It has been two weeks since Adora came to school after that certain day, when Sam visited her at night, while Catra was there. And the next day Catra could already tell there was something going on between them, because first, they came to school together, and second, they were holding hands. Adora looked happy, while they were talking which made Catra feel depressed, but seeing her happy... She couldn't take that away from her. So only choice was to distance herself from her best friend.

So it means, they have been dating for 2 weeks, and that also means, Catra hasn't been to Adora's for that amount of time, which was the longest throughout their whole life. In school they exchanged small talks, and that was it. Nothing more.

Adora never got to know why Catra acts the way she does. She knew it was connected to Sam, but what did Sam do? And why can't she be happy for her first relationship? Adora would support Catra's relationship fully, so why can't her friend do the same for her? It was crystal clear that the cat girl disliked Sam for some reason. Even though Sam never did anything to her.

She cannot be jealous that Adora was the first who got into a relationship, right? Catra is not the jealous type, and Adora couldn't imagine her being jealous for such a trivial thing. Sam probably isn't even her type to begin with. She must be into cooler guys.

Adora was walking to school alone this time, because Sam started later, according to his schedule. Lucky guy for sure. She walked in and found herself in front of Glimmer and Bow, who were jumping around like they drank too much coffee in the morning. Not like it would cause anything like this to Adora, as coffee has no effects on her at all. Moreover, it just makes her tired.

"W-What?" - She asked, while trying to evade their limbs, which were flying all over the place.

"PARTY!" - Glimmer shouted, not giving more context behind the word.

"I'm skipping it." - Adora brushed it off, then started going to her class.

"Wait! You've never been this huge of a party before." - Bow and Glimmer ran after her, while Bow tried stopping her. Adora turned around, to look at them, and give them a chance to explain this 'party' thing.

"Some rich guy is holding it, and we have to go! There is even going to be a huge dance floor." - Glimmer added, while her whole aura became even more sparklier.

"I can't dance, so it doesn't really matter to me." - Adora shrugged.

"Adora, you have to come. We are going too, and we are the best friend squad. You can't miss this or you will miss out on interesting discussions later on." - Bow tried to convince her.

"I don't know guys. I'm not a party person. The last time too, if Catra hadn't been the-" - She said, cutting herself off. Yeah, that brought back memories. Last time, they were attending a party, it must have been a smaller one, but if Catra wouldn't have been there, she would have probably left after 5 minutes. But with the girl on her side, she had a fantastic time.

She is that kind of person, who sits in the corner alone, and watches other people having fun. She doesn't like drinking either, kinda thinks it would affect her brain or something. Yeah, we can say Adora is a full on geek. Despite the fact, she is outstandingly beautiful. You wouldn't think she is a nerd at first sight.

And the memory flashed even more when she heard that unique laugh from the other side of the corridor. She turned and saw as Catra pulled herself up on Eden's shoulders.

"Hey Eddy girl." - She started, still holding her shoulders. Eden shoved her off of herself.

"Stop calling me that! It sounds like I'm a guy." - She said, while Catra laughed at that. Her bag looked empty again.

Adora even noticed that the day after Catra left her house, she didn't bring her abstract to school and got an F for that homework. And on top of that, she didn't even seem sad about it. Was this revenge for something Adora has done and doesn't know about? They worked so much on that, so it hurt Adora that Catra just forgot about it, or maybe just threw it into the bin as soon as she got home.

And Catra acts like nothing happened, even though they don't really talk anymore. This can't go on forever.

"LOOK!" - Catra yelled as she pushed her phone into Eden's face.

"Yeah, I already know. It's gonna be in my neighborhood. You can already see the preparations, gal." - Eden said, putting her bag onto her shoulders.

"Yoo, we're going, right?" - Catra asked, pushing her phone into her pocket.

"Of course, what is this question?" - Eden laughed as they started going to their class, which was in the same room as Adora's. I mean, every class is, which means they see each other a lot, but do not talk with each other. This has never happened before.

"Noice!" - Catra said, while starting to show some dance moves next to Eden, who smirked at that.

That's another thing, Catra can dance too, who would have guessed. And not just any way, she dances like a pro, and to say the least, she can be really sexy when she does that, which Adora likes seeing. She is sure guys are all over her when she dances.

"Okay, why not? I'm in." - Adora said, shrugging and then started walking to class again. She could hear the squealing of her friends from behind.

"This is gonna be amazing!" - Glimmer shouted as they started walking, or something similar to that.

The party was held on Saturday at a rich guy's house. It was going to be a huge one. Basically the whole school was invited and most of them were coming.

It was Wednesday when they got the news and when the day was over, Adora waited for Catra at the principal's office... again. She didn't say that she was going to wait for her. Of course, because they weren't on speaking terms with each other.

Catra was here again, because she was dancing on a table while the whole class was cheering and when the teacher came, there was a huge tell off. I mean, it was funny and stupid, but every student got into the party spirit since it was announced.

After a decent 5 minutes, Catra opened the door and walked outside. She noticed Adora, leaning against the wall, but without stopping, she walked past her. Adora ran after her.

"Catra! Can we talk?" - She asked, but Catra didn't stop. She wasn't moving fastly, she was walking at a normal speed. She just ignored her blonde best friend and that was it.

"Look, if I had done something, I'm sorry. I don't want this to go on anymore." - She said, still walking behind her. Catra still didn't show any indications that she noticed the girl.

They were already near the entrance, when she saw Sam and his friend walking down the corridor.

"Hey, is it because of Sam?" - This made Catra stop. Finally at last.

"Can you leave me alone?" - She said in a low voice.

"Catra, what did I do?" - She asked, but didn't want to touch the girl, afraid that she might just run away. She would never catch up to her.

"You've done nothing, Adora. I just need time... to myself. To figure things out." - She said, as she started walking again. Adora let her go this time. Sam was already approaching her.

"You okay, babe?" - He asked, grabbing Adora's waist. She wasn't in the mood this time, but Sam always gave her comforting hands. She saw as Catra started running. She doesn't have her license yet, so she was coming to school by walking since they stopped talking and hanging out.

"I don't know what's going on." - Adora was in the dark. They spoke about everything with each other, but since that day, Catra has totally shut her out.

"It's okay," - Sam started while hugging the girl. - "Don't worry, it's just a phase. It happens between every best friend. Sometimes it's better to leave her alone while she deals with it." - Said Sam while he laid his chin on top of Adora's head. Adora got out of the hug.

"You don't know her, Sam. It's different with Catra. It never means anything good, when she is alone." - Adora said, looking at the distance where Catra wasn't there anymore.

"You will catch her at the party. I'm sure you will talk again soon." - He said, keeping space between himself and Adora. Sam wasn't a pushy one, he always made sure Adora was fine with whatever he was doing. Adora turned back and gave a peck on his lips.

"Hopefully." - She said, while grabbing his hand. - "Come on, let's go home." - They started walking while Adora leaned to Sam's chest, giving him a half hug.

She loved Sam, but it was just a highschool love. You never know how long it will last. She wasn't devoted to it completely.
