"Where's Asuka?" AJ asks, looking over the group of Digidestined clustered around the laptop, waiting to be transferred over into the Digiworld. This leads into a couple, subdued moments where the wrestlers look around, murmuring among themselves.

Miz is the one who steps forward, hand raised high to gain their attention. "No worries!" he declares. "Asuka may not be here but we will lead you!" He pointedly ignores the groans and protests that follow this, slinging an arm around Morrison's shoulders and dragging him forward.

"Hell yeah," John says cheerfully. "We'll be the best leaders you guys have ever had!"

"Famous last words," AJ mumbles even as he pulls his digivice out to aid in opening the digiport so they can get this day's mission started.

The area they choose to explore first seems calm, villagers going on about their day, but a few of them keep casting darting glances towards the digidestined as they make their way slowly through the small paths cutting between houses, a fruit stand distracting Lana as she examines the bright purple berries on sale there. "Come on, Lana, we don't have money," AJ grunts, putting it upon himself to keep her out of trouble. And, if at all possible, away from tables.

She pouts but follows him to a different part of the village, growing more and more uncertain why they were brought here, when absolutely nothing is going on. "I don't understand," she mumbles to AJ. "This is the most peaceful Digimon village I've ever seen."

"Yeah," he sighs. "I dunno what we're missin'." Despite the peace that seems to be blanketing the village, there is absolutely something off- none of the villagers seem eager to catch his eye, all bustling here and there as if trying to avoid the humans scattered throughout their homes.

"You're sure everything's alright?" Xavier is asking a HoneyBeemon, who keeps fluttering anxiously near him, obviously uncomfortable with the conversation but not wanting to be rude and leave mid-sentence.

"Oh! Yes, it's perfect as always," she chatters nervously, wings fluttering faster as she hovers a few feet off of the ground. "I should really go now-"

Xavier is growing more and more suspicious, as is AJ, and he thinks, based on how tense they both look, Mike and John aren't buying any of this either. "Hey, look," Mike says quietly to a group of Elecmon and Tapirmon. "we understand not wanting to rock the boat, but we're here to help you. If something's wrong, let us know. We'll fix it to the best of our abilities."

"How many villages have been destroyed without your assistance coming in time?" Elecmon hisses back and Mike recoils, stricken.

John takes over, resting a steadying hand on his best friend's back. "Hey," he snaps. He's still relatively new to all of this, but he's experienced enough to see how it eats at all of them, himself included, when they fail even a little. "We all do the best we can, and we're here now before the worst case scenario happens, so why not tell us what needs to be done instead of delaying us further?"

Mike looks at him in awe, and his impassioned speech seems to sway the Digimon before them to some extent because the Elecmon casts a quick, worried glance to the sky before stepping closer to them. "Omegamon Alter-S," he whispers, and John blanches.

"Well, that sounds terrifying," he mutters.

"It is," Tapirmon murmurs back, and then they're gone, leaving Mike and John to their own devices to figure out their next move.

"I have an idea," Mike says. "But you may not like it."

John shrugs. "Lemme hear it."

A few minutes later, the five of them are grouped together in the heart of the village, and AJ grouses. "I do not like this at all," he declares and Mike groans.

"Yes, we heard it the first time you said it," he huffs. "But this is the only option we have right now if we're going to get these people freedom from Omegamon." Turning to face where the sun is slowly setting, he raises his voice as loud as possible, watching Monodramon digivolve out of the corner of his eye. "Omegamon Alter-S. We are here to fight you to spare this village from your control, show yourself now. Or are you too scared to?"

While Mike talks, the other digidestined oversee their partners also reaching the highest level they possibly can. Before too long, Bastemon, Flame Wizardmon, JewelBeemon and Roamon are lined up, waiting, and although in any other situation, Mike would think they're a badass force to be reckoned with, right now he's just not sure.

Even less so when the sun is suddenly shadowed by something large, brutal looking. Omegamon Alter-S hovers in the sky, snarling down at them. "How dare you think you can lay claim to that which is mine," he says, hoisting an arm out towards them. "And you do it without the original digidestined in your midst. Humans, no one is as overly confident as you all. It is your weakness." He eases away, allowing the sun to shine back down upon them, as he descends to the ground. "I suppose it will fall to me to rid you of that notion."

His eyes flash blood red and, not for the first time, Mike thinks maybe, just maybe this is a little beyond them. Not that that's the first itme, and it probably definitely will not be the last. He casts a glance over at his fellow digidestined and grips his hand into a fist. "Go!"

They all follow his command, lunging after the massively tall creature with determination to see this through to the end pulsing through them.
