Chapter 29

AN: To ro781727 I read your review and yes some stories portray Uranus as a villain but not all of them do. Furthermore I myself have yet to decide if he will even make another appearance in this story much less his sense of good and evil. So if only to sate your curiosity think of this as Uranus giving Percy a gift to help him against their mutual enemies but can't be used against himself.

Artemis POV

We all sat in unbearable silence waiting for Ares to return. Most seemed shocked by the news of Percy receiving a gift from a Primordial. Dyonisis seemed to be in a mix of pride and regret. Poseidon looked like he was ready to go to war depending on how Zeus reacted to Apollo's report, same for Athena for that manner although I'm not sure whose side she be on. I glanced down at Percy's dragon currently resting in my lap.

I just couldn't figure it out, first can't get it to leave Percy then Apollo says one word and it hops on Thalia's shoulders. When she arrived in the throne room and I told the council about it a few tried to take away from Thalia only to get their fingers almost bitten. Out of all the ones who tried only Poseidon and Athena could touch it without it getting angry, in fact it seemed to like them. Then without warning it jumped off Thalia's shoulders and into my lap growing slightly. I froze thinking it might attack but it just curled up and went to sleep with it's head on my thigh.

Finally Ares walked through the doors "So what did Apollo have to say for himself." Zeus asked.

"He said that he couldn't find anything different with the boy at all." Ares said taking his seat "Based on his report and that of Artemis I'd say the dragon was his gift."

Zeus closed his eyes like he was thinking "The boy can live after all the dragon is no match for one of us." He said "Although I don't he should receive a reward for going on a quest he wasn't even aloud on in fact I think we should send him back to camp to finish healing tomorrow."

There were a few shouts of objections then I heard Apollo voice yell "Fine then my healing him will count as his gift."

"Excuse me?" Father said in a dangerous tone.

"I said I'll make my healing a personal gift. I can do that can't I besides he'll still be in danger for the next for day. His body took a lot of damage." Apollo said dead serious which reminded me of when we were younger. Believe it or not when we lived on Delos he was the serious one and I was the carefree twin. I missed those days so much, even talking to him for that matter. In six months he hasn't even spoken a word to me directly unless it's when I go to his palace and he's telling me to go away.

"I don't see the problem with that." Athena said "He'll still receive a reward for his actions just not on the same level of the others."

"Fine." Zeus said.

Apollo glanced down at Zoe and the others "You five can go see Percy now just listen to my assistants. We call you if we need you."

"Um where is Percy exactly?" The satyr asked.

"Just follow me I know the way." Zoe said.

"So what should the rest of their rewards be?" Hermes asked.

"How about a party?" Dionysus suggested "Kids these day usually love those."

"Ya!" Aphrodite yelled "We can have them be the guests of honor, besides we haven't had a real party in centuries."

"That's fine for the demigods and satyr but I have something different in mind for the demititan." Apollo said "I think we should make her immortal."

"What!" Zeus bellowed "Absolutely not she's titan blood."

"Need I remind you that every single being in this room with the sole exception of Aphrodite is descended from Titans." Apollo shouted causing Zeus to go red with rage.

"That's completely different we destroyed the titans." He said.

"I don't think it is after all she nearly died saving your daughter and killing her father not to mention all the other things she's done for us over the years I'd say she's more than earned it." Apollo said firmly.

"How about we put it to a vote." Athena said obviously trying to smooth things over. Zeus slowly nodded and we took a vote each god thinking over their choice carefully. Apollo, Myself, Hephaestus, Hades, and Ares voted to make Zoe immortal. Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, and Dionysus abstained. Zeus, Hera, Hermes, and Aphrodite voted against it.

"Very well we shall grant her immortality." Zeus said much more calmly. "Now what about this Uncle P. character I thought there were only six children of Rhea and Kronos."

"I've never heard of there being another one but that doesn't make it impossible." Athena said. "He could have been born during the war or sent away like you were."

"Mother never did say she only had six children." Hades put in "He may not even be the youngest of us or he could just be a delusional god, we just don't know enough about him."

"Then that's everyone's assignment for next time. Now meeting adjourned, I shall tell the demigods tomorrow and do we have any volunteers to plan the party?" immediately Aphrodite raised her hand. "Perfect." he said flashing out.

As everyone began to scatter I ran over to Athena who looked like she was having an argument with Poseidon about Percy, his dragon leaping to my shoulders as I did so. "Why didn't you two side me?" I asked.

"Because we had to make it look close." Poseidon said. "If Zeus had lost by a landslide he would have blown a gasket. So we let him loose by one vote and have a third of the council not even vote so Zeus doesn't feel ganged up on. Hermes only sided with him because he knew he'd lose."

"Did you hit your head because that almost sounded logical." Athena taunted. Poseidon rolled his eyes and walked out of the room.

Tomas POV

"So what did Uncle P. tell you?" I asked Thalia as we left the hospital.

"He said that I should stay away from power, that I wasn't ready to handle that kind of responsibility." She replied.

"But that's ridiculous you turned down Luke's offer." I said.

"True but when he offered it was so tempting. Just the thought of that kind of control makes me feel this almost crazed excitement, it's just plain terrifying. He was right I'm not ready if I become the child of the prophecy things will only end badly. That's why I'm going to join the hunters Percy is the only one who's ready." She said.

"What about you, what did Uncle P. say?" She asked. Behind me I saw Ares and my mother walking by, well I saw their reflection in a shield a statue was holding, Hera glanced my way.

"He told me who my mother was." I said a little louder than needed so Hera could hear me and I saw her stiffen.

"Really who is she?" Thalia asked.

"Can't tell you." I said making eye contact with my mom "but I could talked to her I'd just like her to know that I understand why she can't claim me and I don't hate her for it. I just want to say thank you." Mom got teary eyed and smiled before she ran off somewhere leaving Ares looking really confused.

I was crying as well although I didn't realize it at first "Are you okay?" Thalia asked.

"Ya it's just been a long day." I said.
