He is not sure if weeks have passed, days, or even merely hours. Time here is strange, runs even odder than it does back in the regular areas of the Digital World. He stares at his hands and wonders if he has aged at all in his time here, but without a mirror, can't really tell. It is too dark for him to tell much either, his hair seeming normal but that not always meaning anything.
Shinsuke shivers, slightly, his thin clothes not doing much to protect him from the Dark Ocean's weather. He watches everything, while keeping a protective hold onto Coronamon. He hates feeling like this, but he wishes the other Digidestined would figure out a way to find him, rescue him, because he truly doesn't know what to do. For once, he's completely vulnerable and lost to these Digimon's wiles and it leaves him more uncomfortable than anything has in a long time. He murmurs in Japanese to himself, to Coronamon, trying his hardest to find some comfort in this grim situation. "Ay, tasukete kudasai..." he mumbles, gripping Coronamon's limp form even closer.
But there is no response, there is no movement, Shinsuke is forced to continue looking out into the bleak, cloud covered ocean, waves crashing at his feet steadily, soaking through his shoes and adding to his dejection, but he finds he can't move. He is unwilling to move, feeling as though he's trapped standing there and worrying about what's to come next for him, hope rapidly draining from his eyes. He closes his eyes and shakes his head, imagining how desperate Sami will be if he never returns home again. "Gomen nasai... I don't think I'm getting out of this," he mumbles, fingers flexing anxiously against Coronamon's body. It's a somber thought, but somehow soothes him to simply accept it.

"We need to find him," Aiden says wearily, scrubbing at his face. "Luke seems to have some experience in the Dark Ocean, but it didn't look good when we said..."
"It's not," Kevin Owens snaps, stepping forward. "We've been there before, it's hard as hell to find, much less pull someone from. The place has a way... of getting inside your head, making you do things, see things, feel things you might ordinarily not in the regular world. You're all going to have to be really carefully if you find a way to try to rescue Shinsuke. No point in everyone getting trapped in there, after all. Then what?"
No one has a good answer for him and he sighs, trying to relax, trying not to completely freak them all. So many of them are still so new to this, their Digimon still haven't even evolved that high. Kevin exhales slowly and faces them. "We'll stick together as much as we can, but in the end, it may become every man for themselves just to get out of there because a lot of it is going to be psychological in nature, and when it gets to that point, no one can do anything to help you but you. Try to keep that in mind."
The others all nod, tense, jerky little acknowledgements of what he's said. It makes sense, but none of them are looking forward to it, even though they all feel varying levels of desperation to rescue Shinsuke from whatever the Dark Ocean might be doing to him and Coronamon.
