Luke tries to listen patiently. On one side, he has the Raw team discussing amongst themselves about everything that's been going on with Insekimon, and on the other side he's got the Smackdown team trying to get his attention about Shinsuke's disappearance. He gives it a minute and when it's still not calming down, he whistles. Loudly. Everyone immediately falls quiet, shocked, and he smiles mirthlessly. "Good. Hello. Now, let's see. Insekimon will be taken care of, yes, but I'm more concerned about Shinsuke right now." He turns to the Smackdown team. "Explain to me- slowly- what happened."
Chad Gable tells the story, about how they'd all passed out and woke up to no Shinsuke. "We don't know what happened or where he could be, but it's an easy deduction that he's in some serious trouble. We need your help, Luke."
Luke nods solemnly. "I will do what I can to locate him, and assist you in reaching him to offer any assistance you can." He's just about to turn to the Raw team, to discuss their issues, when Betamon appears, breathless and frantic.
"It's Seth!" he cries out, everyone immediately tensing up and turning their focus onto him.
Outside, by the lake, Seth stares at Betamon. "Please don't," he whispers around numb lips. "You... you told me if I move, this Digimon'll explode. Please-" Betamon storms towards him and he flinches, just a little. He squeezes his eyes closed, certain this will be it for him, but he exhales and inhales, and nothing happens. He opens his eyes again and frowns down at Betamon. "You're not my partner," he gasps out. "He wouldn't do this to me..."
"Wouldn't I? After years of listening to you whining and complaining, of being the King Slayer and the Beast Slayer and blahblahblah, and now you've pushed Bray Wyatt on us. Why wouldn't I do this to you, just to have a chance at having a better partner, someone who actually gives a damn and knows what they're doing?" Betamon sneers viciously and swipes at Seth, amused when he desperately resists flinching away, taking the claw straight across his chest, tearing his shirt and causing blood to well up along his pecs.
Seth shudders, feeling Chikurimon biting down even harder on his wrist. "Betamon, please-" He tries to ignore the water churning behind him, certain now that Chikurimon is preparing to explode and end everything.
"Betamon please, nothing," his partner tells him coolly. "Betamon please, listen to me, Betamon please drop everything and risk your life in the Digiworld, Betamon please-"
Before anything else could be said, there's a blast of something frigid against Seth's hand and it all stops- Betamon's words, the pain in Seth's hand, everything fades away like it'd never been. Seth blinks slowl, turning to look over his shoulder. "Seadramon," he whimpers, falling limp against the sand bed.
"Seth!" his partner calls out, large head easing out of the water and nudging against him.
"I didn't even sense you digivolve," he murmurs.
Seadramon nods. "I had to do it as far away as I could, so Chikurimon wouldn't sense me either." They look up as the other digidestined approach and smile weakly. "It worked," Seadramon informs them needlessly.
"Good, I'm glad," Luke informs them solemnly. "As it stands, that's only half of our problems..." As he continues talking, Seth's eyes widen.
"Well, I guess we're goin' back to the Darkness Ocean," he says, clearly displeased at the prospect. "Tell us what we have to do."
