Seth hasn't seen Lotusmon since Voltobautamon's attack, but he thinks she's nearby because Asuka's digivice is still releasing intermittent flashes of power. It gives him some comfort as he kneels by her and watches MetalSeadramon struggling on against the digimon artificially powered by their surroundings. In other circumstances, Seth has no doubt his partner could easily neutralize this monster, but here... here, there are no advantages for digimon like Metalseadramon, there's only struggle and pain. Seth swallows hard and clasps his digivice all the harder as Voltobautamon summons a new set of abilities, as if everything he'd been using up to this point wasn't enough.

His body glows, changes, the swords hanging off of his thin mechanical arms shift and fuse together. A sword on one side, a drill like weapon on the other. All Seth can do is gape as he speeds forward and slashes the drill at MetalSeadramon. "MOVE!" he cries out, blinking hard as the digivice in his hands creaks warningly as he digs his fingers into it.

MetalSeadramon only just avoids the attack, but gets swiped hard anyway when Voltobautamon twists and strikes him across the muzzle with his shield. The digimon's pained scream is drowned out when he slides across the sand and falls, hard, into the grey water, immediately sinking.

"METALSEADRAMON!" Seth cries out, abandoning Asuka and running to where his partner was last seen. "No, no, oh my God-" He's lost, suddenly, reliving the moment where MetalSeadramon slipped from sight, and he thinks people are trying behind him- Heath, with Duftmon, maybe even Carmella with Rosemon, but there's no hope. They all end up down and out, too weak to put up a proper offense, and his hands start to tremble. We're all gonna lose. This is the end. But then there's a shallow gasp of breath behind him and he looks up, a strange fire in his eyes. "No. I refuse. It can't... it won't..." He looks back, vaguely acknowledges Shinsuke is still down, but Asuka- Asuka is up, trembling, bleeding, but alive and she's angry. Angry in a way he's never seen her.

Lotusmon appears out of nowhere, also glowing in the same vengeful kind of light that Asuka is exuding right now, and she slams into Voltobautamon, her staffs clanging against his stolen weapons, Asuka getting slowly to her feet. What she says, Seth will never know, it's just a loud jumble of Japanese in his head, but Lotusmon understands, Lotusmon seems to gain strength from it, and a brilliant flash of light suddenly surrounds them- the very tide seems to shift at Seth's feet, the waves shifting and parting, and Seth looks down to see Botamon floating lifelessly nearby. His entire face twists in devastation and he scrambles closer, scooping the baby digimon out of the water and holding him close. "Please be ok," he pleads with the creature, rushing back onto shore properly and kneeling over his partner, trembling. "Please..."

It all happens quickly from there, Lotusmon alternates between defense and offense, and it only takes a split second mistake from Voltobautamon and she has him, gouging both staffs into his body and glowing with an overwhelming amount of power, which crashes repeatedly into him, his system quickly getting overpowered by it and destabilizing as data flows from various wounds. "No!" he yells out into the lifeless sky. "Not like this- it wasn't-" The sword and drill disappear first, then the rest of his weapons and arms. "Please-" His body goes last and they all watch closely as he fades away into nothing.

Asuka exhales roughly as soon as he's gone, but she struggles to remain on her feet, holding her digivice out. "We have to go," she says roughly, clearly in pain. "Now." She can feel danger lurking around them, though it just seems to be watching, not yet planning on acting, but still. They've been through more than enough. Especially Shinsuke, who has yet to stir through all of this.

Heath and Carmella, Seth and Asuka, they all gingerly regroup with the rest around Shinsuke's prone form and hold their breath as they wait for some response from their digivices. "Please," Seth whispers, "let us go home."

Only a few moments later, a bright light flashes, forms a shape against the dreary landscape. It shifts into a box type shape, a screen forming in the middle. Seth closes his eyes and bites his lip as a couple tears drip down his face, feeling the familiar pressure as they're pulled in, and deposited a few moments later back in the main Digital World. He just stands there for a minute, breathing in the warm, floral air around him, and basks in the sun, before the reality of everything slams into him again and he collapses to his knees, holding Botamon close. The little creature is still unresponsive, not even twitching, and Seth's worry grows, even more so when he looks up to find that Shinsuke is still unconscious as well. And Asuka is barely able to stand, Calumon limp at her feet. None of the others look well either.

Thankfully they're not alone. Luke approaches and Seth looks up at him, beseeching. "Help," he pleads, tears still beading in his dark brown eyes.

Luke kneels next to him and nods, resting a hand on top of his head, the other against Botamon's soft skin. "Yes, Seth, we're here to help you. Everything's going to be ok."

These words leave Seth gasping as his emotions, held so close to his chest during the worst of this, finally shatter and he cries for real, great shuddering gasps as he clings to Botamon. "Thank you," he mumbles. "Thank you so much."
