, and had opted to go for a business suit like Minerva had. She was only a year or two younger than the strict transfigurations Professor.
Then there was the youngest of the three, Professor Severus Snape, the teacher of potions and head of Slytherin house. He was a thin man with sallow skin, a large, hooked nose and yellow, uneven teeth. He usually dressed in flowing black robes which made him resemble an overgrown bat. He had shoulder-length, greasy black hair which framed his face in curtains, curling lips and dark, penetrating eyes that resembled tunnels. Though right now he was simply wearing an all-black suit, the other Professor's had given up on the idea of making him wear something that wasn't black, the best that they ever got was white trim on his clothes.
Why was Professor Snape here? It was simply because Professor Dumbledore had 'very kindly asked' for him to be, truthfully he never wanted to come to someplace as uncivilised as America, nor did he want to waste any of his valuable time on the spawn of James Potter. If there was one person that Severus Snape truly hated then it was James Potter, the boy who had tormented him at school and the man who had married the one woman Severus Snape had ever wanted. She was so beautiful, her perfect red hair and green eyes, hmm...maybe the daughter would look like Lily. He threw away that thought as he remembered that she apparently had brown hair and eyes, just like her pig of a father. Stupid Potter.
"This is certainly a large school." Professor McGonagall commented as she looked at the school. Professor Snape sniffed but did not say anything, in his mind the little brats were probably happily being cared for and spoilt beyond measure whilst in that house. "Are you sure that the Potter's live in here?" She asked Professor Dumbledore.
"I am a hundred per cent sure, Minerva." Professor Dumbledore nodded before he waved his wand, the gates automatically opened and he began walking inside with Professor McGonagall, Snape and Madam Pomfrey following, though the two women did give him a look of disapproval for the way he entered. The four walked past several children, they got a few odd looks but were mostly ignored.
Once they had gotten inside they looked around and saw that the place looked just as nice on the inside, there were no children around, so they assumed most of them were outside or in a class.
"But Felix is cuter than those cats." They heard a voice say.
The trio watched as two young girls came out of a door and began walking, apparently having not noticed the trio of Professors. Both girls were wearing blue jeans, the one with red hair was wearing a green shirt while the brown haired one had a white shirt on and was holding a cat in her arms. Snape had briefly paused when he saw the green eyed, red hair girl. She didn't look anything like Lily had but the similarities were there.
The four walked up to the girls who stopped when they had noticed the four.
"Hello," Professor Dumbledore greeted them. "we are looking for Harry and Laura Potter, can either of you two possibly show us where they are?"
"Why do you want to know?" Laura asked, for some reason she didn't feel totally comfortable around these people.
"We're here to offer them a place in our school." Professor McGonagall replied.
"I think you should talk to Professor Xavier first," Jean said before she suddenly frowned. "who let you in?" She asked, not seeing any of the other Professor's with them.
"We let ourselves in," Dumbledore replied. "I..."
"You came in without permission?" Jean gaped at them.
"Look girl, just tell us where the Potter brats are." Snape said as he stared at her eyes.
"Don't call them brats!" Jean said in an angry voice. "And..." She paused when she felt something in her mind, she quickly batted the probe away before she glared at Snape. "Stay out of my mind!" She shouted, Severus found himself pushed back several feet and landing on his butt. The two female Professor's moved to help him but he quickly got up and glared at the girl as he drew his wand.
"You little brat!" He snarled. Felix did not appreciate the way the greasy one was treating his human's friend, he leaped out of Laura's arms and charged towards Snape before he pushed his claws into Snape's leg. "Aargh! Get of me!" He waved his wand and Felix was sent flying back and landed hard in front of Laura.
"Felix!" Laura cried as she kneeled down and checked if Felix was okay, once she confirmed that he was, rage overtook her, this greasy asshole harmed her cat.
Both sets of claws in her hands popped out, surprising the four adults. She roared and charged at Snape before she leaped towards him, within a second she was a foot away from him. Snape, who was surprised by the girl's speed, reacted and sent her flying back with a blasting spell, unfortunately he overpowered it and she was sent flying back and crashed against a wall. Laura let out a small cry when she crashed against the wall, she managed to land on her feet and glared at Snape.
"You shouldn't have done that!" She growled.
"Now listen," Dumbledore began. "I..." Whatever he was about to say was cut off by the sound of a loud and animalistic roar, the four adults looked around, wondering if there was some beast inside the building. A second later the owner of the roar jumped off the stair railings of the second floor and was heading down towards them as fast as gravity would pull him.
Dumbledore quickly reacted and used his wand to hold whoever it was in the air, his eyes along with the other Professor's widened as they looked at the new arrival. It was most definitely Harry Potter, but he was not what Dumbledore expected him to look like, nor was he what any of the other professors expected.
He was healthy looking, dressed in black trainers, blue jeans, a green shirt under a grey hoodie. They recognised that he was Harry Potter thanks to two things, the first being his face which reminded them a lot of James Potter's face, and the second being those emerald eyes that they immediately recognised as Lily Potter's. Though the spiky and short hair was not something that he had gotten from either of his parents.
"My goodness," Professor McGonagall gasped. "Mr Potter?" She asked.
Harry didn't respond, instead his mind was in overdrive while he was suspended in the air, his eyes looked around and he saw Felix lying on his side while Laura was leaning against a wall, he couldn't help but notice a small dent in the wall behind Laura.
"Harry!" Jean screamed before pointing to Snape. "He tried to read my mind and he hurt Felix and blasted Laura!"
Harry growled as his green eyes narrowed and locked onto Snape, Harry's anger got worse when he saw the greasy haired man sneer at him. Harry let out a roar just as a magical wave shot out of his body, pushing the Professor's back while also freeing him from Professor Dumbledore's grip. Harry fell downwards and landed on his feet, if the Professors were impressed at how Harry managed to fall from such a great height without hurting himself then they weren't given enough time to show it as Harry's metal claws came out from his hands at that exact moment.
Harry charged towards Snape, unfortunately for Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey, they were in his way. Harry's claws left big cuts in Madam Pomfrey's left leg and Professor McGonagall's right legs, sending both women to the floor. Harry didn't pay them anymore attention and charged towards Snape, the greasy haired Professor fired a spell at Harry but the young mutant dodged it before he jumped forward and tackled Snape to the ground.
With his left hand he grabbed Snape's wand and snapped it while his right hand shoved three metal claws into Snape's shoulder. Snape cried out in pain, screaming in agony, Harry roared in his face before he pulled his claws out. Harry wasn't able to do anything else before he was hit in the side with a spell which knocked him off of Snape. Harry growled and looked at the old man who was aiming his wand at him.
Dumbledore blinked in surprise, his stunner wasn't at full power since he didn't want to harm Harry, but it still should have been able to easily knock him out. Dumbledore fired another stunner, this time Harry saw it coming and instinctively tried to bat it away with his claws, at that moment something odd happened.
Harry felt his bones tingle as the spell looked like it was absorbed into the metal, Harry instinctively aimed his right hand at Dumbledore and a second later a blast shot out from the tips of his claws, Dumbledore looked shock but was able to get up a shield in time to block the attack. Once his shield was down he noticed Harry charge at him, Dumbledore fired a binding spell at Harry but this time the young mutant dodged the attack, Dumbledore fired another spell which was dodged, he was beginning to get quite scared since the speed that Harry was moving at was most definitely too fast for someone of his age.
Harry stopped in front of Dumbledore after dodging another spell, the next thing Dumbledore saw was Harry wave his arm, a second later Dumbledore saw his wand - the elder wand, the most powerful wand in existence that he had spent years of his life searching for - fall to the ground in pieces, with the handle still in Dumbledore's hand. But he didn't get too long to think about the lost of his very valuable wand because a moment later he felt three claws pierce each of his feet, he howled in pain just before Harry's removed his claws. Dumbledore fell to the ground, screaming in pain as blood poured out of his feet.
He looked up and saw Harry standing over him, snarling at him. Harry glared at him before he turned his head back to Snape, Harry saw the greasy haired man try to get up to his feet. Harry walked towards him in a deceptively calm manner and kicked him back down on to his back. Harry raised his claws as he stood over the pale skinned man.
"Harry!" A voice called.
Harry stopped and saw Ororo, Logan and Professor Xavier approaching. Harry at the three of them, then he looked at the two old women with bleeding legs, before he looked at the two men with stab wounds before his gaze finally settled back on Ororo, Logan and Professor Xavier.. There was only really one thing he could think of saying now.
"This was not my fault." He said.
A.N: Hi guys, this a short chapter but I hope you like it.
Also for those of you who are wondering - 'wand-ering'... sorry I couldn't help myself - the only four magical mutants in this story at the moment are Harry, Laura, Jean and Emma.
The next chater will definetly be longer as that will be the one where Dumbles tries to convince the kids to got to Hogwarts.
Thanks for reading, feel free to leave a review.
