Story continued for LadyLafyLibra, and as requested, a driving plot

Sebastian groaned lowly. "I left two idiots with my credit card in a cafe. I have to at the very least retrieve it before they get any ideas. Where should I meet you?"

The younger raven shrugged as he spoke carelessly while netting his hands behind his head casually. "Or I could just go with you. As you can see… I'm a high profile individual… staying in one place for too long isn't in my best interest. It's best if I'm constantly moving."

The couple proceeded towards the cafe, Sebastian stealing glances of the other while tensely glancing at the armed watchers, all while Beyond casually watched the clouds as they walked while whistling. Sebastian paused at the door and gave a worrisome glance towards Beyond, careful to take in the surroundings. The way the sun seemed to reflect almost blue out of the younger man's hair, the way his eyes seemed to shine like a ruby.

Beyond chuckled. "It's the start of a bad joke. A demon and a serial killer walk into a cafe…"

Sebastian froze and shot a glare towards the aforementioned killer. "What did you just say?"

Beyond paused for a moment before releasing a disarming smile. "Oh. Sweetie. You think I just hook up with random strangers?" His eyes landed on Casper. "Not without an informant. It's funny what an SCP will bargain with when their existence is threatened. I bet he advised you to never speak to me again? It would have been in his better interest… not that I'm much of a threat without my weapons, but, handing over a former demon who is higher on 'the list'." A dark chuckle passed the raven's shapely lips. However, there is a keyword to this tale. 'Former.' There's nothing that can be done now. You're no longer on the foundation's radar once it's reported that you're human. A dead lead. Convenient. This is the second time he's done this to me, how convenient for him to be here and also be human."

Grell glanced up to wave at Sebastian before locking eyes with Beyond. "BASSY! You did not mention your friend was a parahunter!" The red head bolted out the back door prior to shapeshifting quickly into a bird and disappearing into the sky.

Beyond smirked and turned the chair around to straddle it across the table from Casper. "Pity. He didn't even stick around for introductions." Grabbing a muffin from the tray the raven sighed quietly. "Casper. Indulge me." The former Undertaker slowly lifted his gaze to meet the crimson stare of the hunter. "Do you know why I am the way I am? Rhetorical, of course you wouldn't. So, when I was born…" Beyond patted the table at the seat next to him for Sebastian to be seated. Once his request was obliged he happily ripped the muffin in half with his hands. "See… I was blind. Mother simply couldn't have it. A noble born within wedlock who was mainmed by fate." His eyes departed his dissection of the muffin and met with both men. "Funny. Really. Mommy dearest sold herself for a façade. Unfortunately for her, she was Japanese."

Casper shot a fearful glance towards Sebastian. "Shinigami?"

Sebastian scrunched his nose and wrinkled his forehead trying to process this information. "Skinny what?"

Beyond sighed happily as he removed the raisins from the muffin's insides with ease while Casper shuddered. "In the Here After, there are multiple realms. Reapers are primarily charged with the western worlds. We take care of the agnostics, spiritualists, and those who do not have a strong faith. However, the other gods take care of their own. Japanese folks have their own Gods, as well as other regions of the world… The Shinigami are Gods of Death. They hold similar status to the Undertakers of the western world, as there is a stronger faith system in the Asian cultures, more of them are needed. Their equivalent to you is a Yokai. An attractive spirit who has never been human before, unlike their Yurei counterparts. Or a poltergeist as the western world calls them. Our friend here is what the Here After calls a Chimera. A human modified with a Deity's blessings. He has the eyes of a God. It's why he knows what you were, what I was, and what Grell is."

Beyond bobbed his head from side to side. "More or less. I am quite the asset to the human world struggling to deal with the supernatural or SCPs as they have taken to call them. If you still had your demon eyes, there isn't a chance you would have left with me that night." Beyond paused and casted an evil smirk towards Casper. "But, you did. You knew what you were sending your friend into. So… are you purposely trying to use me to deal with your loose ends, or are you that confident in the echo of a demon?" Turning sideways in his chair and dismissively waving at the Undertaker. "Your answer doesn't interest me. Either way, it's in my job description, but I wonder how tall, dark and handsome feels about it?"

Sebastian looked up to Casper searching for any hint of emotion that would hint towards the latter of the suggestions. He found none. The hunter smirked at the seemingly depressed reaction of the former demon. "See. Sebastian. You interest me on multiple levels. Are you actually hung up on me? Because I am very interested in more than one way. Wouldn't have left you my number if I wasn't."

Sebastian hung his head slightly but provided no banter to Beyond. "You sold me out?" The older raven gripped the table tightly. "For what!? What if he killed me? What then?"

Beyond inspected his nails with a calm expression. "Any other hunter would have. But, as I see it, you're human. I have no interest in killing humans. Not innocent ones, regardless of what you were, your life as a human has been innocent, shady… but innocent, you're a diligent worker at your place of employment, perfect attendance and even remember your friends birthdays… I bet if you had a mom you'd call her weekly. You were a promising turn over. Still are, honestly." Sanguine orbs departed from his nails. "It's why you've been tasked to us. As a demon you were marked for death; as a man, you're just interesting and great in bed. Addictive, really"

Sebastian lifted his gaze to the other raven. "So if I understand this correctly; you are a human with the eyes of a God… who hunts down the supernatural and paranormal; who should have killed me. But, you are choosing to spare me and even compliment my performance in bed… while the man I trusted with my life and considered my best friend… betrayed me?"

"Bingo darling. It's me who should be your enemy, but," Beyond stood and hooked Sebastian's chin with his index finger forcing eye contact, "I already possess your demon heart, I'd like to complete my collection and have your human one as well." Beyond leaned close to Sebastian's ear and whispered into it. "Meet me in the parking lot behind your apartment complex if you're interested, I'll wait until 8pm. By 8:01 I'll have received the message of disinterest and I'll disappear from your life like I never walked into it."
