Chaos in a Broken Cycle
Hello everyone, I'm back from my short disappearance. I got too absorbed into world building. Anyways we should be back to our one chapter a week schedule.
Random Guy- I love the submission! Your character's introduction will more then likely be farther down the line then the others. I have plans that I can't explain yet. You'll probably get an idea for what I plan to do by the end of the Cupidity City Arc. Your OC has been accepted. I would have PM you but like Wrath's creator I cannot for some reason. Fortunately, you have provided a detailed description, which I believe is enough for the start.
So I more or less have a starting basis for Greed and Wrath already. Its going slower than I thought but the results after discussing their OC's have gone well. Lust is next you'll get a PM probably a hour after this chapter uploads and then I will work with Pride.
I'll respond to some reviews next chapter, just wanted to get this uploaded quickly since it has been a while since I uploaded.
Chapter 6: Knowledge of Sloth and the Origins of Six
Mono woke up to a weight in his legs. Looking down Six had moved her head to his lap some time during the night. She wore a content smile as she held on with quite the grip. He had tried to gently move her head earlier but she would not budge. Begrudgingly he tried to wake her up.
"Six, wake up. We need to get up and move." Mono said gently shaking the girl.
This in turn only caused the girl to hold onto him harder. Pressing her face into his stomach as she mumbled incoherently. Her extremely sharp nails that clutched him were pressing hard into him, not breaking the skin but still painful. This caused Mono to suck in air as he held in a yelp.
"Remember, play nice, we need her when you try to explore this city." Sloth said.
"Do we really need her?" Mono asked
"Well considering you came her with no plan, you refuse to kill people, you are severely underprepared for your venture. We can use her; she will protect you because Gluttony wants us back in our cage. If you were to expire, I would simply move hosts. The cycle is only possible due to my power in conjunction with yours. The chances of them finding another kid like you with powers even close to being similar are incredibly slim. However so long as you listen to me, I assure you this City and the Maw will disappear.
"How are you so sure that they'll fight each other? What if they both turn on me?" Mono asked
"While they all trapped me and you ages ago, they aren't exactly on friendly terms. Vices are in certain ways similar to humans, in the fact that they wish to expand their rule. If Greed, that stingy jerk, were to see Gluttony and Me together he'd try to keep us here, or who knows maybe he's changed in 4 billion years and in the off chance that they do gang up on us, well at least we tried. He's a two faced, silver tongued conniving creature, really knows how to sell things and ideas. We can kill them if the chance shows itself, but if you want to free the City then it's not Six or Greed you need to worry about. It's their guardian you need to kill." Sloth said
"What is a guardian? And how do we find it?" Mono asked eager for any information.
"I'm only telling you this so that we can go back home, and I don't have to worry about you waking me up every 5 minutes. Their basically creatures like the Eyes of the Signal Tower, each Vice has one, some are similar to the Signal Tower Eyes, others look completely different. They can take any form and hide anywhere in the city and you would not know unless they show themselves. They are not really intelligent but if their masters are in trouble, they will come. So if we piss off Greed, his guardian will come, which in turn will put Six in danger and hers will come. Even if she can't completely control the Maw yet it will still come." Sloth said.
"Ok we'll head out, hopefully we can find something in this city." Mono said
"This may inevitably take a long time. Greed's City is probably the biggest. A amalgamation of the most greed inspiring locations of the old world. Miles of casinos, oil fields, miles and miles of landfills all slapped together haphazardly TRY not to die please, I would like to sleep for one day without being woken up." Sloth said before his voice went silent.
Mono tried with all his might to pry Six's sharp nails from digging any further into him. He kept them from budging any further but failed to get them to let go entirely.
"SIX please stop! Mono yelled, his physical strength almost failing him.
This woke her up as her red eyes shot open, wrapping one arm around Mono while holding a clawed had outwards, almost looking like she was trying to protect Mono from something.
"Hey! You almost broke the skin! Do you know how strong you are!" Mono said massaging the area where he was gripped.
Finally waking up and taking in the surrounding, she had assumed something was attacking but only found that she had been gripping Mono to hard. A look of regret flashed across her face. She reached out to rub where she had clenched to hard, but Mono quickly stood up.
"I think you've done enough! Lets go." Mono said while feeding Barky some left over tree bark. The pup had continued to remain quite the entire time during his time in the city. Perhaps it was due to being a forest creature. He tussled the pups pine like coat atop it head and it let out a yip in appreciation.
Six stared with a hurt expression when Mono had replied to her but quickly changed to one of jealousy when she saw Mono happily rubbing the pups head.
They began making their way out of the room and down the stairs. Mono was watching Barky slowly explore and sniff around. As Mono was watching the pup Six was walking close behind Mono, eyes focused on Mono's hand that was hanging to his side. Saliva pooled in her mouth as she took a slow gulp, her hand shakily reaching out to grab Mono's. However, before she could come close to grasping his hand, Mono completely unaware, moved his hand at the last second to pull out a journal before writing away in it.
"Mono." Six asked
"Hmm" Mono hummed in acknowledgment.
"Where are we going?" Six asked
"Ahhh, well I am going to look around the city for a bit, then maybe leave." Mono said
"How did you escape from the Signal Tower?" She asked curious but hesitant seeing as she was the cause of him falling into it.
It was at this moment that Mono paused writing in his journal and his eyes slowly turned toward Six.
"I don't want to talk about it." Mono said in a firm voice.
Silence reigned between the two before they finally made it to the outside streets.
"You can come with me to the Maw when we're done here. There used to be a Lady there like the Thin Man at the Pale City but I got rid of her." Six said
"Oh that's great, guess you finally found a safe place for yourself." Mono said, clearly his mind was elsewhere, his replies were automatic and sounded like he was not really paying attention.
"I want you to come with me, there's always food at the Maw and I have my own room so we'll never have to worry about anything there." Six said continuing, trying to catch his attention.
"That's ok, I already have some place to go to after this." Mono said as they walked the desolate streets, going deeper into the more populated parts of the city.
Six kept quite after this. She wanted Mono to come with her, she truly did, but it looked like he wanted to go elsewhere. She would follow if she could, but the Maw was the only place that could satisfy her Hunger.
He said he forgave her right? So it would be ok if she dragged him back wouldn't it? He would learn that the Maw would soon become a safe haven after she took full control of the vessel. Her eyes looked glazed as she contemplated more and more about just knocking Mono out and dragging him back to the Maw.
It was at this moment that Mono felt the air around him change and he notices Six stop walking a few steps behind him.
"Hey!" he asked. That seemed to bring Six back to reality as she looked at Mono as though embarrassed before catching up with him.
The City was always dim, the sun only barely able to pierce thru the black smog that hung above the city. Extra light always being provided by the bright flashing signs of different buildings and the neon signs of casinos. Even without the sun the available light under the smog was always the same so unless he was at the very edge of the city it was impossible to tell what time of the day it was. Six kept close to Mono as other adults kept looking at her since she was still on the shorter side. Mono being tall was the only thing that passed him off as a adult.
"What are we looking for?" Six asked
"I…don't know, something important I guess." Mono said
"We need to leave the city." Six said
"You can if you want." Mono said.
"It's not safe here." Six insisted.
Right as they were walking a child suddenly burst sprinting from one side of the street out of the alley towards the other side. Weaving past adults thru their feet, the child looked terrified but also glad that he was about to make it to the other side. Right when he was about cross over into the alley though, a large black web shot out from withing the black smog hanging above the city, before the child was swiftly yanked away into the smog a terrified but brief scream was the only thing that was heard before there was nothing. The other adults carried on as if not even noticing what had just occurred.
Six and Mono stood stock still, for slightly different reason each. Six was on alert for the enemy, not panicking but keeping a watchful eye on the black smog trying to look into it with no such luck. However, if she concentrated and drowned out the noise of the adults, she could hear something stirring up in the smog, like strings being strung as whatever was there was slowly moving.
Mono had wanted to reach out to the child and offer some kind of help, he didn't know what he would do but he would try. However right before his eyes before he could even finish his thoughts the child was gone.
Mono wanted to try and see what exactly that thing was. Maybe he could still save the child. He wanted to do something! Anything! But his thoughts were interrupted again by Six grabbing his hand and roughly pulling him along.
"Six what are yo—" Mono started to yell out before Six put a finger to his lips.
"It's still there, still watching, I can hear it, barely." Six said.
That quickly shut Mono up, and they made their way, where to they did not know, but they kept looking into the smog, seeing if something stirred. They went on like this for a while before Six finally felt that the creature was gone, she did not say when it had gone away though, because she quite liked the feeling of Mono's hand in hers again.
Her blissful moment was ruined when a loud ringing started to reverberate throughout the city. Both look off in the direction of the noise and notice a giant clock tower in the distance, that somehow was not obscured by the black smog and remained visible. It seemed special or rather it had to be, how else was the black smog that choked the city sky not approach it.
"I'm going to go check that place out." Mono said.
"But why? We need to get out of this city before that thing comes back!" Six said.
"Listen Six, I'm not gonna stand here and explain to you why I need to go, I just do. If you wanna go off and leave that's fine, I'm not going to stop you." Mono said marching off while tearing his hand from Six's.
Now Six had a dilemma, while she liked Mono, a lot, she still had her survival instincts at heart. She knows it was stupid to go to a place that was obviously dangerous. She bit her lip as she stared at Mono's figure getting farther and farther. Sure she was stronger now but that didn't mean she was invincible. She was still just as easy to kill as she was years ago.
"Tch." Six gripped before begrudgingly following Mono while trying to dissuade him. As they neared the clock tower, they could tell that it was covered in grime and webs. Webb's connected to the Clock Tower in different locations that disappeared back into the smog cloud. There was a huge double door that led into the building, the window was busted, easily letting Mono reach inside and open the door.
Right before Six entered after Mono, she felt like something was watching her. Turning around she caught something staring at her from around a corner. A child just like her and Mono, except she had a piece of cloth wrapped around her head, and where Six assumed here eyes were there were to glowing dots shining thru the cloth. Their staring contest was brief before the child showed a smirk and disappeared around the corner.
The inside of the tower was covered in the same black webbing as the outside and the floor covered in dust and grime, almost causing Mono to lose his footing and fall. Walking thru the first hallway slowly he could see all sorts of tables, chairs, and stands toppled over as if they had been that way for years. Mono began scouring thru the rooms searching for something useful. Room after room was filled with random and miscellaneous things, from trash to TV's, to clothes and valuables. Each sorted in a different room. It was during this process that Mono looked into a dark corner of a room and noticed multiple eyes staring at him from a dark corner, Six noticing them first. No one moved as they stared at the creature in the corner for a while. Eventually the creature let out a screech as it sunk away into the darkness. After a bit of time Mono cautiously approached the corner and saw that it was covered in the black webbing and had a hole that went into the building's interior within the walls.
"At least if left I guess." Mono said shrugging to Six.
Right after he said that he could hear what sounded like a thousand little feet crawling within the walls.
A second later a entire wave of large spider like creatures poured out of the hole in the wall. Mono grabbed Six and ran out of the room and slammed the door shut. The only thing that could be heard was screeches and clicks as the door immediately started to give way. Near the entrance, more of them started to pour out of holes in the walls blocking their escape. Looking around Mono saw a door at the end of the hall that had the picture of stairs next to it.
Mono took off in a sprint toward the door and Six followed. Racing down the hall, a few of those creatures managed to jump onto their backs and in their panic, they would grab the rather large creatures and throw them off. The wave of creatures so haphazardly close, he was sure they would overrun him. Getting to the door Mono shoved it open with Six dashing in right behind. Mono slammed the door shut and quickly ran up the stairs as the creatures made quick work of door, managing to only buy them 5 seconds before the horde crawled its way up the stairs and walls. They climbed higher and higher, floor after floor until they came to a ladder that led to a hatch. The door itself was highly reinforced so it looked like it might hold out against the creatures. Six began climbing up the metal ladder first and was attempting to open it, which was surprising considering her strength. The door was slowly but surely opening. Mono used his powers to buy them some time, slowing down the creatures but they were still close to reaching them.
"Do you have that door open yet!" Mono yelled pushing the wave of creatures back. He could have tried to tear them apart, but he was trapped in a enclose place, not out in the open so he didn't want to chance bringing the building down on them as well. He just settled for pushing the creature back father and farther every time they got closer.
"The door is super heavy; I think there's something on top of it!" Six said pushing harder.
Mono was pushing and extending the space between him and the creatures multiple times over, the strain of stretching space well beyond its limits starting to take its toll on him.
Six finally managed to push the hatch open end quickly climbed thru.
"Come on!" Six said.
Mono then quickly let go of the wave of creatures and climbed thru the ladder. Some of the creatures close enough, managed to grab onto Mono's legs. Mono threw himself thru the hatch on the final step of the ladder and Six slammed the hatch shut, locking a latch that was on it. Mono was reaching around his legs and back grabbing the creatures on him and throwing them against the wall killing them.
They could hear the creatures crashing into the steel hatch, but the door was thankfully not budging. They looked at the creatures that Mono had thrown. They had at first thought that they were overgrown spiders but upon closer inspection they were horrified. The creature did look like a spider, but there were obvious signs that it had been something else before.
Another child, it's face stuck in a pained expression. It's legs were a mixture of actual spider legs and the morphed limbs of children.
"Its another child, or at least it used to be." Six said in disgust.
They looked at the other spider like creatures too and while they all looked slightly different, they were all the same at their core.
It dawned on Mono that Sloth was indeed correct so far. Six had been incredibly useful in this situation. Her strength had been pivotal to getting the hatch open from whatever had been on top of it. Sure, if his life had been on the line he could have tore the building down but Mono would rather not have to do that.
"Sloth wake up!" Mono thought
There was no reply.
"Sloth I need to speak with you, if you could just talk for a little bit that would be greatly appreciated!" Mono thought again
Still, he was met with silence.
"Sloth! Sloth! Sloth! Sloth! Sloth!" Mono chanted
"You annoying little sh-!" Sloth yelled in his head before answering him.
"What do you want now!" he yelled.
"Do you have anything that can help me fight things that get to close to me? My powers aren't exactly made with fist fighting in mind." Mono asked
"Is that why you woke me up? Of course, I have something, BUT I'm not gonna give it to you now because of the little stunt you just pulled to wake me up!" Sloth said.
"How am I supposed to survive if you won't help me?" Mono asked
"Not my problem, perhaps you should have thought of that before coming here, shouldn't have you." Sloth said.
"Come on what's it gonna take to get some help." Mono asked.
Sure he didn't quite trust the entity yet but he certainly hadn't proven himself to be evil…yet.
"Ill take one eye." Sloth said without even missing a beat.
"What! Why an eye? I'm not gonna give you my eye, what would you even do with it?" Mono asked.
"Obviously I'm not physically taking your eye! But I can't give you power unless you give me something in return. That's how all the Vices work. Admittedly the others don't ask, they just kind of do it without asking. I mean look at your little friend over there. Long nail's, red eyes, sharp teeth and those are just the things you can see. You can always tell when you're looking at another Vice Host, they kind stick out like a sore thumb.
"Can I think about this?" Mono asked
"Considering the way you woke me up I'll give you 5 seconds, and that's still to generous. BUT I'm a nice guy, so I'll make this easier for you. I'll give you two for the price of one." Sloth said
"Fine." Mono sighed just going along with it before he would lose any help he might receive.
"Great! Side effects include, drowsiness, dizziness, increase in apathy and a decrease in appetite." Sloth said
"WHAT!" Mono screamed internally.
"I'm joking, I'm joking…..partially. Anyways you got what you wanted so please the next time you want to ask me something just think about what you want to ask me, think about it real hard, and then DON'T ASK ME WHILE I'M SLEEPING!" Sloth said before going silent.
Six was busy piling on some heavy bags that were filled with who knows what. They had initially been piled on top of hatch so now they were just being put back. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Mono just standing there before his head started to droop, he kept slowly moving from side to side before he fell face first into the hard floor.
She quickly dropped what she was doing and cradled his head in her lap, looking him over worriedly. A little blood was leaking out of his nose, probably from falling on his face, but he was otherwise alright.
They slept their normal hours so Mono shouldn't be tired. Maybe he was sick." She thought.
She looked around where they were currently at. There were pipes everywhere around them all along the walls and ceilings. The only way forward being a small tight hallway that the both of them would only barely be able to squeeze by. The room was dimly lit by what looked like construction lights and gears and tools littered the floor. As she was pondering what to do she noticed the little pup that Mono had brought with him climbing out of his coat pocket. The thing was licking his face, causing Six to push it away, it tumbled off of Mono and onto the floor, crying out surprise. It looked at Six, as if angry and barked at her. She in turn bared her teeth at the pup.
She had no idea why Mono kept the thing. Creatures like this were monsters and a danger to keep around. It might look cute now but in a couple years it'll be just like it's wild kind. She had half a mind to just eat the thing and be done with it, but she wouldn't know what to tell Mono when he woke up.
The only thing that could be heard in this part of the tower was the loud buzz of the lights and some steam coming from the pipes. Although there was one sound that pierced thru the dull buzz, and that was the rumbling of Six's stomach.
Her eyes widened briefly before pushed herself away from Mono and back into a corner. Her mind becoming filled in a gluttonous haze. Her eyes darted around frantically before they fell on Mono and his pup, who was sitting on Mono's stomach now, barking at Six in fear. Her breath was getting more and more labored and her vision getting shakier. She held out for what felt like hours to her, but in reality, over only 10 minutes.
It was then that Shadow Six appeared to her again.
"Go on, you know you want to." Shadow Six pushed.
By this time Six was clutching her stomach with one arm and keeping herself up with the other. Her eyes looked far away. Drool was pooling in her mouth, taking audible gulps while some even dripped from her mouth.
"He'll be with you forever if you just eat him, he'll be a part of you! You know he won't stay with you forever. How delicious do you think your friend would taste? If you like him so much maybe he'll taste even better, then regular people." Shadow Six tempted
Six slowly crawled toward Mono, eyes focused on his exposed neck. She couldn't help but licking her lips before she was finally right next to him.
She just laid there for a few seconds just staring. Her eyes so focused, she took one more audible gulp before opening her mouth with her sharp teeth growing closer and closer to his neck. However right before she bit down, her muscles tensed, and it seemed that she was having an internal struggle. The girl threw herself away from him once more, clutching her head as hot tears rolled down her face and onto the concrete floor. Spit and drool now fell from her mouth like a waterfall. Her head and stomach both screaming at her to eat.
"What are you waiting for? You're only causing yourself to suffer more." Shadow Six admonished
"NO! I-I d-don't want to eat M-mono" Six stuttered out trying to hold herself together.
"Well, you have to eat something." Shadow Six said
It was then that both Shadow Six and Six turned their heads to the pup that was still sitting on Mono. Six then stood up on shaky legs reaching towards the pup that backed up into a corner.
"If I swallow it whole, I can just tell Mono it ran away into the tower. I have to! It's the only way, just to spend a little longer with him. Just gotta do anything that'll buy me a few more hours with him." Six thought
She now stood in front of the pup and grabbed it roughly by the top of its head and opened her mouth wide. The pup shook and cried loudly as its legs kicked wildly as they neared her maw.
At that very moment she felt a slight tap on her shoulder, her eyes widened so quickly, and she whirled around frantically.
Nothing was there. Mono was still passed out. Had she been imagining it? Her breath was labored, and she still looked alert as she looked around. She couldn't hear anything, smell anything or see anything. She pup still struggled in her hands.
Right as she thought that she had imagined it, she was grabbed by her throat roughly, by what she couldn't tell. She could most certainly feel it. Something was grabbing her by her throat but as much as she tried to scratch at the unknown enemy, it would not let go. In the chaos the pup was dropped by Six as it then scurried off.
Darkness consumed her as her vision went dark.
Mono's Dream
His vision was filled with static, before everything started to settle out. He was somewhere dark, very dark, and also extremely cold. At first, he thought he was alone but with a slight cough he saw multiple children, all in cages. Each child had a cage with a number tagged above the cage and also a tag on their ears with their corresponding numbers.
"What is this place?" Mono asked himself.
He knew this was some type of dream or maybe a vision? He didn't actually know but he just stood there and watched. Mono didn't know what to expect but it certainly wasn't for a monstrosity to come trudging down the dark and damp hallway to the cages.
It stood tall, this creature, taller than he was when he was the Thin Man. Its skin looked slimy, every step accompanied by a squelch. Its hands were webbed, and its head looked like some kind of sea creature with tentacles. In random parts of its body, it had scales. On its back it there were fins along with seaweed clinging to it.
"What is that?" Mono thought in fear as it marched toward him, but his body wouldn't move. He stood there as it got closer and closer and right before it collided with him, Mono closed his eyes and braced himself. However, the creature simply fazed right thru him. Mono's form only shimmered briefly like static.
The creature now stood before the cages, and multiple tentacles reached out, opening and grabbing all the children from the cages labeled 1 thru 10. The child in the cage labeled 11 lets out a sigh of relief as the creature stalked off.
Mono looked at the other children currently held by the creature but one in particular caught his eye. It was a child he knew very well; it was Six. She looked a little younger then when he had first met her, so he wasn't exactly sure at first, but now he was. He followed as the creature stalked away, carrying them who knows where.
Eventually they came to a room that was completely blocked off. The only entrance being a large metal door. It threw all the children into the room and also grabbed one club. It threw the club into the room and it landed in the center of the room. The children and Six did nothing, only watched. The creature then shut the cell door.
There was no light, no way to tell the passage of time. Mono assumed that the dream was speeding up by the fast movements that the children were making. They and Six were all fine at first, they didn't trust each other at all but they simply stared and watched each other. Days went by, their figures growing skinny and gaunt. No food was ever given, the creature never returned. The only thing in the room besides the children was the club that laid in the center. Finally, after days of starvation and dehydration one child stood up shakily and picked up the club before crazily rushing towards one of the other children. It was all downhill from there. Six was watching, trembling as she watched the crazed child bash the skull of the other child in and began to eat the corpse. Things only got worse from there, the other children fighting for the club to kill the others. They didn't trust each other, they only trusted that whoever had the club would survive. A day passed again. At least that's what Mono thought, the child who had been eating the child's corpse now looked worse off. While he was no longer full, his body had obviously had problems as he looked sickly. Taking the chance another child grabbed the club, beat him and then ate the body, not learning the lesson from the other kid.
Everyday the children would get weaker and weaker, shaking in the cold damp cell. What stood out to Mono the most was Six. She had looked just as scared as the other kids. Looking like a normal child for once. A stark contrast to what he was used to. He was used to the cold and expressionless face that she always wore when he first met her. Knowing that she has drop him to his fate at the Signal Tower for untold number of loops, he should have hated her. He does hate her, sometimes killing her really did cross her mind. But he's not that kind of person, or at least that's what he tells himself.
If what he was looking at was the past, then he honestly felt…..sad, maybe pity. Still, he watched.
The number of children in the cell dwindled from the initial 10 to 3. Six had managed to survive the whole thing miraculously by staying in a far corner, the other children just being unlucky to be the closest to the others. Bones and putrid meat littered the cell floor. The other two children were fighting each other wrestling over the club, a constant struggle between the two before one managed to pry the club from the others arm before beating and breaking his cellmates' bones. The child had a crazed smile and stood up elated looking into the ceiling. This proved to be his fatal mistake. It seemed that Six had sensed that one would soon prevail and had been quietly sneaking up toward them. Before the kid could react Six's teeth were already sunk into his throat.
When the child finally stopped moving Six didn't immediately eat like the others. She simply stood there crying while looking at her hands. It seemed that the only thing that caused her to act was fear. She held out for as long as she could. She had thought if she was the last one that that creature would come back to take her out, but nothing came. She stood in a cell of corpses alone now. Her stomach that was already empty now groaned even louder. The dream sped up once more until it showed Six reluctantly eating the flesh. Only days later would she be taken out. Only for the process to be repeated over and over again.
The dream finally fell apart into static, and Mono now stood in a void, only with more questions. That creature didn't look human whatsoever. Most monsters that he had seen had obviously once been adults or children at once point. It scared him, because this thing wasn't like the moose, a corrupted animal, no, in fact it looked to have some intelligence at least, but what were they doing?
Mono suddenly felt as if he was being watched. Turning around he a giant Eye that looked inhuman. There was no way it could be the iris was a light shade of green. The pupil was like that of a squid and was pure black. Something didn't feel right to Mono, it felt like this eye was looking right into his head. He felt an unknown force in his head trying to pear thru before everything stopped.
"You really don't know your place, do you?" Sloth stated now as Static Mono. He had a hand placed on Mono's shoulder while staring down the Eye across from them.
Another Eye hovered over Mono however this one was closed completely.
"Now look what you did. I hope you can handle the consequences of trying to peek into my hosts head and disturbing my slumber." Sloth said.
The Eye above Mono then opened slightly. Not even opening a quarter of the way and the other Eye let loose a terrifying screech of pain as its form shook and trembled like static. It looked like it was struggling it's hardest to hold itself together from being torn apart. It then disappeared without a trace.
"God! Is this what it's like to have a host. It's too much work! I literally can't leave you alone for 5 minutes without you getting into trouble. It's like you even dream yourself into trouble. What's wrong with you? Do I have to beg you not to bother me?' Sloth said.
"W-wh-what was that thing?" Mono asked
Not something you should be worried about at the moment, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I am literally gonna cry if you wake me up again kid. I'll make you stay asleep for an entire day if I have too! Ok! Now begone!" Sloth said.
Everything fades to black.
Chapter 7: The Clock Tower and A Girl with Glowing Eyes
