Owens still feels off after everything that happened with Pipismon. It's not totally a surprise that he gets really dizzy and almost passes out again after another trip through the digiport. Seth's hand is solid against his chest, the man looking annoyed and only a tiny bit worried as he helps support him.

"This sucks," Owens mumbles, hating showing this level of weakness in front of one of his most hated people in wrestling. Trying to pull himself out of Seth's grip, he wavers and exhales shakily, nausea chasing him. "Shit."

"Idiot," Seth returns, pressing his hand to Owens' shoulder. "Just give it a few minutes, don't do anything."

"Let go of me," he snaps, but his voice sounds weak instead of menacing, and Seth doesn't even budge, still staring down at him when he gulps down a few deep breaths and feels a little more clear. "I said let go." This sounds stronger, more like himself, so Seth does listen this time, moving away and holding his hands up in retreat.

"Just trying to help," he says grimly, already walking away.

"I don't want your help!" he yells after him, Owens' stubbornness and dislike for the leader of the Raw Digidestined the main things holding him together as he begins moving forward once more, teeth gritting against the disconcerting dizziness that he keeps experiencing on their way to the next spot flashing on their digivices.

The village they head to seems in tact, digimon still milling around. Owens squints into the distance to try to get a better look, perhaps see if there's something on the outskirts to be worried about, but when they approach, various digimon greet them cheerfully, without a problem in the world seeminly. Owens frowns and picks at his fingers, unsure how to feel about this. Even though everyone seems cheerful and healthy, there's this strange tension in the air, as if there's something there, just out of sight.

One glance at Seth's face tells him he senses it too and Owens exhales, squaring his shoulders and venturing on, bracing for an inimment attack while Seth approaches various residents, trying to figure out what's going on.

"I can't tell you why our village was alerted as in danger, sir," a Renamon says, standing as tall and regal as any part of her evolution line ever has, hands folded primly behind her back as she stares keenly at Seth. "Perhaps your device is malfunctioning, we are just simply enjoying this beautiful day. There is no need for Digidestined here."

Seth frowns at her, glancing at his device. Last he saw Luke, Luke had upgraded something in their digivices so unless that upgrade unexpectedly broke something, he's not sure how the man had failed to notice a potentially serious issue like this. "Very well, but while we're here, is it alright if we look around a little bit? We've never been to this part of the digiworld before, and we like to see new places whenever we're able, especially when things are peaceful."

It's smart, Owens thinks begrudgingly. Sometimes Seth can be very persuasive. He can tell he's won the Renamon over as she wavers, looking around at her nearby villagers.

"Very well," she says slowly. "We hear tell of all you have done for the Digital World the last few years, it would be an honor to give you a tour of our village." She smiles and crosses her arms behind her back, waiting patiently for them all to join her.

"Thank you," Seth says with a smile, following her. They all fall in line behind him, looking around the village, watchful for anything that seems off, villagers that seem uncomfortable, or just any sort of hint that there's bad things afoot.

Alas, there's nothing visible anywhere they look and before too long, Seth runs out of excuses to stay and look for something, anything. He quickly inclines his head to the Renamon and turns to leave. "Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to show us around like this," he says. "It was a pleasure to see your village and all the beauty it has to offer. Hopefully some day we can come back and pay it a proper visit."

"We would like that," she says, her eyes fixed on the digidestined as they slowly trudge towards the exit.

"Are we really just going to leave?" AJ mutters to him, hands clenching anxiously as they walk side by side.

"Maybe, but we'll be back," Seth whispers back, keeping his eyes locked dead ahead on the gap in the hedges that is the way they'd entered the village originally. They're almost out, the dusty plains surrounding the village just in sight, when there's a soft squeaking sound and Seth stops short, watching in awe as a very tiny, transparent creature flutters by his face. "Wha..." He reaches out and holds the digimon carefully in the palm of his hand, watching as tears drip down its face. "Well, well," he says softly. "What are you? Hmm?"

"Moonmon," Renamon says, sounding oddly tense. "I apologize about this, they can be quite thick around this village." She reaches out to take the small digimon from Seth, but he hesitates when Moonmon lets out a horrible noise and rushes away, burying itself in Seth's long hair. "Moonmon!" Renamon snaps, eyes flashing with cool anger. "Get out here now, leave the nice man alone."

"Wait, it's fine," Seth says. "It seems something's wrong, we would like to help." He looks back at AJ, at Owens, who nod slowly. He burrows his hand gently into his hair and feels around until he touches the cool body of the baby digimon. "Moonmon, is it? Please..." Feeling something cool wrap around his thumb, he slowly eases his hand back out and smiles at the small creature clinging to his skin. "Hi, there. Is there something you need our help with?"

Moonmon keens a little, rubbing its face against Seth's palm, and Seth frowns, unsure what to do, the creature seemingly too upset to talk properly, when Asuka approaches. He remembers vaguely that Calumon's evolution line includes Moonmon and he smiles patiently as she stares up at him. "May I?" she asks in her heavily accented English, and he nods, holding his hand out to her. She gently takes Moonmon from him and Calumon leans in from her place on Asuka's shoulder. What exactly is said between the two, Seth can't hear exactly, but Asuka's eyes sharpen at one point and she sneaks a glance over at Renamon, her lips twisting in displeasure.

Before he can ask, she settles Calumon on Seth's shoulder, Moonmon resting on her partner's head, and Asuka marches resolutely over to Renamon. She speaks in rapidfire Japanese, so no one can fully understand what she means, but Renamon barely blinks, responding as normally as she may have if Asuka was speaking English. Their conversation seems very strange due to this, but neither of them pause, seemingly understanding the other just fine even when the other digidestined stand around, completely lost.

Things change, grow more tense and anger-filled, when Asuka steps back from her. "How dare you," she says, accent growing even more thick as she turns and walks back over to Seth, scooping up Calumon and Moonmon. "She has been holding this village hostage. No one is allowed in or out, they must be accompanied by her or one of her choosing if they are to go anywhere, and if someone resists this rule, they are shunned and refused re-entry, or sometimes, worse."

"Worse," Seth echoes and looks over as Moonmon presses into Asuka's hand, soft whimpering coming from it. "What does Moonmon have to do with this?"

"She was once a Lunamon," Asuka says slowly. "Beautiful, powerful. But she wanted to see the outside world, so she snuck out one night. Renamon saw it as a sign of betrayal and refused her entry when she tried to return. They fought, and Renamon won. Despite Lunamon giving up the fight, Renamon landing the final blow anyway, and deleted her. Moonmon reformed into an egg but another villager found it and protected it, hiding it away from Renamon until it could hatch safely. Moonmon heard of us being here and knew the only chance she had to save them all from Renamon was now."

"So it was all an act," AJ mumbles, eyeing Renamon as she stares coolly at them. "Thought it seemed a little too good to be true."

Asuka gently takes Moonmon off of her shoulder and returns her to Seth's hands before turning to confront Renamon once more. "You may have ignored your villagers' wants and needs for too long, but no more. No more killing them when they refuse to do as you demand of them, no more trapping them in this tiny village with no prospects of change. No more. Let them do as they please."

"I'm the only thing protecting them," Renamon snaps. "Do you not understand that? With my restrictions, we have never been attacked by outside forces, our villagers have never been harmed, we live a simple, peaceful life. It should be enough for them all!"

"That should be their choice, not yours," Owens speaks up, joining Seth, AJ and Asuka. "Besides, why would they worry about outside forces attacking them when they can't even go for a short walk outside without running the risk of you killing them yourself?"

Renamon looks like she wants to retort, but the words die away in her throat, and she stands there helplessly, eyes wide. "No," she breathes, as if she's just realized the truth behind his words. "I... I... I was just trying to save everyone. I never..." She shivers and looks away, claws digging into her palms. Looking back at Moonmon, she starts to cry. "I didn't mean to..."

Asuka tenses when Renamon reaches out for Moonmon, but the young digimon goes along with her, trembling and uncertain as Renamon lifts her to eye level. "I'm so sorry," she breathes out. "I... I never realized how far I have truly fallen until this very moment. I only ever wanted to protect everyone, but now I see I've taken it too far. I... I've..." She cries for a few more moments before squaring her shoulders. "I'm no longer fit to lead this village. I have harmed too many of those I was meant to protect." She exhales slowly. "I resign, and I will leave in disgrace within the hour." She gently places Moonmon back on Asuka's shoulder, turning to leave, when Moonmon lets out another of those loud, desperate noises and swoops forward, clinging to Renamon's fur. "Mo... Moonmon?" she whispers uncertainly, reaching out to brace the young digimon.

Before she can even touch the baby creature, a sharp flash of light flows through Moonmon and she gasps. "Moonmon digivolve to..." its small body stretches, grows, changes color and density. Wide, gentle eyes and a soft smile spreads across her face, pink ribbons flowing around her white body, the tips of her ears turning a gentle blue. Moon shapes cross her body, and along her forehead. "Lunamon," she breathes out, floating serenely before Renamon.

Renamon's lips tremble. "Lunamon," she whimpers. "My old friend. I'm so sorry. I lost myself, I... I never meant to hurt you."

"I know," Lunamon says serenely. "I am glad you have returned to yourself, however. I missed my friend."

Renamon touches her, strokes her face gently and Lunamon hums, leaning into her hands. "I am glad I was able to see you back to your normal self once more before I go. Perhaps you will be the leader to this village that I could not be."

But Lunamon shakes her head at this, and takes ahold of Renamon's hands. "I would rather you stay," she says gently. "Yes, you have made mistakes, but together I believe we can rectify all of them. Make this village a happy, bustling place once more."

"Together?" Renamon echoes. "After everything, you would wish to help me?"

"Of course," Lunamon smiles. "It is all I have ever wanted, my friend."

Renamon's tears flood down her face anew and Lunamon clucks at her, gently brushing them away. "I don't deserve your forgiveness."

"You and I disagree on that," Lunamon responds, smiling tenderly at her. Turning to the digidestined, she leaves Renamon for a moment, fluttering between them, her soft presence soothing all of them. She lands lightly on Owens' shoulder and stares up at him. "You are still feeling the affects of previous battles," she murmurs, and he swallows hard, staring down at her. "Perhaps from further back than you even realize."

"I, I guess," he says uncertainly and she hums, her glow suddenly spreading and rippling through his skin. "Oh, whoa, what the..." He panics for a minute, not wanting this to become a permanent thing, but within seconds, he looks normal once more, and... "Hey, I feel great!"

She smiles up at him. "I'm glad." Fluttering away from him, she swoops between AJ, Asuka and Seth, and her ribbons tickle against their skin. She never exactly lands on them like she had Kevin, but still, they all feel better once she returns to Renamon's side. "Thank you all for your help to bring my friend, our leader, back to us." She smiles at them. "We hope you visit again some day, and see our village when it's at its best."

"We would like that," Seth agrees, relieved that now the offer is made and accepted in a much more sincere fashion.

"Well," AJ says, once they're outside of the village and heading back towards the digiport to go check in with Luke. He stretches his arms out and exhales as his back cracks in response, letting loose of the last remaining tension lingering in his bones. "All's well that ends well."

"Yes, yes it does," Owens murmurs, amazed at how much better he feels than when they'd been walking here originally. He smiles and glances back at the village, spotting Renamon and Lunamon still by the gates, watching them. He waves before turning his focus forward once more.
