It felt like hours, and it probably was 5 minutes or less. What that woman said, Angella the principal, was pretty boring. Catra didn't even listen. She was called in there by the speaker, so she didn't have a choice. She thought it wasn't serious what the canteen woman said, but it turned out, it was. So she had to go there, to listen to this nonsense.

When she finished, she finally let her go, so she opened the door and walked outside.

"Was it nice?" - Someone said and when Catra looked where the sound came from, she saw Adora, leaning against the wall, close to the door.

"Did it sound like it?" - Catra said as she walked to her. - "Aren't you supposed to do your project, or whatever?"

"I suppose, but I thought, at least I'll wait for you, in case something happens." - Adora said, straightening herself.

"Yeah like what? She breaks my leg and I can't walk?" - Catra asked with an eyebrow raise.

"Am I not allowed to wait for you? Or are you angry that I can not hang out with you today? The project is only today, tomorrow we can hang out."

"I don't care about that project. There is nothing interesting to read that is compulsary." - She said, already started going for their locker.

"But then you will get an F. Okay, if you want, I can help you. You can come over." - Adora offered.

"Can it be the other way around, like you come over to me?" - Catra tried, because she didn't have her guitar with her. She cannot play the song she wrote without that. And she was so eager to show it already.

"No, I have to bring back Levi. Mom's gonna come home late." - Adora said, while she opened her locker to get her bag out. Catra leaned to the locker, thinking.

"Can't he go home alone, he is like 14?" - Catra said, raising her hand as a gesture.

"First of all, he is 12, and no, the responsibility is on me. But why do you want me so bad to go to your place, Catra?" - Adora bombarded her with the question. Oh God, maybe she should just let this go, and will show the song later. It's not even that big of a deal.

"Your house is boring." - She spat it out instead, but she really didn't want to say this, and this wasn't even true.

"Excuse me?" - Adora raised an eyebrow.

"Just kidding, don't take me seriously." - Catra raised her arms in defense. She opened her locker to do the same as Adora.

"Do I even want to help you? And that's not gonna include, that I'm doing your homework." - Adora said, closing her locker. They were basically the last ones in the school. Maybe the principal's scolding truly lasted one hour.

"I'm trying, okay? I'm not that smart as you." - Catra said, shrugging, and shutting the locker door harder than she intended.

"A little effort, and don't say such things, you are smart enough." - Adora said, putting her hand on the feline's shoulder.

"I... you're just... amazi-" - Catra tried saying, but then a group of people started walking down the corridor. It was two guys, and they just passed them. Well, until one of them said something to... Adora?

"Hey, Adora." - Said the black haired guy.

"H-Hey." - Adora retorted, and she looked flustered. What the hell is going on? They left, it didn't last long, they just greeted each other. But that definitely wasn't Bow, and there are no other guys she is speaking with. Or at least, that's what Catra thought.

"What was that?" - She asked, while pointing lazily towards the guys that were further away by now.

"Oh n-nothing, he is just an acquaintance." - Adora said, still a bit red. What the fuck? She turned around and started walking.

"Acquaintance, huh? Why haven't I met him before? How did you meet? What's his name? How old is he? Does he treat you right? What-" - Catra started asking questions, a bit desperate, to say the least.

"Okay, Catra. Please calm down, I don't even remember the first question you asked." - Adora said, grabbing her head, as it started to hurt a bit.

"Do you like him?" - That was the most important question she wanted to ask. It's true that Catra has feelings for Adora, but the blonde is definitely straight, but she never had boyfriends before. What if this guy will be her first? How the hell will she be able to handle that?

Adora stopped by hearing the question. Catra almost bumped into her, but she stopped in time. Adora looked back at her.

"I don't know. We only talked a little. But he is kind." - She said, looking down at the floor.

"Since when did you guys start talking? And why don't I know about it? I thought we should tell each other everything." - This statement will probably backfire on her. She basically expected something from Adora, when Catra didn't even give that respect to her best friend in the first place. As soon as that sentence left her mouth, she felt regret.

"I'm sorry, we started talking about a week ago. And with Sam, we have a lot in common. He is nice." - That little smile that appeared on her face, that expression Catra barely sees when Adora is around her. And she just shows this, when this 'Sam' is not even here. Then what kind of faces does she show him, when they are together? Are they... already dating?

"You guys are... together?" - Catra asked carefully.

"W-What? No..." - They started walking again and soon enough, they reached the entrance of the school. For a while, they didn't say anything.

"C-Can I... sing to you?" - Catra said, which caused Adora to turn around with a confused look on her face. - "I mean, it might help me get inspiration for this project... thingy." - She added, so it wouldn't feel out of nowhere.

"Yeah of course, you wrote another song? I always love hearing them. You really should perform in public, Catra." - Adora smiled and her tone became upbeat. That was it that the cat girl was missing.

"Nah, I prefer this." - Catra realized that since she got to know that Sam existed, she hasn't teased Adora since then. She is totally acting differently now, and it's weird, the other girl hasn't questioned it yet.

"Can we go back to the theater room?"

"Wait, I still have to pick up Levi. Can we do this at my place?" - Adora suggested. To be honest, Catra totally forgot about Levi. Poor little guy. That was so evil from her. Sam probably wouldn't forget about him. Oh, fuck this Sam.

"S-Sure, why not?" - Catra shrugged.

And that's how they left the school, Catra having a slight knot in her stomach.
